Disney4me Posted August 7, 2019 Report Share Posted August 7, 2019 Hey, pals! We’re back with another construction update! Yesterday, we showed you some Disney Skyliner construction updates. Riviera Resort But, now it’s time to check out the construction progress on Disney’s Riviera Resort. Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort. It will also be the very FIRST Moderate Disney Vacation Club Resort. It is slated to open this winter on December 16th, which is just a few days after the Rise of the Resistance attraction is set to open at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. ©Disney The last time we were here, we noticed some work at the pool, on the exterior, and at the Skyliner Station. And while we still saw ongoing work in these areas during this visit, progress was evident! So, let’s take a look at that progress together! When we were visiting, they were testing the exterior lights near the pool. The construction in the area was still pretty heavy. As you can see, a massive amount of work still needs to be done in terms of landscaping. Riviera Resort The rocks have been painted a reddish-brown color on the pool’s slide. We’re really excited to see how this area turns out once it’s completed. Riviera Resort Now, a ton of progress has been made on the exterior of the building. We noticed that red awnings had been added to some of the windows. Riviera Resort We also spotted a new sign. This sign features two R’s to symbolize the name Riviera Resort. Riviera Resort Construction The letters are a lovely gold color and they even light up at night!
