The new version of The Lion King roared into theaters a few weeks ago. And as expected, the film has nailed it when it comes to box office numbers.

Before the film was released, a slew of Lion King-themed treats made their way into Disney World and Disneyland. And just when we thought the jungle was full of Lion King treats, another hit the Disney scene. Now, there are a few Lion King-inspired cake pops in Disney California Adventure.

The new Nala and Simba Cake Pops have us feelin’ the love with their yummy flavor combos.

The Simba Cake Pop is chocolate cake covered in hardened white chocolate. Simba’s mane is made of coconut (colored brown) and his ears are made of marshmallow.

The Nala Cake Pop is a vanilla cake covered in white chocolate. Her ears are also made of marshmallow!

Honestly, just as expected with most cake pops, these were delicious. The cake was moist and the coconut on the Simba version added even more delicious flavor. The flavor combination of the coconut and chocolate worked very well.

The Nala version was simple, yet delicious. It’s a Lion King cake pop, so how can you really go wrong? We thought the flavors were very yummy.

We found these cake pops (which were new to us) over at Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure for $5.49 before using an Annual Passholder discount.
