Epcot Construction Update As you likely know, there is a whole lot of construction happening in Epcot as part of its huge transformation, and we’re here to give you all the updates we found! In Future World, the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is still under construction. This attraction is slated to open in 2021 and we can hardly wait! Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster As we previously reported, construction fencing and walls have gone up from Journey into Imagination toward Character Spot and around, blocking off the path heading into World Showcase. Remember that during the closure, the pathway between Future World and World Showcase is closed, so you’ll either have to walk all the way around or cut through the Character Spot/Club Cool building. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more updates! Closed Pathway in Future World You’ve likely heard by now that the Skyliner Gondola System will open September 29th! We loved getting to see the gondolas testing when we were in Epcot! We don’t have opening dates for these experiences yet, but both are expected to open in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more! Ratatouille Ride Construction Last week, we reported that the area where the American Adventure Pavilion’s merchandise kiosk typically stands has been blocked off. The area now has new brickwork. If you want to visit the kiosk, you’ll find it near Germany’s Block & Hans stand for now. If you’re in the United Kingdom Pavilion, you can often see a hopscotch board written in chalk! If it’s there during your next visit, it’d be a great way for the kiddos to let off some steam. Chalk Hopscotch In the Morocco Pavilion, we noticed that Aladdin is now meeting with Jasmine. According to a Cast Member, Aladdin joined her a little while ago, and they’re not sure how long he’ll stick around in the area. Aladdin and Jasmine Thanks for joining us on our walk around Epcot!
