There are SO many options for dining at Disney World. And some of our favorite restaurants in Disney World don’t even require a ticket to the theme park! You can stop by one of the hotels or head over to Disney Springs for some delicious dining without setting foot in a theme park.

Atmosphere

Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar and Restaurant is a bit tucked away in the Landing section of Disney Springs. The story behind Enzo’s Hideaway is that it is located inside the “rum-running tunnels” of Maria and Enzo’s Restaurant. The speakeasy serves Prohibition-era cocktails and a menu of Roman dishes.

The entrance!

As you explore Enzo’s Hideaway, you will find lots of details throughout the speakeasy that will make you feel like you are in a secret hideaway. Even the entrance to the restaurant is a bit secretive! As you are guided to your table, you will feel like you are traveling through the tunnels. We love the details, and we definitely encourage you to explore a bit while you are dining here!

We love the design!

But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!

Menu

Enzo’s Hideaway offers an extensive selection of cocktails and alcoholic beverages!

The Menu

For starters, you can choose from a variety of Piccoli Piatti, or small plates.

There are also three options for Insalate, or salads.

As well, there is an option for a plate of cured meats and cheeses, as well as various options for Secondi.

And now, onto the main event — the food!

Eats

First up, we grabbed the Polpettine for $16. It is classic braised meatballs, whipped ricotta, and Parmigiano cheese.

Polpettine

The meatballs were so juicy and flavorful — very meaty and herby in the best way, so much so that we could have had this as our meal and be good to go! The tomato sauce was heavy on the tomato flavor, but tasted super fresh and homemade, and the whipped ricotta was lovely. It was creamy and fluffy, and added that delicious milky ricotta flavor to the dish. We do feel it was slightly expensive at $16, but we would absolutely get them again!

We were big fans!

We also got the Rucola for $16. It features baby arugula, radicchio, gorgonzola dolce, honey crisp apple, candied walnuts, aged balsamic, and extra virgin olive oil.

Rucola

This is a HUGE salad, and if you add meat, it’ll fill you up in no time. Everything tasted super fresh, and we loved how all the flavors complemented each other. The arugula was crisp, peppery, and fresh, and the radicchio added an even crispier texture and a bit of earthiness. The gorgonzola was in fairly large chunks, so we chose to cut it up and spread it out more throughout the salad, but it was very creamy and had that wonderful, funky flavor. You get a fair amount of sweetness from the crunchy apples and candied walnuts, and topped with the tangy balsamic vinegar and smooth olive oil, making this a very solid salad we would absolutely get again.

We were impressed!

Finally, we also grabbed the Roast Beef Panino for $18. It is slow-roasted NY strip, caramelized onions, cherry peppers, garlic aioli, and baby arugula.

Roast Beef Panino

This bread was super fresh, had a rustic flavor to it, and was fluffy with a crispy exterior. The sandwich was loaded with tender meat and arugula, and the onions were sweet and soft, but still had a bit of crispiness to them that added a great texture to the sandwich. The creamy garlic aioli added a great bite of garlic flavor and some creaminess like mayo, and the cherry peppers were the icing on the cake! They were acidic and vinegary, and added a bit of heat to the sandwich. We highly recommend, but you’ve really got to love arugula, and the only time you’ll be able to grab the panino sandwiches is at lunch, so keep that in mind!

We were big fans!

Finally, we tried the Quattro Mini Cannoli for dessert, which was $16. This came with four mini classic cannoli — one pistachio, one classic, one chocolate, and one hazelnut.

Quattro Mini Cannoli

These were all very fresh, as the shells were all crisp and had a great crunch, and the fillings were nice and creamy. The Chocolate Cannoli was our favorite, as the cannoli shell itself was dipped in chocolate, and then it was filled with a chocolate filling and dipped in some chocolate chips. It wasn’t overly rich, though, which earned it big points in our book.

Chocolate Cannoli

The Classic Cannoli was our second favorite, as the filling was light, fluffy, and creamy. The cannoli also had a piece of candied orange and a candied cherry on the sides, which added some freshness to it. However, if you’re someone who really wants just a plain cannoli, it might throw you off.

Classic Cannoli

The Hazelnut Cannoli certainly had a strong hazelnut flavor, so you’ve got to really love the flavor to enjoy this one. Our reporter wished there was a slight spice or a different flavor to break it up just a bit, but it was still tasty.

Hazelnut Cannoli

Finally, the Pistachio Cannoli is fantastic for those who love the flavor. The filling has a light pistachio flavor, and then it was also dipped in pistachios, so it wasn’t overpowering, but it definitely was very noticeable.

Nosh or Not

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

  • You’re a big fan of unique dining experiences
  • You want a slightly more upscale meal without spending an arm and a leg
  • You’re already in Disney Springs

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

  • You want a restaurant that is brightly lit (this one is pretty dark!)
  • You’re not near Disney Springs
  • You’re not a fan of the theming/are prone to claustrophobia (while there’s plenty of room inside, we could see where some people may be a little hesitant due to the theming)

Overall

We think this restaurant is majorly underrated for the most part, and we know it’s now moved up on our list of favorite spots to visit. If you’re a big fan of the theming, want something unique you really can’t find elsewhere, and are a fan of the menu items here (Italian food, for the most part), then we say stopping here is a fantastic choice for your next vacation.

In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
