Disney4me Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago There are tons of amazing places to dine in Disney World. We’ve made our entire career out of celebrating, reviewing, and loving (or sometimes hating) Disney food! Welcome to Jock Lindsey’s The theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs all have incredible dining spots, but they aren’t all created equally. One of the most popular Disney World spots is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs. After years of popularity, does it still hold up? We went to find out! Atmosphere Jock Lindsey’s is located at The Landing in Disney Springs, and it is a super detailed spot! This walk-up lounge is first come, first served and doesn’t accept reservations. The bar is inspired by the pilot for Indiana Jones, Jock Lindsey! Outside of Jock Lindsey’s This is the waterfront hangout that he spends time at while Indy is off searching for the Fountain of Youth. You can see tales of their travels throughout the decor of this restaurant. Inside the bar This lounge has table-top seating, high-top seating, bar seating, and more inside the restaurant. There’s also a very cool diving bell booth in the corner, which we’re huge fans of. There’s also back door seating where you can sit outside and look at the water. A closer look at the bar! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu This menu changes depending on the season! The restaurant has both a Halloween- and Christmas-inspired overlay, which also features seasonal bites that are super popular. If you’re there when there isn’t an overlay, you’ll find different cocktails and tapas to enjoy. The drink menu! There are light bites like loaded pretzels, dips, flatbreads, and more for you to test out. American-inspired dishes with a twist! And now, onto the main event, the food! Before we dive in, the prices we paid for each item are what we list in the article. Prices were slightly lower online, so be sure to double-check before ordering these items. Drinks To drink, we picked up the Cool-headed Monkey for $17.50! This is made with STARR African Rum, Cointreau Liqueur, Lime Juice, Tangerine, Watermelon, and Pineapple Juice! This cocktail was super colorful, and that white foam on top added a super soft texture to each sip. Cool Headed Monkey The most prominent flavor was easily the rum, which offered that familiar tropical spice. The lime and citrus in the drink added a tartness that made the drink even more refreshing and tropical. The rum worked well with those fruity flavors. It was strong, so it’s best to sip on it throughout your meal. If you’re looking for a fruity, tropical drink, this is a good option. Look at that foam! Eats First up, we grabbed the Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel for $25! This comes with Prosciutto, Sliced Brats, Artisan Pepperoni, Smoked Cheddar, Black Diamond Cheddar, Caraway Pickles, Spicy Mustard, and Beer Cheese Fondue. First off, this thing is huge! The Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel This is essentially a charcuterie board but somehow better! The pretzel was soft and fluffy inside. The outside holds up and has a slight crunch thanks to the sesame seeds and salt. The seasoning was just right in our opinion because it wasn’t overly salty, which let the other items around the pretzel shine. A closer look! This dish comes with a spicy German Mustard and Beer Cheese. The mustard was more spice-forward in the sense that it had several savory spices in it, and it was light on the heat. It was a bold and tangy mustard flavor that felt more natural than artificial. The mustard The beer cheese was smooth and creamy. It was more subtle and not as cheesy as we anticipated. It was a nice and thick flavor that we enjoyed, but it didn’t stand out on the board. The beer cheese! The smoked cheddar and plain cheddar cheese on the board had a firm exterior with a mild and familiar flavor. They were chewy but balanced well with the soft pretzel. The salami is thick, chewy, and peppery. The sausage was thick-cut with a tender texture. It also reminded us a bit of a breakfast sausage. The cheese! The prosciutto had a strong cured flavor, but it was a bit tougher than others we’ve had in the past. The dill pickles added a fresh crunch and bright acidity to balance the other items. The entire dish was well balanced while still letting each item shine individually. It has enough for both picky and adventurous eaters to be satisfied. More close-ups! We tried The Bread Dip Pyramid for $13. This is made with Brazilian Cheese Bread, Creamy Tomato, and a Chorizo Dip. The sauce was thick, hearty, and had chunks of tomato in it. It was acidic and rich at the same time, which we loved. The chorizo was very apparent with a smoky, meaty flavor that came through the front of each bite. There was a mild spice, but nothing that was overwhelming. Bread Dip Pyramid The bread was soft, airy, and slightly chewy with a crispy exterior. It pulled apart easily and held its structure. The cheese flavor worked so well with the sauce because of the different textures and flavors. The sauce was easily the best part, but we will never turn down cheese bread! A look inside the bread! Finally, we tried the Three All-Beef Sliders for $17. These are made with Special-blend All-Beef Patties, Tomato-Bacon Jam, House-made Pickles, Lettuce, and Munster Cheese on a House-made Bun. The sliders! The beef patties were juicy and tender and carried the flavor profile in each bite. The patties were well seasoned, so there was true flavor in each bite. The marinara adds a sweet, acidic flavor without being messy. The cheese was well melted, which added a creaminess to the sliders while holding each element together. A look inside! The lettuce and pickles were fresh and added a great crunch to each bite. The bun was soft and light. The sliders offered a sweet, savory, and tangy flavor profile in each bite. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You love themed dining You want small plates with great cocktails Or you’re looking for a casual stop for appetizers before dinner You should skip this Disney World spot if… You need larger entrees to enjoy You want a more upscale dining experience Or you aren’t looking for American-inspired dishes Overall This spot has spent years at the top of the best lounges list, and we think it’s still pretty high up there! This spot can serve up bites for both picky and adventurous eaters, making it a fun, casual spot for the entire family. The full spread!
