Disney4me Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago After 30 years of staying at Disney World hotels, there are three I just keep coming back to, and you might want to book this one for your next vacation. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge I believe that some Disney World resorts are just made for you. Maybe you enjoy the immersive theming of Art of Animation, or you really love having access to the monorail from your resort. I’ve stayed at most of the Disney World resorts in my life, but now there are just three that my family can’t stop booking. 3. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has incredible theming that can make you forget you’re in the heart of Florida, not on an island. From the lobby to the detail in the rooms, staying here can feel like a vacation, while on vacation. We also love that it is on the resort monorail loop, giving you quick access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. But by far one of the best reasons to stay here is the food. Whether you’re grabbing the Tonga Toast from Kona Cafe for breakfast, the Pork Nachos from Capt. Cook’s, or a drink from Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, you’ll be in for a treat. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort 2. Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Beach Club Resort is famously known for having one of the best pools for a Disney resort. It is conveniently located near the Boardwalk, giving you walkable access to tons of restaurants, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’re someone who wants to spend time at their resort while also being able to get to the parks quickly, this is a great resort. Beach Club 1. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort — Copper Creek Villas Finally, my number one choice for a Disney hotel is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, specifically Copper Creek Villas. If there’s one Disney World hotel that completely transports me somewhere else, it’s Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. From the moment I walk into the soaring lobby, I’m reminded why I keep coming back. Inspired by the grand National Park lodges of the Pacific Northwest, every detail feels intentional, from the massive stone fireplace to the towering timber beams and rustic décor. Wilderness Lodge lobby As someone who travels with my family, I really appreciate how comfortable the rooms at Wilderness Lodge feel. The Copper Creek Villas have plenty of space to spread out, which makes a huge difference after spending an entire day in the parks. There’s enough room for everyone to unpack without feeling like we’re constantly stepping over each other, and the warm wood accents and cozy design make the rooms feel more like a mountain retreat than a standard hotel room. It’s a place where I genuinely look forward to coming back each afternoon or evening. We typically stay in a Copper Creek Deluxe Studio, which is about $623 per night. Of course, there are a wide variety of rooms available at the resort, and some are cheaper. Wilderness Lodge in Disney World One of the biggest reasons I love staying at Wilderness Lodge is that I never feel like I have to leave the resort to find a great meal. There are plenty of dining options, whether I’m grabbing something quick before heading to the parks or sitting down for a relaxing dinner. Whispering Canyon Cafe But the real standout for me is Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Sitting outside along the water with a meal or drink while watching the boats travel to and from Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite ways to unwind after a long park day. The resort also has several other lounge spaces that make it easy to relax without fighting the crowds you often find at other Disney hotels. Geyser Point Bar & Grill Transportation can make or break a Disney vacation, and the boat service to Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite perks of staying here. Instead of squeezing onto a crowded bus, I get to enjoy a relaxing ride across Bay Lake while taking in the scenery. It’s one of those little extras that makes Wilderness Lodge feel so special compared to many other Disney resorts. Wilderness Lodge boat My family loves to stay here during the holiday season. There’s something about the giant Christmas tree and decorations paired with the rustic features that make this resort feel so cozy. It also makes for a quick trip to Magic Kingdom if you are visiting Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Christmas Tree at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge This resort is perfect for travelers who want their Disney vacation to feel a little slower and more relaxing without sacrificing convenience. If you love immersive theming, enjoy spending time at your hotel, appreciate great dining and lounges, or like taking peaceful boat rides to Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge is hard to beat. It’s also an excellent choice for families who want spacious accommodations and plenty of activities on resort days. On the other hand, it may not be the best fit if your priority is having quick transportation to all four theme parks, since you’ll rely on buses for EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests looking for a more modern or bright atmosphere may also find the rustic, National Park-inspired design less appealing.
