Plant-based options are launching all over the Disney parks, and now there’s a kids’ option on Batuu in Disney World!

Disney World is diving headfirst into the world of plant-based cuisine and that means a lot more options for vegetarian and vegan guests. Earlier this month we reported on the brand new plant-based logo and plant-based Mickey Waffles and now Star Wars: Galaxy Edge has joined in on the initiative!

Today, we found a new kids’ menu item at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo called “Meat” Marinara and Pasta. This entree is made with Impossible Meat (a plant-based meat substitute that is super popular right now) in the marinara sauce. And we have to say, it does fit the look of the food of Batuu.

The price for this meal is $8.99, a dollar cheaper than the Fried Chicken kids’ meal and the portion seems great for those with smaller appetites.

Meat substitutes can definitely be hit-or-miss, but we really enjoyed the Impossible Meat. The texture of the sauce is was very close to a meat-like texture, so we feel like kiddos should still find it pretty tasty.

As for the flavor of the sauce, it’s definitely on the milder side. It’s not overly sweet and there’s no spice really at all. If your kiddo likes something with a punch of flavor, this might not be the meal for them. However, some kiddo like more mild foods, so the marinara could be a good option for those picky eaters!

This dish probably wouldn’t hold up too well as an adult entree with the softer flavor, but it definitely makes for a hearty kids’ meal!
