Disney4me
It’s time to get SPOOKY. Halloween in Magic Kingdom Okay, okay, it’s actually NOT, but we’re already thinking ahead to the Halloween season in Disney World now that we’ve got some dates AND details about this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Now this year’s party will see a lot of returning entertainment, character meet and greets, and activities. BUT some new additions have been added to the party this year, so let’s dive into those NEW things. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party is a separate ticketed after hours event that happens in Magic Kingdom from August 15th through October 31st. A ticket to the event gets you into the party at 4 PM, although it doesn’t start until 6 PM. You also get access to exclusive entertainment, snacks, character meet and greets, and all the candy your trick or treat bag can hold (yes, even adults can trick or treat at the party!). This year’s party, though, is bringing some new things! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2024 Jack gets a makeover One of the most popular things to do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is to meet Jack and Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas. Seriously, the line to meet this couple is usually the longest line of the evening. So in previous years, Jack has looked a little…well…off. Instead of having a round head like he has in the movie, it’s longer and more angular. Here’s Jack at the 2024 party. Jack and Sally! This year, though, Jack looks a lot more like his movie counterpart. Disney posted the following video to show off Jack’s new look. View this post on Instagram It’s likely this NEW version of Jack will bring even longer lines for the Jack and Sally meet and greet at the party, but we can’t wait to see his new look in person. Zombies Dance Party For fans of the Zombies movies, you’ll be able to dance the night away with the music from Zombies 4, as well as other Zombies movies. Costumes from Zombies 4 Break out your best Zombies dance moves, y’all! Price increase and later dates So this year has also brought something we’re NOT super thrilled about. Prices for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party depend on the date, but now the price for the most in-demand dates has gone up. Last year’s price for party tickets ranged from $119 to $199. This year’s price, though, ranges from $119 to $229, meaning those high-demand dates now cost $30 more! Ouch. 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party welcome sign We also noticed that this year’s parties are starting a little later. They usually start the second weekend of August, but this year’s parties start on the third weekend of August. However, there are still the same number of parties as there were last year. CONFIRMED: PRICE INCREASE Hits Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World Mickey and Minnie Now, at previous parties, you could meet Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween outfits, but they usually met separately. Well, this year, for the first time EVER, Mickey and Minnie will be meeting party guests together in their Halloween outfits at Tony’s Town Square Theater. Mickey at his very own 2024 Not-So-Scary Halloween Party This is generally where Mickey meets guests during the day, but if you want to meet the STARS of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll want to make sure to make time to stop by when the party starts. Possibly a new place to drink and eat? We’ve added this as a bonus, even though it is not officially confirmed just yet. This year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party could see a brand new place opened in Magic Kingdom with food and drinks. Yep, that Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge, The Beak and Barrel, may very well be open during the party. Okay, so we don’t know this for sure, and Disney has only said The Beak and Barrel will be open in late 2025, but it COULD happen. Here’s the thing, though: originally, The Beak and Barrel website had information detailing it would be open during the party…but Disney later took that info. down. Make of that what you will. ©Disney So, what does this mean if it is actually open this fall? Well, considering it’s probably going to be hard to get into that lounge on a regular park day, a lot of folks may be using the party to get access to the lounge, meaning it could be hard to get into during the limited ticket event, too. So this year’s party is looking to be EVEN better. If you’re interested, tickets go on sale for select Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests on May 15th and to the general public on May 22nd. Tickets are limited, and many dates sell out quickly! Stay tuned to DFB for more.
