Pumpkin Pancakes at Kona Cafe Found at Disney’s Polynesian Resort’s Kona Cafe, the Pumpkin Pancakes they’re serving up this year are topped with a new cinnamon butter, pieces of spiced pecans, and candied pumpkin! Oh man, this is GONNA BE GOOD! We first spotted that the Pumpkin Pancakes had returned to this Polynesian pumpkin patch a few weeks ago when we were waiting in line for the Hatbox Ghost Tiki Mug at Trader Sams. Today, it was looking like a Pumpkin Pancake sort of day, so we caught the next hayride over to the Kona Cafe where we placed our order for the seasonal short stack along with a side of spiced ham a.k.a. SPAM, because, we fancy like that! Pumpkin Pancakes at Kona Cafe The cinnamon butter was all melty atop and slowly seeped into the pile of beautifully golden brown Pumpkin Pancakes! Believe it or not, they were served with yet, even more butter on the side, but it wasn’t totally required, despite the cries of our butter-loving hearts! Pumpkin Pancakes at Kona Cafe The pancakes themselves tasted divine — just how we’d remembered them from previous years. Light, fluffy and just the right level of sweetness to them! The special cinnamon butter, pecans, and candied pumpkin bits really brought this new version of Pumpkin Pancakes to new heights, though! Pumpkin Pancakes at Kona Cafe And when some of the buttery pancake topping accidentally found its way on top of our spiced ham, there were Halloween fireworks, and we’re not talking about the ones at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Pumpkin Pancakes at Kona Cafe The Pumpkin Pancakes cost $14 and come with your choice of bacon, spiced ham, or sausage. We asked a Cast Member how long they’d be hanging around for, and after verifying with the chef, it seems likely they’ll be at Kona Cafe until at least Thanksgiving — and maybe a little white after!
