  4. Disney World is getting even MORE expensive! The most dreaded time of year has arrived: price increase season. This is a time every year when prices go up across all of Disney, affecting food, tickets, and much more. Photo Pass Cast Member! And this year it looks like even Memory Maker was not safe from the increases. The Memory Maker service allows you to download photos taken throughout the Disney World parks by both PhotoPass photographers and on-ride cameras. With Memory Maker, you can download ALL the photos taken during your Disney World vacation. As well, download the photos of anyone you are friends with on the My Disney Experience app. PhotoPass Cast Member When purchasing Memory Maker, you can choose to purchase the service for the length of your trip or for just a single day of your trip. You can also save money by purchasing the service at least 3 days in advance of your trip! PhotoPass This service just saw a price increase, so let’s see what you will have to pay for your photo downloads now. Here were the prices before the increase for Memory Maker: Memory Maker purchased at least three days in advance: $185 Memory Maker: $210 Memory Maker One Day: $75 Now, here is the post-increase pricing: Memory Maker purchased at least three days in advance: $185 Memory Maker: $210 Memory Maker One Day: $85 ©Disney So, thankfully, only one of the tiers got an increase, and it only went up $10! While any increase in price is always a bummer, we’ve seen steeper increases this year, so we will take it. It looks like your best bet for getting the most use out of your Photo Pass is to still purchase Memory Maker at least three days in advance, since that offering has not changed in price. PhotoPass Photographers You can get lots of fun photo opportunities with PhotoPass photographers, and they can even create Magic Shots for you. If you want pictures of your whole group without having to pay for the pictures, you can always ask a PhotoPass photographer nicely to take your picture with your phone. However, it is not a guarantee they will be able to take the photos. PhotoPass Cast Members Memory Maker can be a great investment as there are LOTS of photo opportunities at all of the parks, but it is also important to weigh the cost of the service to the benefit for your group. 5. Disney World is currently undergoing a plethora of changes, including new lands, refurbished attractions, a brand-new hotel, and a few new restaurants. While new things are exciting, changes can also be scary, and fans haven’t held back about sharing what they think of these additions. Hurly-Burly Two new dining locations have recently opened, and we’ve received quite a few comments on our Instagram and Facebook about them, with what YOU think! And one location has been received much more positively than the other — let’s dive into what you think! Let’s start with the newly opened location at Disney’s BoardWalk — the Hurly-Burly. This spot opened up on October 1st with hours from 4 PM to 1 AM. During the day, this space will act as a family-friendly lounge with host-led trivia and games and will transition to a 21+ spot at night with live music performances. Here, guests will be able to enjoy “classic, coastal-inspired cocktails” and dishes “inspired by Italian American favorites and classic boardwalk bites.” Hurly-Burly Unfortunately, there have been a lot of negative comments about this spot since its preview and opening. A lot of guests are complaining that this spot is too generic, including @anewhopegirl on Instagram, who mentioned it looks like “a failed cruise line concept.” @chrisottum agreed and wrote, “You want to replace Jelly Rolls? Ok, but make it a worthy successor. This just looks one step above any other generic lounge. Whomever is running the creative side of the design team is missing the creativity, whimsy, and imagination needed to make Disney unique.” The stage at Hurly-Burly @redwingedreptar also commented on the transformation from Jellyrolls to Hurly-Burly, writing, “I can’t believe they’d massacre Jellyrolls like this. Look what they’ve done to my boy.” @holcos814 said, “I expect more from a Deluxe Resort,” and @docandblondie went so far as to say, “They promised us jazz club and delivered a cafeteria instead.” YIKES. Hurly-Burly However, it wasn’t all negative. @midlifeonmainstreet thinks the Hurly-Burly “looks perfect for the Boardwalk!” @kennedyelizalee actually commented on all of the negativity this lounge is receiving, saying, “Why is everyone being so negative? I LOVE it!!” And finally, @lizmrose spoke about its generic look in a positive way: “I don’t know what kind of lounges other people are going to in their daily lives that they think this is generic. I LOVE the aesthetic! The small bites are great options, and having non-alcoholic drinks is a huge bonus! Can’t wait to try it!” Overture in Orange Now, over to the new lounge in the Magic Kingdom — the Diamond Horseshoe! This charming Old West-themed music hall in Liberty Square is acting as a pop-up experience for a limited time with small bites and drinks. So, how does this one bode with the guests? The Diamond Horseshoe A lot of the negative comments were actually about the additional alcoholic drinks available in the parks, including @mahaloginger, who said, “Oh goody, more alcohol at a children’s theme park can’t wait for the ruckus to begin.” And Linda Jean commented, “Don’t need to encourage more drinking in the parks.” Cactus Rose Margarita Amy Husley-Micheli also spoke negatively about the establishment, saying, “Oh super, another “money raking” in bar. Seems to be the only dining option Disney keeps adding.” And @donnad.321 won’t even be giving it a chance, as they wrote, “Look gross to me – I will not be trying it for sure!!” Charcuterie But just like the Hurly-Burly, there are always guests looking forward to trying it, including @themagicaldetails who said, “The dirty soda and tostadas are calling my name!!” @followme.tothe.magic and @krosed26 are also excited to try out the new spot, commenting, “Goodness that looks good!!” and “Okay this actually looks great!” respectively. @mickeyinminutes even hopes this spot is so popular that it becomes permanent! Chipotle Chicken Tostada Change is scary, but it doesn’t have to be! The Hurly-Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk and the Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom have both officially OPENED! Be sure to check it out and join in on the next conversation! Stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more Disney World news, updates, tips, and tricks! Magic Kingdom Christmas Tree Now, 2027 is still pretty far out, so you’re not going to be able to make reservations for restaurants yet; you can do that 60 days in advance (or 60 days in advance of the first day of your trip if you’re staying at a Disney World resort). 7. Can you hear distant screaming? That’s just our wallets, no big deal. We’ve been dreading this day all year, but there’s nothing we can do to stop it from happening — it’s official, price increases have hit Disneyland. Disneyland We’ve been covering all of the price increases happening Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, and it’s time to talk about Disneyland tickets. Whether you’ve started to plan your Disneyland trip or you’re about to, you’re going to want to take a look at these price changes and how they’ll impact your budget. When it comes to Disney tickets, prices vary depending on when you visit the park. More popular times of the year are more expensive than less popular times. That would include times like holidays. When it comes to the new prices, we’ve broken them down into tiers. Tier 0 is the least popular times, and Tier 6 is the most popular times. It’s important to note that currently, tickets are only available through June 2027, so it’s possible more expensive tickets could be seen in the latter half of the year. Here’s how the price increases look: Tier 0 tickets had NO CHANGE, staying at $104 Tier 1 tickets have increased from $129 to $134 ($5 increase) Tier 2 tickets have increased from $149 to $154 ($5 increase) Tier 3 tickets have increased from $169 to $174 ($5 increase) Tier 4 tickets have increased from $184 to $189 ($5 increase) Tier 5 tickets had NO CHANGE, staying at $199 Tier 6 tickets had NO CHANGE, staying at $224 Disneyland Park Hopper options have also gone up with the ticket price increase. Before, Park Hopper tickets cost between $174 and $314 depending on the date tier. Now, the price for Park Hoppers has increased to range from $179 to $319. Remember, the lower end of the Park Hopper will be on less busy days. Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland The price increases aren’t stopping there, as Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Disneyland is going up as well. It will now cost $35 instead of $34 if you’re purchasing it ahead of your trip. Matterhorn Bobsleds Lightning Lane in Disneyland Fortunately, multi-day tickets, all Magic Key prices, and parking at Disneyland Resort remain unchanged, which is fantastic news for all of our wallets. 8. I’ve been eating my way around Disney World for more than 30 years. That means I have watched restaurants come and go. I’ve eaten my weight in festival food. I’ve stood in EPCOT holding three tiny plates at once while attempting to balance a drink on my forearm. I have opinions about Disney snacks that are stronger than some of my opinions about actual important things. 2025 Live Entertainment And after all those years, one Disney World food event still gets me ridiculously excited. It’s the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic. Yes, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival gets most of the attention. I love that festival, too. But if you asked me which Disney World food event I would choose for one really good night of eating, drinking, and wandering around with absolutely nowhere else I needed to be? I’m heading to the Swan and Dolphin. And the 2026 event is coming up VERY soon. This Is a VERY Different Kind of Disney Food Festival First, we need to talk about what makes the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic different. The event takes place outside the parks, along the causeway between the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels. You don’t need a park ticket. You don’t need a Park Pass. You don’t even need to be staying at the Swan and Dolphin to attend. You buy your event ticket, show up, and start eating. The 2024 Food and Wine Classic! For 2026, the Food & Wine Classic takes place November 20th and 21st from 5 PM to 9 PM. The event is celebrating its 17th year and brings together dishes from the Swan and Dolphin’s chefs, wines, beer, spirits, live entertainment, and more. And here’s the part I REALLY love. Your Causeway ticket includes unlimited food and beverage tastings. Read that again — Unlimited. Burnt Ends and Pimento Melt There is no standing at a booth debating whether you really want to spend another $9 on a three-bite appetizer. There is no loading money onto a gift card and watching the balance evaporate over the course of an evening. If you try something and immediately decide you need another one, GO GET ANOTHER ONE. This is dangerous information in my hands. Vegetable Galette Slider Single-night tickets for 2026 are $215 per person, or $234.90 with taxes and service fees. A two-night bundle is $387 per person, or $422.94 with taxes and service fees. That is absolutely an investment for one evening. But once I start comparing it with what I can spend on dinner, drinks, and entertainment during a normal Disney World night, the math gets much more manageable. The Food Is the Main Event This isn’t a festival where the food feels like something designed to be assembled as quickly as possible for several thousand hungry people. The Swan and Dolphin has some serious culinary muscle behind it, and the Classic lets those chefs show off a little. We’ve eaten some spectacular dishes here over the years. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic media event In 2024, our favorites included a Shaved Asparagus Salad from Todd English’s bluezoo with cured yellowfin tuna, miso egg yolk, and yuzu Kewpie; a Burnt Ends & Pimento Melt; a Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib with browned butter potato gnocchi; Butter Poached Bay Scallops; and a Chocolate Blackberry Choux Puff. Bluezoo’s Dynamite Shrimp Tempura Then 2025 came along with dishes like a Red Wine Braised Wagyu Short Rib from Bourbon Steak, Blue Crab Stir-Fried Rice from bluezoo, and some genuinely gorgeous desserts. Bourbon Steak Dish This event has a habit of serving the kind of food that makes me stop mid-conversation. You know the bite. You take it, stare down at the plate, and suddenly the person talking to you no longer exists because you need a moment alone with a short rib. The 2026 Menu Is Already Making Me Hungry And 2026 appears determined to continue that tradition. Bourbon Steak is serving a Slow Braised Wagyu Beef Short Rib with celery root espuma and shallot marmalade. Rosa Mexicano has Flautas de Pollo, Tacos de Cochinita Pibil, and a whole chips and salsa bar. For the Love of Florida is bringing Ropa Vieja, Red Grouper, Fried Green Tomatoes, and a Florida Citrus salad. Rosa Mexicana Over at Chinatown, you’ll find Pan-Fried Shrimp & Pork Dumplings, Turnip Cake, Taro Puff, and Shu Mein. The Beer Garden has wings, brats, and fresh-baked Bavarian pretzels. Carnival Corner is serving Texas Red Chili, a Char Siu Pulled Pork Slider, Tornado Potatoes, and Old Bay Spiced Nitro Popcorn. Kimonos And then there are the desserts. Coffee Crème Brûlée. A Cinnamon Roll Waffle with dulce de leche ice cream. Campfire Mocha with chocolate coffee mousse and toasted marshmallow. The Peach with white peach mousse and peach compote. A Snickerdoodle Banana Profiterole. Desserts I would like to remind everyone that this event lasts four hours. So, bring your appetite and wear a waistband that has some give to it. Make a Night of It This may be the biggest reason the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has stayed at the top of my list. It feels like an EVENT. Disney World vacations have a way of turning dinner into another task on the itinerary: Get to the reservation. Eat. Check the wait times. Decide whether you can make it back to EPCOT. Check your phone. Hurry to the next thing. The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic gives you permission to stay put. You can take your time here. Grab a bite, follow it with a glass of wine, and keep moving until something else catches your eye. Maybe it’s the live music. Maybe it’s another savory dish you somehow still have room for. Or maybe it’s that dessert you spotted earlier and have been thinking about ever since. Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic Entertainment For 2026, the entertainment lineup includes The Rundown, Live Effect, Stella Beat, Slickwood, and returning Bubble Lounge performers Claudia & Alex. Nobody is asking me to scan into an attraction in seven minutes. This is my kind of Disney night. And Then There Are the Drinks The “Wine” part of Food & Wine is not decorative. The Classic features wine, beer, and spirits from around the world, and certified sommeliers are part of the event. But this isn’t just a chance to grab a drink; it’s a chance to try things you might never order by the bottle or commit to at a restaurant. And if you REALLY want to nerd out about it, the Classic has historically offered ticketed educational experiences separately. Toki Whiskey Past events have included wine blending, Champagne tastings, craft cocktail classes, beer seminars, Italian wine education, and even pasta making. In other words, you can go from “I like this wine” to discussing grape varietals with a sommelier much faster than you anticipated. Swan and Dolphin For 2026, the event is also advertising new celebrity chef experiences featuring Todd English and Michael Mina. This is where the Classic starts feeling much closer to a true culinary event than a theme park festival. It Doesn’t Require a Park Ticket I cannot overstate how much I love this. The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is open to the general public. You don’t need to be staying at the resort, and you don’t need to buy a Disney World theme park ticket. 2022 Wristband for Food and Wine Classic That also makes this one of my favorite excuses to plan a full non-park day. Sleep in, spend some time by the pool, maybe make a Disney Springs detour, then head back to the hotel and trade the theme park clothes for something a little less Florida-soaked. Fried Apalachicola Oyster Sliders By the time you get to the Swan and Dolphin, “dinner” has turned into four hours of Wagyu short rib, dumplings, tacos, desserts, drinks, and whatever else pulls you toward another booth. I will take that kind of rest day every single time. I’ve Been Doing Disney Food for Decades. This One Still Wins Me Over. After 30+ years, it takes a little more to surprise me at Disney World. I’ve seen the snacks shaped like Mickey. I’ve eaten the limited-time cupcakes. I’ve attended the festivals. I’ve made the dining reservations. I’ve planned entire afternoons around food booths. I still love all of it. Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic But the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic still feels different from every other Disney food event I do. For four hours, I’m not thinking about rides, wait times, parade schedules, or whether I can cram one more thing into the night. The entire plan is food, drinks, music, and whatever catches my attention next. Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic Eat something great. Try a new wine. Stop for the band. Go back for dessert. That’s the whole evening. And after more than 30 years of watching Disney vacations get more complicated, I think that simplicity is a big part of why I still love this event so much. For one night, the food gets to be the attraction. Tuna Bowl from 2022 Swan & Dolphin Food and Wine fest! The 2026 Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic takes place November 20th and 21st from 5 PM to 9 PM. Tickets are available to the general public, and you do not need to be a Swan and Dolphin hotel guest to attend. And yes, I will once again be approaching those unlimited tastings with all the restraint you would expect from someone who has spent 30+ years treating Disney food like a competitive sport. Which is to say, very little. 11. Your Disney World holiday trip could be tripped up thanks to these NEW rules! Luckily, we’re here to keep that from happening! From restrictions to having to pay more to get into the parks, there are a few things you NEED to know before you go! Magic Kingdom Yes, it may be two months away, but it’s time to start planning ahead, especially since the holidays are some of the busiest times at Disney World! So, let’s go through some rules that you may need to work around during your vacation! #1: Christmas Decorations Are Only For Hotel Guests If you were hoping to see some of the holiday decorations at the hotels and you’re not staying there, you may be out of luck. In a post about the holiday season, Disney stated, “For guests staying at the resorts or for those with valid dining reservations, the Disney Resorts Collection offers a wide array of bright and merry holiday decor.” This means that guests not staying or dining at these resorts will not get to experience the holiday decor. Wilderness Lodge Disney has also confirmed that the large gingerbread house inside the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will not return. Instead, the hotel will feature a few small gingerbread displays made by Disney’s culinary team. The gingerbread displays at the other resorts, including the castle at the Contemporary and the carousel at the Beach Club, are expected to return. 2024 Gingerbread House at Grand Floridian Resort “Another Piece of Magic Taken Away.” Fans Are Devastated By the Loss of This Beloved Disney World Tradition #2: You May Need A Separate Ticket To Experience The Parks At Night Yes, that’s right… You may be paying for TWO tickets when you visit Disney World during the holidays. Why? Well, that’s because Disney World hosts two Christmas parties during the holidays, which are separately ticketed events. Magic Kingdom holds Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party while Hollywood Studios holds Jollywood Nights. On these days, the parks will close early to the general public. So, if you’re hoping to spend a full day in the parks, you will need to pay for a regular day ticket, as well as a party ticket. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Of course, you have the option of purchasing either a day ticket to the parks that aren’t holding a Christmas party that night or purchasing a park-hopper ticket and spending the first half of your day in the party park while going to another at night. You also don’t HAVE to buy two tickets — if you just want to go to the Christmas party, you don’t have to buy a day ticket… You can just buy the party ticket at night! Bo Peep at Jollywood Nights This Popular Lounge Will Be OPEN During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! #3: You Won’t Be Able To Take The Disney Springs Buses Unless You’re A Hotel Guest We saw transportation be limited during peak seasons last year, but now it is permanent. The buses and boats at Disney Springs now require guests to show a valid hotel or dining reservation to board. The dining reservations must also be within two hours of the reservation time. This means that guests will not be able to park at Disney Springs and hop on a bus to a resort. Keep this in mind if you’re staying off property this holiday season! Disney World Bus Everything You Need To Know About the New Disney Springs Transportation Rule #4: Mobile Ordering May Be Limited To Resort Guests During peak seasons, the My Disney Experience app will limit Mobile Ordering to guests staying at their particular resort. Although this has yet to be confirmed for the holidays, it’s entirely possible that this will return during the holidays. We’ve seen this happen at Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian Resort, Capt. Cook’s at the Polynesian Village, Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary Resort, and Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge. Geyser Point Bar & Grill If you do find yourself getting hungry at a resort you can’t Mobile Order at, don’t worry — you should still be able to walk up to the quick-service restaurant and order in person! We don’t need any guests being hangry on their magical vacation! FULL LIST: Disney World Quick Service Restaurants That Serve Breakfast and When They Open #5: The Polynesian Resort’s Beach May Be Limited To Hotel Guests Only Finally, you may not be able to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Polynesian Village Resort unless you’re staying there. The resort’s beach offers a GREAT view of the fireworks show each night, and they even pipe in the soundtrack, so you know where you’re at in the show. Many guests either monorail hop or walk over from the Grand Floridian to watch them on the beach, but you may not be able to during the holidays. In the past, we’ve seen Cast Members stationed in the walkways to make sure no one is where they’re not supposed to be. Keep this rule in mind to save you some steps! The Beach at the Polynesian Keep these five rules in mind if you have a Disney World vacation planned for the holidays, so you can have a smooth and magical trip! 13. Nobody tell my boss I said this, but it’s kinda hard to focus on my job on Tuesdays. Any guesses why? WELL, that’s because one of my favorite shows is on TV! ©Disney And yes, I know I write about Disney and Universal and cruise lines and air travel and movies and even sometimes McDonald’s for a living. It’s so much fun, and it’s a very interesting job…but the one thing on my mind on Tuesdays right now is Dancing with the Stars, and it’s DEFEATING MY COWORKERS. You see, my coworkers and I are locked in a weekly battle, and it all goes down on Tuesday nights at 8 PM ET. Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about our Dancing with the Stars bracket tournament! ©ABC | Dancing with the Stars I’ve been watching the show on and off since I was fifteen years old, and this year’s cast has some SERIOUS star power. Each year I get sucked into the Dancing with the Stars season, watching everyone’s TikToks and listening to the behind-the-scenes content. So, what better way to level up the experience than a bracket tournament with my coworkers?! They were shockingly enthusiastic about the idea, and thus, the rivalry began. ©Disney I made our tournament on the Bracketology app for free, and we were able to each make brackets predicting who we think will win. From there, we can make weekly elimination predictions and even rank the contestants pyramid-style to earn points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the show wins. It’s brutal; It’s cutthroat. Are there any prizes for the winner? NOPE. Nothing but pride and joy in a prediction well-made, baby! ©Bracketology Now, I know you’re curious…who do we have as the frontrunners?! We’ve got some fans of The Rookie on the team, so some of my coworkers were predicting Jenna Dewan to make it to the finals, and we have multiple folks who love the Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas partnership. As it currently stands, though, the two frontrunners for the Mirrorball trophy among my coworkers’ brackets are Harry Shum Jr. and Amber Glenn. But me? I’m going with someone else. ©ABC Listen, I love an underdog story. I love to see someone with minimal dance experience come up from the back of the pack with charisma and showmanship and enthusiasm for the craft. So, in my bracket, I’m rooting all the way for Jackson Olson of the Savannah Bananas! Their partnership looks like a blast to me, and I know the energy in those rehearsal studios has to be so positive and fun. It also helps that Jackson is a major DFB fan, and I absolutely adore his partner Emma (she’s hilarious, has incredible TikTok content, and is such a patient teacher). The Savannah Bananas at Disneyland There has been a lot of movement on our scoreboard so far, and all of our predicted winners are still in the competition at this point. The claws haven’t come out yet, but things are about to get more intense in the coming weeks as we get into the nitty-gritty of the competition. For now, I invite you to sit back with us and watch how it unfolds. Oh, and please, pretty please, vote JACKSON to 21523 each week. (You guys are rooting for me to win, right?) ©Bracketology We’ll keep you in the loop with any more fun shenanigans ’round these parts, so stay tuned to DFB. 16. Disney World costs are rising AGAIN! Cinderella Castle Each year, around this time, Disney will raise costs on pretty much everything. If you don’t know, there are tons of ways to experience Disney World, and it’s not just going to the theme parks and hotels. 17. The holiday season is about to get a whole lot louder at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! From November 4 through January 6, The Electric Mayhem is putting its own spin on the season with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay, a limited-time experience turning their already legendary concert into a festive celebration filled with seasonal tunes and new surprises. The celebration begins before you even step inside G-Force Records. Festive music fills the courtyard surrounding the attraction’s iconic guitar marquee, setting the stage for a holiday concert that only The Electric Mayhem could deliver. New Holiday Moments Backstage Once inside G-Force Records, you’ll find Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips deep in rehearsals for their holiday spectacular. While the band puts the finishing touches on its seasonal set list, a few familiar Muppets friends stop by the studio to offer a helping hand… or at least try to. Of course, this is The Electric Mayhem we’re talking about. As the countdown to showtime continues, the band’s holiday preparations don’t exactly go according to plan. But that’s all part of the fun when your headliners are known more for rocking out than sticking to a schedule. You’ll be fully immersed in the story with the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, brought to life using motion-capture technology of Scooter the Muppet (yes, the actual adorable Muppet you see in the photo above). By recording and tracking Scooter’s performance, Walt Disney Imagineering was able to build and program a figure that looks, moves, and emotes exactly like Scooter should, right down to the small details. Joined by the finest audio engineers (all penguins, of course), Scooter is doing his best to convince The Electric Mayhem to stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans. But will it be enough to get the band across town and on stage in time? Thanks to the newest technological advancements from Muppet Labs, we’ll board a super-powered vehicle in the alleyway just behind Studio C known as the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.)! Cue The Carolers: The Holiday Set List Has Arrived What would a holiday concert be without a brand-new set list? For this seasonal celebration, The Electric Mayhem is bringing four new holiday-inspired tracks to Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, including collaborations with a few special guests. Here’s what’s on this limited-time holiday set list: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson Silver Bells – The Electric Mayhem ft. Cyndi Lauper Each song unwraps its own mix of holiday cheer, high-energy riffs, and rock star attitude, creating a concert-style experience like no other. 19. Please sing the following to the tune of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree: “Rockin’ around the galaxy, it’s a happy holiday!“ Why did I begin this blog with such a galactically festive start, you may ask? I’ll tell you – from November 25 through January 6, 2027 at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will give guests the opportunity to defend the galaxy to the tune of three holiday songs. Seasonal Songs The holiday season is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World – across the resort, holiday décor, limited-time offerings, tasty seasonal treats, and holiday overlays are a gift the whole family can unwrap to enjoy together. At EPCOT, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30 to bring the traditions of global holidays to visitors. And in 2026, you’ll have an additional way to celebrate the holidays at EPCOT – at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This year, you’ll have the opportunity to get festive with three different seasonal songs shuffled to create a fresh experience for every ride. Check out the rockin’ holiday tracks you may hear November 25-January 12, 2027, on the attraction! “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams “Chrismas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra 8 “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Inside the World Discovery neighborhood at EPCOT, the Wonders of Xandar pavilion introduces park visitors to the culture and technology of the Xandarian people – but that culture exchange goes both ways. Hero of Xandar Star-Lord, a Terran himself who once visited EPCOT as a kid, is quick to share his own love of earthly rock ‘n’ roll music. Once it’s about time for the guests to save the galaxy from the latest threat (of course, it is about time. Have you not been paying attention?) the action is accompanied by one of six rockin’ songs. Each track gives its own vibe to the galaxy-saving experience, bringing the attraction to life in a way perfectly suited to the quirky humor and heart of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Outside of the holiday season, the save-the-galaxy soundtrack includes six songs from Terran musicians: “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps “Conga” by Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls “One Way or Another” by Blondie Find more information on festive happenings around the resort here on the Disney Parks Blog – and happy (early) holidays! 2026 EPCOT Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators Lineup 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Details Spaceship Earth to Receive Reimagining The post New Holiday Tracks Coming to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. 20. At the Magic Kingdom, the turn of the calendar from October kickstarts the holiday season and leads to a slew of changes at Disney World’s original theme park in November. This year, one of those changes includes the closure of a beloved ride! Magic Kingdom Christmas Decor From the kickoff of a massively popular seasonal event — and the effects it has even on this without tickets — to holiday decorations, November marks some major changes heading into the end of the year. Christmas is Coming While the Halloween season and party dates run all the way until October 31st, elements of the Christmas season will begin sneaking in certain places as the month comes to an end. Then, as soon as Halloween ends, the bulk of decorations goes up just after Halloween in early November, usually being complete within the month’s opening days. In addition, holiday snacks will start popping up around the park (YUM!). Magic Kingdom Christmas Tree SNEAK PEEK at Disney’s 2026 Holiday Collection (Looks Like I’m Buying ANOTHER Backpack) Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Closure The beloved water flume is scheduled to close for what Disney is referring to as a “routine refurbishment” on November 2nd. While no reopening date has been specified, the official website states that the ride is “expected to reopen in December 2026.” If that preliminary timeline ends up being accurate — always remember that refurbishment length is subject to change — then the ride should be open for the later part of the holiday rush, but it’s still going to be down during some of the Magic Kingdom’s busiest weeks of the year. Of course, we’ll keep you updated with any announcements and news! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins… November will see the 2026 debut of the ever-popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. As usual, the event will offer special entertainment, like Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Club Tinsel, and Disney Junior Jingle Jam! Guests will also have access to Magic Kingdom attractions (some with Holiday overlays), photo opportunities with characters, exclusive treats, and tasty cookie and cocoa spots offering complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the party! Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Plus, several Magic Kingdom attractions will offer special Holiday overlays: Space Mountain will feature “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.” The Tomorrowland Speedway transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor, and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.” The Mad Tea Party becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.” Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns.” Of note, the Jingle Cruise can be enjoyed during the party or all day long at the Magic Kingdom. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.” Jingle Cruise Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party launches November 8th. Further November dates: 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, 27th and 29th. Let’s gooo! … And This Leads The Park To Close Early On Some Nights Non-party guests visiting the Magic Kingdom on the aforementioned dates should be aware that the party will have some major ramifications for their visit. For starters, the park closes to day guests at 6 PM, which means there won’t be Happily Ever After fireworks, late-night dinner reservations, or Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade on these nights. Welcome to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Happily Ever After Changes On non-Very Merry Christmas Party nights throughout November, the Happily Ever After fireworks show will take place at 8 PM each evening. Happily Ever After November 2026 brings a slew of changes to the Magic Kingdom, as the park prepares for the final quarter of the year. 22. Get your wallets ready, because Disney World just got more expensive! Disney World Theme Park Tickets Each year around this time, Disney releases thousands of price increases, from food to hotels and even park tickets. It feels a bit inevitable at this point that each year will be slightly more expensive than the last, and next year is no exception. How much more do you have to pay for your Disney World park tickets? Now we know. Disney World has once again raised prices on park tickets, as part of the annual price increases we typically see around this time each year. The highest-priced day will now hit $229 per ticket. Keep in mind that ticket prices are based on the date and the park — here’s a full breakdown of the new highest-priced ticket per park: Animal Kingdom — $189 Hollywood Studios — $214 EPCOT — $229 Magic Kingdom — $229 The lowest-priced 1-day, 1-park ticket has not changed, and that will still cost $119. Magic Kingdom In 2025 and 2026, the prices ranged from $119 to $219. For comparison, here is a breakdown of what a 1-day, 1-park ticket previously ranged from before October 6th, 2026: Animal Kingdom — $119-$184 Hollywood Studios — $139-$209 EPCOT — $129-$214 Magic Kingdom — $144-$219 Disney World ticket prices range depending on the date and crowds expected at the theme park. That means if you’re going during the holidays, it’s going to cost you more. It also means that the off-season might not cost you more than it has in the past! Magic Kingdom Crowds Over the past few years, Disney also added “park-specific pricing” for 1-day, 1-park tickets, so more popular parks will cost you more. For instance, Magic Kingdom is almost always the most expensive park no matter the date. Main Street in Disney World Park Hopper tickets were also included in the changes! In 2026, Park Hopper options reached highs of $284. This addition to your ticket becomes slightly less expensive the more days you add to your ticket. Now, Park Hoppers on the most expensive day can cost you up to $301. It’s worth noting that, like park tickets, the price of Park Hoppers decreases as you purchase additional days. Hollywood Studios Price increases aren’t unusual for Disney World. As we’ve mentioned, these increases occur on an annual basis at this point, and it’s traditionally not a massive increase. Those more affordable tickets (or cheapest tickets) can still be found depending on the time of year you go. If you’re looking to take the most affordable trip, you can always plan based on the ticket calendar. Searching for the lowest ticket prices and being flexible is the easiest way to grab those cost-effective tickets. Animal Kingdom Ticket changes are also due to all of the new projects coming to the theme parks. In 2027, we know that the Tropical Americas land in Animal Kingdom and Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios are opening, which is expected to draw in some big crowds. Other projects are underway that will impact tickets and crowds, like Disney fixing Expedition Everest’s Yeti, the brand-new Villains Land project, Piston Peak, the Carousel of Progress updates, and much more. @Disney These upcoming changes come after a year of other changes like the opening of The Walt Disney Studios in Hollywood Studios, the opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring the Muppets, updates to both Big Thunder Mountain and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and more. It’s safe to say Disney is doing LOTS to justify these price increases. We are currently doing a full breakdown of every price increase across Walt Disney World, so be sure to stay tuned for more. 23. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is preparing to open a BRAND NEW THEMED LAND featuring those lovable monsters from Monsters. Inc.! Humans can visit Monstropolis soon, as the land will open in phases starting in 2027. ©Disney We’ve been keeping up with all the construction and screaming with excitement as we wait for every detail we can get our human hands on. Disney previously shared that this new land will be home to multiple eateries, including the iconic Harryhausen’s from the original movie, along with Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, but we didn’t have many more details — until now. It’s time to dig into new details about what we can expect from these restaurant menus, along with a first look at the food! Disney shared that these restaurants will feature “grossly fun” food: familiar flavors reimagined with monster-inspired twists. At Harryhausen’s, some of the menu items the team is exploring include ramen bowls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors, but with “monster-sized personality.” The dishes will feature familiar, classic ingredients like rich tonkotsu broth and alkaline ramen noodles, plus others with monster twists like fishcake sliced to look like eyeballs and green eggs! ©Disney Over at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, the vibes are all about Monsters University, and this quick-service restaurant will feel like a beloved pizza spot where generations of monster college students gathered with friends after class. Not only that, but a staple from the franchise will make its debut at this spot: Blort. Blort is one of the most popular soft drinks in all of Monstropolis, but this will be the first time any human has ever tasted it! Expect to see something like a purple frozen spin on the soda topped with a Scream Apple Foam that’s so tasty, it’s scary. ©Disney In August 2026, Disney revealed a sneak peek at the Sushi Chef Audio-Animatronic coming to Harryhausen’s! Just like in the movie, guests at the restaurant can watch as the chef’s tentacles whip up Monster-worthy creations. This spot will open during the initial opening phase in 2027 — we can’t wait! ©Disney Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza is inspired by Archie, Fear Tech’s beloved six-legged mascot, but after years of being ‘borrowed’ by mischievous MU students, he’s become a fan favorite on both campuses. This restaurant will also open during the initial opening phase in 2027. 26. Next year, the gates of Monstropolis from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, inviting humans into this monster-filled metropolis for the first time ever. Guests of all ages will have the chance to step into a bustling city full of laughs, adventures, and some monstrously delicious dishes. Before guests can enjoy their first bites and celebratory toasts at the iconic Harryhausen’s and the all-new Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, Disney culinary and beverage experts face an unusual challenge: creating food that feels authentic to monsters while remaining delicious for humans. This monstrously talented team is bringing memorable food moments from the films to life by taking characters, locations and even the tiniest details from the films and turning them into experiences guests can actually see, smell, and taste. To learn more about how the team is bringing the flavors of Monstropolis to life, we recently sat down with Chef Brian Piasecki, Director of Culinary and Concept Development, and Evan Rosenthal, Beverage Director – two of the creative minds developing the menus – for a sneak-shriek! A Taste of What’s Coming From the streets of Monstropolis to the food on your plate, this land will be packed with monster-sized personality, and its dining experiences are no exception. The unique creative challenge of creating menus fit for a monster but still appetizing to us humans led to a series of questions this culinary team never thought they’d ask themselves: Do they slurp? Do they chew? Is this too many eyeballs? “There were so many moments where we asked, ‘Is this too much?'” said Evan. “And sometimes we’d hear back, ‘No. Can we take it further? Can we make it brighter, bolder, and more interesting?’ Those are the moments of true collaboration.” “Monstropolis is full of fun, adventure, zaniness, and craziness,” Brian explained. “We’re taking familiar dishes and adding unexpected twists that feel authentic to this world.” The result is something the culinary team affectionately calls “grossly fun” food: familiar flavors reimagined with playful monster-inspired twists. Two New Restaurants Coming to Monstropolis Two new-to-human restaurants will come alive in Monstropolis and invite guests of all ages in for a bite, slurp or chomp! At Harryhausen’s, Imagineers are building what you saw in the film – including its head sushi chef, a new Audio-Animatronic figure you’ll see using eight talented tentacles to prep food in the center of the dining space. The table-service restaurant will offer a vibrant dining experience that feels like it’s straight out of the movie and features more than just sushi. While the teams have room to invent new menu items and experiences, every decision starts with staying true to what fans know and love about Monstropolis from the screen. “In a place like Harryhausen’s, it’s the swanky place that you go for a night out, but we want it to be fun for guests of all ages,” said Evan. “Making sure that the menu appeals to younger guests, to older guests, and then challenging ourselves and taking things that we love and saying, is there something we can add that gets people talking about it and gets them to come back because it’s delicious and entertaining.” Some of the menu items being explored at Harryhausen’s include iconic ramen bowls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors, but with monster-sized personality. The dishes will feature familiar, classic ingredients like rich tonkotsu broth and alkaline ramen noodles, plus a few others with playful, monster-y twists like fishcake sliced to look like eyeballs and green eggs. Just down the street, Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza showcases a completely different side of Monstropolis. Inspired by Monsters University, this quick-service restaurant will feel like the beloved pizza spot where generations of monster college students gathered with friends after class. “When ideating the menu, we kept those thoughts of nostalgia in the front of our minds, remembering what we loved from our neighborhood pizza shops as kids, and finding a way to add those elements of fun unexpectedness,” said Evan. “At its core, it still feels like the pizza shop that you want to go back to time after time.” A staple from Pixar’s Monsters University will make its real-world debut at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza. Blort is one of the most popular soft drinks in all of Monstropolis, but no human has ever seen it or tasted it, giving Disney beverage teams the opportunity to dream big. The result? Maybe it’s a purple frozen spin on Monstropolis’ favorite soda topped with a Scream Apple Foam that’s so tasty, it’s scary. Together, Harryhausen’s and Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza offer two distinct ways to experience everyday life in Monstropolis, from a lively night out on the town to a favorite hangout for Monsters University’s finest students. All Eyes on Monstropolis Dining When thinking of the creative direction behind the food that fuels our favorite monsters, the culinary team worked together with Walt Disney Imagineering, studying the rich storytelling in Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University to cook up menus that guests of all ages will love. “The best part of our job is that with every project and every story, we get to see it through a new lens and then add things to it that feel uniquely Disney and can’t be replicated anywhere else,” said Evan. “Whether that’s with one eyeball or dozens of them.” And if you’re wondering whether there can be too many eyeballs on the menu? The team already has the answer: you can never have enough eyeballs in Monstropolis! Amid all the fun of finding ingredients to make dishes playfully monster-inspired and showcasing the iconic dining locations from the films, the heart of this new land is its storytelling. Each dish and experience is thoughtfully designed to create meaningful memories for fans and families, inviting them to step through the screen and into the beloved story of Monsters, Inc. in a way like never before. We can’t wait for you to experience Monstropolis when it welcomes humans in for the first time in 2027. With two dining experiences ready to serve up many laugh-powered flavors, start working up an appetite now and save some room for the delicious creations that will leave you growling for more! 27. It’s time to set sail… however, this Disney cruise will be like no other! For the next three days I’m taking you with me on a scavenger hunt aboard the Disney Wish to find clues about the new experiences and offerings coming to Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Believe. I’ll be joining a hosted group of content creators and media who will be coming onboard this week to help tell the story of the Disney Believe. It’s up to us to solve all the mysteries before the ship’s reveal takes place later this week. I hope you’ll follow along, share your guesses, and discover if you’re right by tuning in this Wednesday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. ET on the Disney Parks YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The livestream for the official reveal will announce all the news hinted at during the scavenger hunt, including Disney Believe’s homeport, itineraries, themed venues, and entertainment. Where do I watch the livestream? See the livestream on @DisneyParks social channels to tune in to the show. Now, who’s ready to decipher some clues? Day One: The Disney Believe Scavenger Hunt Begins with Embarkation Day The excitement was palpable as everyone gathered in Luna to hear the opening remarks for this one-of-a-kind experience. To my surprise, we had the most special guest kick things off for us – Trent Hitchcock, the opening Cruise Director for the Disney Believe! For those of you who don’t know Trent yet, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to the person who will be overseeing the entertainment, youth spaces, and recreation onboard the newest Disney Cruise Line ship. He passed along a few nuggets of wisdom to our group, arming us with the scavenger hunt tips we’ll need to uncover the secrets of the Disney Believe before the ship is revealed. And he let us know that every task has a meaning and every clue is intentional. The First Puzzle The first task was a group puzzle. As the crowd dispersed into three separate groups, each team went to work to decode the hidden meaning behind their challenge, looking for a single number. All at once, numbers were shouted in the crowd as people started to decipher their puzzle. “6, 7, no… it has to be 3!” Finally, the numbers 7-2-3 were displayed on stage. But what did it mean? “Well, 723 is the Disney Believe,” shared Trent. “You see, when cruise ships are built at a shipyard, they are assigned a hull number. Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering have lots of fun hiding that number in the design as a little nod to every ship’s beginning. And at Meyer Werft Shipyard, the Disney Believe’s hull designation is – you guessed it – 723! Which means… we have some news from the shipyard.” And with that the president of Disney Signature Experiences, Natacha Rafalski came to the stage to share our first bit of news! Just a few days ago, the team celebrated a new milestone for the Disney Believe by holding the ship’s keel laying ceremony. Honoring a longstanding maritime custom, a specially crafted coin featuring Tinker Bell was ceremonially welded to the ship’s keel block to bring good fortune to the ship and its future crew. Starting our Story-Hunt with Hugo and Beatrice After getting a first look at photos from the keel laying ceremony, we were joined by Hugo and Beatrice, a pair of Story Sea-kers that joined our group just for this special celebration. These lively travelers and explorers, known for story searching themselves, helped us kick start our own story hunt to uncover the tales behind the Disney Believe. With our 723 warm up complete, everyone was ready for the bigger challenges to commence! A Message in a Porthole As part of the next clue, our group was tasked with finding a special porthole on the ship, and it was clear the portholes contained a hidden word. But what does it mean? Porthole Puzzle One Porthole Puzzle Two Porthole Puzzle Three Porthole Puzzle Four Well, that hidden word within the porthole brought me to another puzzle to unscramble with my teammates. Before I could finish picking out the different letters to form a word, others in my group were already saying “Ariel.” Thankful for a speedy group to work with, we shared that Ariel’s hair is red to our Story Keeper and were handed a letter with well-known tunes from The Little Mermaid. Now, this was my time to shine! I’ve sung enough Disney songs in the past to fly through the list: Under the _____. ____ the girl. Part of your _____. Poor unfortunate _____. Make your way to the place where nightingales sing and share your answers to receive your handsome reward and continue your storybook journey. With the missing words from this list above, I made my way to the next location — Nightingale’s, also known as my favorite piano bar. However, this was no casual trip to the whimsical lounge. Once we shared our word bank from the latest puzzle, we were met with a reward I wasn’t expecting until Wednesday’s livestream… a first look at an offering coming to the Disney Believe. It turned out, each porthole mystery led to a different brand-new food and beverage item coming to the ship. But let’s not forget to ask, what do these items mean? Is it another clue for a venue, a show, or maybe a character? Only time will tell! But with that, we’re done for the first day, so make sure to come back tomorrow. Only time will tell what else will be revealed! The post Get a Sneak Peek of the Disney Believe… If You Can Solve These Puzzles appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. View the full article
