I’ve got plenty of new eats for you this month, and even a couple new sips! Between new seafood dishes, pasta, Tiki drinks, and more, this month’s Best Bites is definitely going to get your mouth watering!

New Tiki Drinks at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel

I’ll go ahead and quench your thirst with two new Tiki drinks at the Disneyland Resort. That’s right, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel has added two new specialty cocktails to the menu, the Tangaroa Cooler and the Sea Monster’s Embrace, and both come in fabulous new mugs! First up – the Tangaroa Cooler comes with gin, almond syrup, falernum, angostura bitters, and juices of grapefruit and lemon. The second new cocktail, the Sea Monster’s Embrace, consists of dark rums, gin, brandy, passion fruit, falernum, and juices of lime, orange and pineapple.

Shareable Dishes at Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at the Disneyland Hotel

Pair these tropical Tiki drinks with some sharable favorites such as Panko-crusted Long Beans, Shipwreck Nachos, Fried Spam Musubi, and more. Oh, and did I mention that you can also order these drinks and dishes at the newly re-opened Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill right next door? That’s right! I recently announced the reopening of Tangaroa Terrace with full details of the menu. Go check it out – and don’t forget that you can use mobile ordering to plan your meal in advance, pay on your phone, and skip the line.

New Menu Items at White Water Snacks at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

White Water Snacks also re-opened recently at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa with an all-new menu. New dishes include fresh sandwiches, skewers, artisanal pizzas, and more. You can check out all of the details in my recent blog post. Mobile ordering is now available here, too, so be sure to download the Disneyland app on your mobile phone to try it out!

Lasagna-Pasticcio at Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

Over on the east coast, there are plenty of delicious dishes across the Walt Disney World Resort to try, including new menu items as well as a few popular items that I just have to highlight. One of these popular items is the Lasagna-Pasticcio at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. This incredible dinner item comes with baked layers of stracciatella, Bolognese sauce, pasta, and Béchamel sauce topped with a house-made Pomodoro sauce and is served with a fresh breadstick. You can find it at Intermission Food Court.

Pan-seared Georges Bank Day Boat Scallops at Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Another item that I want to feature is an exquisite seafood dish that can be found on the dinner menu at Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Pan-seared Georges Bank Day Boat Scallops are a must-try with house-made Parisian gnocchi, shiitake mushrooms, fall pumpkin, brown butter-truffle cream sauce, shaved black truffles, and fried sage.

New Entrées at Backlot Express at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a new menu has made its way to Backlot Express. Try the classic Backlot Burger with Angus beef, barbecued pork, and pepper jack cheese or the yummy Cuban Sandwich with classically-pressed roasted pulled pork, sliced ham, swiss, pickles, and mustard. If you’re looking for some comfort food, then you definitely will want to go for the Chicken and Biscuits. These homestyle buttermilk biscuits come with crispy chicken tenders, both of which are smothered in country gravy finished with a spicy strawberry glaze and bacon crumbles. For a lighter option, the Southwest Salad is a great way to go with mixed greens, crispy wonton, black bean relish, and avocado tossed in vinaigrette dressing. You can also order it with grilled chicken breast!

Key Lime Verrine at Backlot Express at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

For dessert, why not try a peanut butter and chocolate brownie or Key Lime Verrine with layers of key lime custard and graham cracker finished with whipped cream and a white chocolate garnish.

New Items at BaseLine Tap House at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, ABC Commissary is now offering a brand new sweet offering, an Apple Tart. And at BaseLine Tap House, you can now order beverages in a fun new souvenir cup! With tons of beers, ciders, wines, and cocktails on tap, you can order the mug with any alcoholic beverage of your choosing, and be sure to pair it with a delicious Bavarian Pretzel or a California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate if you’re craving something savory!

New Items at Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort recently got a new menu with an awesome new selection of dishes, including a Turkey Club Melt with roasted turkey, bacon, tomato, Havarti cheese, and sun-dried tomato mayonnaise on multigrain bread and a plant-based burger served with arugula and roasted pepper-tomato chutney on a brioche bun. On the lighter side, you can enjoy Pan Asian Noodles with vegetables and tofu, Asian-style Grilled Chicken Salad with rice noodles and mandarin oranges, or even an Iceberg Wedge with bacon, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, blue cheese, and ciabatta bread. There’s also a Tuna Salad with mixed kale greens, avocado, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, a hard-boiled egg, and citrus dressing. However, if you’re looking for some finger food, why not try the chicken wings or a yummy flatbread? The chicken wings come tossed in your choice of Hawaiian tamarind, Korean barbecue, Parmesan black pepper, or buffalo sauce. And for flatbreads, chow down on the new Seafood Flatbread topped with shrimp, scallops, calamari, and creamy lobster tomato sauce or try the Morning Flatbread for breakfast. That one is topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and house-made sausage gravy – yum!

New Lunch Items at Banana Cabana Pool Bar at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Round out the list this month is Banana Cabana at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. In addition to serving up an array of thirst-quenching cocktails and beverages, the pool bar is now serving up a hearty lunch menu. Appetizer include Jerk Chicken Wings, Chili Con Queso, and Loaded Sweet Potato Fries. If it’s salad you’re looking for, the Chilled Seafood Salad with conch, shrimp, and lump crab is a great option along with Sebastian’s Salad with mixed greens, avocado, red pepper, black beans, cilantro-lime vinaigrette, and the option to add grilled jerk chicken. The sandwiches are pretty great too, with options such as a Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, a Jerk Chicken Sandwich, a Smoked Turkey Sandwich, and even a Caribbean-style Cheesesteak. This unique take on the classic sandwich includes braised beef brisket, smoked gouda, and grilled peppers served on a Cuban roll. Kids can enjoy options such as macaroni and cheese, a cheeseburger, or a smoked turkey sandwich, all served with their choice of tortilla chips or apple slices.

For more information and full menus, check out the Disneyland Resort or the Walt Disney World Resort websites and be sure to drop on by and try these new eats for yourself! Happy snacking!
