Disney4me
There are lots of things to love about the Disney World water parks: it is hard to beat a day relaxing by the water, plunging down water rides, and grabbing unlimited refills in your refillable mug. To know Disney World refillable mugs is to love Disney World refillable mugs. Well, for the most part, we still have some complaints about the mug. But it is wonderful to be able to refill your mug to your heart’s content while relaxing in your beach chair. Typhoon Lagoon We have some bad news if you are a refillable cup fan like us, though. There is now one less location where you can find refillable mugs. The good news is that the mugs are still available at the Disney World hotels, but you currently CAN’T get them at the Disney World water parks. Typhoon Lagoon has officially reopened in Disney World! It reopened on May 1st, as Blizzard Beach closed for a short refurbishment. However, BOTH water parks will be open at the same time beginning May 21st. We are checking out the newly reopened Typhoon Lagoon and came across some not-so-great news. Water Parks Refillable Mug The classic refillable mugs we have grown to know and love are currently unavailable at Typhoon Lagoon. We loved grabbing one of these mugs and enjoying refills all day long! Beyond the Disney World hotels, the water parks were the only location where the refillable mugs were available. However, it seems that mugs will only be available at the hotels, at least for now. Disney World Hotel Refillable Mugs The refillable mugs could be purchased at the water parks, and you can refill them for free throughout the day. It was a great way to stay hydrated and not spend tons of money. Refillable mugs are also available at Disney World hotels and can be purchased for the length of your stay, or you can get them included in a Disney Dining Plan. Resort Refillable Mug We also noticed some soda machines closed off near Happy Landings, and when we spoke with a Cast Member, they said that there had been an issue with bees before, and that was likely why the machines were closed off. Another Cast Member also agreed with the bees but also thought there was more to the soda machines being taken away. Closed soda machines We do have some good news, though. While the classic refillable mugs aren’t currently available, we did spot a Miss Tilly Sipper Cup that you can grab, which includes refills at Typhoon Lagoon quick-service locations for the entire day, according to Mobile Order in the Disney World app. It costs $22.49. It is not as easy to carry around as the refillable mugs, but it could be an option if you were looking forward to refills. Miss Tilly Sipper Cup When we spoke with a Cast Member, they weren’t sure if Blizzard Beach would also follow suit with getting rid of the refillable mugs, but it was definitely a possibility. There are also no guarantees that this is a permanent change, and refillable mugs could return in the future. However, for now, if you are hoping to grab a classic refillable mug, you will need to get it from your Disney World hotel.
