Disney4me Posted July 3, 2025 Report Posted July 3, 2025 We hope you brought your appetite, because a TON of new menu items just dropped at a Disney World hotel restaurant. Contempo Cafe When it comes to deciding where and what to eat at Disney World, how do you choose?! From fancy, sit-down meals that cost an arm and a leg to snack stands and everything in between — the choices can be overwhelming. But, over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Contempo Cafe is serving up some NEW breakfast and lunch items that we couldn’t wait to tell you about. We stopped by Contempo Cafe to check out some new menu items that just dropped! There are a few breakfast items to try, along with some sweet treats and loaded fries. Let’s kick things off with the Cinnamon Sugar Croissant Muffin, which you can get for $4.79. Cinnamon Sugar Croissant Muffin We LOVED this thing. It’s completely coated in cinnamon sugar, but it’s light enough that it doesn’t linger or overpower whenever you actually bite into it. The croissant muffin just kind of flakes off in layers, which is such a fun texture. The center of it is filled with chocolate ganache, which is the only part that’s really thick and harder to cut through. So once you reach that, you might have a little bit more of a resistance to your bite, but it won’t last for long because it’ll melt in your mouth. LOTS of ganache For something a bit heartier, we picked up the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Multigrain Croissant for $8.99. Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Multigrain Croissant It’s hard to go wrong with a breakfast sandwich, and this was very, very good. The bacon was light and crispy with just a little bit of chew to it. The eggs are nice and fluffy, and the cheddar cheese is already melted onto them, which is a bonus. It’s delicious. It is a little messy, though, trying to pick it up and eat it because it’s on a croissant, so the eggs tend to fall out. It’s also served with a very heaping portion of potato tots, which were nice and crispy. A solid breakfast option! Next up, we tried the Passion Fruit-Raspberry Tart, which you can get for $6.79. It’s a vanilla tart shell with raspberry and passion fruit curd, and whipped cream. Passion Fruit-Raspberry Tart This was a great fruity treat. It reminded us of a cheesecake with the passion fruit curd. It was really good for what it was, but we don’t know that we would necessarily want to go out of our way for this. It’s very pretty, so it does get points for that. We didn’t taste too much of a prominent passion fruit flavor; it was mostly just tropical tasting with a hint of tartness from the raspberry. Fruity and delightful We also grabbed the Banana Cream and Caramel Trifle. This was $5.99 and is layers of banana “whipped cream,” streusel, and caramel. This is a plant-based dessert. Banana Cream and Caramel Trifle This was an item on the Chef Mickey’s menu, but it was so popular over there that they decided to bring it to Contempo Cafe as well. It’s kind of like a banana pudding dessert mixed with apple pie filling, thanks to the caramel. The streusel added a much-needed crunch to break up the texture. The banana is nice and fluffy and kind of melts in your mouth too, and combined with the caramel is a really fantastic combination. Delicious For lunch, we picked up the new Loaded Cheese Fries for $6.49. These are French fries topped with bacon, cheddar, scallions, jalapeños, and house-made ranch dressing. Loaded Cheese Fries We’re happy to say that we can confirm the loaded cheese fries are, in fact, as good as they look. However, they were still putting the finishing touches on the menu, so ours only came with the melted cheese and bacon. It’s hard to go wrong with loaded cheese fries, and they hit the nail on the head with these — even for only being cheese and bacon. They were really, really good. The fries were crispy with some soggy bits here and there from sitting under the cheese, but we didn’t mind at all. It’s a melted cheddar situation here, so don’t expect any plastic cheese. The bacon was crispy and chewy in some parts, and this was just a salty bomb of goodness. We wish there had been the addition of the scallions and jalapeños, so consider yourself lucky if they’re available when you try these fries! SO good For our final dessert of the day, we had the Key Lime Cupcake for $5.99. It’s a vanilla cupcake with Key lime curd, graham cracker crumbs, and whipped cream. Key Lime Cupcake We weren’t expecting to like this as much as we did! This was light and not too heavy, even though it was a cupcake. Just as you would expect in a key lime pie, the whipped cream on the outside is nice and fluffy. It’s got some crumbled graham cracker bits to it that also have a little bit of a candy feel to them. The Key lime curd was sweet with that iconic tartness you’d expect, and we appreciated how well it paired with the whipped cream and vanilla cupcake. This was a hit for us!
