However, this August is going to be even busier than you might have imagined because a LOT is going on that day. So if you’re headed to Disney World on August 29th, here’s your heads up.

EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival kicks off on Thursday, August 28th, but Friday, August 29th, is the first weekend of the festival, which means EPCOT could be pretty busy that day (and through the weekend). The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is probably the most popular EPCOT festival, too, and a lot of folks will want to check it out as soon as they can.

Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney kicks off on August 29th and runs through August 31st at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Those attending the event can expect to see some behind-the-scenes stories, special guests, live performances, and more. You also get a sneak peek into the future of Disney, as well as get first access to exclusive shopping opportunities. We also expect this event to include presentations and announcements about the future of Disney movies and parks.

Disney has promised this year’s even will be “mark the biggest of its kind yet!” so expect things to get exciting starting on August 29th.

Halloween Horror Nights

Over at Universal Orlando, Halloween Horror Nights kicks off starting on August 29th. The event runs through November 2nd. A lot of Disney fans will head on over to Universal to be TERRIFIED (yes, this is NOT Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, this is the SCARY Halloween Party) all in the name of fun.

This is a VERY popular event and tickets go fast, so if you’re interested in attending, especially on that first night, keep an eye out for when tickets go on sale.
