Disney4me
It’s a beautiful day in Orlando, we’re here to see some dragons, and we’re on a MISSION to try all the new snacks and restaurants around Epic Universe to help you plan for your upcoming vacation. Come now, Vikings! We’re here to EAT. Isle of Berk Over in How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, food may not be the number one thing on your mind (it’s likely the rides or the meet-and-greets; those always seem to catch our eye first), but there ARE treats hidden around this land you may find yourself craving. However, is a dragon-themed cake pop really worth a whopping $10? We’re finding out today, so you don’t have to take the risk! At the How To Treat Your Dragon shop in Isle of Berk, you’ll find a small store filled with different sweet treats, delicacies, and more. One of the most popular offerings in the treat case is the Cake Pops, but they certainly aren’t cheap, coming in at just around $10 each. How To Treat Your Dragon We decided to grab the Vanilla Caramel Cake Pop, which has a design themed to the shop and the land as a whole. That means it’s got a real Viking vibe — this isn’t some cutesy little Starbucks cake pop. You’ll order your treat at the counter and then get a number to listen for as you wait nearby. When they call your number, you’ll head up to the counter to get your treat. Cake Pops! Now, we will say one thing — this is a MASSIVE cake pop! It’s super thick and easily has a whole cupcake’s worth of cake inside of it, so they’re not skimping out on that. Honestly, our reporter couldn’t eat it all in one sitting. But here’s where things get interesting. This cake pop came with a Ziploc bag (with a cool dragon on it, btw), so it was easy to just stick it back in there and save for later. As frequent leftover hoarders, that Ziploc bag was a WELCOME bonus. Vanilla Caramel Cake Pop Now, in terms of flavor, the vanilla caramel cake wasn’t overly sweet, which we appreciated. It’s very dense and moist, and we really loved that it didn’t have too much of the candy chocolate coating on the outside of it. The ratio was ON POINT. Our honest opinion is that if this cake pop were any smaller, it would totally NOT be worth the price, but since it’s huge, easily shareable, and tastes great, we say it’s worth it if you’re someone who really loves cake and easy, portable treats! OK, Epic Universe, WE SEE YOU. From the Ziploc bag (yes, we’re still taking about that) to the super-sized cake pop portion, this was a surprising winner! More Recent Epic Universe News!
