Disney4me
You never know what you’ll find at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs! Wine Bar George Which is probably why we hang out there so often — and try to catch all their latest tasty offerings! On our most recent visit, we discovered Wine Bar George had added some new small plates, entrées, AND had updated their beer and cocktail menu with almost entirely new stuff! First, we’ll examine the Wine Bar George’s latest bar menu! Everything is new except for the American 75, Jorge’s Red Sangria, and the Wake Up Call! (TONS of new tasty mixed drinks, ciders, and beers to choose from!) Wine Bar George Menu And it looks like Wine Bar George has also added a fresh Frisée Salad with seasonal fruit, orange vinaigrette, blue cheese, and walnuts, Shishito Peppers with lime and chipotle seasoning, and Ibérico Pork Pluma with Yukon gold potatoes confit to their small plates menu. New entrées include a Santa Carota Short Ribs and Bell & Evans Chicken Breast, but hold up a sec — wha dat? Saganaki ON FIRE??? Wine Bar George Menu Well, the moment we saw the Saganaki On Fire, we knew what were havin’ for lunch! The new appetizer features a delicious Vlahoriti cheese which your server sprinkles douses with Metaxa and then sets ABLAZE! Saganaki On Fire As the Metaxa burns, our server squeezed fresh lemon juice over the fire which increases the flames! The fire effect would have been much showier and impressive had it been nighttime, but since it was the early afternoon when we stopped by, the flames were barely visible and only last a few seconds. After the alcohol had burned off, it was time to get down to business! Saganaki On Fire The cheese itself was FANTASTIC — wonderfully melty with crispy bits like the ones that get stuck on the sides of the pan when you’re melting something cheesy in the oven (we’re not the only ones who love that, are we?!)! It was served with crostini on the side, just sadly NOT anywhere near enough to enjoy all of its cheesy goodness! But bread to cheese ratio disappointment aside, this Saganaki On Fire was delicious!! Saganaki On Fire But what about bread and melty cheese is there not to like, really? Saganaki On Fire With so many new cocktails to try, it was tough choosing just one! Our server recommended the Citrus Drop of Fife made with Gordon’s Gin, Italicus Rosolio, Gabriel Boudier Pamplemousse Rose, and Lemon! Citrus Drop of Fife This drink was absolutely fantastic. So crisp and refreshing! To us, it tasted a lot like a Lemon Drop but with gin instead of vodka. The lemon gave the drink a nice tartness — it was an excellent recommendation! Citrus Drop of Fife Melty cheese, bread, and a drink? We can honestly say this was one tasty lunch at Wine Bar George! We hope you get the chance to swing by and sample their new menu items for yourself — especially the CHEESE ON FIRE!!!
