Spaceship Earth Pecan Cake at Magnolia Terrace The brand-new Magnolia Terrace food booth definitely brought some South to our mouths, but their Pecan Cake was the biggest hit with us! For $4.75, it tasted was a lot like a praline (but BETTER) because of how dense it was! But fair warning — it was SUPER sweet. The Pecan Cake comes fully loaded with Maple Whipped Cream featuring Burton’s Maple Syrup. It’s a Flower and Garden MUST if you ask us! Pecan Cake Wanna see what we thought of the new Magnolia Terrace? Read our FULL REVIEW here! Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade at Pineapple Promenade Do you heart pineapples, too? Click here to read our FULL REVIEW of Pineapple Promenade! Choriqueso Torta at Jardin de Fiestas Three words: Mexican sloppy JOE!!! The Choriqueso Torta is literally the loose meat sandwich of our dreams. The crumbles of spicy Chorizo (this is highly-seasoned ground pork) along with a pile of melty Monterey Jack Cheese, and creamy Avocado Mousse is EVERYTHING. The Jalapeños add another pop of heat and the fresh Bolillo Roll it’s served on is mmm mmm tasty! For $7, we’ll be scrounging up the funds for another, and ANOTHER! Choriqueso Torta Check out what else we’d order again at Jardin de Fiestas HERE! Zeppole at Primavera Kitchen Next stop: Italy! That’s where you’ll find this returning Best of the Fest Zeppole! Zeppole Check out what else we “mangia-ed” on at the Primavera Kitchen in our FULL REVIEW here! Crispy Citrus Chicken with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens at The Citrus Blossom The Citrus Blossom first bloomed at Epcot’s 2019 Flower and Garden Festival, and while you probably already know about the adorable Orange Bird Sipper you can get from this haven of lemon, orange, and lime, you might not know about one of its star dishes! The Crispy Citrus Chicken with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens for $5.75 made our Best of the Fest list when it debuted last year, and we’re bestowing it with our highest honor again in 2020! Don’t sleep on this citrusy delight! Crispy Citrus Chicken Wanna know how the rest of The Citrus Blossom’s menu stacks up? Read our FULL REVIEW HERE! Orange Cream Shake in a Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper Cup at The Citrus Blossom Speaking of adorable Orange Bird Sippers, you didn’t think we could leave this lil guy off the list, did you? In fact, it seems even though he originally debuted at the fest last year, a lot of folks didn’t get the chance to claim one for themselves! You see, he sold out VERY quickly and even though he was restocked towards the end of the festival, he just as popular as EVER BEFORE! Having gotten our hands on an Orange Bird Sipper with the Orange Cream Shake for $15 we happen to know why! It’s one of the CUTEST and BEST tasting drinks at the Fest — think melty orange creamsicle thoughts! Just expect to wait in some hefty lines for him! Orange Blossom Wine Slushy in Orange Bird Honey Peach Freeze with Blueberry Vodka at The Honey Bee-stro But there’s a contender for the cuteness crown this year! A challenger has entered the RING and his name is Spike the Bee! Over at The Honey Bee-stro is where you’ll find the brand new Spike the Bee Sipper buzzin’ about the festival (but if Bee-stro is closed like it was today, you can get him at Pineapple Promenade)! And he’s not just a handsome face — his Honey Peach Freeze drink is seriously LEGIT! Look out Orange Bird — there’s some stiff competition this year! Spike the Bee Sipper Local Wildflower Honey-mascarpone Cheesecake at The Honey Bee-stro What else is buzzworthy at The Honey Bee-stro? How about the Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake with Orange Blossom Honey Ice Cream? It’s garnished with Fennel Pollen and Meringue Kisses. The sweetness from the honey with the creaminess of the cheesecake makes our hearts skip a beat! And for $5, it’s still one of our Best of the Fest favorite eats! Local Wildflower Honey Mascarpone Cheesecake Now Bee-stro wasn’t open on the festival’s opening day yesterday, but we’re including it in our Best of the Fest anyway since we know it’s coming back and we want you to be ready for it! We’ll review it again as soon as the booth opens, and will update this post as needed! Bon Bon Chicken Skewer at Lotus House Get ready to shake your bon bon! This dish isn’t much of a looker, but the Bon Bon Chicken Skewer with Sesame and Peanut Sauce is new this year, and it’s PACKED with so much flavor! The sauce is what really sets this skewer off for us! We definitely recommend adding it to your festival eats bucket list for $6.50! Bon Bon Chicken Skewer Marco Boba at Lotus House Marco? POLO! If you LOVE iced coffee drinks, look no further than the NEW Marco Boba! It’s a delicious mixture of Amaretto, iced coffee, milk, and of course boba pearls! Boozy coffee drinks are totally our jam (along with those free Garden Rock shows!), so this concoction is $11 well spent if you need some caffeine to get you through the day! Canard Confit à l’Orange at Fleur de Lys Fleur de Lys has switched up one of these classics and this year is serving a Braised Duck Confit à l’Orange with Mashed Sweet Potatoes for $6.25! We thought the flavors were especially on point and if you love duck, you’re gonna wanna try this one fo’ sure! The meat was perfectly cooked and the flaky, rich crust was sheer yumminess. Despite having such a fancy name and list of ingredients, the flavors are very approachable! Canard Confit a L’Orange Get the 411 on the rest of Fleur de Lys menu of eats and drinks here! Salmon Flower Ikura at Hanami Okay, by now the word has probably gotten out that we absolutely LOVED everything at the Hanami food booth. But if we could only highlight a few items for you to try, the Salmon Flower Ikura is a festival-MUST! For $8.25, it’s fresh-cut Salmon, Salmon Roe, Spinach and Watermelon Radish, served atop a bed of Chilled Ramen tossed with Poke Sauce! Although the salmon is uncooked, the flavor is very mellow, and the fish isn’t slimy at all. It was a little oily, but the flavors married well — plus the little “planter” it comes served in is just the sweetest thang ever! Salmon Flower Ikura Furano Martini at Hanami Meanwhile, the Furano Martini was also killin’ it today! For $7.50, the drink consists of Vodka, Lavender Syrup, and Yuzu Juice! The lavender sprig garnish didn’t seem to care for the drink as much as we did (he was looking a little limp!), but we were fans of the complexity and sweetness this plucky drink had to offer! If you like craft cocktails, this is for you. Furano Martini Click here to READ our GLOWING review of Hanami’s menu HERE! Fried Cauliflower with Capers, Garlic Parsley, and Chili Ranch Sauce at Taste of Marrakesh Cauliflower FOR THE WIN! We know what you’re thinking — where’s the BEEF? Where’s THE CHEESE??? Funny you should ask! We too are always surprised by how delicious this festival eat is — even though there isn’t a shred of cheese in sight! The crispy pieces of Fried Cauliflower are super nummy while the brininess of the Capers and spiciness from the Chili Ranch Sauce is the real deal! See what your thoughts on Fried Cauliflower are for $7! Fried Cauliflower with Capers, Garlic, Parsley, and Chili Ranch Sauce Check out what else Taste of Marrakesh is serving at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival HERE! Additional Locations Tropical Breeze from Joffrey’s in The American Adventure Pavilion This drink costs $11.99 and it’s the perfect palette cleanser after a long day of eating! Its slushy consistency is made with lemon, coconut syrup, and pineapple rum! And while we enjoyed all of the seasonal beverages each of Epcot’s Joffrey’s locations was serving (none of them tasted very boozy!), this one was hands-down our favorite! It’s basically summertime in a cup! Tropical Breeze Check out the other Flower and Garden drinks Joffrey’s is stirring up all over Epcot HERE! Mini Funnel Cake at Funnel Cake Stand The Funnel Cake Stand in the American Adventure Pavilion knows how to crank out some tasty funnel action! This year, they’ve got a Mini Funnel Cake we’re truly nuts about! It’s topped with Lemon Cheesecake Ice Cream, Blueberries, and Powdered Sugar and costs only $7! The blueberry and lemon struck all the right chords with us while the ice cream is tart and rich. If you don’t dig lemon, don’t be scared away! Ours wasn’t overly lemony at all and didn’t make us pucker up, we swear! Mini Funnel Cake Check out our FULL REVIEW of the new Mini Funnel Cake HERE! Popsicle Trio at Refreshment Port We were absolutely gobsmacked with this next dessert — Refreshment Port’s Popsicle Trio! You get 3 (THREE!) mini popsicles for $5 including honeydew, raspberry-mint, and coconut lime! Aren’t they just the CUTEST? The only thing is, you don’t have much time to look at them before they start to melt, so you gotta hurry! This might be our favorite three-fer of all time! Don’t miss it! Popsicle Trio Fried Green Tomatoes at Refreshment Port Fried Green Tomatoes with blue crab-fennel salad, remoulade, and smoked paprika oil for $6.25 was also Best of the Fest material! Who knew the Refreshment Port was bringin’ their A-game this year? We didn’t get much of the paprika, but we found this to be a delicious, salty snack nonetheless! The crab itself is the perfect texture and was complimented nicely by the crunch of the tomatoes! Fried Green Tomatoes Read our review all Flower and Garden’s Refreshment Port menu HERE! Jardin de Fiestas Spread Check out everything we ATE at Jardin de Fiestas HERE! Fleur de Lys Just say oui to Fleur de Lys! Trust us — you’ll be glad you did! Fleur de Lys Offerings Best of the Fest for Kids Flower and Garden Festival food booths aren’t just for adults! There are plenty of kiddo-friendly foods as well! Take, for example, the Frushi at Hanami! You get three pieces for $6 and it’s a great introduction to Japanese cuisine, minus the raw fish! Strawberry, Pineapple and Cantaloupe are wrapped in Sweet Rice and Pink Soy Wrap served with Whipped Cream, Drizzled Berry Sauce and Toasted Coconut! It’s as adorable to look at as it is tasty to EAT! Might have to get one for the adults, too! Frushi! Honorable Mention for Kids Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt at Flavor Full Kitchen We think Flavor Full Kitchen also has one of the best offerings your “little gardeners” will enjoy — the Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt for $4.50! Normally when you think of “worms” and “dirt” desserts, you think of a pudding you eat with a spoon, but this version is actually a drink! Have fun slurpin’ up that gummy worm that the shake comes topped with! Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt Instagram Winner Chinese Cotton Candy at Lotus House Is there anything more magical than a big fluffy cloud of cotton candy shaped like a flower, WE ASK YOU??? You’ll find these edible sugary creations have once again made their way back to the Lotus House! The 5-Layered Spring Fantasy for $16 is notably our favorite, but you can also get cotton candy fashioned into a heart, butterfly, star and other blossoms by the master of sugar artistry, Wenbo Zhang! He’s not always in, but when he is, watch out! Chinese Cotton Candy Click here to see PHOTOS of the FOOD at the 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival!
