Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

Summer House on the Lake in Disney Springs is serving up this decadent 6-Layer Chocolate Cookie Cake for $15.95. It is a stack of chocolate chip cake, whipped cookie dough, and frosting served with a salted caramel sauce and topped with cookie dough pieces.

6 Layer Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

This is a massive 6-layer cake that looks almost like the inside of a stack of chocolate chip pancakes! It has three cake layers, two cookie dough layers, and two frosting layers. It’s served with a pourable caramel sauce and topped with cookie dough pieces. The chocolate chip cake layers are soft and fluffy and match that fresh chocolate chip cookie look and consistency. Chocolate chips throughout the cake add a crunchy texture and rich dark chocolate flavor.

The cake without the caramel

The cookie dough layers are slightly runny with a sweet, raw cookie dough flavor without as many chocolate chips as the cake. The cookie dough pieces on top are firmer than the layers inside and slightly gritty without much flavor, but seem to be more for texture

The frosting is very light with a subtle vanilla flavor, and it doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavors. The plate was garnished with sea salt chunks, which we initially thought was sugar. It gave some bites a very intense salty flavor, which didn’t blend with the cake well. The caramel added some sweetness but not as much as the chocolate. It was a nice, warm, runny consistency that coated the cake well.

Super fluffy

This cake is a combination of soft, fluffy textures, chocolate chip sweetness and crunch, oozing caramel, and cookie dough goodness. Anyone who loves cookie dough would love this! It’s very shareable and for under $16 is a great hidden gem!

In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
