  1. Driving to Disney World or renting a car during your vacation can make it easier. Driving into the Magic Kingdom It can be so nice not to have to rely on Disney World transportation. Although it is free and relaxing to have a Cast Member help take you where you need to go, it also has its downsides. Having your own car can give you greater flexibility to explore all that Disney World has to offer. While this is true for most of the year, what we just said can become a pain during these six dates in 2025. There are a few times of the year when the roads around Disney World can be a bit crowded or even closed, which can be a pain for drivers who bring their own car to get around Disney World. While Disney World transportation can be a bit annoying, it has a huge benefit, and that is getting to avoid/not really think about traffic. Monorails travel on “highways in the sky.” The Skyliner soars above traffic-filled roads. Boats have their own waterways. And yes, even Disney buses have special bus lanes to help speed up their journey. The Highway in the Sky Certain roads around Disney World can be backed up each day during rush hour because, believe it or not, many Florida residents use Disney World roads to get home after work. In addition to the usual daily traffic, the roads around Disney World could be even more backed up on these six dates this year. Driving to Disney World runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend From April 16th to the 19th, runners will flock to Disney World to run a variety of races during the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. To accommodate and keep runners safe, certain roads around Disney World will close the morning of the race and reopen later in the afternoon. This is important to think about when planning your route to get to the parks so you are not surprised by a detour. Runners will also head to the parks to celebrate their achievements, and you may see more people on the Monday following the race to celebrate “Medal Monday” in the parks. runDisney collection runDisney: Disney Races and Events Schedule Cheerleading Worlds and Junior World & World Cheerleading Championships The Cheerleading Worlds will take place from April 25th to the 28th, and in between that, the Junior World & World Cheerleading Championships will take place from April 26th to the 28th. These events are held over at ESPN Wide World of Sports, but you can expect to see more traffic during this weekend as cheerleaders will be traveling around the resort to and from their hotels to ESPN Wide World of Sports. This also means that more families will also add to the traffic as they will want to come out and support their cheerleader. ESPN Wide World of Sports The Summit Championship Springtime is cheerleading time at Disney World, and from May 1st to the 4th, another cheer competition will be coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports. To add to the information above, the All-Star Resorts are a popular choice for cheerleaders and their families to stay at, which could mean a bit more noise at these resorts as cheerleaders often practice in open areas. ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World WARNING: Don’t Book a Stay at Disney World’s All-Stars Hotels in 2025 Until You Read This! The D2 Summit Another cheer event will take place from May 9th to the 11th. The same information from above applies as cheerleaders will compete over the weekend at ESPN Wide World of Sports. ESPN Wide World of Sports Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Rounding off the runDisney season is the Wine & Dine Half Marathon from October 23rd to the 26th. Just like the Springtime Surprise Weekend, you can expect road closures early in the morning into the afternoon, as well as more crowds around the resort, as runners and their families will spend time at Disney World before, during, and after the races. ©runDisney THEMES Revealed for the 2025 runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend Holiday Weekends The holidays can be a popular time to visit Disney World as schools have holiday breaks. We are starting to approach many holidays, including Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. While it can be so fun to visit the parks during the holiday season, the parks and roads tend to be more crowded. Christmas decor at the Magic Kingdom The Holiday Season in Walt Disney World — Dining, Special Events, and MORE! As we said, we are huge fans of bringing your own car to Disney World (especially if you already know your way around the resort), but if you want to avoid traffic, you may want to avoid these six dates. 2. Is that a dog? He’s blue, so that doesn’t make sense. He must be an alien, right? Well, whatever he is, he’s pretty cute. Stitch is totally having a moment right now — everyone is talking about him! What’s with all the Stitch discourse? Stitch! We’re glad you asked! The animated Lilo & Stitch movie premiered waaay back in 2002, but a brand-new live-action version of the film is coming soon. And we finally got our first official movie trailer! We have a lot of thoughts, so be prepared to talk about it. First of all, we’re happy to report that the iconic Elvis soundtrack is BACK! Thank goodness. As soon as we heard You’re the Devil in Disguise, we were transported back to all the times we watched the original Lilo & Stitch movie in the early 2000s. Ah, good times! Stitch LOVES Elvis! We also got a good look at several live-action characters, including Maia Kealoha as Lilo… ©Disney …Sydney Agudong as Nani… ©Disney …Kaipo Dudoit as David Kawena… ©Disney …Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles (coolest name EVER!)… ©Disney … andBilly Magnussen as Pleakley. Oh, and Chris Sanders is BACK to play the voice of Stitch again. ©Disney We saw some familiar scenes, like the one where Lilo attends a hula lesson and surfs with her sister, but we can’t wait to see more. It looks like this is going to be a pretty faithful recreation of the animated film! ©Disney OK, now that you have a taste of what to expect, it’s time to mark your calendars! The new Lilo & Stitch movie will premiere in theaters on May 23rd! That’s just a few short months away! We can’t wait to see all the hijinks Lilo and Stitch will get into on the big screen. Fingers crossed that Disney debuts a matching popcorn bucket to celebrate the movie in theaters! Movie theater Disney has seriously been leaning into the live-action remakes lately. Back in December, a live-action (well…does it count as live-action if they were all CGI lions?) Mufasa: The Lion King movie premiered, and a live-action Snow White film debuts on March 21st. Plus, look out for a live-action Moana movie that is currently in the works! ©Disney There’s a lot going on in Hollywood, so grab your popcorn and get ready for a BUNCH of new movies! 3. We’re getting closer and closer to the opening of Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort! ©Universal | Epic Universe Concept Art This BRAND-NEW theme park will officially be opening on May 22nd, 2025, and will be home to five different themed lands: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. We’ve been keeping an eye out for any potential news ahead of the park’s opening, and now we’ve got an update on single-day tickets! When tickets for Epic Universe were first announced, they were only available as part of a multi-day package deal, with no single-day ticket options. Universal shared that single-day tickets would eventually be available, though, and we’ve been waiting for that time to come. Well, friends, it’s finally here because single-day tickets for Epic Universe are ON SALE NOW! ©Universal Previously, the only way to purchase a single-day ticket was through an Annual Passholder presale, but that has since changed and single-day tickets are now open to the general public. At time of publication, single-day tickets are available as of June 1st — so if you want to visit the park before that, you’ll still need to purchase a multi-day package. ©Universal Single-day ticket prices start at $139 per person, but so far that price only applies to select weekdays in early September. Throughout June, July, and August, ticket prices range from $164 to $189 per person, per day. ©Universal As of now, the highest single-day ticket price is listed at $199 during the holidays. ©Universal An Epic Universe vacation is one that everyone is going to want to experience! The new park has many (MANY!) attractions and experiences across its five lands. You’ll get to explore Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and of course, Super Nintendo World! ©Universal Universal has called Epic Universe “its most ambitious theme park yet.” In a press release, the company announced, “Epic Universe will present a level of theme park immersion and innovation that is unmatched – transporting guests to expansive worlds featuring more than 50 awe-inspiring attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping experiences that come together to create an unforgettable adventure that is nothing short of epic.” ©bioreconstruct The new theme park will include five themed lands with new attractions, restaurants, shopping, and more. We’ve scoped out the newest updates on the construction of the park and have already stayed in one of the newest Universal hotels to put us as close to the action as possible! We’re just over two months away from the official opening of Epic Universe, which means that team member previews have begun AND the park has been added to the Universal Orlando app! ©Bioreconstruct In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more Epic Universe updates. 5. Picture this — in a few years, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will look wildly different. Disney’s Animal Kingdom We are getting an entirely new area dedicated to the Tropical Americas. But with new attractions and theming coming, we have to say goodbye to a land we love, DinoLand U.S.A. We have already seen the closure of TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, but parts of DinoLand are still up and running. Now, Disney has announced those are coming to an end so it has us anxiously awaiting the BIG announcement on everyone’s mind. DinoLand, U.S.A. is being transformed into Pueblo Esperanza, which will be home to a new Indiana Jones ride, plus the first-ever Encanto ride at a Disney park, as well as a new carousel. Construction has already started in the DinoRama area of the land, but parts of DinoLand remain open. Here’s 3 hints that Disney will make a big announcement soon. ©Disney || Tropical Americas Land coming to Animal Kingdom 1. One Less Dinosaur While construction walls went up in DinoLand in January, there was one thing we could still see one very large reminder of the past — Cementosaurus. DinoLand This was the MASSIVE green dinosaur that would greet you near the Fossil Fun Games. Well, our smiley dino friend has been taken down making this change even more glaring. We will be holding space for our large dino in our hearts. Goodbye Dinos 2. Restaurantosaurus and Dino Bites Disney recently announced that Restaurantosaurus will be open for a bit longer in 2025, but chances are this spot will close at the end of the year. We don’t have a current closure date which is something we are expecting to hear as we get later in 2025. Restaurantosaurus Dino-Bite Snacks is also still open, so if you’ve got a hankering for an ice cream cookie sandwich, you’ve got time to grab one. Again, no official closure date here yet. Quick! Order These 2 Disney World Snacks Before They Disappear 3. Not All Dinosaurs Are Extinct The Boneyard is still open and welcoming little archeologists to play daily. Disney has stated that there is still time for guests to play here with no official end date. The Boneyard If you haven’t taken one last ride with Dr. Seeker, there is still time! We know that DINOSAUR will be closing in 2026, but we don’t have an official date just yet. This attraction will transition over to a new Indiana Jones adventure ride! Dinosaur While we’re sad to see the end of DinoLand drawing near, we are excited about everything that the new Pueblo Esperanza land will bring to Animal Kingdom. As we not so patiently wait so Disney to share official closing dates for these last bits of DinoLand, be sure to follow DFB. We will report any Disney news to you. 12. After being closed for just over two months, the Gran Fiesta Tour is scheduled to reopen at EPCOT in a matter of days! Gran Fiesta Tour The boat ride-style attraction, located inside the World Showcase’s massive, completely indoor Mexico Pavilion, has been shuttered since January 6th, when it was one of several Disney World attractions to close for refurbishment. According to the Walt Disney World calendar, the Gran Fiesta Tour will reopen to guests on Saturday, March 15th. Gran Fiesta Tour The reopening is a big gain for the World Showcase, especially as far as crowd dispersal is concerned. The people-eating attraction should take some of the pressure off of Norway’s Frozen Ever After and France’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the World Showcase’s other two rides, both of which see some of EPCOT’s longest average wait times on a daily basis. Gran Fiesta Tour While the current incarnation of the attraction — The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros — has been open since 2007, the bones of the ride go all the way back to EPCOT’s opening in 1982 when it was known as El Rio Del Tiempo. Mexico Pavilion After a refurbishment that lasted just over two months, EPCOT’s Gran Fiesta Tour is scheduled to reopen to guests this Saturday, March 15th. 13. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been going through some changes lately, and we need to talk about one ride that’s been oddly hanging on. Disney’s Hollywood Studios With major projects like the Muppets Courtyard transformation into a Monsters, Inc. land and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s upcoming re-theme to a Muppets coaster, it seems like Disney is really ready to shake things up at Hollywood Studios. But that leaves us wondering – what about Star Tours? Could it be the next ride to go? Star Tours has always been a bit of an oddity when you think about it. When it first opened back it 1989, it was a groundbreaking motion simulator that let guests experience the world of Star Wars, and guess what? Back then, Galaxy’s Edge wasn’t even a thought. ©Think Disney Disney placed Star Tours in the Echo Lake area of the park, and while it made sense at the time, now it sticks out like a sore thumb. That’s because out of every other Star Wars-related experience in Hollywood Studios, it isn’t part of Galaxy’s Edge – it’s like it’s not even in the same zip code. ©Disney This separation does makes Star Tours feel a little out of place. It also doesn’t help that while Galaxy’s Edge fully immerses guests in the world of Batuu, Star Tours is still hanging on to that classic, pre-Galaxy’s Edge era of Star Wars. In addition to that, Galaxy’s Edge is already home to two major rides – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance, which means it’s not like the park is lacking in Star Wars attractions. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run So what does that mean for the future of Star Tours? Well, it’s hard to say, but with all the changes happening at Hollywood Studios, it wouldn’t be shocking if Disney eventually decided to phase it out. We’ve already seen the park slowly shift its focus, and if Star Tours doesn’t fit with the rest of the park’s vision, it could be on the chopping block. Star Tours Of course, Disney could also choose to update it rather than remove it. Star Tours has already gone through multiple changes over the years, including one in 2024, adding new scenes to keep up with the latest Star Wars movies. With the franchise continuing to grow, it’s always possible that Disney might decide to give the ride another refresh instead of getting rid of it entirely. But is that enough to justify keeping it around if it doesn’t fit in with the rest of the park? ©Disney One of the biggest questions is, “If Star Tours does go away, what would replace it?” Could we see a new IP take over? Maybe an expansion of another popular franchise? At the moment, the Echo Lake area of Hollywood Studios is kind of feeling a little scattered, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Disney had plans to re-theme that entire space, and with the way things are going, anything feels possible. Star Tours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios For now, though, Star Tours is still operating as usual, and Disney hasn’t given any official word on its fate. But if history has taught us anything, it’s that when big changes start happening around a ride, it’s usually a sign that something could be coming. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for this classic attraction. In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. 14. There’s never a shortage of choices when it comes to food at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, how can you choose what to go with? Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Downtown Disney Anaheim Well here at DFB, we love to keep you updated on all the eats and treats that Disney and beyond have to offer (our stomachs also love to). We just checked out the latest snack from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Downtown Disney, and we’re sharing our thoughts! Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is a cute little stand located in Downtown Disney that sells, you guessed it, corn dogs. We recently stopped by to try their Guacamole Corn Dog, which off the bat sounds and looks delicious! Guac Dog Sign What is it? It’s homemade guacamole coated with tortilla chips, deep fried, and drizzled with savory garlic sauce, served with a bag of chips. Sounds nice, right? And, all this for $10. Wait — a corn dog variation for $10? Let’s see if it’s worth it. Guacamole Corn Dog In all honesty, it was actually a pretty good deal for $10. When you take that first bite you get a nice crunchy texture followed by the warm and soft cornbread. The garlic sauce on top had a decent kick to it. So if you aren’t a fan of spicy things, it might take you by surprise. Guacamole Corn Dog The downside is that inside, there wasn’t as much guac as we thought there’d be. There was a bit of that creamy and refreshing flavor, but the spicy garlic took away from the guac flavor quite a bit. That was a little disappointing but definitely doesn’t make this a bad snack option. So again, if you aren’t a fan of spicy foods, we’d probably advise you to go with something else. Guacamole Corn Dog We’d probably get this again, to be honest! It was a pretty good deal for what you get and it’s a very unique snack. When you hear “corn dog” you probably think of a traditional corn dog, or at least a variation with a hot dog in the center. However, it was a pleasant surprise to be biting down on a corn dog just filled with guac. If you’re in the Downtown Disney area in Anaheim, give this a try. 15. There’s a limited-time FREE snack you can grab at EPCOT now! We’ll take one! (or seven) EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival is now in full swing, and we’re so excited to see it return for another season. We’ve had so much fun eating everything at the outdoor kitchens, seeing the colorful topiaries, and doing all the fun scavenger hunts for exclusive prizes you just can’t do anywhere else at Disney World. But, there was one more thing we’ve got to tell you about and if you time your visit just right, you could score a free snack just for being in the park! Now that EPCOT has turned over a new “leaf” so to speak (read that as a new festival) it’s to usher in some warmer weather. There’s just something about EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival being in full bloom that makes us extra giddy to take a stroll around EPCOT and see all the fun character topiaries, check out the gardens, and pick up a tasty treat or two! Gardens in the CommuniCore Hall But, on select days there’s an extra special offering for adults and kids alike and it’s absolutely FREE! During the festival, EPCOT will be passing out free Uncrustables to visitors walking between World Celebration and World Showcase. These snacks are miniature peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the crusts cut off as the name implies, and are a popular offering around several of Disney World’s quick service restaurants already. If you’re looking to catch this cart when its available, you’ll have to make sure you’re in the right place at the right time to make it happen! Snack cart Cast Members will be handing out complimentary Uncrustables starting around 11 AM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the festival. These are handed out on a first-come, first serve basis at one per person and when we grabbed ours, we had a choice between Grape, Strawberry, and Raspberry flavors of jelly. Free Uncrustables You can find this cart with Cast Members handing out these individually packaged snacks right around the bronze Figment statue along the promenade walk between World Showcase and World Celebration. If you’re having some trouble finding it, you may just be a tad early or they’ve handed all of their supplies out for the day. We’ve seen these free snacks be completely handed out within a matter of minutes so if you’re looking to guarantee yours, you’ll want to be certain that you’re waiting around for the cart to be rolled out and one of the first in line to be able to get a treat. First come, first serve It’s an extremely popular offering for the festival that we’re glad to have seen returned for another year. It certainly helps curb your appetite you’ll work up as you scope out all of the festival’s outdoor kitchen and decide on which festival items you’re up for trying next. 17. Where can you find the BEST Universal Orlando snacks across the parks? Universal Orlando That’s what we are answering! If you’re looking for the greatest snacks to try in all of Universal Orlando this year, then congrats, you’ve made it to the right place! We’ve done the work for you to make your trip to Universal Orlando delicious. Let’s go! Epic Universe We can’t rank Epic Universe lands by their snack selections yet, since it doesn’t open until May 22, 2025. But we can absolutely tell you what we’re looking forward to munching on once we’re finally here! ©Universal In Celestial Park at The Oak & Star Tavern, we can look forward to some hearty barbecue or Pizza Moon. What do you think “Pizza Moon” is gonna specialize in? If you’re in the mood for something more sugary, you’ll be able to swing by Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets. Moon Pizza In the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, there’ll be no shortage of French treats and delights to enjoy here, thanks to the K. Rammelle confectionery. Plus, don’t forget to pick up the iconic Butterbeer from the Bièraubuerre cart. Speaking of Butterbeer… did we mention the Butterbeer Crepe coming? Because it is and we are definitely excited to try this! Butterbeer-Crepe In Super Nintendo World, we’ve already got a pretty good idea of what the Toadstool Cafe is gonna serve up for quick meals and snacks since we’ve already seen two other Toadstool Cafes open up in Universal Japan and Universal Hollywood. Along with Toadstool Cafe, you can pay a visit to The Bubbly Barrel in Donkey Kong Country, which will offer sweet treats and refreshing drinks all inside a gigantic barrel. Yoshi’s Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats will each offer video game-themed “treats, snacks, and beverages,” as well. Mario-Burger ©Universal Orlando Resort In How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, you’ve also got the racing-themed Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel food stand, which will be located near the Viking Training Camp. Thawfest Platter at Mead Hal ©Universal Orlando Resort And FINALLY, over in Dark Universe, the snack-worthy location is gonna be De Lacey’s Cottage — a snack stand that pays tribute to Frankenstein’s Monster — where guests can find monstrous munchies like ice cream, cinnamon bread, twisted taters, and more. ©Universal Orlando Resort Islands of Adventure One of our new favorite things to try at Croissant Moon Bakery is a croffle! A croffle is the Frankenstein monster of croissants and waffles — combined to create something delicious. This snack is tasty and super unique. For something sweet, there’s the cookies and cream croffle — topped with whipped cream, cookie crumbles, and chocolate syrup for $8. For something savory, there’s the pizza croffle — topped with marinara, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni for just $10. Found near the Spider-Man Shop is a snack stand that serves potato knish. This is essentially a flaky pastry filled with mashed potatoes. It certainly has that perfect crunch-to-soft texture ratio with PLENTY of potato filling so you get lots of that pillowy/buttery goodness with each bite. It tends to come with a side of sour cream too for an extra flavor profile to add to the mix! The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Let’s talk about snacks in the Wizarding World, there’s Honeyduke’s — the sweet shop where you can pick up confections straight outta the Harry Potter series: like chocolate frogs, Bertie Bots Every Flavour Beans, fizzing whiz bees, and the likes. There’s also a display case where you can grab other freshly made treats like cauldron cakes and various flavors of fudge. Honeyduke’s Then, you’ve got The Three Broomsticks — which is mostly known for being a quick service location with hearty British pub fare, but you can get a variety of snackier options at this place, too — like butterbeer potted cream, butterbeer ice cream, or maybe even a kids portion of the Fish and Chips. Butterbeer Ice Cream This one is a favorite… over at the Green Eggs and Ham snack window in Seuss Landing, you’ll find some great snacks. The loaded tot varieties here are impressive. There’s a buffalo chicken option, a pizza option, a straight-up green eggs and ham option. Most importantly, there’s a Who Hash option — where you can eat your tots straight outta a Who Hash tin can. While you’d think this would make the white melty cheese, onion, and corn beef toppings pretty unevenly distributed, there are toppings all the way through the can — and not just loaded up at the top. Universal Universal Studios Over in Minions Land has no shortage of novelty snacks. You can find items like… the banana-flavored popcorn from Pop A Nana and specialty Ice Pops from Freeze Ray Pops. While at Minion Cafe you’ll find desserts — like the Fluffy Unicorn Cupcake, the Minion Swiss Roll, and Otto’s Pet Rock. Minion’s Land At Florean Fortescue’s you will find the BEST ice cream in Universal Orlando. Florean specializes in both soft serve and hand-scooped ice cream. And while both are REALLY tasty choices that you can’t really go wrong with, it’s hard to NOT choose the soft serve option simply because of those ribbon swirls that’ll capture the flavor of whatever you’re ordering. Huckleberry ice cream Right outside of Diagon Alley — in front of King’s Cross Station — is where you’ll find the beloved Jacket Potatoes, over at the London Taxi Hut. Here, you can get jacket potatoes topped with Shepherd’s Pie featuring lamb, beef, and an assortment of veggies, broccoli and cheese, or beans and cheese too. But there’s also a secret menu item here that costs LESS than the OTHER options listed on the actual menu. While all the other potatoes cost around $10 each, you can always order a PLAIN baked potato with that soft butter on the side for just over $7 instead. Diagon Alley You can also find Cafe La Bamba inside Hollywood — the Horchata Cuarto Leches Cake is an original item you won’t find anywhere else around the park — made with vanilla cake soaked in horchata and topped with dulce de leche! Cafe La Bamba Central Park Crepes has made-to-order sweet and savory crepes on the menu. Depending on when you visit you might find a seasonal crepe option here as well. In the past, we’ve seen seasonal crepes like… the roasted turkey or the Croque Monsieur. 21. Disney snackers, REJOICE! An iconic Disney World snack has made a triumphant return! Troll Horn We’re constantly watching Disney World change menus with dishes, offerings, and recipes. And while we’ve seen Disney World offer up some of our most beloved snacks and been around long enough to see them disappear from the menus (sometimes indefinitely), it’s a HUGE deal when we get to see them return from an extended hiatus! A fan favorite snack has reappeared in EPCOT and we couldn’t wait to tell you all about it! If you’ve ever had someone mention Disney World to you and your immediate first thought was unforgettable Disney snacks, you’re in good company with us. We’ve seen Disney World snacks come and go from menus for over 15 years now and sometimes when they leave without a return date, these beloved snacks are sorely missed. EPCOT’s World Showcase is certainly one of our favorite places to “snack around the World” when we’re visiting Disney World. EPCOT We’ve been known to rave about the treats at Kringla Bakerie og Kafé in Norway for years, especially over their iconic School Bread. But, that’s not the only pastry that’s been the apple of our eye for some time! Kringla Bakerie og Kafé If you’ve not walked into Kringla Bakerie for sometime special, then you’re missing out. Chances are, you’ve probably walked by it several times over your last few Disney World trips due to its demure storefront but once you step inside, you’re likely to submit to the sweet pastry and coffee smells that fill the air. What’s this? So, on a recent trip out to pick up a treat around EPCOT, we happened to spot one of our favorites return to the menu! We’re so pleased to announce that the Troll Horn has officially returned to Disney World. This little pastry is made of a chocolate cream-filled pastry shell with coffee crunch and you can pick one up for $4.79. Troll Horn And, we couldn’t contain our excitement to see this little guy return! We haven’t seen this in Kringla Bakerie since 2022 reportedly due to a supply issue, so the fact that it’s made a valiant return to the bakerie is really something. So if you’ve yet to try one of these delicious offering, allow us to enlighten you with its goodness. It’s BACK! This flaky pastry horn is adorned with sugar crystals sprinkled all over the outer crunchy crust but the real decadence is on the inside. The sweet chocolate cream that fills the inside is so fluffy and rich and it’s inside of a thicker coating of milk chocolate that only ups the ante with the chocolatey flavor. If you’ve ever wanted the best walkable chocolate pastry, this one easily makes the top of our shortlist. Inside of the horn Plus, for a snack that’s so enjoyable less than $5 at Disney World, we’re considering it a huge win in the budget department! We do have to admit though we didn’t happen to get one on our first go around even though we were in line very close to the bakerie’s opening, however, the Cast Members working behind the pastry counter told us to come back later in the afternoon as they were expecting some more. All that to say, if at first you don’t succeed in getting a Troll Horn, don’t get too discouraged and it’s certainly worth a second trip back to ask! In case it’s not super obvious, we’re thrilled to have the Troll Horn back in our snack arsenal for our next trip out to EPCOT and we’re begging you to try one for yourself on your next visit, too. 23. There are tons of different treats you can get around Disney World. Some are classic, like a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar or a churro, while others are a little more unique. So iconic We love trying all the new snacks that are released around the Disney World parks, but we have to admit, sometimes we see popular snacks outside of the parks and we expect Disney to be the first to jump on the trend. For example, we’ve heard SO much about Dubai Chocolate these past few months, and yet Disney hasn’t released any sort of snack to take advantage of the popularity. If you’re on TikTok often, you’ve probably seen something called Dubai Chocolate go viral in the past few months. However, it actually goes back MUCH further than that! In case you haven’t seen it, we’ll catch you up — a video was posted in 2023 of Dubai Chocolate, actually called a Pistachio Kataifi Chocolate Bar, and it went totally viral (like 6 million likes viral). Since the surge of interest in the treat, many US retailers have begun attempting to make or bring in their own version, like Costco, for example. With it being as popular as it is, we expected Disney to hop on the trend right away…but they haven’t. It’s been months that the treat has been viral, and we haven’t seen Disney release anything new that has a similar flavor profile. ©People However, it’s totally possible that Disney IS working on a similar treat, but they could still be in the testing/creation phase. We could also see a treat pop up at this year’s Food and Wine Festival in EPCOT, which could be a great way to test out a treat that may not be for everything with lesser stakes — instead of buying ingredients to bake and sell large quantities of a new dessert like this in a prominent store, they could place it at a festival booth and see how it does in smaller quantities first to gauge interest. ©Today Show While we’ve seen Disney hop on many similar food trends in the past, as this treat has potentially a smaller interested audience, Disney may also choose to sit this one out due to the cost to get the ingredients, because they’re concerned about allergies, or that there isn’t enough demand for making an entirely new treat like this. Treats in the Main Street Confectionery We’re hoping to see Dubai Chocolate make its way into the parks at some point, since we’d love to try Disney’s version of the snack, but until then, we’ll continue to try all the other new desserts and items that land in the park. 25. Meeting Disney characters has always been one of the most important, and magical parts of a visit to Disney property. In addition to meeting characters in the Disney World theme parks, you can also meet them at the hotels! Hello, Ariel and Eric! However, those visits are sporadic, and they are a surprise. There’s no schedule for when the Character Caravan, as it’s called, will pop up at your resort. But we have big news! Recently, Disney has begun offering scheduled character meet & greets at at least two of Walt Disney World’s hotel properties: The Port Orleans French Quarter Resort and the Wilderness Lodge Resort. Signage for the Port Orleans offering appeared first, indicating that Disney characters (the sign doesn’t specify which characters or how many) will be appearing in the hotel lobby on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM. Character Meet and Greet sign at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Signage at Fort Wilderness appeared soon after, with similar verbiage, advertising character availability on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between 2:30 PM and 3:20 PM. Wilderness Lodge sign This is a huge deal! Now you know when the characters are coming, and chances are, there will be a much shorter line than in the parks! Hey, Mickey! This is a potential game changer announcement in that it means that guests choosing to spend a day at their hotel – – or even some who don’t have park tickets at all – – can meet characters!
