Atmosphere

The BOATHOUSE is one of the resident signature restaurants located at The Landing within Disney Springs. They’ve been a favorite of ours (and our readers like YOU) for years, and we’ve fallen in love with their wide array of steaks, chops, and seafood.

The BOATHOUSE

The BOATHOUSE offers seating for up to 600 hungry visitors (400 inside and 200 in outside seating alone), so there’s not a bad seat in the house. And we’re begging you not to pass on the chance to stroll around the dock and check out the beautiful vintage “dream boats” from the 30s, 40s, and 50s!

Another highlight of this unique restaurant is the Amphicars. These unique vintage-style cars are some that can give you a one-of-a-kind experience here. They’re actually able to “drive” on water for a memorable experience you’ll be talking about for years to come afterwards (or kicking yourself for passing up the opportunity while you had it!) Advanced reservations are highly recommended for this experience, so we encourage you to make them as soon as possible for your best chance at riding.

And now, onto the main event — the food!

Eats

Right after we ordered, we were served some warm Parker House Rolls served with butter. It probably comes as no surprise that these were excellent. They’re soft, they’re fresh, and they pull apart so nicely. They were served with melted butter on top, with additional butter to spread on the roll. There wasn’t anything spectacular about the rolls or the butter, but hey, do rolls with butter need to be spectacular to be delicious?

First up, we grabbed the Filet Mignon Sliders for $22.50. These are served as 3 Sliders with a side of Maître d’ Butter.

Filet Mignon Sliders

The sliders were cooked to a medium temperature, and they were perfectly pink and tender. This filet mignon just melts in your mouth. The addition of the butter was perfect — the sliders didn’t even need anything additional. The meat was delicious all on its own, but we appreciated the simplicity of these. If you’re someone who likes a lot of toppings, we think you should try giving these a shot — they’re SO flavorful on their own.

STEAK!

We also ordered the Dockside Shrimp Boil for $27.50. This meal consists of Corn on the Cob, Red Potatoes, Andouille Sausage, and BOATHOUSE Seasoning.

Dockside Shrimp Boil

We’ve had plenty of lackluster seafood boils in our day, and we’re happy to say that this was NOT the case here. It was SO flavorful. At first, the spices had kind of settled, but as soon as we gave everything a mix, the party got started again. The potatoes were soft and buttery without being mushy, and the corn retained some of its pop. The andouille sausage was smoky and had a bit of spice to it, and had a great snap. Even our reporter — who isn’t the biggest shrimp fan — enjoyed the shrimp. The spices were sweet, smoky, and had that Cajun kick you’d expect.

SHRAMPS

To round out our meal, we also opted to grab the Maine Style Lobster Roll for $36. This dish is made of Chilled Maine Lobster, Lemon-Chive Dressing, Buttered Toasted split-top bun served with Kettle Chips.

Maine Style Lobster Roll

Okay, y’all, the lobster roll is basically perfect. It’s not a buttered lobster roll, but instead is served with a lemon chive dressing that really complements the butteriness of the meat well. The lobster wasn’t overcooked; instead, it was nice and soft and fell apart easily. It’s served with a lemon wedge so you can squeeze that over it, and there’s also some lettuce and tomato for a bit of crunch and variety. The bun was soft and well-toasted with a bit of butter on it and paired really well with the rest of the sandwich.

PLENTY of lobstah

For dessert, we picked up the Caramel Apple Bread Pudding for $11. This comes with a butter pecan caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Caramel Apple Bread Pudding

This was STELLAR. Imagine apple pie mixed with bread pudding, and you’ve got this — it’s excellent. We loved that the caramel sauce was on the side so that we could add as much as we wanted. The butter pecan sauce drizzled on top tasted like pralines, and we couldn’t get enough. It was buttery, cinnamon-y, and nutty. The bread pudding itself just melted in our mouths, and when it was paired with the ice cream, it was incredible. The bread itself wasn’t too mushy, and there were some caramelized bits that added a nice crunch.
