Let’s face it, friends, things have been kind of rough the past few weeks. From the passing of beloved figures like Dolly Parton and Tim Curry to the marker of the passage of time that is the start of the school year, the end of August can be incredibly draining. If the end of summer has you feeling down, a solid snack might be the pick-me-up you need!

For frequent Walt Disney World guests, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing, including some NEW, deliciously decadent options that might be set to be annual favorites! However, those outside the Disney bubble shouldn’t fret, as two of the country’s most popular fast food locations are also offering new limited-time options sure to make early fall slightly more palatable!

At the Food & Wine Festival

Let’s begin at the Food & Wine Festival, which – – as usual – – is loaded with dozens of new items this year. Our favorites – – and ones that are sure to help your mood – – include the Seoul, South Korea Bo Ssam Pork Poutine. Available at La Poutinerie, this $11.99 take on the Canadian classic is made with French Fries, Cheese Curds, Bo Ssam Pork, Gochujang Gravy, Kimchi Pickles, Aïoli, and Sesame. The creamy white sauce and cheese curds balance out the spicy sauce, leading to a pleasant, peppery flavor. It’s a perfect comfort food if you’re feeling down.

This was absolutely delicious

If you’re feeling something a bit sweeter – – or simply want dessert after the poutine, no judgment – – Connections offers Caramel-Apple Cheesecake Baumkuchen. This $6.49 sweet may fly a bit under-the-radar, but it’s one of the best things we tried at the Festival in 2026! The dish is made up of cake with caramel apple in the middle, topped with whipped cream. This really didn’t give us cheesecake vibes, but rather a fluffy, thick, vanilla cake that had multiple layers to it. It is pretty filling, but it is also really good.

Outside Disney

If you’re not heading to the Food & Wine Festival any time soon, you can still find some delicious pick-me-ups at two of the country’s biggest fast food chains. Let’s begin with Chick-fil-A, which rolled out a Chicken and Waffles Sandwich nationwide on August 24th. Available as both breakfast and entrée offerings, the sandwiches feature guests’ choice of the chain’s Original, Spicy, or Grilled filet options between maple-flavored waffles, topped with three strips of applewood-smoked bacon and honey butter spread, and a side of classic syrup.

Meanwhile, over at Taco Bell, you can hold on to summer just a bit longer thanks to a collab between the chain and pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo. According to the chain, the new You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast mixes the “signature tropical lime taste of MOUNTAIN DEW Baja Blast with the refreshing flavor of pink lemonade, creating a vibrant pink twist inspired by (Rodrigo’s) new musical era.” After debuting at Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Festival and Live Más Cafés in California, Las Vegas, and Texas, the drink will roll out nationwide on September 24th.

Whether you’re heading to EPCOT for the Food & Wine Festival or simply looking for a fun treat to liven up any given day, there are some great options this fall. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be daydreaming about that Pretty in Pink Baja Blast. Stay tuned to DFB for more coverage of limited-time food offerings both inside and outside Disney World’s gates.
