Coronado Springs Beginning on August 10th, the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will begin a planned refurbishment. The project is expected to stretch through September 2027. Furthermore, the hotel’s El Centro Corridor and surrounding areas will also undergo refurbishment tied to the convention center refurbishment. The convention center during Destination D23 According to Disney, work will be completed in phases, with certain spaces being temporarily inaccessible at times. The work will take place overnight to “help minimize impacts to daily operations.” However, Disney does stress that guests may see or hear construction activity in the area while work is ongoing. Lost City of Cibola pool Coronado Springs is far from the only popular Disney hotel that will see construction through most of 2027. The popular Value Tier Art of Animation Resort will be undergoing a phased room refurbishment throughout the year. Beginning in the spring, the resort’s standard rooms and family suites will be transformed and modernized. While retaining the theme, the new Little Mermaid rooms will feature new under-the-sea prints and a Murphy bed — similar to the current layout of the rooms at Pop Century Resort — along with a seashell bed and chairs. Furthermore, the company said that Imagineering and facilities are working together to maintain the feeling of stepping into a movie, which is obviously integral to rooms such as Cars and Toy Story. The resort will remain open throughout this refurbishment. Art of Animation Further rehab projects happening that will be ongoing through late 2026 and into 2027 include: Boardwalk Exterior Refurbishment: Through Late 2026 Wilderness Lodge Exterior Refurbishment: Late 2026 Yacht Club Exterior Maintenance: Late 2026 All-Star Movies Refurbishment: May 2026 to January 2027 Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House Refurbishment: May 2026 to January 2027 Grand Floridian Resort-Wide Refurbishment Including Porte-cochère: Through early 2027 Port Orleans Room Refurbishment: Through August 2027 Beach Club Exterior Refurbishment: Through Late 2027 Contemporary Resort-Wide Refurbishment: Through Late 2027 Jambo House Construction A major refurbishment of the Coronado Springs Convention Center is set to begin on August 10th and stretch through September of 2027.
