Disney4me
Mother’s Day is almost here, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating the joy and beauty of nature around the park. Take a break from the internet and come with us to look at cute baby animals! Animal Kingdom Animal Kingdom has welcomed some new baby animals recently, and if you haven’t seen them yet, trust us when we say they’re adorable. With so many newcomers in the park, the baby animals had to celebrate their mothers as well! So, who are these new baby animals who now call Animal Kingdom their home? Well, there’s Tucker, an endangered Masai giraffe calf, who debuted in the savanna last month. There are also the three Asian small-clawed otter pups, who you’ll find at Otter Grotto (and might be the cutest thing you’ve ever seen). Then, there’s Bakso, the adorable and playful baby tiger. Bakso is somewhat famous around here — people LOVE this little tiger. Say hello to Tucker! One of Animal Kingdom’s most adored mothers is Sohni, the Sumatran tiger, and mother to Bakso. Being a mom is no new task for her, as this is her second time. Her cub, Bakso, has entertained guests for a few months now, and we never can get enough of him. As far as being a mom goes, Sohni is the best, as she’s been teaching Bakso how to be an independent tiger! You’ll find them playing together at the Maharajah Jungle Trek! By the way, this trek might be easy to miss (it’s not an official attraction like Kilimanjaro Safaris), but it is SO worth visiting. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and there are some amazing animals along the trail! Bakso and his mom Sohni loves to take care of her little one. You’ll often see her grooming Bakso, making sure he stays clean (especially if you stick around for a while to observe them on the Maharajah Jungle Trek). Cast Members celebrated Mother’s Day for Sohni with a special surprise! View this post on Instagram Then there’s Mara, the Masai giraffe mother of Tucker. She’s also not a new mother; Tucker is the third baby she’s cared for. You can find Mara and Tucker out in the savanna, on Kilimanjaro Safaris. It’s one of our favorite attractions at Disney World! Tucker is the cutest! Tucker is said to be a very fast learner, and maybe it’s thanks to his mother. He loves to stick close to his mom. Disney revealed that Mara has been guiding Tucker around the savanna with sweet, gentle nudges, teaching him the giraffe language and how to get around! How CUTE is that?! ©Disney Disney was also delighted to share a Mother’s Day surprise! It was just announced that Juniper, an endangered addax, welcomed an adorable calf named Ginny last month. She has been nursing her newborn over at the Animal Kingdom Lodge! ©Disney That’s not all, though, as Violet also welcomed her newborn calf, Henry! These new additions to the addax family are huge, as the addax is listed as a critically endangered species, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Violet and Henry can be found wandering the Uzima Savanna. ©Disney We love adorable mother stories and baby animals! It’s so cute to see the newest additions to Animal Kingdom wander around and play.
