From the Clean Slate series on Amazon to Mythic Quest on Apple TV+ to 8 shows on Netflix, you never know if your favorite series is going to be safe and which show is next to be canceled! ©Apple TV+ Unfortunately, another show has joined the list of canceled shows. We have all the details, including what might be next for the show’s star and producer, Queen Latifah. According to USA Today, CBS has canceled The Equalizer after five seasons. What was supposed to be the season 5 finale, which aired on May 4th, will now be the series finale, as CBS has announced the show will not be renewed for a sixth season. ©CBS The Equalizer stars Queen Latifah as a former CIA operative who uses her skills to help people in need. The show also stars Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, Laya DeLeon Hayes, Lorraine Toussaint, and Chris Noth. CBS has been making many changes to its programming lineup, including canceling S.W.A.T. and Poppa’s House. CBS will announce its lineup for the 2025-2026 season on May 7th, so we are curious to see what shows will be airing. ©CBS According to The Hollywood Reporter, viewership of The Equalizer dropped to a bit under 6 million viewers this season as the show moved to a later time slot. That is compared to the 7.89 million viewers last season. In USA Today’s “Save Our Show” readers’ poll, 47% of voters said they wanted The Equalizer to return for a sixth season. ©CBS However, Queen Latifah has already stated that this isn’t the last you will see of her! She posted on Instagram thanking the cast, crew, producers, writers, and fans of the show. She finished off the post by saying “And don’t worry—I’ll be back kicking in something new real soon.
