Disney4me Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Halloween is OVER, and the holiday season is about to take over Disney World — and as a certified “Holidays at Disney” lover, I could not be happier about it! With the holidays nearby comes some big changes to the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Jingle Cruise The next few weeks will see the launch of several major holiday events, the rollout of new snacks and merchandise, and — our topic today — a spate of major ride changes! The Jingle Cruise Let’s begin with arguably Disney World’s most popular Christmas-themed overlay: The transformation of the “World Famous” Jungle Cruise into the Jingle Cruise! Jingle Cruise The ride offers a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns,” and unlike any of the other holiday overlays we’ll get to in Magic Kingdom, it’s available to all guests as opposed to only guests with tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Suffice to say, the ride is a popular one, with lines often spilling all the way through Adventureland. Notably, the attraction is NOT offered as part of Early Entry, so hotel guests will have to rope drop it traditionally when the ride opens November 3rd. Jingle Cruise Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Overlays In addition to the Jungle Cruise, several other Magic Kingdom attractions will receive special holiday overlays during the park’s premier Christmas event — which launches November 8th –, including: Space Mountain: Features “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.” The Tomorrowland Speedway: Transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.” The Mad Tea Party: Becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.” Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor: Puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.” Space Mountain in its festive lighting Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets From Disney World’s most popular holiday overlays to its newest, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets is getting a holiday overlay for its first Christmas at Hollywood Studios. Beginning on November 4th, the attraction will be transformed into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay. The attraction’s courtyard will burst with festive music, and the pre-show will feature The Electric Mayhem in rehearsals for their holiday spectacular. The overlay — which lasts until January 6th — will also feature a unique mix of Christmas tunes on board, including: “Holiday Road” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson “Silver Bells” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Cyndi Lauper ©Disney DJ Lilypad Decks the Halls Speaking of holiday overlays at Hollywood Studios, Christmas music is returning to Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land on November 4th. This time, the tunes are presented by the new DJ Lilypad, who debuted in September. The new playlist includes: “Deck the Halls” “Toyland” “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers” “Joy to the Swirl” ©Disney Tiana’s Bayou Adventure However, even with these holiday overlays, Disney World will also see a closure this week. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will close for a short refurbishment on November 2nd. The attraction, which opened back in 2024, is currently scheduled to reopen on December 18th, just before the fullest extent of the Christmas rush. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Disney World will see a slate of major ride overlays — and a major temporary closure — this week, as the holiday season begins in earnest!
