Disney4me
Disney Cruise Line recently completed a new enhancement to the Disney Wonder. Disney Wonder And after seeing the photos they just revealed today of the fresh new space, we’re wondering if we should be packing our bags for a Disney cruise instead of heading for a stay at Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort! The Disney Wonder joined the Disney Cruise Line as the fleet’s second ship back in 1999, but underwent a big renovation back in 2016. Even after its extensive rehab, Disney has continued to tinker with it and the new images we got to see today are of a brand new area called the “French Quarter Lounge.” Check out the full-sized streetcar! ©Disney Disney’s Wonder has been the home of Tiana’s Place Restaurant, a popular Princess and the Frog-themed dining spot which we think this new lounge draws a lot of its inspiration from. The flourishes of ironwork, hand-painted murals, and soft lighting provided by lanterns all help to set the mood of the Big Easy with ease. (We think we even spy Facilier’s shadow lurking!) ©Disney According to the Disney Parks Blog, “Each evening at the French Quarter Lounge, guests can enjoy live music on the lounge’s gazebo stage, sip a New Orleans-themed specialty drink and dance the night away.” ©Disney Disney Wonder has also refurbed Cove Café which offers specialty coffee or tea throughout the day, and wine, cocktails, and small plates at night. The nearby Signals Bar has also been remodeled with a similar updated look. ©Disney The just-for-teens Vibe has also received some attention with a new coffee bar and enhanced virtual reality technology. What an exciting time this is for folks who’re about to go cruisin’ on Disney Wonder! Looking for more cruise updates? Be sure to check out everything we know SO FAR about the NEW Disney Wish.
