Disney4me
The brand-new, insanely innovative and thrilling Epic Universe park opens on May 22nd, but we have been able to visit the park several times through previews, so we are sharing our top 3 favorite rides! Celestial Park in Epic Universe We have gotten to step through the portals and experience every part of what this new theme park offers to guests. Let’s start off by saying these attractions are unique and fun. The level of technology you’ll find here is impressive, and we can’t wait for this park to fully open soon. Whether you are planning a trip to Epic yourself or you’re interested in learning more about the rides here, we’re breaking down our top favorite rides. 1. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, you’ll find the Battle at the Ministry attraction. The queue for this line itself is huge, and Universal did not miss the mark on the details in it. Plus, you get to travel by Floo powder! You begin inside the Ministry of Magic, where Dolorus Umbridge is on trial for her crimes. This is an original story that you won’t find in the books or films of Harry Potter. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry You ride in an elevator to the trial, where you’ll go on an adventure with Harry, Hermione, Ron, and a house-elf named Higgledy. Without giving spoilers away, this ride is full of animatronics that are VERY lifelike. You’ll see some familiar faces and nods to the Harry Potter books throughout the ride, making it so fun for fans. The ride really blows us away, and we think it’ll be a favorite amongst visitors. Seats on Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry During previews, this ride is using a Virtual Queue system that has been notoriously hard to grab. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry has a minimum height requirement of 40″ or 102 cm. We also spotted signage for a Single Rider Line at this attraction. Read Spoilers from Our Ride on the Battle at the Ministry Here! 2. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment Now, we’re heading over to Dark Universe, where our second favorite attraction lives. This attraction follows Victoria Frankenstein as she sets out to continue the work of her ancestors by controlling all of the monsters. Again, the queue alone for this ride is impressive. There are animatronics in the queue that look so realistic that it will have you excited for what is to come on the ride. Ygor’s demonstration! The number of animatronics throughout the ride blew us away, as well as their design. We had a few jaw-dropping moments throughout the attraction. It’s also not scary like you might think compared to Halloween Horror Nights, but we did get motion sick from it — it was worth it, though. We would argue it’s as scary as Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom. The preshow! The ride vehicle is similar in style to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It was a very fun ride, and if you enjoy the classic monsters, you’ll appreciate this one. Read Spoilers from Monsters Unchained Here! 3. Stardust Racers Stardust Racers is, in our opinion, one of the greatest roller coasters. It is fast, and there are several launches throughout the ride. One of our favorite things about this coaster is racing against the other train and seeing them beside you throughout the ride. One of our reporters, who is not a fan of the way roller coasters make her feel, loved it and said that she did not feel sick with this one. Stardust Racers We hope these help you on your trip to Epic Universe. For more on the latest news from Epic Universe, follow DFB!
