When you start planning a Disney trip, whether that be for Disney World or Disneyland, you probably are looking EVERYWHERE you can for a good discount. Sleeping Beauty Castle for the 70th Anniversary Celebration For members of warehouse clubs like Costco, though, those discounts can be pretty easy to find if you book your vacation through those stores. Well, if you’re planning a trip to Disneyland right now, you might just discover that you can no longer get a Disneyland offer through Costco. Yep, that offer is GONE. If you visit the Costco Travel website and look for the page where you can usually book a Disneyland trip through the site, you’ll see the following message: “Costco Travel is not accepting new reservations to the Disneyland Resort.” Yep, you can’t book any Disneyland reservations through Costco Travel right now. ©Costco However, if you’re booking other Disney vacations, like Disney World, Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii, or Disney Cruise Line, you can still book vacations through the site if you’re a Costco member. So this only seems to apply to Disneyland for now. California Adventure We’re not sure why Costco is no longer offering Disneyland vacations, but we checked some other membership programs and noticed that Disneyland discounts are still available. That includes both AARP and AAA, so you can, at least, save some $$$ on Disneyland tickets through those sites. Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? Reach out to our friends at Small World Vacations! Their experienced agents monitor your reservation for possible future savings, compare discounts and figure out which one works best for your travel party, dates, resort, and touring plans. Well, it’s that time of the year again… ©NBC Yep, it’s spring, which means most of us are loading up on allergy medication and holding our breaths to see if our favorite TV shows will make the cut for the fall season. This is when we start learning about a TON of TV show cancelations, including streaming cancelations, and well, we just learned that NBC has given THREE of its shows the axe. First up, Variety reports that the series Found, has been canceled after two seasons. The series, which debuted in 2023, stars Shanola Hampton, as well as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta and Karan Oberoi. The series follows Gabi Mosely (Hampton) who was once a victim of kidnapping and, in turn, kidnapped the man who had snatched her. Now he’s on the loose. ©NBC However, all might not be lost for Found (see what we did there?). It’s producer, WBTV, has plans to shop it around to other outlets. So keep an eye out because season 3 of Found might just be, well, FOUND. NBC didn’t stop there, though. Variety also reports that Night Court has been canceled after three seasons. The show was a follow-up to the popular 1980s series Night Court, which ran for nine seasons. The series starred Melissa Rauch and included original cast member John Laroquette, along with Wendie Malick, Lacretta, and Nyambi Nyambi. ©NBC Rauch starred on the series as the daughter of the late Judge Harry Stone as she takes on the challenging duty of judging the night shift at a Manhattan courtroom. WBTV also has plans to shop this series to other outlets. Its season one ratings were strong, but began to decline with season two. Finally, Suits LA has been canceled by NBC after just one season, according to Variety. The show was a spin-off of the highly popular Suits, but the spin-off suffered from bad reviews and poor ratings. The show followed Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal New York prosecutor looking to reinvent himself in Los Angeles. ©NBC Stay tuned to DFB for more. Figuring out what to eat on your Disney World vacation can be overwhelming, to say the least. Don’t worry — that’s why we’re here! We try all the restaurants and snacks so you have the best trip possible. Animal Kingdom Lodge We headed to Jiko — The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Come with us for a full review to see if you should add this to your next Disney World trip. Atmosphere While we love the convenience of heading to this restaurant when staying at the resort, everyone coming to Disney World is welcome here. Jiko is what Disney calls “signature dining,” which really means fine dining. Jiko We find ourselves heading here for special occasions, incredible date nights, or when we just want to treat ourselves. Reservations are recommended, but depending on the day, they might have some walk-up availability. Inside They serve dinner from 5 PM to 9:30 PM, and heading here after a long day in the parks is a great way to relax and unwind. Disney describes Jiko as “vibrant spices, crackling wood-burning ovens, and boutique South African wines transport you to the heart of Africa.” Grab a seat That puts us in the mood for dinner, so let’s see what’s on the menu! Menu From appetizers, entrees, and desserts, Jiko is going to take you on a journey of African flavors with gorgeous presentation. While African flavors might be unfamiliar to some, when you read over the menu, you’ll likely find that you know most of the words, and the servers are usually very knowledgeable about the dishes. Make sure to look up! In addition to the food, Jiko also serves specialty loose-leaf teas, which are fun add-ons to your meal, as well as a large pot of Kenyan Press Pot Coffee. A kid’s menu includes items like Grilled Chicken Breast, shrimp, steak, Macaroni & Cheese, and more. After finishing your meal, you can also order after-dinner drinks and dessert wines to finish a spectacular meal. The menu After reading the menu, we’re hungry, so let’s eat! Eats We started with the Braai’d Wild Boar Tenderloin for $19 for our appetizer. Braaid Wild Boar Tenderloin This starter is made with creamy pap, tomato chakalaka, and herb-smoked oil. Let’s start off by saying we were scraping off every little bit on the plate, and if no one was looking, we probably would have licked it clean. Delicious! The pap was a great level of creamy and was so buttery. The salt mixed through paired with the butter, and we could have eaten a whole bowl of this. The tenderloin was cooked medium rare and had a warm pink center. They were thinly sliced and had about three or four medallions on the plate. What impressed us the most was how filling this appetizer was! If you were looking for a cheaper or quicker meal, you could order this appetizer with a drink and feel like you still had a filling dinner. We wish we could lick the plate! With our meal, we were also served bread, which was called giraffe bread, and yes, it’s as fun as you would think. Bread Service The top of the bread had a crackling like the pattern on a giraffe and was served with creamy butter and dark sea salt. Not only did we enjoy the combination of the salt, butter, and bread, but the bread service matched the rest of our meal, which we really appreciated. We loved it! Then we had the From the Oak Grill for $62. From the Oak Grill Filet Our first entree was made with your choice of bone marrow-crusted Filet Mignon or Braai New York strip, four cheese macaroni, seasonal vegetables, and topped with a chocolate-red wine demi-glace. We chose the filet and ordered medium rare, and we knew that was the right choice once we saw that gorgeous pink center. Yum! Most of the flavor came from that heavy demi-glace, which took the place of a steak sauce. The bone marrow crust didn’t bring in too much flavor, but added a different texture to the dish and was easy to cut into. It came with the four-cheese mac and cheese that had a toasted parmesan layer on top. While this probably won’t be the world’s best mac and cheese, we loved how it paired with the steak to combat some of the beef’s savory elements. Pink inside For another entree, we had the Moroccan-spiced Lamb Shank for $51. Lamb Shank This dish consisted of preserved lemon potatoes, date chutney, peas, and minted lamb demi-glace. When we put our fork in, the lamb completely fell apart due to how tender it was! The Moroccan spices and oil towards the bottom combined it all. So good! We would have loved a little bit more salt in the lemon potatoes on the bottom, but when we got the potatoes, lamb, and sauce onto our forks, the combination was lovely. If you enjoy the flavor of lamb, especially well-cooked lamb, you have to try this dish. Falls apart! As an enhancement, or additional side, we had the Bobotie Mac & Cheese for $17. Bobotie Mac and Cheese Made with four cheeses, spiced beef, almonds, raisins, Kachumbari, and red wine reduction, this isn’t your typical mac and cheese! There are fresh almonds inside that provide a bit of crunch and chew, and small chunks of ground beef are inside. A big portion! Combining with the African spices and the diced tomatoes, it provides a filling side dish you can share with the table. If you love Boma, another restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can also get the Bobotie Mac & Cheese there! Diving in We couldn’t leave without trying dessert! We had the Malva Pudding for $14. So pretty! The dessert was an amarula-infused Malva cake, caramel-sea salt gelato, Kataifi, Kanu Tuile, and a Cabernet Gelee. Can we talk about this stunning presentation? As if our meal couldn’t get any better, this truly blew our minds. The little bird on top is a shortbread cookie that brings a bit of crunch to the dish, and the Malva cake reminded us of a fig or apricot pudding that is dense and rich. The cake is soaked in South African liquor similar to Baileys, but so much lighter. We will be ordering this dessert again and again because of the incredible flavors all together, and it was a perfect way to round off our meal. Incredible Drinks When looking over the menu, we knew we had to try one of their specialty loose-leaf teas, so we tried the Shanghai Rose for $9.75. Shanghai Rose Tea This tea is made of fragrant red rose petals and the sweet, sultry flavor of seductive lychee in a rose petal black tea. The tea was light but still had a more prominent flavor than other teas around Disney World. The rose is more, well, on the nose, and provides a darker and richer flavor throughout each sip. While we really enjoyed it, we were slightly disappointed with the size compared to the price. We could only get about a cup and a half, which makes it more per person, instead of something you could share for the table. The pot If you’re someone who likes to try different teas when you travel, especially those of different cultures, we highly recommend ordering a cup and seeing if you find your new favorite. Sides Nosh or Not You’ll want to visit Jiko if… You want a nice, sit-down meal with gorgeous presentations and bold flavors You like trying different styles of cuisine You love filling meals in a relaxing setting You might want to skip this restaurant if… You prefer more traditional flavors You want a faster and less expensive meal You don’t want to go through the effort of getting to Animal Kingdom Lodge Our meal! Overall Jiko is a restaurant where we find ourselves time and time again, and we are pleased with our meals every time. This meal had filling and rich flavors that made us go back for another bite every time. It’s a true savory meal, but we loved ending it with our gorgeous dessert that we’ll be thinking about for weeks. Overall, we love Jiko for special occasion meals because we always feel happy after our dinner! We’re going to keep trying all the restaurants around Disney World so we can give you all the details so you can plan the best Disney vacation EVER! There are so many new films coming out this summer that we’re planning to go see in theaters, and with them comes TONS of merchandise. ©IMDb We’re always on the lookout for new popcorn buckets (both in our favorite theme parks AND outside, because they’re not limited to just theme parks!), and we are in AWE of this new one for the new Mission: Impossible film. It’s not like any bucket we’ve ever seen before! The keys are located inside the top of the bucket, and then it’s up to you to put the keys together to actually open the bucket to get to the delicious popcorn. We think it’s so fun, but just imagine trying to do it in the dark at the movie theater if it accidentally closes while you’re watching! Now THAT is mission: impossible! ©IMDb If you’re interested in seeing the film and grabbing the popcorn bucket, we suggest buying a ticket for one of the first days of the theatrical run. We have a feeling these may be so popular that they sell out quickly. They also may not be available at every Regal location, so you may want to call your theater ahead of time if grabbing the bucket is most important to you. ©IMDb Looking for more recent movie news? Well, it’s the end of an era. We’ve started to say our long goodbye to Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Muppets Courtyard The area will be closing to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land, and although we’re excited about the new land, we’re sad to see this Muppets-themed part of the park go. Today, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano in Muppets Courtyard has permanently closed, and it’s already looking a little different. Let’s take a look. Now that Mama Melrose’s has officially closed, we noticed that the windows of the restaurant have been blacked out, which is what usually happens when a store or restaurant closes in Disney World. That’s probably to keep any prying eyes from seeing anything going on inside, although we aren’t yet hearing signs of construction. Permanently closed Here’s a closer look at the windows. Blacked out windows The menu board outside the restaurant has also been covered up, although you can still see “Lunch” and “Dinner” on it. But all menu items are gone. No more menu There aren’t any construction walls up around the restaurant, and these are the only things we can see on the exterior of the restaurant. Now, don’t get us wrong, we haven’t always been kind to Mama Melrose’s (okay, so we called it Disney’s version of Olive Garden one time), but it’s still a sign of the change that’s about to happen to Muppets Courtyard. We also recently spotted a permit for the demolition of a store in the area, Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo will close on June 7th, and the rest of the courtyard will close on June 8th — and the construction walls will be going up. PizzeRizzo Although Monstropolis will be replacing Muppets Courtyard, the Muppets will be returning to Hollywood Studios when they take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster — as of yet, Disney has not yet revealed when that project might begin. We are reminding you that this is the most underrated burger in Disney World, and you need to go here! Steakhouse 71 Burger There are several places at Disney World where you can grab a good burger. You might know that we love the Stack Burger from Steakhouse 71. But we have to talk more about this other burger that is such a close runner for our favorite burger at Disney. The Wayfinder Burger at Wailulu Bar and Grill is very good. It’s so good that it definitely rivals our beloved Steakhouse 71 burger. The Wayfinder Burger is made with two pressed patties, American cheese, onion jam, and Volcano Sauce on a sweet bun, served with your choice of mac salad or sweet potato fries. Wayfinder Burger From the moment we tried this burger, we knew the Stack Burger was in trouble. The beef has that made-from-scratch flavor. The Volcano Sauce adds a slight kick and pairs beautifully with the slightly sweet caramelized onion jam. Several of Disney’s quick services are kind of notorious for their buns being very run-of-the-mill and slightly dry, but this one was soft and sweet. Wailulu Bar & Grill If you’re looking for a burger that has a unique, slightly spicy yet slightly sweet flavor, this might be your burger. Plus, we can not neglect the views that come from this restaurant at Disney World. View from Wailulu Bar and Grill For more Disney food reviews, follow us at DFB! Going by the number of annual guests, Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is the most popular theme park on the planet. Welcome to the Magic Kingdom! However, there are some tidbits about the park that Disney wants to keep at the down-low… and we’re not talking about the underground Utilidor tunnels. Pirates of the Caribbean was Initially Left Out Pirates of the Caribbean is arguably the most well-known Disney attraction of all-time thanks to its billion-dollar movie series. However, back when Walt Disney World was being planned, the ride (which had opened at Disneyland in 1967) wasn’t included in the Magic Kingdom. At the time Disney Imagineers believed that since pirates were a large part of Florida lore, locals wouldn’t find them exciting. Pirates of the Caribbean They were wrong. What Imagineers didn’t count on was the fact that millions in Florida (and up and down the east coast) had spent years watching Walt Disney talk about Pirates of the Caribbean on the Disneyland television series, and they wanted to see the ride for themselves. Upon Disney World’s opening, the #1 guest complaint was “Where are the pirates?!” Pirates of the Caribbean Entrance Acting quickly, Disney announced that an East Coast version of the attraction would be built, which opened in 1973. However, there was a slight issue… Disney World’s Pirates Pales in Comparison The version of Pirates of the Caribbean that built at Disney World is significantly shorter than its Disneyland counterpart, lacking several scenes during the early portion of the ride, as well as lacking some animatronics and other effects. Pirates of the Caribbean In addition, the money that was used to build the Magic Kingdom’s Pirates was taken from the proposed budget for the Western River Expedition. This massive E-Ticket attraction was planned to headline Walt Disney World’s second phase, and was the brainchild of legendary Imagineer Marc Davis. In the end, the attraction would never be built. Western River Expedition model. Main Street Tributes On a happier note about legendary Imagineers, many (including the aforementioned Davis) are honored on Main Street U.S.A. If you look up at the second level of park’s entry land, each window bears a name and reference to a legendary Imagineer or other major figure in the history of the Disney company. Window Tributes Center Street Voices Staying on Main Street, there’s a small easter egg for those looking for it. If you’re able to grab a quiet moment on Center Street – – the small side street about halfway down Main Street near the current Starbucks location – – listen closely and you can hear the conversions of the residents living above the small courtyard. Center Street Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was NEVER Meant to be Built Since its 2014 opening, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has consistently been one of the Magic Kingdom’s most popular attractions, with some of its highest wait times. Which probably makes it all the more surprising that the ride wasn’t originally planned for the New Fantasyland expansion. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train When concept art for the New Fantasyland project was first released, the area where the coaster currently sits was occupied by several interactive Disney Princess meet and greets (in a similar vein to Enchanted Tales with Belle). Reaction to these plans was negative, with many lamenting the lack of a major new attraction and the emphasis on Princesses. Disney pivoted, replacing the meet & greets with the Mine Train, and the rest is history. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Next time you head to the Magic Kingdom, keep these tidbits and history in mind! It’s almost time…a huge celebration will be starting soon! ©Disney Yep, Disneyland is celebrating its 70th birthday and there’s going to be a massive party that starts on May 16th and ends in summer 2026. In honor of that big anniversary, Disney is breaking out some new ride additions, a Walt Disney animatronic (no, REALLY), and bringing back one of its most popular parades, Paint The Night. However, Paint the Night is getting some upgrades, and Disney just shared a look at one of them. Disney shared a new look at Tinker Bell in the parade, and it looks like Tink got a bit of a glow-up with a new light-up outfit. For comparison, here’s what Tink looked like in 2016 when Paint The Night was being performed for Disneyland’s 60th anniversary. Tinker Bell in 2016 Here’s what Tink will look like when Paint The Night returns in 2025. As you can see, she got an all-new light-up outfit that’s a lot more streamlined. It has been many years since the parade was last performed, so it would make sense that Disney gives it a bit of an update — technology has changed a lot in a decade! ©Disney Disney also recently revealed that the Frozen float will be returning to the parade. The Incredibles float replaced the Frozen float in 2018, but Disney confirmed that Anna and Elsa’s float will come back in 2025 for the first time since the parade’s initial run. ©Disney The parade will also include illuminated floats from other Disney movies, including Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more. Characters will include Ariel, Belle, Buzz and Woody, Mike and Sulley, Peter Pan, Rapunzel, and more! ©Disney Paint The Night returns on May 16th, so be sure to check the Disneyland website or app for showtimes. The brand-new, insanely innovative and thrilling Epic Universe park opens on May 22nd, but we have been able to visit the park several times through previews, so we are sharing our top 3 favorite rides! Celestial Park in Epic Universe We have gotten to step through the portals and experience every part of what this new theme park offers to guests. Let’s start off by saying these attractions are unique and fun. The level of technology you’ll find here is impressive, and we can’t wait for this park to fully open soon. Whether you are planning a trip to Epic yourself or you’re interested in learning more about the rides here, we’re breaking down our top favorite rides. 1. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, you’ll find the Battle at the Ministry attraction. The queue for this line itself is huge, and Universal did not miss the mark on the details in it. Plus, you get to travel by Floo powder! You begin inside the Ministry of Magic, where Dolorus Umbridge is on trial for her crimes. This is an original story that you won’t find in the books or films of Harry Potter. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry You ride in an elevator to the trial, where you’ll go on an adventure with Harry, Hermione, Ron, and a house-elf named Higgledy. Without giving spoilers away, this ride is full of animatronics that are VERY lifelike. You’ll see some familiar faces and nods to the Harry Potter books throughout the ride, making it so fun for fans. The ride really blows us away, and we think it’ll be a favorite amongst visitors. Seats on Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry During previews, this ride is using a Virtual Queue system that has been notoriously hard to grab. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry has a minimum height requirement of 40″ or 102 cm. We also spotted signage for a Single Rider Line at this attraction. Read Spoilers from Our Ride on the Battle at the Ministry Here! 2. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment Now, we’re heading over to Dark Universe, where our second favorite attraction lives. This attraction follows Victoria Frankenstein as she sets out to continue the work of her ancestors by controlling all of the monsters. Again, the queue alone for this ride is impressive. There are animatronics in the queue that look so realistic that it will have you excited for what is to come on the ride. Ygor’s demonstration! The number of animatronics throughout the ride blew us away, as well as their design. We had a few jaw-dropping moments throughout the attraction. It’s also not scary like you might think compared to Halloween Horror Nights, but we did get motion sick from it — it was worth it, though. We would argue it’s as scary as Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom. The preshow! The ride vehicle is similar in style to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It was a very fun ride, and if you enjoy the classic monsters, you’ll appreciate this one. Read Spoilers from Monsters Unchained Here! 3. Stardust Racers Stardust Racers is, in our opinion, one of the greatest roller coasters. It is fast, and there are several launches throughout the ride. One of our favorite things about this coaster is racing against the other train and seeing them beside you throughout the ride. One of our reporters, who is not a fan of the way roller coasters make her feel, loved it and said that she did not feel sick with this one. Stardust Racers We hope these help you on your trip to Epic Universe. For more on the latest news from Epic Universe, follow DFB! We’ve all been there, dreaming about something that we can’t afford. Convincing yourself, “Hey, maybe one day it’ll be mine,” but deep down, knowing the truth. That’s how we feel about this real-life Disney castle! ©MyHome So, castles are real things in some places in the world (you know, the kind you can LIVE in, unlike the Cinderella Castle in Disney World), and this one is literally up for sale in Ireland! This isn’t any old castle; no, it’s much more than that. It was purchased by Roy E. Disney, vice-chairman of the Walt Disney Company, oh, just the nephew of the Walt Disney. Wait, so does that make this an ACTUAL Disney castle?! This is Coolmain Castle! It is located in County Cork, Ireland, and is truly a breathtaking home. It has a whopping nine bedrooms and six bathrooms. The estate comes fully furnished, making it a nice and easy process for us to move in (we’re totally not still delusional that it can be ours). ©MyHome The history behind this home is very rich! The Coolmain Castle has been called home by the Disney family for the past 35 years. Yes, literally called by THE Disney family! It started when Roy E. Disney purchased the castle in 1989, “and comprehensively restored and updated, and meticulously maintained ever since.” Imagine having this place to call home and saying, “Oh yeah, the Disney family used to own this place.” Talk about a flex! ©MyHome The estate is in a beautiful location that overlooks the sea, and comes with about 56 acres of land. So you could really have a Disney princess moment here — just walk out to the sea, look at your reflection, and sing “I want adventure in the great wide somewhere”…too much dreaming? Alright, back to the castle! The “gardens and grounds are glorious,” according to the MyHome real estate listing. Yeah, we can see that is very much the case! ©MyHome It also has a tree-lined avenue, so venturing up to the castle is even more stunning. There’s a stone arch that leads to an inner courtyard. The stunning stone walls give the whole place the perfect vibe and aesthetic. ©MyHome Ok time for the big question, how much does this beauty cost? It’s actually not that bad, not bad at all — it’s only €7.5 million (if you could hear us, you would hear the pain in our voice). Hey, we can dream right? After all, it is a Disney castle! ©MyHome Now we all have something that we can sit and dream about living in. It’s quite crazy how gorgeous this place is! We’re always on the lookout for all things Disney, so make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! This Golden Oak Home in Disney World Just Sold for Over $8,000,000 (!!!) Some big changes are coming to the Disney World hotels! Port Orleans French Quarter In the past few years, we’ve seen quite a few updates to the Disney World hotels. We’ve seen room refurbishments, lobby updates, restaurant overhauls, and general touch-ups. But Disney doesn’t seem to be stopping the adjustments anytime soon — these are the hotel updates coming up in the future! Scheduled Character Appearances The first change is one that’s already in progress at some locations, and you can likely expect it at your hotel when you come on vacation — scheduled character appearances! For the past few years, Disney characters have been visiting various hotels on a seemingly random basis. But now, Disney is sharing the schedule. Daisy at Riviera Resort In February 2025, we started spotting signs in hotel lobbies with dates and times for when guests can expect to see characters visiting. This is a great guide so you can make your plans for a resort day! When you stay in a Disney Resort next time, be sure to look out for the sign or ask at the front desk. Click Here to Learn More About Scheduled Characters! Luggage Assistance A new perk has recently begun testing at the Disney World Value Resorts — luggage transfers with Southwest Airlines. For those flying home from Disney World with Southwest and staying at the All-Stars, Pop Century, or Art of Animation, you can visit luggage services at your hotel to drop off your bags…and then pick them up at baggage claim when you get home! Luggage Assistance There are signs in the lobbies of these resorts with details, or you can visit the luggage services desk to get more information. The time of your flight will determine when your luggage needs to be dropped off at the desk, but they’ll make sure it gets to the airport and on your flight! And did we mention? This is completely FREE. Click Here to Learn More About This Perk! Moderate Resort Room Changes For 2026 hotel bookings, Disney World made a significant change to the Moderate Resort room categories. Going forward, the main room categories will be Standard Room, Preferred Room, or a room with a king bed. Some Disney Moderate Resorts will continue to offer specialty categories, like the Royal Guest Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort—Riverside. Caribbean Beach Resort This change applies to Caribbean Beach Resort, Coronado Springs Resort, and the Port Orleans Resorts. It’s hopefully going to help streamline that booking process and make things easier to understand. Click Here to Learn More About the Change! Fort Wilderness Campsite Changes If you’re a fan of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, there’s a big change you need to know about for 2026. Starting next year, the maximum occupancy for campsites at this resort will be 8 people. Currently, that number sits at 10. Welcome to Fort Wilderness This decrease in the number of guests on each site applies to Premium Campsites, Premium Meadow Campsites, Full Hook-Up Campsites, Tent or Pop-Up Campsites, and Preferred Campsites. The only other accommodation type at Fort Wilderness is the cabins, which can accommodate 6 people each. Get More Details About the Fort Wilderness Change Here! Grand Floridian Lobby Refurbishment The last big update we need to make you aware of is the lobby refurbishment happening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. During this construction project, the lobby will be getting a refresh, along with the staircase and the front desk. Also, Disney will be adding a new lobby bar. ©Disney Concept art for the project has been shared, and the construction has already begun. Because of this project, there will be no Grand Floridian gingerbread house display in 2025. Learn More About the Grand Flo Project Here! So looks like resort stays will be fairly different going forward! If you want to know more about the best hotels for first-timers, make sure to watch our video below. Only, they weren’t straightforward with it — they made the announcement using a secret code! Sneaky, eh? Alright, let’s break down the Instagram post because The Polite Pig has something they are hiding from us. The post stated that the world needs to GET READY — because The Polite Experience is HERE! They mentioned there will be big names, big energy, big things to come. A whole lotta BIG! What’s going to be happening here? That was everything they put in the caption; now, let’s focus on the post itself! It looks like the mystery games have already begun with this restaurant, because they posted a code that you need to crack on the Instagram post. Apparently, something delightfully “polite” is coming, and the post challenges the clever ones out there to figure out what it is. The code reads: 10 / 21 / 14 / 5 – C – T – Y @thepolitepig via Instagram They also dropped a decoder for us to use to crack the code! @thepolitepig via Instagram If you want to solve it, give it a try! We did crack the code so you wouldn’t have to, so keep scrolling to find out what the secret message is. SPOILERS AHEAD! Disney Springs JUNE 3 20 25 — June 3rd, 2025 is what the code says. We have been to Epic Universe a few times now, and we have spent a lot of time riding rides, just living in the atmosphere of all five themed lands in Universal Orlando’s new theme park, and living our best lives. Isle of Berk Now, we’re going to warn you now that one of our favorite lands is How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk (where we met TOOTHLESS, y’all!), but more importantly, one of our favorite snacks lives in this land (it’s the Goldfish Mac and Cheese cone and y’all gotta try it out). Now, we’re trying even MORE new food in that land, so come with us as we review Spit Fyre Grill. Atmosphere You’ll find Spit Fyre Grill in Isle of Berk near the Fyre Drill ride in a “bustling trader’s market” where you can munch on Viking fare. This quick service spot even has dragon wings on top to represent the unseen dragon fry cook that works here. Spit Fyre Grill You’ll order from one of many walk-up windows or via Mobile Order. Menu The menu here includes various bowls, as well as beverages, including ICEE. A selection of beer, wine, and mead are also available. Note that you can also get the Mac and Cheese cones here via Mobile Order. Eats First up, we grabbed the Valka’s Vegan Bowl, made with Kale spring mix blend, bean salad, pineapple salsa, candy beets, vegan feta, mango, and mint vinaigrette for $15.99. Okay, warning — this bowl is surprisingly spicy. It’s a basic salad bowl with some vegan feta that tastes pretty much like the real thing. Valka’s Vegan Bowl But, yeah, how does this combination end up being so spicy? We have no idea, but we will warn you if you’re used to general theme park spicy. We loved it, of course, but if you’re sensitive to that kind of heat, stay away. It hits the tongue hard, and you might want some milk to chase it down. It might seem light and refreshing, but it’s bringing some FYRE. SPICY Next up, we ordered Hiccup’s Salmon Bowl for $18.99, made with ancient grains, grilled citrus salmon, jicama slaw, blistered cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and avocado crema. This bowl was a hit for us, too. The salmon was well-cooked, and the size was perfect. The slaw with the tomatoes and feta cheese just works well with it, too, for a flavorful combination. Hiccup’s Salmon Bowl Honestly, we didn’t expect a bowl like this with such high-quality options in a theme park. It’s also a great choice if you want something a little healthier, but filling. Better than it had any right to be So, yeah, these bowls kinda rock. Nosh or Not Sail on over to Spit Fyre Grill if… You want healthier options. These bowls offer a great meal option with healthier ingredients compared to a lot of other theme park fare. You like really spicy food. The vegan bowl set our tastebuds on fire — in a good way. If you like that, you have to try it. You want a quick meal. This is a quick-service restaurant that also has Mobile Order, so you’ll get your food fast. You should skip the Spit Fyre Grill spot if… You have picky eaters in your group. The higher-end ingredients and elevated bowls here might be a bit too much for pickier eaters, although you can always grab one of the Mac and Cheese cones if all else fails. You want a table service dining experience. This is basically a hut with walk-up windows, so you won’t get a sit-down restaurant dining experience here. You want a heavily themed experience. Although the theming is on-point, this isn’t an immersive restaurant like you might find in Dark Universe. Overall Overall, we’d head to Spit Fyre Grill again for both of these bowls because we liked that this was well elevated from what you might expect as theme park food. The ingredients are fresh and the bowls are well-thought out. This is also a great option if you want something a little healthier than a burger and fries. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! You don’t need to do every ride in EPCOT. EPCOT The park is absolutely MASSIVE, and you might struggle to do every ride in one day if you’re also trying to enjoy the shows and entertainment, as well as thoroughly explore the countries of the World Showcase. So, when you have to prioritize rides, which do you choose? Well, today we’re here to tell you about one popular ride that you might be able to SKIP. What You Should Skip If you had to skip one of EPCOT’s most popular rides, the one we’d suggest you miss out on is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. This ride has been pretty popular since it opened back in 2021 for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure First of all, this ride can cause motion sickness for those who struggle with 3-D or 4-D motion, or those who struggle with rides that are screen-based. It’s a combination of sets and screens, and you have to wear 3-D glasses to get the full effect. Combine that with the unique motion of the trackless ride vehicle, and we’ve known quite a few people who got off this ride feeling queasy. Ride Vehicle You may also want to skip this ride for the sake of its wait time. It gets incredibly long waits (especially first thing in the morning!), and those wait times aren’t always accurate. Personally, I’ve waited in this queue on three separate occasions when my actual wait time was MUCH longer than the posted one when I got in line. And trust me — this queue is definitely not exciting enough to stand in for 2.5 hours. The ride also tends to break down frequently, which can delay your entire day. The line for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Finally, you might want to skip out on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure if you’re more of a thrill-seeker. Compared to some of the other popular rides, it doesn’t have much in the way of thrill (it doesn’t even have a height requirement, so BABIES are allowed to ride!). What to Ride Instead Instead of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we encourage you to prioritize Frozen Ever After or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Those are the other two rides that fall into the “top 3 most popular” category, and they tend to be more of a “can’t-miss” for a broader scope of people. Frozen Ever After Frozen Ever After appeals strongly to families with Frozen fans or to those who love a classic Disney boat ride. It also has juuust enough thrill for your kiddos — that drop down the hill at the end can be a lot of fun! We would choose it over Remy’s because its queue is more interesting, and its wait time also tends to run LOWER than the posted time. Frozen Ever After On the other hand, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is often proclaimed to be the best ride in EPCOT, and even the best ride in Disney World. It’s the only roller coaster in the park and the only roller coaster in Disney World with a backwards launch. Pair that thrill with its awesome randomized soundtrack, and it’s the kind of attraction that many fans believe is worth the wait. Cosmic Rewind Loading Area But in the end, you’ll just need to choose the EPCOT rides that fit your personal preferences the best!
