Disney4me Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago A brand-new snack stand has opened at EPCOT, and it may change how guests approach eating around the World Showcase. Welcome to La Poutinerie Over in the Canada Pavilion, La Poutinerie has replaced the Refreshment Port, and it’s offering two new takes on classic poutine dishes. Located at the entrance of the Canada Pavilion, La Poutinerie utilizes a similar layout to the Refreshment Port, including a walk-up service window. The restaurant — which is sponsored by Air Canada — offers two different types of poutines along with some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. La Poutinerie Let’s begin with the pair of poutine offerings. During our inaugural visit, we tried both. The Québec: L’Authentique is in line with traditional poutine: French fries, cheese curds, and brown gravy. We really enjoyed this, even more than the poutine previously sold by Refreshment Port. The shoestring fries were perfectly seasoned and had the right amount of crispiness; the cheese curds were squeaky, cheesy, and fresh tasting, while the gravy was surprisingly light, not too heavy or goopy. Québec L’Authentique The next offering, the Montréal: Viande Fuméev, changes things up slightly. This bowl offers French fries, cheese curds, smoked meat, pickles, and mustard gravy. While the flavors here worked well together – – especially when you got them all in one bite – – we still preferred the more traditional take on poutine overall. That said, we did enjoy how the tangy mustard gravy cut through the salty, smoky meat and cheese, while the pickles added a nice crunch. Montréal: Viande Fumée Non-alcoholic beverages available include the Spiced Apple Slushy, DASANI Bottled Water, smartwater, and traditional Coca-Cola Fountain Beverages. Alcoholic options for all those planning to drink around the world include the Spiced Apple Mule (frozen ginger beer blended with lively lime and cozy spiced apple flavors with Iceberg Canadian Vodka), Molson Canadian Lager, Jackson-Triggs Reserve Red Blend, Unibroue La Fin du Monde Belgian-style Tripel Ale, and Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut, Columbia Valley. Spiced Apple Mule Adding yet another dining option to Disney World can make things even harder for guests to decide. Fear not! Our Guide to Disney World Dining pulls it all together so you can stop stressing and focus on the fun without feeling like you’re missing a thing! So, now that we’ve laid out the basics of La Poutinerie, how might it be changing the approach to eating around the world? Well, if you’re a big poutine fan, you definitely need to try the Québec: L’Authentique offering ASAP. It might even be worth switching up your regular route and STARTING in Canada instead of Mexico. Yum! In addition to the desire for poutine, there’s another reason why those wanting to chow down on some poutine should head to Canada first. Much to the chagrin of many fans, the new eatery’s hours are 11 AM to 5 PM, meaning that poutine will need to be an afternoon snack as opposed to a late-night option. La Poutinerie La Poutinerie is now open at EPCOT, and the new eatery might be changing how guests work their way around World Showcase’s culinary offerings!
