Stage Door Cafe Sign And, although we aren’t quite ready for sweater weather, you can still get some great apple pie in Disneyland! The Apple Pie Funnel Cake is now baking over at Stage Door Cafe! Apple Pie Funnel Cake Sign The hot funnel cake is piled with warm apple pie, cajeta (which is a bit like dulce de leche or caramel) sauce, whipped cream, streusel crumbles, and Halloween sprinkles. Apple Pie Funnel Cake If you’ve ever wondered what heaven on a plate tastes like, this is it!! The funnel cake was fresh and crispy without getting weighed down by all the toppings. The pie itself was about 2 to 3 inches high without the whipped cream… And all that whip made it even BETTER! The pie and funnel cake practically melted in our mouths (YUM). Apple Pie Funnel Cake However, the winner of this treat was the cajeta. The sweet and slightly salty flavor tied the entire dessert together, especially when mixed with all that apple-y goodness. The themed sprinkles even added a great texture to each bite!! Seriously, you guys, you cannot pass this one up.
