Disney4me
If you’ve visited Disneyland, you’ll likely remember the 147-foot-tall mountain standing in the park (quite majestically, we might add). Disneyland’s Matterhorn Although we love hopping on the bobsleds inspired by Switzerland‘s actual Matterhorn, the epic escape from the Abominable Snowman will be taking a hiatus over the next week. According to the Disneyland website, the Matterhorn Bobsleds have been closed for refurbishment this week. This week’s refurb took place from October 21st through October 25th. The attraction will also be closed next week from October 28th to November 1st. Matterhorn Closure Notice The ride is likely closing during the week due to an August 8th incident where a part of the “rocks” fell off the side of the mountain. However, nobody was injured and Cast Members discovered the problem in the morning before park opening. Since then, one side of the attraction has been closed to prevent further issues. Matterhorn Bobsleds Although the closure will affect guests’ current visits, the quick refurb should be finished on November 2nd. The Abominable Snowman will be roaring back into action again soon, friends! Check out our Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox!
