Disney4me
Something might look a bit DIFFERENT the next time you decide to stay at this particular Disney World hotel! Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter Disney World’s been hard at work lately refurbishing its hotel rooms, amenities, and even making some huge changes in its parks. Just when it might feel like all Disney World is doing lately is change and construction, its always nice to see it all come together once they’re finished! With over 25 themed Disney World hotels, it might feel a bit overwhelming to decide which you should choose to stay in over the course of your next visit. Each is uniquely themed inviting you to immerse yourself in a different world during your vacation and now we’re getting our first look inside one of the most recently completed updates. Port Orleans — French Quarter Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter’s hotel rooms have been under refurbishment for quite sometime, but we can’t say we feel slighted by the recent changes at all! When you choose to stay at this hotel, you’re instantly transported to become an intimate part of the lively streets of New Orleans. This whole resort is filled with colorful building facades, grand walkways and lush greenery that all work together to evoke the feeling of walking through the city’s historic streets. Mardi Gras parade! When staying in the “Big Easy” it’s all about the decor! Throughout each room, colorful fabrics and patterns inspired by the city’s charming architecture bring the lively spirit of Mardi Gras to life. You’ll also notice nods to Mardi Gras’ festivities and celebrations, including artwork that lines the walls featuring the iconic Mardi Gras strands of beads in purple, gold and green. ©Disney Our eyes were especially drawn to the pop of color you’ll find in the artwork and corners of the cabinetry against the cool tones of the blue furniture. The ground in each room has also been refurbished to a warm, brown flooring, and the updated portraits add even more character to your room (quite literally)! A closer look reveals The Princess and the Frog’s Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis, and Charlotte La Bouff all dressed in their Mardi Gras best and dancing through the French Quarter in style! ©Disney But what really caught our attention was the intricate detailing on the bathroom door and mosaic-style pattern above the beds. A keen eye might catch hidden details like Tiana’s sparkling tiara, as well as drums and trumpets — an homage to New Orleans’ jazz roots. ©Disney The updated bathroom looks as relaxing as it is functional. It offers plenty of storage options along with a spacious counter — perfect for mornings when the whole family is getting ready! ©Disney But the room’s here aren’t the only recent refurbishment you’ll find at this hotel. Both the Doubloon Lagoon pool and Mardi Grogs pool bar have recently just unveiled updated surfaces in the pool and vibrant designs to make the room’s updated decor. They also now feature airy blues, black-and-white tiles. and wrought iron details so be sure to check them all out on your next stay! ©Disney Don’t go away — there’s plenty more Disney World news to share!
