Disney4me Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago A lot of construction is happening at Universal Studios Orlando! Construction at Universal Orlando We recently took a trip to Universal Studios Orlando to see what was going on at the park, and we have not one, not two, but THREE construction updates for you. The park has been seeing some changes over the past couple of years, and they’re not done quite yet! You know what we think about often? How there’s a new Fast and Furious roller coaster on the way! This one-of-a-kind coaster is scheduled to debut next year, in 2027, and so construction has been underway for months now. This last visit, we saw how much work had been done so far. Construction on the Fast and Furious roller coaster Universal has laid down a lot of the roller coaster tracks! It was honestly surprising to see how much work they had done with the track already. We can’t stop looking at the part that goes straight up and then stops. Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift construction The roller coaster coming to Universal Studios Orlando is called Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift, and it’s the same one that was first announced to be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood. You can see the construction from outside the park, because the ride is replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, which closed in August last year. Work is underway for the Fast and Furious ride It also looks like work is being done on what could be part of the queue line, or maybe it’s the load/unload station. More construction The new ride isn’t set to debut until next year in 2027. Universal is hard at work to match its timeline, and you can see it in the construction progress. Universal is hard at work! In other construction news, we also saw that work is being done on the Horror Make Up Show. The Horror Make Up Show officially closed on May 12th to be reimagined, although we don’t have a ton of details on what the reimagining will look like. Horror Make-Up Show is closed and being worked on. Universal did say that the updated version will “showcase a mix of classic and modern horror properties along with shockingly fun surprises,” so the show will most likely be the same, just more updated. Plus, we did see a sign that said “Horror Make-Up Show” and “Enhancements in Progress!” The sign also mentioned it was a temporary closure for the attraction, which was part of Universal’s original announcement. Enhancements in progress! Lastly, Finnegan’s is still being worked on. We saw there is just a massive tarp on top of the building, and walls all around it. The restaurant closed on January 12th and will remain closed through Winter 2026. So, we’re not expecting to see this dining spot till the end of the year. No specific reopening date has been announced, and we’re assuming there’s a lot of work to be done if the closure is that long. Finnegan’s construction A lot is going on at Universal Studios Orlando!
