Disney is celebrating the 30th anniversary of A Goofy Movie, and if they’re trying to make us feel old, it’s working. ©Disney Still, we’re down for any excuse to talk about this underrated hit, and between the new Powerline Max popcorn bucket and the merch collection that was just released, it’s been the talk of the town. Apparently, Disney isn’t done celebrating this movie yet because they just debuted a NEW Powerline virtual reality experience! To celebrate the 30th anniversary of A Goofy Movie, Disney has released an all-new virtual reality version of the iconic concert scene from the film. Featuring the hit song, “I2I” from Powerline, Disney utilized “innovative digital technology combined with the timeless artistry of classic animation” to bring this concert to (animated) life. ©Disney This VR concert gives fans the chance to experience the thrill of a Powerline performance like never before — as if you were on stage in front of the sold-out audience. Disney collaborated with Brooklyn-based animation Studio Cartuna to bring this VR experience to life. The video shows the iconic scene from the movie where Goofy and Max find themselves backstage at a Powerline concert, but instead of watching Goofy and Max like you would in the movie, you’ll get to watch the “I2I” performance in its entirety. ©Disney Exclusive features of the video include: Immersive VR Experience: Explore the Powerline “I2I” performance in its entirety from a never-before-seen panoramic perspective.
