Disney4me
We’re fond of Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom due to their consistent delivery of hand-crafted cocktails and adventurous bites! It is a favorite amongst us all here at DFB! Nomad Lounge If you need a little refresher, The Nomad Lounge is conveniently located on the pathway towards Pandora. You’ll find it attached to Animal Kingdom’s Signature Restaurant Tiffins. It’s easily accessible from Discovery Island, Africa, and Pandora — but we enjoy it so we’d even make the trek across the park! We’re making the return once more (not for their delicious wagyu beef sliders) to try several new menu items that just dropped! We’re talking’ Nomad BOWLS and Cider, people! Nomad Lounge Updated Menu Before we dig in, we need a drink! Our bartender informed us that they often receive requests for interesting and unique ciders to try. We couldn’t wait to try the new Cluver & Jack cider! New Cider at Nomad Lounge Cluver & Jack is imported from South Africa and made with hand-picked granny smith apples. New Cider at Nomad Lounge After sipping on this refreshing new cider, we’re now ready for the main event! Nomad Lounge has introduced 3 new bowls – Chicken Manchurian Nomad Bowl, Wagyu Beef Nomad Bowl, and Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowl. All three dishes feature, in addition the protein of your choice, Steamed Rice, Red Cabbage Kimchi, Ginger-Scallion Oil, Crimini. 3 New Nomad Bowls We’ll start with the lightest of the 3 protein options, the Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowl. Priced at $15.00, it was seared nicely and served over a heaping helping of the rice! Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowl This is a solid option. While it is a lighter protein, with all the accompaniments it makes for a fairly substantial meal. In case you were wondering, Togarashi is a spicy powdered assortment of dried chili peppers and other seasonings used in Japanese cuisine. Togarashi-spiced Tuna Bowl If poultry is more of your thing, next up we have the Chicken Manchurian Nomad Bowl. The least expensive of the bunch, it is priced at $11.00. Chicken Manchurian Nomad Bowl With both Indian and Chinese influences, The Manchurian Chicken was not only flavorful but we thought the texture was just perfect. In the breading, you could taste the ginger garlic paste and red chili powder. This was the clear winner for us! Chicken Manchurian Bowl at Nomad Lounge A close second was the Wagyu Beef Nomad Bowl, priced at $18.00. The wagyu was SO tender and SO flavorful. Wagyu Beef Nomad Bowl The mixture of textures is great. We loved the crunch of those noodles on top! Wagyu Beef – Nomad Lounge While we enjoyed all three, the chicken and wagyu options were the clear standouts. All proteins were very tender and cooked well. Note, each dish featured a lot of mushrooms, so be aware in case you aren’t much of a fungi fan. In all, these are all solid dishes added to a menu that keeps us coming back for more!
