Tree of Life Here, we will explore the latest food, construction, and merchandise updates happening around Disney’s Animal Kingdom. So hop on board as we journey through the vast news jungle. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Food Update Eight Spoon Café Eight Spoon Café is a snack cart in Animal Kingdom that offers bites like Mac and Cheese and Mickey Pretzels. Closed Eight Spoon Cafe Kiosk Now, they have added Corona Extra to their menu! Corona Extra Flame Tree BBQ If you’re like me then you may believe that carbs are life. Therefore, you might be happy to know that the cornbread side is BACK at Animal Kingdom’s Flame Tree BBQ. Flame Tree BBQ Menu This side used to come with some of the platters, but now it’s a $2 upcharge and can be purchased separately. Flame Tree BBQ Cornbread Nomad Lounge This morning we shared some delicious Nomad Lounge news! Nomad Lounge Nomad Lounge has officially added three BOWLS to the menu. Guests can now choose from the Chicken Manchurian Nomad Bowl ($11.00), the Wagyu Beef Nomad Bowl ($18.00), and the Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowl ($15.00). 3 New Nomad Bowls Each bowl is served with steamed Rice, Red Cabbage Kimchi, Ginger-Scallion Oil, and Crimini Mushroom. Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowl Honestly, we were blown away with the tenderness of the meats, the mixture of textures, and the overwhelming amount of flavors thanks to the way the bowls had been seasoned. Chicken Manchurian Nomad Bowl Check out our full review of these NEW bowls here! Wagyu Beef Nomad Bowl Nomad Lounge has also added the new Cluver and Jack Cider to the menu. This cider is imported from South Africa and is made with handpicked Granny Smith apples. Not only is this a refreshing addition to the growing menu, but it paired well with the bowls. The tartness really complemented the rich flavors of the meats. New Cider at Nomad Lounge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Construction Update DinoLand U.S.A. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in DinoLand U.S.A. DinoLand U.S.A. Christmas Lights! Yesterday we noticed that lights had already been wrapped around the water tower near Restaurantosaurus. We cannot wait to see the rest of the decor start popping up around the park. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update While we’ve spotted all kinds of holiday merchandise around the parks including new ears, decor, ornaments, and more, we noticed a few different options in Animal Kingdom. Riverside Depot Over at Riverside Depot, we saw a few Artist Series Ornaments. Each of the limited-edition ornaments are created by a different artist. Lion King Artist Series Ornament The Lion King ornament was created by Maria Stuckey. It features the iconic Hakuna Matata scene with Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba. The Lion King Artist Series Ornament Another artist that designed an ornament was Brian Blackmore. Donald Duck Ornament Brian has brought the magic of the holidays to life with this Donald Duck ornament, don’t ya think?! Donald Duck Ornament We also spotted the even more classic and vintage looking Donald option! Donald Duck Ornament Tink has also fluttered onto an Artist Series ornament created by Costa Alavezos. Tinkerbell Ornament I’m lovin’ her sassy look! Tinkerbell Ornament Darren Wilson thought up a Sorcerer Mickey ornament that is making us want to dish out $34.99 RIGHT NOW. Mickey Ornament I can hear the magic brooms approaching, can’t you?! Mickey Ornament Each of these limited-edition ornaments is $34.99. Looking to cozy up with some Disney holiday socks? Then, look no further as we have found a super adorable and comfy lookin’ pair. Winter Socks These winter socks even have little grips on the bottom, so you shouldn’t slip and slide when walking around your house. Winter Socks The winter socks can be yours for $19.99. Disney has recently released a few holiday plush. And now we’ve found even more at Riverside Depot! Mickey and Minnie Christmas Babies Just look at how sweet these Christmas Babies are! Minney is rocking her iconic red bow, while Mickey has on the cutest little Santa hat. Mickey Baby Christmas Plush You can wrap them up in their cozy Christmas blankets. Mickey Baby Christmas Plush These are sold separately for $29.99. Discovery Trading Co. One of the fun spinning pens that we noticed in Disneyland a few weeks back has spun into Discovery Trading Co. in Animal Kingdom!
