Star Wars seems to be all the talk lately with the soon to be opening of Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios and the mega announcement of the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening dates for both Disney World and Disneyland.  And following suit, it seems as if a popular Star Wars overlay might be sticking around a bit longer than expected.

It’s no surprise that guests love Hyperspace Mountain in Disneyland. This Star Wars-themed overlay allows guests in Disneyland to be a part of the Star Wars universe in a unique way as they fend off crossfire from starfighters and TIE fighters.

This overlay returned to the park on May 4th and was suspected to stick around through the end of the Summer.

Now, according to the Orange County Register, it seems as if the overlay is here to stay through Disneyland’s spooky season. The OCR states, “that means Space Mountain won’t get the Ghost Galaxy ride overlay this Halloween season.”

Currently, there are no times listed on the Disneyland website for Hyperspace Mountain beyond August 22nd. So, hopefully, the times will be updated soon to reflect this change! But nothing is confirmed until announced by Disney, so stay tuned!
