Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebrations are beginning, and while we’re so thrilled to experience every single part of it, there’s one in particular we’ve been really looking forward to. “it’s a small world” in Disneyland Originally, “it’s a small world” in the park was set to reopen on April 25th with these new changes, but it was pushed back to today, May 9th, but now it’s finally here — some of our favorite Coco characters are now part of the attraction! We’re heading into the park later today to ride the famous attraction for the first time in months! Before we head over to the parks, Disney gave us a sneak peek at the newest character on the ride. “it’s a small world” in Disneyland Miguel and Dante from Pixar’s Coco have now been added to the attraction in the Mexico section! How cute are they?! We can already hear the song “Remember Me” playing now. Ignore us if we shed a few tears. ©Disney The adorable Pixar character and his alebrije are the latest addition to this famous ride! Disneyland started adding Disney and Pixar characters to the attraction back in 2009 (to lots of controversy among fans). “it’s a small world” This adorable new addition is now available to fans as part of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebrations. The park will also be seeing a new cavalcade, the return of a popular nighttime show, the Paint the Night Parade is back, and more, thanks to the festivities. Disneyland is ready for its 70th! We can’t wait to hop on the ride ourselves later this evening! Looking for more recent Disneyland news? Check out our posts below! The idea of wearing your favorite costume and running into Magic Kingdom to collect all the candy your heart desires is so tempting, but before you buy that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, read this! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Every year, we go to the Halloween party so we can learn the best tips and tricks and bring them back to you. Here is everything you should know before buying that ticket. This year, the parties run on select nights from August 15th to October 31st. Here are six bits of knowledge you should learn before heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. 1. Your Party Ticket Gets You into Magic Kingdom Starting at 4 PM It’s Maleficent! Why is this a big deal? Because the party doesn’t start till 7 PM. That means you can enjoy three extra hours of normal theme park time before the specialty snacks, rare characters, and entertainment start. Grab a snack! You can hop on a few rides, eat dinner at a table service restaurant (which we highly recommend since you’ll get A LOT of candy), and truly whatever your heart desires. This is also a great time to take pictures in your costume before it gets too dark. 2. You Need to Be Smart About What Costume You Wear The Headless Horeseman We know, we know. You really want to wear that incredible costume you’ve spent months on, meet the coolest characters in it, take epic photos, and everything will be magical! Yes, all of that can still happen, but Magic Kingdom is still in Florida, and Florida doesn’t know what fall is. Orlando in August Even in October (and especially in August when the party starts), Orlando is hot and humid, and costumes with wigs and thick jackets might be too hot. You can always take pictures in your costume and then switch to a short-sleeved version after. For those shoes? We know those boots are perfect for your costume, but you’ll still be walking around a theme park for hours, so maybe stick to the sneakers. 3. Weather Happens and it Can Affect Your Party Rain at a Halloween Party With the heat comes the rain, and August to October is right in the middle of hurricane season. If there’s rain at your party, it’s very likely that the party will continue! There might be changes to entertainment like the parade and fireworks, but if Disney can put on the party safely, they will. Boo To YOU! If it’s raining too much for you, but Disney still throws the party, even if the outdoor shows are cancelled, it can be very difficult to get a refund. When the parties are cancelled, like some were for a hurricane last year, you might be given a full refund or a ticket to come back another day. It depends on what Disney decides to do and how they want to manage it. 4. You Can Still Ride Attractions During the Party Mad Tea Party During the party, a lot of attractions are open, like TRON, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Jungle Cruise, so you can get a few extra rides at your favorite attraction. While the parties are limited to a certain number of tickets, be aware that for the popular rides, there still might be a long line that could cause you to miss the parade you’ve been wanting to see. Special Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Some rides even get a little Halloween twist, like Space Mountain, where all the lights are turned off, Mad Tea Party with special lighting effects, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, which showcases Halloween jokes. 5. Some Rides and Restaurants Won’t Be Open During the Party Treat stop While rides are open, it won’t be every ride. Some rides will close when the party starts, and the same goes for restaurants. Some restaurants and snack carts will have special treats for the parties, but some restaurants like Columbia Harbour House are turned into treat locations, so instead of dining, you’ll grab your candy and head out. If there’s a restaurant or ride you want to do, make it a priority by going right when you enter at 4 PM. Poison Apple Churros Sometimes there’s an odd hour between when the park is closed for normal guests but the party hasn’t started yet, and you might especially struggle to find food during this time when the restaurants are changing menus and foods. We highly recommend eating beforehand so you aren’t stuck for an hour with food! 6. Character Lines are Known to Close Early It’s Halloween! You can meet some of the coolest characters at the Halloween party! Jack and Sally, in their new looks, and Mickey and the gang, in their Halloween costumes, will be at the parties this year, but did you know that their lines close early? It’s unlikely you’ll be able to enter the line to meet Mickey at midnight, and because of the popularity of Jack and Sally, they usually close the line early to make sure they can get through the entire queue of people. Jack and Sally If you want to meet characters, make sure you head there earlier in the party, and be aware that those lines can get long! All in all, we love going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary every year, and we can’t wait to bring you full coverage for the 2025 season. It feels like we’ve been talking about it for months (well, because we have been), but two new shows are opening in Hollywood Studios on May 27th. ©Disney The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After both debut on May 27th, and while we can’t go inside just yet, we can see new changes made to the outside of one theater. As you enter Animation Courtyard, look to the left and you’ll see The Little Mermaid theater! Before it was a musical adventure and was the Voyage of The Little Mermaid, there was a huge sign with Ariel and King Triton. Voyage of the Little Mermaid back in the day This sign has been gone for a while, but now we can see new queue signs! New signs! The standby queue with the next showing listed and the Lightning Lane entrance has been added. So exciting! Shows will run throughout the day between 9:15 AM and 7:15 PM, and we’re so glad to see more entertainment offerings available later in the evening. Shows like Beauty and the Beast—Live on Stage and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular usually end around 4:30 and 5:00, so having an evening show is incredible. ©GMA Fan-favorite songs like “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” and “Kiss the Girl” will be in the show, with even more songs! We’re ready to grab our mermaid tails and get “Under the Sea” stuck in our heads all day and in the meantime, make sure you’re following Disney Food Blog for all the latest Disney news. 4 MAJOR CHANGES COMING TO DISNEY WORLD THIS SUMMER Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! June is less than a month away, and that means many things in Disney World. Magic Kingdom It means summer crowds, LOTS of heat and humidity, and potentially some more frequent rain showers and storms during your park day. You’ll want to make sure you’re fully prepared for your trip, and we’ve got the essentials you’ll need for June right here! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Keep Yourself Dry! Frogg Toggs Poncho Staying dry is of utmost importance sometimes in Disney World if you know you have issues when your clothes or shoes get wet, and that’s where a FROGG TOGGS Poncho comes in! This is our favorite brand we’ve used in the parks and bring it time and time again. You won’t regret grabbing one! Grab it right here! Beat The Heat JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan If you’re looking for a simple way to help beat the heat while you’re in the parks, the JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan is powerful, compact, and great for any park day. Prefer Hands-Free? JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan Now if you prefer for the cool air to go directly on your neck, which is where some of your pulse points are, so it helps to cool you down faster, you’ll want the JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan. This thing is also pretty powerful, but if you’ve got long hair, be careful to not get it caught when you’re taking it on and off! Grab it right here! The Ultimate Way to Cool Down Sukeen 4 Pack Cooling Towel One of our favorite ways to keep cool in the parks is the Sukeen 4 Pack Cooling Towels! Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and Walt Disney World are providing schools in Central Florida with the resources they need to launch sustainable theater programs through the nationwide Disney Musicals in Schools program. Schools in the program receive free scripts, performance materials and coaching to help them put on their first show. “Here at Disney, we believe in the power of storytelling,” said Tajiana Ancora-Brown, Director of External Affairs at Disney World. “Introducing arts education programs like this into elementary schools opens doors to new worlds and sparks creativity in future generations of storytellers right here in Central Florida.” Dr. Phillips Center leads the program, with financial support from Disney World. For more than a decade, the team has seen the impact Disney Musicals in Schools has made in Central Florida. “By bringing theater to elementary schools, we’re reaching beyond our walls and giving young students a chance to explore creativity, build confidence and find their voice early on,” said Ryan Simpson, education director at Dr. Phillips Center. “It’s the kind of experience that can truly shape a lifetime and reflects our vision of Arts for Every Life®.” Disney World saw an opportunity to support Central Florida elementary school theater programs even further. We invited teachers in the Disney Musicals in Schools program to our “Costuming Vault” to select fabrics and materials for their costumes and set pieces. This school year alone, Disney donated more than 6,000 pounds of materials to Disney Musicals in Schools participants! Lake Gem Elementary in Pine Hills is a first-year participant in the program. Students performed Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS at their school, then later on the Steinmetz Hall stage at Dr. Phillips Center in costumes made from materials donated by Disney World. “Having access to Disney’s costumes is huge for our schools because most of the time, they have zero budget,” said Kelly Sardinas, a teaching artist who helped coach Lake Gem students and teachers through their first production. “It gives them professional-level standards that they wouldn’t have been able to have otherwise.” These donations not only help teachers and students in our area, they also help our environment. Excess fabric gets a new life right here in our community, keeping it out of landfills. The fabric and costume donations are unique to Disney Musicals In Schools participants in Central Florida, made possible by the proximity of Disney World to our community. “It’s inspiring to see Disney Musicals in Schools flourish in Orlando, where the creativity of local students and educators meets the support and enhancement only the Walt Disney World team could provide,” said Lisa Mitchell, Director of Education and Audience Engagement for Disney Theatrical Group, which runs the nationwide program. “With the expert guidance of the Dr. Phillips Center education staff, this collaboration is a shining example of a community coming together to enrich the lives of children through the power of the arts.” Disney Musicals in Schools and fabric donations are just two ways Disney World gives back to arts education in Florida throughout the year. We’re always looking to create happiness, cultivate creativity and support the next generation of storytellers in our community. If any of you have ever renovated your bathroom, it’s likely you know what that can cost. MCO Airport However, can you imagine spending MILLIONS of dollars to renovate and install hundreds of bathroom stalls? We couldn’t either, until we found out that the Orlando International Airport (MCO) has just begun its $72 million bathroom project that is expected to last until 2027. According to the Orlando Business Journal, this is part of the airport’s multi-billion dollar renovation of Terminals A and B. In this first segment, Balfour Beatty Construction will renovate the four airsides (the areas of the airport beyond security) in these terminals for $71.9 million. Orlando International Airport There are currently 61 bathrooms that will all be renovated AND the airport will add 12 more. This work will include upgrading companion restrooms as well as service dog relief areas, and this project is expected to be completed in 2027. However, the multi-billion dollar projects on Terminals A and B as a whole are expected to all be completed between 2027 and 2028. Orlando International Airport A large part of this renovation is due to the amount of passengers Orlando sees every year — in 2024, Orlando was the most visited destination in the world with 75.3 million visitors. With that amount of traffic, Orlando Airport officials felt the current bathrooms in these terminals did not fit the needs this volume of passengers and visitors require. Did you know your Disney Cruise catches on fire all the time? Yes, you read that right. Disney Wish If you’ve ever heard an announcement that a fire in happening onboard, it’s actually something that happens all the time that the crew members are used to! We know the idea of your ship floating in the middle of the ocean catching on fire is not a relaxing thought and that might cause some anxiety and panic but this is a common occurrence that happens on all cruise ships. Disney Destiny Most fires happen in the incinerator room, which, the more you think about it, makes total sense! Many cruise ships put items like dry trash in the incinerator onboard to limit waste on board, and yes, they know all about the environmental impacts and comply with the Marine Pollution Prevention, MARPOL. Studies have shown that Disney Cruise Line is one of the most environmentally responsible cruise lines! Onboard the Disney Dream Because items are being thrown in the incinerator, pieces are known to catch fire. Since this is a common occurrence, the crew members know all about it, and it’s likely that by the time you hear about it, it’s already put out. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea to listen to more announcements and be aware of crew member protocols. Disney Cruise Line Now that you know that there might be a possible fire on your cruise (which is totally going to be your kid’s favorite fun fact), you can go back to relaxing and taking a dip in the pool. Disney Treasure Disney Cruise Line is working on bringing a lot of new ships to sea! Later this year, the Disney Destiny, the heroes and villains themed cruise will sail out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Disney Treasure The Disney Adventure will also be debuting in Singapore at the end of the year, and if you want to obsess over every detail of a cruise, we highly recommend reading all about this ship. You’ll be amazed by the new shows, a beautiful Imagination Garden, and new attractions onboard the decks. If you’re going on a Disney Cruise soon, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for all the details you need to know for your trip. 3 THINGS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE LEAVING A DISNEY CRUISE Are you going on a Disney Cruise soon? Disneyland is “The Happiest Place on Earth”…for most people. Disneyland For some, the Disneyland experience can turn ugly if they let it. While the Resort offers plenty of world-class attractions, delicious eats, exciting entertainment, and a ridiculous amount of nostalgia, it’s likely you’ll run into adversity a few times during your visit. Long lines, unforeseen closures and cancellations, and bad behavior from other guests can put a damper on the positive vibes real fast. We’ve been visiting the Disneyland Resort for decades, and over the years, we’ve kinda seen everything when it comes to guest behavior. From understandable agitation to literal anarchic chaos, there are tons of Disneyland horror stories that make for great lessons. Line Cutting One of the most common forms of “bad behavior” we experience on many of our visits to Disneyland comes in the form of line-cutting. Haunted Mansion in Disneyland! We’re not talking small children wandering just a bit too far and all of a sudden the toddler behind you is in front of you. Kids will be kids and getting a little excited is not indicative of bad behavior. Instead, we’re referencing adults that either lose focus of their place in line or intentionally try to move up and hope they can do it without confrontation. Long souvenir line! On more than one occasion, we’ve noticed adults breathing down our necks. Then all of a sudden,n they’re standing next to you. Then you blink and somehow they’re in front of you in line. We understand that this can happen unintentionally, as it’s easy to get lost in your own world when you’re standing in a long line. All we ask is that you respect others’ personal space as well as the general queue rules. Folks Touching Things They Aren’t Supposed To The Disney Parks have become more and more interactive over the years. And no, this doesn’t apply to things like the “Do Not Pull Rope!” sign in the Indiana Jones Adventure queue (you should ABSOLUTELY pull that rope for a hilarious easter egg). Instead, we’re referencing the times when kids and adults alike have crossed barriers to grab something or stuck their hands out of ride vehicles. Indiana Jones Adventure ride in Disneyland We’ve seen kids and adults jump over ropes to take pictures next to props or put their hands where they don’t belong, like in the Pirates of the Caribbean water or on set pieces in the Fantasyland dark rides. We’ve even seen people get BANNED from Disneyland for doing such things. Pirates of the Caribbean Auction Scene ©Disney We want to use these stories as a reminder that Disneyland has “no touching” rules for safety reasons (there is dangerous tech below the waters on Pirates of the Caribbean, for example), so you should absolutely follow all the rules for the smoothest and most pleasant experience possible. And don’t worry! There are plenty of interactive opportunities all over the Disneyland Resort if you feel the need to get hands-on! PDA Taken Too Far Visiting Disneyland can be very romantic when you do it with a partner. In fact, we recommend having a date night there at least once! With that in mind, there is such a thing as too much PDA…and we’re not talking about kisses and holding hands. Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion We’ve seen some folks (mostly teens) get a little too comfortable on dark rides, thinking that no one is watching them. Remember, someone is always watching you: Disney Cast Members, on-ride cameras, other guests, and your conscience, Jiminy Cricket, are always watching. So if you think you’re going to get away with some hanky panky, forget about it. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride Most importantly, the Disneyland Resort is a public space that caters to CHILDREN. Taking PDA too far here is SUPER ILLEGAL and will get you in a lot more trouble than just a Disney ban… People Getting Naked At Disneyland If we had a quarter for every time someone broke the internet by getting naked and disrupting life at Disneyland over the last few years, we’d have two quarters. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s wild that it’s happened TWICE. “it’s a small world” in Disneyland In 2023, a 26-year-old man was arrested after stripping down and wandering through “it’s a small world”. Something similar happened in April 2025 when a 38-year-old man was arrested after also exposing himself in New Orleans Square and climbing Tiana’s Palace. Tiana’s Palace in Disneyland These incidents are reminders that the Disneyland walls don’t always keep out all of the real problems people face every day. Physical and Verbal Altercations We’re not going to sugarcoat it…sometimes visiting the Disney Parks can be stressful. Long lines, heavy foot traffic, tired and agitated children, and other inconveniences are inevitable, so it’s understandable that people get frustrated and may lash out. Disneyland can get busy What’s not okay is allowing your frustration to manifest into abuse. We’ve seen guests get into altercations with Cast Members and each other. And while folks out here may have that “California, laid-back, tie-dyed” reputation, it’s not uncommon to see people get testy when the straw finally breaks the camel’s back. Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland It’s important to remove yourself from toxic situations, take a second to collect yourself, enjoy what you can, and willingly let things go that ultimately don’t matter. Remember, you’re visiting Disneyland for a good time, not for a fight. Another important note is that when conflict arises with Disney Cast Members, treating them with respect and understanding will ALWAYS yield better results. ESPN Wide World of Sports According to Disney, the goal of this app is to make ESPN available “however and wherever the consumer wants it.” They’ve mentioned the high level of customization and personalization that will be available in the app. Disney hasn’t released an exact date but has said it will come out in fall 2025. Disney’s newest live-action movie is almost here! Stitch! The live-action Lilo and Stitch is headed to theaters on May 23rd, 2025, and we are pretty excited! While we’re looking forward to the new movie, not everyone is, and it’s already received a share of criticism online. The movie’s director has now personally responded to some of the online chatter. Both Pleakley and another character, Jumba, are aliens who are searching for Stitch after her crash-lands on Earth in the movie. Throughout the film and TV show, these characters both use a mix of human clothes, wigs, and more to disguise themselves from the human world. ©Disney Disney has released new images of the film, seemingly in response to the online discussion. It’s given us a clearer look at the two aliens before they take on their human disguises in the film. From @ScottGustin on Twitter Although there has been a negative online conversation surrounding this change, there has also been a more positive response than previous live-action films. According to Deadline, this was Disney’s second-most-watched live-action trailer with 158 million views in the first 24 hours. ©Disney Deadline also shared that the movie “also posted the best first-day ticket presales for a PG title year to date, tracking to make $120 million over the four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend.” While the controversy still remains, this does indicate that the movie could be a commercial success, unlike previous live-action remakes. ©Disney We are eager to see the film when it releases on May 23rd, 2025. If you’re anything like us, you probably have about five water bottles already—but somehow, there’s always room for one more. Owala Water Bottle Staying hydrated at Disney World is no joke, and the Florida heat doesn’t mess around. So when we saw that Owala just dropped a new Marvel-themed collection on Amazon, we knew we had to share. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. 24 oz Marvel FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle – Captain America ©Amazon This 24-ounce insulated bottle features the star-spangled Avenger himself, and it’s giving major super-soldier energy. Like all of Owala’s FreeSip bottles, it’s got their patented spout that lets you sip through a built-in straw or tilt it back for a quick swig. And with a locking push-button lid, your water stays clean and spill-free while you’re racing from rope drop to fireworks. Plus, the double-wall stainless steel keeps your drinks cold for up to 24 hours. It fits in a cup holder, it’s easy to clean, and it even has a carry loop that doubles as a lid lock. Basically, it’s made for long park days. View on Amazon 24 oz Marvel FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle – Spiderman ©Amazon Swinging through the parks? You’re going to need hydration backup, and this Spiderman-themed FreeSip bottle is ready for action. It’s got all the same features—24 ounces of cold-holding power, the dual-sip spout, and that leak-resistant lid that opens with the push of a button. We love the bold Spidey design on this one. It’s playful without being too flashy, and the colors really pop. Also, if you’re a Spiderman fan, it’s an easy yes. View on Amazon 24 oz Marvel FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle – Hulk ©Amazon Okay, this one’s for those of you who mean serious hydration business. If you’re an impulse shopper, then you need to AVOID EPCOT. EPCOT With a variety of different gift shops spread throughout the pavilions and several themed stores in the World Showcase, there are quite literally hundreds of souvenirs to discover in this park. And if you’re not careful, you might find yourself regretting your purchases! Starting out at House of Good Fortune in the China Pavilion, we’ve got to mention the dog kimonos that were sold here several years ago. Yes, they were seriously adorable and we all wanted to buy them for our pets…but for what purpose?! When would your dog actually wear this? This was definitely one of those impulse buys for people that landed in the box of forgotten souvenirs. Dog Kimono Over in the Japan Pavilion, Mitsukoshi Department Store is home to a wide variety of bizarre and quirky souvenirs, but the one we definitely didn’t need? Character onesies. But they’re not Disney characters — they’re themed to various Japanese characters like Pokemon. These are those types of souvenirs that are so silly that you almost want to buy them just to say you did. But when would you wear this? Seriously, it looks like it would roast you alive while you’re sleeping. Trust us — save that apparel budget for a Disney tee instead. Pokémon Onesie Costume Inside Mission Space Cargo Bay, you’ll find a mix of Star Wars and NASA-themed merchandise, including freeze-dried astronaut food. This is definitely one of those items that catch the attention of kids, and you might find yourself giving in to buy it. But we suggest you skip the freeze-dried ice cream in EPCOT — this IS the park known for its delicious snacks, after all. Instead, just order some astronaut eats from Amazon after your trip. Astronaut Ice Cream! Both in Creations Shop and Treasures of Xandar, you can find the iconic Marvel infinity gauntlets. These are super cool souvenirs, and you can even collect all the infinity stones to go in them, but there’s a big problem — they’re HUGE. These things are seriously bulky, and they get quite cumbersome to carry around or to try and fit in your suitcase to go home. Nobody wants to wear a plastic glove all day in a theme park. Infinity Gauntlets In various places around EPCOT, we’ve spotted this Spaceship Earth cookie jar. If you’re a die-hard EPCOT fan, this is sincerely tempting to take home. But like the gauntlet, it’s a pretty bulky souvenir that can be difficult to lug around or fit in your suitcase. And even when you get home, how often will you actually have it filled with cookies? Be honest. Spaceship Earth Cookie Jar One thing that EPCOT has in spades? Figment merchandise. He gets his own festival collections AND his own gift shop. It can be super tempting to buy a bunch of Figment paraphernalia, but the problem is — it only works in EPCOT. That’s the only park the character has a presence in, and out in the real world, people who aren’t Disney fans have no idea who he is. If that doesn’t bother you at all though, go ahead! ImageWorks gift shop And last but not least, you’re probably going to regret dropping a cool $79K on that crystal model of Spaceship Earth. You can find this unique souvenir inside Kunstarbeit in Kristal in the Germany Pavilion. It may seem like a fun idea at the time, but when you buy a souvenir that costs more than most cars, your bank account is probably going to scream at you. A WHOPPING price tag Want to know what you SHOULD buy during your EPCOT trip? We love fun snacks from the World Showcase Pavilions, items themed to your favorite characters, or classics like Disney tees and Minnie ears. All of those items are available throughout the park. We love Disney merchandise! And if you can’t decide if you really want to buy something — walk away. If you still want it later, you can return. And if it’s still there, it’s meant to be! Taking a voyage on the Disney Cruise Line is one of the most fun experiences this Disney adult has ever had, but there are some things I wish I’d known before disembarking! ©Disney Whether it’s tops for dining, shopping, or even planning for a future cruise, knowing these tips will definitely be beneficial before you finish your next Disney Cruise. When to Book Dining Each night of your Disney Cruise, you’ll be assigned one of the three rotational dining options that are included in your cruise package. If you’d like to one of the ship’s other restaurants like Palo, you’ll need to make a reservation. However, make sure you make said reservation for a “repeat” rotational dining night (you’ll have at least one if you’re on a Disney Cruise of at least 4 nights) so that way you won’t miss any of the rotational dining experiences. Palo Steakhouse on Disney Treasure Bad News for Late Souvenir Shoppers A heads up if you’re a late shopper who was planning to pick up some gifts – – or souvenirs for yourself – – on the final morning of you’re trip, you are out of luck. The ship’s stores will be CLOSED on the final morning. This is due to several factors, including maritime rules for ships in port, as well as the need to prep the ship for the next voyage. So, if you’ve put your shopping off until close to the end of the trip, make sure to do it the night before! Disney Wish merchandise Early Savings! If you’re loving your Disney Cruise so much that you can’t wait to boom another, you can SAVE by booking your next Disney trip while still on board! While on your Disney Cruise, you can “unlock special savings during your voyage by booking an open-ended Placeholder Reservation for a future cruise sailing within the next 24 months.” The special offer, which can be found within the DCL-exclusive Navigator app offers a 10% discount off prevailing rates as quoted on DisneyCruise.com, and reduced deposit on 7-night or longer sailings.” Inspired by the ship’s “heroes and villains” theme, the playful artwork of the Super Character Collection imagines Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto as a daring crew of “hydro heroes,” each with their own unique super powers. Featuring vibrant, colorful graphic designs reminiscent of comic book drawings, the collection will include everything from apparel and accessories to plush, pins and drinkware.
