Besides the 999 happy haunts that normally reside at Disneyland, we spotted a strange-looking new guy we’d never seen before!

Halloween Time in Disneyland

He’s not your traditional spooky dude (how do we describe this fella.. he’s WEIRD, but in, like, a cute sorta way?) Well, you’ll see what we mean…

Behold! The Monster Halloween Cake!!! C’mon, whatta face! Wait… is that his face?

Monster Cake

Ok, maybe the Monster Halloween Cake is a bit perplexing, but it looks super fun and interesting! We found it at The Plaza Inn in Disneyland! Here’s lookin’ at you, cake!

It features a chocolate cake with layers of multi-color white chocolate mousse and green buttercream, finished with royal icing eyes and sprinkles! As excited as we were to try this odd creature, we sadly weren’t really thrilled with the taste. The icing eyes that originally sold us on this thing tasted kinda bizarre — even for a monster cake!

Monster Cake

Don’t get us wrong. It’s still a good, high-quality piece of cake — it was nice and moist and the buttercream really stood out. It’s just that it wasn’t particularly unique. Maybe because we’ve seen many renditions, like the Main Street Electrical Cake, in the past.

If you didn’t already completely gorge yourself on The Plaza Inn’s fried chicken (usually, we can’t even walk after eating there, but just sayin’) if your still somehow peckish, the Monster Halloween Cake would be a nice finish to the meal.

The Monster Halloween Cake is $5.99 and will probably be packing its monster suitcase once Halloween is over, so head over to The Plaza Inn to grab it before it goes!
