We’ve been watching construction on the Cinderella Castle walkway in Magic Kingdom for months, and guess what, my friends!

The walkway linking Fantasyland and Liberty Square by Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom has officially reopened for guests to enjoy!

We were pleasantly surprised to see that it had reopened when visiting the Kingdom today.

So what has changed, you ask? Disney has widened the walkway to allow for a lot more room for guests to dance, play, snap photos, or to stare at the castle for hours and hours. (That’s not just us, right?) We love the extra space!!

New concrete and railings have been added as well. We also spotted some lovely cobblestone when exiting Fantasyland.

A few areas of the path are still rather narrow, but there still seems to be enough room for guests to pass comfortably.

You can see a lot of the work that has been done near Sleepy Hollow as well. Here you’ll notice new red concrete that looks great with the fresh new brick being added to the moat section of Cinderella Castle.

Sadly, the beautiful Cinderella Castle moat is still under construction. But be sure to follow along as we will continue to track this construction progress as well. (We know those beloved Disney ducks are eagerly awaiting the water’s return!)

We’re really excited to see that this area has opened just in time for the arrival of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge crowds on Thursday, which are expected to hit full force and keep all four Parks hoppin’!

What do  you think about the completed pathway? Let us know in the comments!
