Disney4me Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago We’re more than halfway through 2026, which means A LOT of people are already starting to plan their vacations for next year. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa And with planning a trip, some of the biggest questions include WHERE you’re going to go and WHEN you’re going to go. Disney World is a popular vacation spot for many families around the world, and it can get pretty pricey, especially when it comes to hotels. But I’m here to break down the best times to go and stay at a Disney World hotel, so you can beat the crowds and save some money! January 24th – 30th You’d think that once the holiday season ends, the crowds at Disney World would die down, but that’s not the case until late January. The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which happens next year from January 6th to January 10th, draws in a whole different crowd. And the following week brings in the long-weekend crowds from Martin Luther King Day, landing on January 18th, 2027. ©Disney But after those crowds leave, you’ll be in the clear for a less crowded week filled with cooler temperatures, so this makes January 24th through 30th one of the best times to visit the resort! The Disney Skyliner will also be closed for its annual maintenance during this week, so if you want even fewer crowds, consider staying at Pop Century Resort, Art of Animation Resort, Riviera Resort, or Caribbean Beach Resort! Disney World’s Skyliner Let’s take a look at Pop Century Resort’s rates — from January 24th to 30th, one Standard Room costs $209.50 per night. But if you were to take a vacation during the holiday season — December 20th to 26th, for example — a Standard Room would set you back $349 per night. So, by traveling just a month later, you can save nearly $1,000! Pop Century Here’s the Bad News About The Disney World Skyliner April 11th – 17th Next year, Easter falls early on March 28th, so you won’t see those holiday crowds in mid-April. Most college spring breaks also occur in March, so April 11th through 17th might be the perfect time to take your Disney World vacation. It still won’t be in the peak-summer temperatures, but definitely bring a cooling towel and a fan because it’ll still be hot! School vacations up north tend to happen the week after, so if you’re going to book around this time, don’t book for too late in April! Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom If you’re going to be spending a lot of time at your hotel during your vacation, you’ll want one that has a lot to offer and won’t break the bank at the same time. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is a great option since it has several dining options — including those beloved beignets — a sister resort that you’ll also have access to, and easy transportation to Disney Springs via boat! Staying here during this week can also save you over $50 per night compared to if you were to stay during the week of Easter! Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter I Found the Perfect Room at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Hotel — Here’s How to Get It August 19th – 25th You may be thinking to yourself, “This girl is WILD to recommend taking a Disney World vacation in August,” and to that I say — you’re wrong! If you don’t mind the heat, booking a vacation to Disney World mid-to-end August might be the move for you! Florida schools generally resume in mid-August, so you won’t have to deal with the locals, and this is typically a period when EPCOT doesn’t have an ongoing festival — the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival tends to begin in the last week of August. Food and Wine Festival Booth It’s also one of the cheapest times to visit, with hotel rooms starting at just $84 per night — and that’s before any discounts or promotions — which there are some going on 90% of the time! So, if you don’t mind the heat, can go without eating festival foods, and want to save some money, we recommend booking between August 19th and 25th! All-Star Music 3 NEW Restaurants, Attraction Overhauls, and Food and Wine Festival Updates — Every Major Disney Announcement You Missed September 19st – 25th Mid to late September tends to be one of the slowest times of the year in Disney World — there is no major holiday, the runDisney races don’t start back up until late October, and everyone around the country is back in school. Plus, you’ll be able to see all of the fall and Halloween decorations up around the resort! Fall Decorations Maybe you want to explore the outdoors and stay at the Fort Wilderness Campsites? This is a great week to do it because you can stay for only $84 per night! The temperatures start to cool down around this time, too, so if you are looking for a less crowded, cooler vacation to Disney World, September 19th to 25th is the perfect time to take a trip!
