  2. Magic Kingdom is getting a LOT of new stuff right now. In Tomorrowland, a new and updated version of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin recently opened, while a newly updated Big Thunder Mountain Railroad just reopened in Frontierland. Speaking of Frontierland, it’s getting a huge Cars expansion, while a new Villains-themed land is going behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Magic Kingdom Ferryboat Well, Magic Kingdom is also getting some new transportation. We recently reported that a new ferry would be coming to the park, and we now have a NEW updated look at construction on that ferry. However, we’ve also got a look at a retired riverboat just chilling out, perhaps maybe because Disney has future plans for it? Let’s take a look. What’s most exciting about this is that this will be the first new Magic Kingdom ferryboat in over 50 years! The new boat will be named after Meg Gilbert Crofton, who served as President of Disney World and then later as President of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Operations, U.S. and France. Crofton retired in 2015. Here’s a closer look at the new boat. More of the top deck is staged on the left. Stairs will be added where you see those square openings on the boat. @bioreconstruct We also got a new look at the Liberty Belle riverboat that was retired after Disney closed Rivers of America in Magic Kingdom to make way for the Cars expansion in Frontierland. Although her days of cruising Rivers of America are over, she’s just sitting at a dock in the service marina. @bioreconstruct With the Liberty Belle still being around and in one piece, we can’t help but wonder if Disney has future plans for her. Disney has not yet announced anything, but we’ll keep an eye out for details, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 4 New Rules For Magic Kingdom in 2027 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 4. If you’re planning a Disney World vacation for 2027, there are some changes you’ll want to note! Magic Kingdom A lot is happening at Disney World in 2027, and Magic Kingdom will be no different. With ongoing construction for Piston Peak and the new Villains land, construction walls are up, and other rides are going to be closed for refurbishment. If you’re planning to spend time at this Disney World park, you’ll want to follow these new rules. 1. You Might Have to Leave the Park to Mobile Order This is for Mobile Ordering from the Magic Kingdom resorts. Previously, you could use your MyDisney Experience app to place an order for Captn. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort while you were in the park, but that seems to have changed. When we were in Magic Kingdom area recently, we noticed that if we went to try and place a mobile order for one of the surrounding hotels, the following message would pop up. It told us we were too far away to mobile order at Gasparilla Island Grill, Capt. Cook’s, Contempo Cafe, and Geyser Point. Gasparilla Island Grilla So, for right now, this appears just to be the case at the quick service dining spots at Magic Kingdom area hotels, which are Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. However, it’s possible this is a new test Disney is performing, and we could see it expand to other restaurants in the near future. This would mean that you may not be able to order at a location without being physically close by. Capt. Cook’s We’ve had numerous members of our team try it out, and while some aren’t able to order, others are getting through, so it’s also possible it’s a temporary glitch in the system. We do feel it’s important to mention that one of our team members was able to get into the mobile order screen, then updated her app, and the access then went away. Of course, you can still go directly to the restaurant itself and place an order in person. Contempo Cafe 2. You Should Actually Leave the Park In 2027, the Magic Kingdom area will be getting a new resort, and you’re going to want to check it out. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Resort is between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney has confirmed that Lakeshore Lodge will have a dedicated boat dock for transportation between Lakeshore Lodge and Magic Kingdom. ©Disney Not only will guests be able to enjoy the new scenic views at this resort, but there will also be new restaurants, giving them another reason to leave Magic Kingdom. Now, Disney has not announced any details about what restaurants this resort could get, but from the concept art it does appear to have one placed by the lakeside, which would give guests a great view with their meal. As more information is released about this new resort, we will bring it to you! ©Disney 3. Take Advantage of Walk-Up Options Recently, we noticed that the Beak and Barrel was finally added a walk-up list in the My Disney Experience app! This means it would be easier to experience the lounge, which previously required a reservation. Sadly, it was short-lived. Disney quickly removed the option from the app. This leads us to believe that this feature is coming in the future, but it wasn’t quite ready to be launched. We do hope by 2027, this change will be in effect, and we will keep our eyes out for any changes. ©Disney However, this is your reminder to check the walk-up options day of in Magic Kingdom! Restaurants can often have walk-up availability depending on time of day and party size, so it’s always worth checking. At Magic Kingdom, the Plaza Restaurant, The Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Be Our Guest are all listed on the walk-up list, so be sure to check! Be Our Guest 4. Ride the PeopleMover for Your Relaxation Fix The Carousel of Progress is officially closed at Disney World. Disney hasn’t announced an official reopening date but has said to expect a reopening in 2027, so we have a while before we can visit with our favorite family of the past decades. Many guests used this attraction as a relaxing break from the busy crowds and the Florida heat. So now, there will be a new location to get your relaxation on — The PeopleMover. Carousel of Progress This attraction already has many fans who make it a must-do each Disney park day, but now we may see more guests utilizing this ride for a break. This also means we could see wait times for this attraction increase in 2027 until the Carousel of Progress is reopened. PeopleMover As more changes are announced for Magic Kingdom and Disney World in 2027, we will update you so that you are ready for your vacation. 5. One thing about Disney World that can be a little annoying is that so much of the park experience is outdoors, which means you’re exposed to the elements (like random Florida rainstorms) and critters like squirrels, and even the occasional bear. These bees aren’t so bad But one little particular group of critters has been causing problems FOR YEARS because these critters have a serious sweet tooth. Yep, we’re talking about bees, and well, the bees are back in Disney World and causing problems with your coffee order. We recently visited Magic Kingdom and noticed that Joffrey’s Revive, which is an outdoor coffee kiosk, had a familiar sign up on its counter. The sign reads: “Bee-ware: Syrups and sauces are temporarily unavailable to reduce the attraction of bees to this location.” Yep, the bees are creating chaos at one of our favorite coffee kiosks. The sign also indicated that the kiosk was serving a limited menu. For now, all you can get there is drip coffee, plain lattes, cappuccino, and plain cold brews. This is to keep the bees from swarming all over the kiosk. You see, those bees are drawn to the sugar in the syrups and sauces. This might seem a little ridiculous, but they can get BAD and get into the drinks…and well, you get the photo. Save the bees! But keep them away from coffee. One of the EPCOT bees The bees have also caused chaos during the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, but then again, the festival’s unofficial mascot is Spike the Bee! Yep, bees are a hot topic in Disney World. However, they can cause problems throughout the year. Spike the Bee Sipper If you’re looking for coffee with syrups and sauces in Magic Kingdom, you’ll probably just want to hit up Starbucks at Main Street Bakery, which is indoors and free of bees. Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom We’ll keep an eye on this un-BEE-lievable situation and keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 6. We’re less than a month away from the start of spooky season in Disney World, and while that feels far too early for many people, we’re looking forward to seeing all the Halloween decorations again! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! August also means the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which is really what will kick off the season. This year, the exclusive, ticketed, after-hours event takes place on select nights from August 7th through October 31st, and we’re looking forward to it just as much as you are. If you’re on the fence about going, though, we get it. It’s a lot of extra money to spend, and you really only get five hours in the park. Is it worth it? Let’s break down what you can REALLY do in five hours at the party. Arrive Early While the party itself doesn’t start until 7 PM, party guests can enter the park as early as 4 PM, giving you THREE extra hours of park time. This is key to making sure you can accomplish everything you want to, because even though everyone’s priorities are different, achieving all you want to in five hours is almost always incredibly stressful. Adding those three extra hours brings you up to eight hours, though it’s important to note that party-exclusive offerings won’t become available until the party starts. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party If merchandise is high on your list, we recommend getting in line at The Emporium right when you enter the park, especially if you’re looking at any limited-edition merchandise that may sell out soon. Last year, there were multiple party-exclusive pins, but the majority of them sold out in the first few hours each night. Bride Pin If merchandise isn’t high on your list, but you and/or your group have dressed up, we also recommend taking the daylight time to take photos. Yes, the park will be far from empty, but as night falls, the lighting won’t be as opportune to grab those great photos. Take half an hour to take whatever photos you’d like around the park, and know you’re set for your social media posts. The Hundred Acre Woods Crew! Additionally, it can be a good idea to start riding a few attractions that aren’t at super high waits. Not everything is open during the party, but the majority of rides are, so don’t get in line for anything that you know is about to drop drastically in a few hours. FULL LIST of Dates to AVOID Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom in 2026 Hit The Food First The party-exclusive eats and drinks won’t become available until 7 PM, but many of these spots close earlier in the night than you may expect, or they’ve run out of their party offerings in the past. With that in mind, we suggest making food one of the FIRST things you do during your party night. Mummy Treat Mobile order wait times have also gotten very long in prior years, especially around the middle of the party, so it’s great to place those mobile orders in advance to be prepared. The last thing you want is to be really looking forward to an offering, only to find that it has sold out, or the spot closed an hour before the party ends (yes, that’s happened to us). On the flip side, we don’t recommend prioritizing hitting the candy stations at any particular time of the night, because they WILL be around from 7 PM to 12 AM. Minnie’s Pumpkin Cheesecake CONFIRMED: This Exclusive Perk Is Coming Back to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026 Special Ride Overlays Rides that have special overlays for the season are going to be slightly more sought after than others, just because they are indeed party-exclusive. If riding rides with lower waits is a big priority for you, we recommend putting these at the top of your list, since they’re only around this time of year. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Halloween overlay However, we recommend you wait until the regular park guests are DEFINITELY out of the ride lines before you really start looking at how far those wait times are going to drop (we suggest no earlier than 8 PM). Otherwise, some of the longer lines may be that way due to regular park guests having gotten in line right at 6 PM, before non-party guests have to leave the park. Disney’s rule is that if you’re in line before the park closes (in this case, again, that’s 6 PM for non-party guests), you can stay in line, and that will affect party wait times for about the first hour. Space Mountain Every SOLD OUT Date For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Meet and Greets Another big draw of the party is the fact that you can meet tons of your favorite Disney characters that you don’t often get to see in the parks, such as Jack Skellington and Sally, as well as the Hundred Acre Woods gang in their Halloween costumes. If these are important to you, we also recommend prioritizing these closer to when the party starts at 7 PM. Jack Skellington and Sally at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Their lines are known for getting quite long, and the characters also aren’t around as often later on into the night. The last thing you want is to save a meet and greet for last, only to find that it’s already closed. Goofy and Daisy Now, it’s important to note that everyone’s priorities at the party are going to be different, and that’s why there are so many offerings available! Those traveling with young kids may want to focus on meet and greets and the dance parties, whereas a couple traveling together may instead choose to focus on the special eats and the shows available. There’s no wrong way to do the party, but we do strongly suggest doing research on the offerings ahead of time, so you know what’s most important to you. 7. We will scream it from the rooftops because we don’t care who knows it: we LOVE ice cream. We’ve eaten tons and tons of cones, bowls, sundaes, bars, and anything else you can imagine all around Disney World, and when a new ice cream drops, we know exactly where we are going. ICE CREAM! This time, we’re heading to Anandapur Ice Cream Truck in Animal Kingdom. Don’t worry, you won’t have to chase down the ice cream truck to grab this treat; this snack stand is always here and packed with delicious treats for a hot day. We grabbed the Motonnui Ube Sundae for $7.29, which is ube soft-serve with tropical fruits, coconut, raspberry crumbs, and macadamia. Motonui Ube Sundae Now THIS was a hit. We loved the ube ice cream, which was very smooth and had an incredibly deep flavor. The pieces of fruit were firm instead of soft and mushy, which added some really nice texture. The color is awesome! The coconut was not toasted, but it still had some crunch and added a bit of freshness. This is one of the more unique ice cream treats we’ve had, and we hope they keep it around for a long time because it was that good. Animal Kingdom often feels like the hottest park, and it’s hard to walk around without ice cream in hand, so if you’re looking for an option outside of the traditional Mickey bar (which we love too, by the way), this can be a lot of fun if you’re looking for something out of the box. Gorgeous and delicious While you’re at Anadapur Ice Cream Truck, there are a few other treats we love, too. You can grab the Yeti Sundae, which is chocolate and vanilla soft serve with blue cake crumbs, sugar, and chocolate, which is perfect for those who love a cute snack but prefer more traditional flavors. Yeti Sundae You can also grab a Hand-dipped Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar with freeze-dried Skittles for something wild! Mickey Premium Bar with Freeze-Dried Skittles We just love the snacks in Animal Kingdom so much, and this ube sundae is no exception. We love that it’s celebrating one of our favorite princesses, too! Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more of the best snack reviews so you know where you should stop on your next Disney World trip. 8. Halloween fun is brewing with a new collection starring Mickey and Friends, and we have your first look today at the pumpkin-perfect products you can find as part of the new Mickey Family Halloween Collection, launching July 27 on DisneyStore.com with select items coming soon to Disney Parks. From plush and clothing to collectibles and home decor, these family-friendly finds are full of festive frights and delights. You’ll discover happy haunts, sweet treats, playful costumes, and lots of Mickey Mouse pumpkins, all inspired by the not-so-scary spirit of a Disney Parks Halloween and created for every member of your boo crew. Toys and Plush Disney Halloween Countdown Calendar Figurine Set This chilling countdown calendar combines some of my favorite things: mystery boxes and Halloween at Disney. For the final 13 days leading up to October 31, open one of the “windows” in this fun themed box to reveal a different surprise figure. Classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Donald Duck, Stitch, and even the Magic Brooms from Disney’s Fantasia are dressed up for the spooky celebrations. Mickey Mouse Halloween Light-Up Bubble Wand A Disney Parks day is not complete without a bubble wand, and this one adds a perfect pop of festive fun! Mickey is dressed as a vampire and sits atop a bright orange pumpkin, with “Happy Halloween” printed on the handle. If you look closely, you’ll even find small symbols like bats, spiderwebs, and candy – it’s all in the details. You can turn on just the light-up feature, or activate the light and pumpkin spice-scented bubbles at the same time to be extra festive. Chip and Dale Halloween Urupocha-Chan Plush – Disney Store Japan If you’ve been following along with our international merchandise updates, you’ve probably become obsessed with the teeny tiny Urupocha-Chan Plush. These cuties are getting a Halloween makeover, and you can soon find Chip ‘n’ Dale gearing up for some shenanigans. Wearing witch hats and plush pumpkins as a disguise, these two are ready to enjoy lots of treats (and probably some tricks, too). Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Halloween 2026 Plush I love purchasing plush to commemorate holidays and milestones, and these Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Halloween designs are a must-have! While the sight of a skeleton is usually something that chills you to the bone (get it?), these sweet plush are a not-so-scary selection. Mickey’s look is topped off with an orange bowtie, and Minnie is donning a mesh skirt and pumpkin hair bow – fashion inspo, anyone? Both have “2026” embroidered on their foot, and are exclusive to Disney Store. Mickey Mouse ”My First Halloween 2026” Plush for Baby Looking for the perfect keepsake for the newest members of your pumpkin patch? Celebrate baby’s first Halloween with this precious Mickey Mouse plush, outfitted in a commemorative bib and soft pumpkin-themed shell costume. This happy and huggable friend will bring smiles to all this spooky season. Stitch Halloween Plush Can’t get enough of Experiment 626? We first revealed this item in our Halfway to Halloween merchandise shriek peek, and the Stitch plush seemed to be quite a sensation! You’ll go batty for his vampire costume, complete with a winged cape and 3D ears, so he is carefully concealed for some moonlight mischief. And if you want to bring him along with you, the plush comes in bag charm form as well! Winnie the Pooh Plush Halloween Countdown Calendar If the spooky suspense of counting down to Halloween is already killing you, this Winnie the Pooh plush presents a fun way to keep track of the days. The silly old bear has transformed himself into a pumpkin, with 13 pockets on his costume marked with dates, and a soft bee marker meant to slip into each slot. There will be even more product starring Pooh Bear and friends debuting later this season, so be sure to bookmark DisneyStore.com! Shoes, Spirit Jerseys, and More Apparel Donald Duck Halloween Candy T-Shirt for Adults Donald Duck is always up to something, and this tee depicts the fiery feathered friend seemingly fighting with his sack of Halloween sweets, while dressed for the occasion. We hope it’s gourd vibes only for him from here on out, and that your candy collecting efforts are a smoother success. Halloween Pajamas After you’ve collected all your candy and made the most of this year’s Halloween festivities, the whole family can get comfy with these printed pajama sets. The Mickey Mouse Halloween PJ PALS for Kids is a cozy set with a long sleeve shirt and joggers, and adults can coordinate in the charming Mickey and Minnie Mouse Halloween Sleep Set. Both have an all-over pattern that includes ghosts, black cats, and the iconic Mickey pumpkin. Mickey and Minnie Mouse ”Happy Halloween” Spirit Jersey for Adults I’m sure we have some spirit jersey collectors reading this, and of course there’s something for you in this assortment. A Mickey Mouse pumpkin is pictured on the front and “Happy Halloween” looms across the back in bold lettering, with accents like cheeky ghosts and cheerful treats. Build your entire ‘fit around this piece, bring it in your bag to throw on when it gets chilly at night, or anything in between. It comes in both a dark wash and cream color, so you can pick your poison. Mickey and Minnie Mouse ”Happy Halloween” T-Shirt for Women Love a classic castle moment? This cream-colored women’s tee is a cute choice as you’re assembling your autumnal attire. The design features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse enjoying some frightful fun, surrounded by a spooky scene with an orange-hued castle and embroidered “Happy Halloween” message. Mickey Mouse Halloween Clogs for Adults by Crocs Calling all Crocs lovers! These new Halloween clogs will have you looking your boo-tiful best as you embark on some autumnal adventures like hayrides, haunted houses, and of course, a day at Disney Parks. Mickey Mouse pumpkins adorn the heel pivots and toes of these shoes, with an allover dark webbed pattern that is sure to raise your spirits. Kids can grab the youth sizes so the whole family can match, and even coordinate with the matching light-up Jibbitz. Mickey Mouse Halloween Hockey Jersey for Adults This hockey jersey was another one of my favorite items in our shriek peek post, and I’m already plotting the outfits I can put together with this piece. The oversized fit combined with the creepy color palette, Mickey pumpkins, and hockey-themed detailing makes this feel like such a unique item to add to your wardrobe this Halloween season. Mickey Mouse Halloween Socks for Adults I’m always impressed when I see people styling outfits at Disney Parks and paying attention to all the little details, and these Halloween socks will have you feeling harvest ready. The orange accents with an embroidered appliqué of a Mickey Mouse pumpkin is a small and subtle way to show off your spooky spirit. Accessories Mickey and Minnie Mouse Halloween Glow Necklace Light up the night with this flashing glow necklace! The string of lights displays Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in pumpkin form alongside Halloween treats for some sugary style. It’s a sweet addition to your eerie ensemble, great for keeping away the ghouls and goblins that may come out in the dark. Mickey and Minnie Mouse Jack-o’-Lanterns Halloween MagicBand+ – Limited Release MagicBand+ helps your Disney Parks vacation feel like a scream come true, and this Halloween design is wickedly wonderful. The artwork features Mickey and Minnie Mouse as pumpkins, and the band reacts to select park interactions with lighting effects and gesture recognition for even more magic as you explore and engage with your spellbinding surroundings. Mickey Mouse Halloween Wristlet Set I always find it helpful on a Disney Parks day to downsize my normally overflowing wallet to something a bit smaller, and this wristlet set is a scarily stylish selection! ”Sweet & Spooky” is the slogan that adorns the strap, with two different coin purses clipped onto the end to help you store your essentials for every moment. Mickey Mouse Jack-o’-Lantern Treat Bucket The Mickey Mouse Jack-o’-Lantern Bucket is full of candy-coated cuteness (and hopefully soon lots of actual candy). The smiling Mickey Mouse pumpkin with an easy carrying handle is very trick-or-treat chic, and I can totally see myself using this as a purse for my Halloween ‘fit checks at Disneyland. Home Decor and Collectibles Mickey Mouse and Friends Halloween Mug Sip on your morning cup of joe, a warm apple cider, or whimsical witch’s brew with this Mickey and Friends Halloween Mug. The dual-sided design features a Mickey Mouse pumpkin with wishes for a Happy Halloween on one section, with characters celebrating All Hallows’ Eve in front of the Fantasyland Castle on the other. Mickey Mouse Jack-o’-Lantern Stoneware Halloween Candy Bowl Halloween candy is obviously a highlight of the season, and this bowl will help you store your sweets and boo-tify your space – whether it be your desk, kitchen counter, front porch for the trick-or-treaters, or somewhere hidden away to prevent anyone from stealing your stash. The glazed stoneware bowl is a bewitching orange color, meant to look like a grinning Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern. Minnie Mouse as Witch Halloween Mini Figure For the perfect way to spirit up your space, may I suggest this Minnie Mouse witch mini figure? The small size makes it ideal for setting up on a windowsill, bookshelf, or as part of whatever Halloween scene you are creating. The fully-sculpted mini figurine places Minnie next to a decorated lamppost on Main Street U.S.A., costumed in her bewitching best as she sets off for a festive Disney Parks adventure. Mickey Mouse and Friends Halloween Fleece Throw Cast a cozy spell with this Halloween fleece throw, featuring Mickey and Friends enjoying a spirited Disney Parks outing. The fuzzy material keeps the chills away as you’re watching scary movies, setting up by a bonfire outside, or just searching for ways to stay warm as the seasons begin to change. Mickey Mouse Halloween Light-Up Wreath My childhood homes always had some sort of festive wreath on the front door to acknowledge the season we were in, and this Halloween light-up wreath is certain to make your house a happy haunt. Directly inspired by the wreaths that we use to decorate Disney Parks, the centerpiece of the design is a luminous molded Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern surrounded by sunflowers, leaves, and gourds. Mickey and Minnie Mouse Disney Parks Halloween Mini Monorail The monorail system at Walt Disney World seems to have its own fanbase, and this mini model is perfect if you’re a dedicated rider. The exterior has been wrapped in a vibrant “Happy Halloween” banner, and for a frightful finishing touch? A jack-o’-lantern mouse ear headband! The Mickey Family Halloween Collection has certainly set the gourd standard for spooky season merchandise, but there’s still even more to come! Be sure to pick your favorites when these items land on DisneyStore.com and select shopping destinations within Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort starting July 27. 9. When we’re craving a tropical snack, meal, or drink at Magic Kingdom, we almost always hop on the monorail and head to Disney’s Polynesian Resort for island cuisine on the beach. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort But the Polynesian has had a LOT of construction recently. Right now, the Grand Ceremonial House, Tiki Terrace, and Wailulu Bar & Grill are going through major refurbishments. But two of these updates just got postponed! Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace used to be one of our favorite spots to grab a drink at the Polynesian, but it unexpectedly closed in April with no reopening date in sight. Disney recently announced that Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace will finish refurbishment on an unspecified date in October. That’s a six-month-long closure! Polynesian construction Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is temporarily closed due to refurbishment work at the Grand Ceremonial House. The Grand Ceremonial House is the main building of the Polynesian Village Resort, housing the lobby and multiple restaurants, which is currently undergoing an extensive exterior refurbishment until October. If you’re headed to the resort, you’ll likely hear construction noise and may need to take alternate routes. Closed for now But that’s not the only refurb, either. If you head to the resort’s new Island Tower, you’ll also find that a popular restaurant is under construction. Wailulu Bar & Grill is having extensive work done on the roof, and while it was supposed to end in June, it’s still ongoing as of July 19th. Wailulu Construction Wailulu Bar & Grill will remain open during the refurbishment, but with some major changes. The bar will only offer walk-up service every day until 5 PM, and seating will only be available at dinner from 5 PM through close until construction is done. Wailulu sampler Disney hasn’t yet announced any specific reopening dates for these spots. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World construction updates! 13. Well, this might be some of the best movie news EVER! Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are talks about a live-action Princess and the Frog, and if this is true, we’re going to be singing “Dig a Little Deeper” all day long. Colman Domingo said he is in talks to co-write an original live-action film featuring Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. Eek! Domingo will co-write alongside Tony-nominated director Robert O’Hara. While deals have not been closed yet, it is not being described as a live-action remake of The Princess and the Frog but more as an original story inspired by the cartoon. ©The Hollywood Reporter The original movie came out in 2009, so this news is coming about 17 years later. Disney has been very into live-action movie remakes lately, and while some have been total hits, others have been misses. Lilo & Stitch earned a record-breaking $183 million four-day opening weekend domestically but… ©Disney …Snow White, which was released the same year, only had a $42.2 million opening. Lilo & Stitch is already working on a sequel as well, while others did not feel as strongly about Snow White. ©Disney Moana just hit the theaters recently as well, with mixed reviews. Some are happy to see their favorite princess on the big screen, while others criticize the acting and details. ©Disney Domingo has worked on some incredible projects, including Michael, Disclosure Day, The Four Seasons, and Euphoria. When discussing his acting career with The Hollywood Reporter, he said, “Maybe it’s because I’m sort of leaning into the third act of my career. For a long time, as artists, we’re in the ‘planting seeds’ phase. I feel like I’m in an incredible harvest period.” Festival of Fantasy Parade There was supposed to be a cartoon based on Princess Tiana, called Tiana, that was announced in 2020 as a “long-form musical comedy” and featured Anika Noni Rose reprising her role as Tiana as she “sets off for a grand adventure as the newly crowned Princess of Maldonia, but a calling to her New Orleans past isn’t far behind.” The Hollywood Reporter announced that the show has been officially canceled on Disney+ because the company wants to focus more on theatrical movie releases. ©Disney Would you want a live-action Princess Tiana movie? 14. Growing up in Florida, how could I ever forget the feeling of driving through the iconic Walt Disney World arch? This summer I got to relive that magic by bringing my cousins, Asher, 9, and Noah, 5, for their very first visit to Walt Disney World during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. A Cool KIDS’ SUMMER Welcome at Disney’s Pop Century Resort Upon arrival, we checked into our rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort – that is, right after the kids spotted six-seven as we walked in. Obviously, we had to get a picture. A Value Resort was the perfect fit for our family, with convenient transportation options and vibrant, kid-friendly places to eat and play just steps away from our room. The classic Disney theming, blast-from-the-past décor, and helpful cast members added to the experience. In addition to the great year-round fun at Pop Century, my cousins were thrilled to participate in the activities designed for kids of all ages this summer, right at the resort. When we arrived, the kids were even welcomed with complimentary Cool KIDS’ SUMMER themed drawstring bags. Who doesn’t love a present upon arrival? Enjoying the Summer Perks – from Free Water Slides to PJ Parties After settling in, we made the most of the free water park admission on check-in day for Disney Resort hotel guests with a trip to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. The boys had a blast, and the free Disney bus transportation made getting there easy. With endless kid energy, the day didn’t stop there. After a quick change at the hotel, it was time for the Cool KIDS’ SUMMER pajama party, my personal Pop Century highlight. While Noah colored and Asher tuned into a classic Disney movie right in the lobby, my aunt and uncle had the chance to sit back and relax after a full travel day. To top it all off, the kids got to meet Mickey Mouse for the very first time, and he was in his pajamas. How cute is that! After getting the wiggles out at the pajama party and filling up with some delicious food at Everything Pop! for dinner (tie-dye cheesecake was a 10 out of 10), the kids were ready to get tucked into bed, because when they woke up, we were going to Disney World! Park Day 1: Disney’s Hollywood Studios In a Galaxy Far, Far Away… The next morning, we walked right onto the Disney Skyliner which carried us from our resort right to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. My five-year-old cousin Noah was so excited because he is all about Star Wars, so naturally we spent most of the day at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Asher and Noah braved all the Star Wars rides, including Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, now featuring a new adventure with The Mandalorian and Grogu! This was the kids’ favorite, largely due to its interactive nature (they both took on the mission as gunners). As for me, I’m primarily a fan of the adorable Grogu, so I loved seeing these new additions, too. After Star Tours, the boys had one more Star Wars dream for their visit: to build their own lightsabers. A friendly cast member at Tattooine Traders guided both boys as they built custom lightsabers that will forever remind them of this day. It’s the Little Things! Kids really do love the small moments. Asher and Noah didn’t need one big ride after another to be entertained. Some of the most special moments came from walk-up shows and simply spotting details around the park (special shoutout to the ducks). We wrapped up our visit with a show, and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! was an exciting end to the day for two adventurous little boys. The Skyliner ride back to the hotel was spent recounting the rides the boys braved and the wonderful first park day for the family. Park Day 2: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Our second park day took us to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I had a feeling the kids would enjoy this park, as we’re all nature lovers. From the second we entered, the kids were wide-eyed and ready to become Wilderness Explorers (no, really, you can become an honorary Wilderness Explorer… Caw! Caw! Roar!). The Wilderness Must Be Explored! This free activity is a unique way to see the park, and you even learn about nature as you go. After more helpful cast member tips on exploring, the kids led the way in search of badge stickers to place in their books. Though they didn’t finish their books in one day, they were thrilled to collect more than 20 badges each! Noah even begged to keep going as we wrapped up our visit later that day, before he promptly fell asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel. Looks like we’ll have to come back for more adventures. Animal Encounters from the African Savanna to the Australian Outback Between collecting badges and learning about conservation, we experienced several kid-friendly attractions including Kilimanjaro Safaris and the Feathered Friends in Flight! show. Both experiences were a great way to slow down and enjoy the park together. Before wrapping up our day, we hopped on the train to Conservation Station to collect more conservation badges. Asher was determined to find his favorite animal, the gecko, and he did! We also got a first look at the wallabies and kangaroos at Jumping Junction, including a joey hanging out in its mother’s pouch! The adorable Bluey touches sprinkled throughout were the cherry on top of this area. Going in the later afternoon, Conservation Station was a great place to unwind where the kids could learn and play in an air-conditioned space. The Magic of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER From our arrival at Pop Century to our days at the theme parks, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER brought an extra layer of fun to every part of our weekend. These special summer touches add moments of discovery, excitement, and connection that families remember long after the trip is over. For Asher, Noah, and the rest of the family, this is just the beginning of their Disney story. And for me, it was a nostalgic reminder of how it felt experiencing those first moments of Disney magic all over again. Moments like these, getting to share the magic of Disney with the children in my life, are why I’m so thankful to be a Disney cast member. 20. Planning a trip to Disney World can be stressful, and you don’t need any more stress added to your plate once you get there, which is why you’ve probably already read over the “prohibited items” list several times just to be sure. Disney’s Hollywood Studios And because you were doing that, you might have missed some things that AREN’T on that list that you actually can bring to the parks! It may seem illegal to bring these things, but trust me, it’s perfectly fine and can actually save you some time and hassle during your park day! Outside Food & Drink One of the best money-saving tips for your Disney World vacation is to bring your own food and drinks from home. Theme park food can get very expensive, so if you’re okay with skipping out on some of the more iconic or adventurous Disney foods, you’re allowed to bring your own sandwiches, sports drinks, snacks, and more! Bring your chips! However, there are a couple of rules when it comes to bringing your own food — you cannot bring glass jars (unless it is baby food, that’s okay), and bringing alcohol is prohibited (unless you are bringing your own wine to select Disney Springs restaurants where corkage fees will apply). Disney Springs REVIEW: The Best Disney Popcorn Is HIDING at Disney Springs Water Bottles Along with bringing your own food and drinks, you can also bring your own water bottles, and we HIGHLY recommend you do! Around the parks and resorts, you can find refillable water stations with filtered water, so you’ll be hydrated wherever you go. Many quick-service restaurants also offer free cups of ice water if you ask, so not only will you be hydrated, but you’ll also be able to stay nice and cool. Ariel Owala Water Bottle I’m A Soda Goblin. Here’s What I Always Bring to Disney World Ice And if you’re bringing your own food and drinks, you’re going to need a way to keep them cold. You won’t be able to fill up a Disney merchandise bag with ice and bring it with you — loose ice is not allowed. But what you can do is fill up a resealable bag with ice and use it throughout the day. You can also bring two water bottles to the park — one for ice and one for drinking! Ice Machine This Disney World “Hack” Is Like Throwing $22 in the Trash Coolers & Cooler Bags And, of course, you’re going to need a place to carry all of your food, drinks, and ice, which is why you should bring a cooler! You won’t be able to bring a large cooler for a family of 12, but what you can bring is a smaller one that can even fit on your back like a backpack! 22. Your hands are full, your kid needs to use the bathroom, and your Disney World Resort Refillable Mug is somehow always in the way. Disney World Resort Refillable Mug If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, you know that mug becomes a permanent fixture of your park day, and juggling it alongside strollers, snacks, and souvenirs gets old fast. Small annoyances like this can chip away at an otherwise magical vacation, especially when you’re trying to move quickly between rides or grab a quick refill before the parade crowds hit. Luckily, there are a few simple tools seasoned Disney World visitors rely on to make trips smoother, and this one is a total game changer for anyone using the Dining Plan mug. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. The One Thing That Keeps Your Hands Free All Day Anyone who’s done a Disney trip with the Dining Plan knows the drill. You get your Refillable Resort Mug, you’re thrilled about the unlimited drinks, and then reality sets in. That mug has a handle, which means it doesn’t fit neatly into a backpack side pocket, and you end up either carrying it around all day or setting it down somewhere and hoping you remember to grab it before you leave. Parents especially end up as the designated mug holder for the whole family, on top of everything else they’re already carrying through the parks. That’s where the Dining Plan Refillable Mug Holder Sling comes in. ©Amazon It’s a small, lightweight holder that straps right onto your mug, so you’re not stuck carrying it in your hand for hours on end. The adjustable strap means it works for both kids and adults, so everyone in your group can carry their own mug without complaint. It also leaves more room on your tray at the quick service spots and helps prevent that awkward moment where your mug tips over right as you sit down to eat. ©Amazon One of the more convenient details is the RFID compatibility, which means you can refill your mug at the beverage station without even taking it out of the sling. That’s the kind of small convenience that makes a real difference by day three of your trip. Reviewers give it more than four stars, and at $15 for a pack of two, it’s an easy addition to your packing list. ©Amazon If you’ve ever found yourself annoyed at having to hold that mug through an entire meal or across the park, this is worth adding to your cart before your next trip. view ON amazon Disney World trips are full of little logistical hurdles, and honestly, most of them come down to keeping your hands free and your day moving. The mug sling is one of those accessories that doesn’t look like much until you’re actually using it, and then you wonder how you ever did a park day without it. It’s the kind of practical upgrade that doesn’t cost much but saves you real hassle, especially on multi-day trips where every bit of convenience adds up. 24. Disney World vacations have a way of knocking your normal routine sideways. Animal Kingdom You are waking up earlier, eating more expensive food, drinking less water than you think, and trying to accomplish 17 things before lunch. Your body, meanwhile, is still waiting for its usual coffee, breakfast, and quiet moment at home. All of these things can affect how your body reacts, which is why today, we’re talking about bathrooms! Changes in routine, stress, dehydration, unfamiliar foods, and ignoring the urge to use the bathroom can all affect your digestive system while traveling. It is common, uncomfortable, and considerably less magical than anything else you planned for the week. We’ve got eight simple ways to keep your Disney World trip moving in every sense of the word. Keep Part of Your Normal Routine Your vacation schedule probably will not resemble your schedule at home. At Disney World, morning routine can quickly become put on ears and sprint toward transportation. Depending on where you’re traveling from, you may even be dealing with some time zone changes, throwing things off even more! Still, try to preserve one or two familiar habits. Don’t just rush to the first bus in the morning. Eat around the same time. Drink your usual morning beverage. Give yourself a few quiet minutes before leaving the room. If your body is accustomed to having time at home after breakfast, waking up slightly earlier may be better than hoping everything sorts itself out somewhere between Space Mountain and lunch. Your digestive system appreciates a schedule, even when the rest of you is operating on Lightning Lane time. It’s Official: ALL Disney Bathrooms Need This New Feature Drink Water It is very easy to become mildly dehydrated at Disney World, particularly in hot, humid weather. You leave the room with coffee. You grab a soda with lunch. Then, sometime around 4 PM, you realize the only water you have consumed came from the ice melting in your drink. Staying hydrated helps keep stool softer, and water becomes especially important when you are also increasing your fiber intake. Keep an eye out for free water Bring a refillable bottle and drink throughout the day instead of trying to repair the situation with one heroic bottle of water before bed. Electrolyte drinks may also be useful when you are sweating heavily, though they should not completely replace regular water unless a medical professional has advised otherwise. Consider hydration part of your park strategy, right alongside sunscreen and knowing where the nearest snack stand is located. IYKYK: Why EPCOT Experts Go to THIS Restaurant for the Best Free Water Balance the Snacks with Something Useful Disney World offers many opportunities to consume cheese, fried food, cupcakes, and items containing enough butter to make a French chef nod approvingly. Enjoy them. This is vacation. Just try to include a few fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, or whole grains along the way. Apples, berries, oatmeal, whole-grain bread, vegetables, and similar foods can add fiber without turning lunch into a wellness retreat. Fruit stand Fiber helps keep things moving, but adding a lot all at once can leave you feeling uncomfortable. Ease into it and drink plenty of water so it can do its job. In other words, do not spend five days eating mostly chicken nuggets and then panic-eat an entire container of bran cereal. Your digestive system has already endured enough plot twists. The Biggest Snack Trends You’ll See at Disney World Restaurants in 2027 Give Breakfast a Chance to Work Its Magic Many people find that eating breakfast, drinking something warm, or having their normal cup of coffee helps get things moving. That does not mean you need an enormous breakfast every morning. A smaller meal with fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, or whole grains may be enough to maintain your usual rhythm. Coffee The important part is allowing time for breakfast to happen before you start powerwalking toward a bus stop. Food and warm drinks can stimulate the urge to use the bathroom, and rushing out immediately may cause you to ignore that window. This is also an excellent argument for sitting down with your coffee instead of drinking it while trying to apply sunscreen, locate a missing MagicBand, and referee an argument about who gets to push the elevator button. These Are the 13 Best Coffee Spots in Disney World – From Magic Kingdom to Riviera Resort Walking Keeps Things Moving The good news is that Disney World supplies plenty of physical activity. Walking can help encourage normal digestive movement, and regular physical activity is commonly recommended for preventing and relieving constipation. The less-good news is that guests sometimes ignore the urge to use the bathroom because they are in line, racing to a reservation, or convinced they can wait until they return to the hotel. Try not to do that. Justice for Eugene and Rapunzel You may not want to pause your park day but holding it repeatedly can make constipation worse. Use the restroom when your body gives you the notification. This is one alert you should not swipe away. And yes, sometimes that means telling the group to go ahead while you visit the Tangled restrooms. At least the surroundings are charming. A MAJOR Game-Changer Is Rolling Out at Disney World Bathrooms Set Expectations for Shared Bathrooms Sharing a hotel room means sharing a bathroom. This fact somehow surprises people every morning. You do not need to hold a formal family meeting with printed agendas, but it helps to acknowledge that everyone may occasionally need privacy and time. Bay Lake Tower bathroom Turn on the television or some music. Send your partner to refill the resort mugs. Take the kids for a walk around the building. Agree that nobody will pound on the door after 90 seconds unless there is an actual emergency. Bathroom to the right of the kitchen Some travelers also prefer using a restroom in the resort lobby or another common area when they want additional privacy. The goal is to remove some of the pressure. Feeling rushed or self-conscious will not make the process easier, particularly when four people are sharing one bathroom, and someone keeps yelling that they need their toothbrush. BREAKING BATHROOM NEWS: This Disney Change Will Make Your Trip 10x Easier Pack the Right Kind of Backup With a family sharing one bathroom, you’re likely to run into an unpleasant fact: bathroom odors. A small toilet deodorizing spray is an easy and clean way for a Disney hotel room to stay fresh. Look for a travel-size bottle that can remain in your toiletry bag and use it according to the directions. Shower and toilet You could also run the bathroom fan when one is available or turn on the room television for a little sound coverage. Nobody needs to be embarrassed about using the bathroom. Still, a pocket-size deodorizing spray can preserve a little mystery between you and the people you love. Fans Are Loving This Unexpected Disney World Bathroom News Think Ahead About Medications Some travelers pack fiber supplements, stool softeners, or over-the-counter laxatives. That may be appropriate for certain people, but a Disney vacation is not the ideal time to begin conducting digestive experiments. Before taking any medication or supplement, review the label carefully. Follow the listed instructions and warnings, and consult a health care professional or pharmacist when necessary, particularly if you take other medications, have an existing medical condition, are pregnant, or are choosing something for a child. EPCOT Restroom Different constipation products work in different ways, and stimulant laxatives are generally reserved for more severe constipation or cases where other approaches have not worked. Even products sold without a prescription can cause side effects or interact with other medications. Do not copy a dosage from a stranger online. Do not take several products together unless a medical professional has told you to do so. And do not wait until 10 minutes before boarding Guardians of the Galaxy to discover how your chosen product affects you. Will Disney World Finally Fix This Awkward Bathroom Problem in Its New Park Expansion?! A Little Planning Can Save the Day Bathroom problems may not be the most glamorous part of Disney vacation planning, but neither are blisters, sunburn, or realizing you forgot to pack underwear. We discuss those because preparation helps. Drink water. Eat something with fiber. Keep a little of your normal routine. Give yourself time, privacy, and permission to stop when you need a bathroom. And pack the deodorizing spray. Tub and toilet Your Disney World vacation should include memorable meals, excellent snacks, and perhaps a suspicious number of Mickey-shaped desserts. It should not include spending three days waiting for your digestive system to exit vacation mode. 25. There’s a NEW dining location coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, and we’re chomping at the bit to check it out! Disney’s BoardWalk Several businesses at Disney’s BoardWalk closed in the past few years, which has left a few locations available. Now, Disney is starting to fill in those spots, and we’ll be getting a NEW restaurant called Hurly-Burly! What do we know about it so far? Let’s break down everything. Location First, we know that Hurly-Burly is going to be located on Disney’s BoardWalk, but Disney hasn’t revealed the exact location yet. Our educated guess is that Hurly-Burly will take over the former home of Jellyrolls. The concept art looks similar to that venue, and based on what Hurly-Burly will offer, it would fit well. ©Disney However, there are two other potential locations. Big River Grille closed in early 2024 and hasn’t been replaced with anything new yet, and the Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed in 2025 and is currently still empty. Those spots aren’t as good of candidates, but they could work if they were completely transformed. What It Will Offer During the daytime, Hurly-Burly is going to be a family-friendly venue. Disney has noted that you’ll be able to enjoy games and activities with the whole family, including the kids. At night, there will be live entertainment, and it’ll only be open to those 21 and older. Old Jellyrolls location This reminds us of those lounges on Disney Cruise Line ships that are family-friendly spots during the day and transform into bars for adults only in the evenings. What’s On the Menu As the Disney Food Blog, you KNOW we’re interested in the eats available! When Disney announced Hurly-Burly, they stated that the menu would include “classic, coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites.” Shrimp Cocktail at Steakhouse 71 That was all the information we got, but that likely means there won’t be many full-scale meal options on the menu, which lines up with what most other Disney World lounges offer. Maybe we’ll get some seafood options? Or some signature drinks? We’ll let you know as soon as the menu is announced! Theme and Timeline One big bit of information that has been revealed is that Hurly-Burly will open in late 2026 at the BoardWalk. No specific month or date has been revealed yet. The space is going to be inspired by the turn of the century to match the theme of the BoardWalk overall. It’s going to be so fun! Disney’s BoardWalk We’ll make sure to keep you updated as we get more information about Hurly-Burly. We can’t wait to check it out! See All the Hurly-Burly Info As It’s Released Here! 26. Universal Orlando, like all theme parks, isn’t immune to ride technical difficulties. Sometimes, it’s just one ride that has issues, but on other occasions, though rarer, there are times when entire power outages affect multiple parts of the park. Universal Orlando Yesterday, a power outage at Universal Orlando left about 70 riders stranded inside an attraction that many people wouldn’t assume to be one that needs intense evacuation measures, but alas, harnesses, ladders, and safety ropes were needed to rescue the guests. One of the guests on the ride was interviewed regarding the experience, saying that the ride jerked suddenly, and then Team Members began repeating the same message over and over. She continued, saying, “It didn’t feel like things were being communicated in a well manner, it was just the same thing over and over again, like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna get it fixed ASAP.’ Eventually it was, ‘Oh, the ride may continue at any moment,’ and then it turned into, ‘OK, we’re just gonna get you guys out of there.'” Universal No other rides were reported as needing to be evacuated with help from the fire department during the outage. It’s important to note that there’s no telling what rides or attractions will go down, and that it’s possible on any of them that an unexpected issue could occur while riding. 27. The MyDisney Experience app is an essential part of your Disney World vacation. Cinderella Castle This app is home to everything you will need on your Disney vacation. It holds your hotel reservation and park tickets, can help you make dining reservations, Mobile Order food, and so much more. We really recommend downloading the app before your vacation and learning it so you are prepared! We’re bringing you 5 new changes that the app has seen recently and how it could affect your trip. 1. Changing the Language Back in May, Disney promised a Spanish-language version of My Disney Experience, and it has finally been rolled out. Before the rollout of this feature, most Spanish-language speakers had to use tools like Google Translate to navigate around the app. ©Disney Right now, most pages of the app are available in Spanish, but both Mobile Order and Mobile Checkout are still only available in English. It’s probably only a matter of time before Disney updates those pages, too, though. The feature is rolling out to phones, so you might not see it yet, and the app will only be translated if your phone settings are set to Spanish. However, it’s another app update that plenty of folks have been waiting for, so navigating both Disney World and Disneyland just got a little bit easier. ©Disney 2. Always Check Walk-Up Options Recently, we noticed that both GEO-82 and the Beak and Barrel finally added walk-up lists to each lounge! This means it would be easier to experience each dining option, which previously required reservations to experience. Sadly, it was short-lived. Disney quickly removed the option from the app. This leads us to believe that this feature is coming in the future, but it wasn’t quite ready to be launched. The Beak and Barrel 3. Save Gift Cards to MDE Previously, if you wanted to use a gift card to pay for something through the My Disney Experience app, you’d have to manually add in the gift card number every time you wanted to use it. That’s why we’ve previously suggested saving the gift card number in a notes app so you can copy and paste it into My Disney Experience. Gift Card! Now the app allows you to add Disney gift cards as your default payment method. Here’s how it works: Click on the three lines on the far right bottom of the My Disney Experience app screen. Scroll down and choose MyDisney Wallet under “Account” Click on “Add a Payment Method” Choose Disney Gift Card Type in the 16-Digit gift card number and details Click on “Save payment card information to MyDisney Wallet” Click on “Confirm.” Grab your Gift Cards on sale! 4. More to Come This Year Disney and AccuWeather are teaming up to launch the Disney Weather Check powered by the AccuWeather mobile app.” This new app addition allows access to real-time weather updates and location-specific notifications. The integration is available to those visiting Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. ©AccuWeather The app’s search feature will be improved via AI, which will allow guests to interact with it using conversational tones and wording, as opposed to simply typing in searchable keywords. This can be especially helpful for first-time guests who may not be explicitly familiar with official names and terminology. My Disney Experience app ©Disney 5. Be Aware Before Mobile Ordering The My Disney Experience app has restricted mobile ordering at certain locations. There are now four popular Disney World restaurants that don’t allow mobile ordering unless you’re physically at the restaurant! Here’s the full list: Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian Resort Capt. Cook’s at the Polynesian Village Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary Resort Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge Capt. Cook’s Currently, if you try to mobile order using the My Disney Experience at these four restaurants, the app shows an error message that says “You’re too far away,” and prompts you to move closer to the restaurant to place a mobile order. Once you’re near the restaurant, usually around the resort in general, you can still place a mobile order like normal. You can still mobile order like usual in all four theme parks and at other resort quick-service spots not listed! Geyser Point Bar & Grill We monitor these changes to the Disney World app — big and small so that you can use them on your next vacation.
