Disney4me Posted April 16 Report Posted April 16 Disney World has seen lots of closures lately, which is why we love a good reopening! If you’re not sure what to do at Disney World this summer, an underrated spot is reopening in May. Typhoon Lagoon We love the Disney World water parks because we can get Disney magic while beating the heat without planning a full theme park day. Typhoon Lagoon, which abruptly closed in February, is finally reopening on May 12th! Typhoon Lagoon is Disney’s oldest water park with fun for both kids and kids-at-heart, plus one of the largest wave pools in the world. It’s themed to be a tropical paradise that just survived a typhoon. Typhoon Lagoon will finally reopen on May 12th! Typhoon Lagoon If you’re staying in a Disney World resort this summer, you can’t miss out on Typhoon Lagoon. Disney is running a promotion where Disney resort guests will receive a free water park ticket for their arrival day from May 26th to September 8th. In addition to the pools and water slides, you can meet characters, play games, and even join a dance party. Drop your bags off with bell services and have some fun in the sun! Stitch at Typhoon Lagoon We also love going to Typhoon Lagoon’s after-hours event, H2O Glow Nights. The water park will stay open later, which means fewer crowds and shorter wait times, plus you can meet some exclusive, rare characters! This year, Powerline Max and Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers will make a splash. H2O Glow Nights will take place on select nights from June 2 to September 5, 2026. Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers We’re so excited to visit Typhoon Lagoon once it reopens. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World news!
