These are popular, especially for Disney goers in their 30’s, because of the shade’s retro style. There are a few color options to grab, but these blue ones stood out to us. Plus these are currently 15% off. view ON AMAZON Or, you can grab this FuelRod MAX10 FuelRod MAX10 We seriously love the FuelRod Max 10! 3. One of our favorite things to look out for at Disney World is cool and exclusive merch, and sometimes that comes in the form of fun specialty cups you can snag around the parks. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Recently, an awesome new Muppets Cup dropped in Hollywood Studios, but when we went to grab one yesterday, we saw that they were gone after only ONE week. Let’s dive in! Back on August 1st, we snagged the all-new and adorable Muppets Beaker novelty cup. This was available at the new FØØD by Swedish Chef, located right next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. You could grab this cup with the purchase of either the Pink Le-moi-nade or Pond Water Limeade. New Muppets souvenir! This cup was super cute, and the best part is that it came at no additional cost; if you bought one of these drinks, the cup came with it for the same price as the drink alone. When this Cup debuted, Disney did announce that it was only available while supplies last, but we expected that to be longer than just a week and a half. However, after speaking with a Cast Member, we found out that this cup did not actually sell out at all. The Muppet Beaker Cup Is No Longer On The Menu In fact, when the shipment of these cups came in, the Cast Members did not originally realize there was an error in production and NONE of the Muppets had any teeth. Unfortunately, once they realized the mistake, Disney decided to remove the option from the menu. And it seems like there are no plans for these cups to return any time soon. We love this cup! So, if this cup was on your list, hopefully you snagged it last week, because you just got a pretty rare souvenir! We really loved this Muppets cup, and we hope that Disney will bring this cup or one similar back in the future for fans to enjoy. We love this souvenir! 4. When it comes to Disney Cruises, there are certain things experts make sure they do as soon as they board… and make sure they DON’T do. Disney Wish From arriving at the port to souvenirs to what’s happening the rest of their voyage, these experienced passengers know what traps to avoid before even boarding their ship of choice. They Don’t Fly In the Morning of Their Departure For passengers who don’t live a short drive from their ship’s port-of-call – – those who need to fly or drive a long distance for that matter — it’s imperative to have an extra arrival day cushion and a hotel room nearby. After all, no one wants to miss their cruise because their flight’s 8:00 AM landing was delayed or traffic was inexorably backed up. Port Canaveral Try to Bring Prohibited Items Onboard Experienced Disney Cruise Line passengers know there is a relatively extensive list of items that are prohibited on Disney’s ships, and make sure to have any with them, lest they need to throw them away before boarding. This includes: Weapons & Firearms Marijuana & Illicit Drugs Blenders Bottle Sterilizers and Warmers Coffee Makers Coolers Diffusers Electric Blankets Electric Irons and Steamers Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB) Extension Cords, Power Strips, Multi-Plugs, and Surge Protectors Ham Radios Heating Elements Heating Pads Hookah Pipes Hot Plates Metal Detectors Microwave Ovens Power Tools, Hand Tools, and Toolboxes Remote-Controlled Airplanes, Drones, Toy Vehicles, Star Wars Droids Rice Cookers Toasters and Toaster Ovens Seasonal and/or Strands of Celebratory Lightbulbs Streaming Devices (Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, etc.) Port Canaveral In addition, while alcoholic beverages aren’t outright banned, they are heavily regulated. Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older—or Guests 18 years and older on round-trip cruises from Singapore—may bring a maximum of one bottle of unopened wine or sparkling wine (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage. They Don’t Try and Book Excursions that Day Whether it’s heading to the spa, going fishing, taking classes, or even exploring once you’re off the ship at different ports of call, excursions are some of the most fun you’ll have on your Disney voyage. However, as longtime cruisers know, anyone who thinks they can book their excursions the day they board the ship is in for a rude awakening. In actuality, most activities book up way beforehand. Eligibility to book is based on the following scale: First-Time Guests: 75 days prior to sail date Silver Castaway Club Members: 90 days prior to sail date Gold Castaway Club Members: 105 days prior to sail date Platinum Castaway Club Members: 120 days prior to sail date Pearl Castaway Club Members: 123 days prior to sail date Concierge Guests: 130 days prior to sail date. ©Disney To book reservations in advance, you can follow these steps! Log in to My Reservations. Go to the “My Plans” tab. Select the day you’d like to reserve an activity on your day-by-day itinerary. Select “Add Activities” and choose from the options provided. Once you’ve selected all your activities for that day, review your choices and add them to the cart. Repeat the same steps to add other activities on other days. Disney Cruise, here we come! Try and Shop Immediately Veteran cruisers know that the stores on board the ship don’t open until it has left port, so there’s no rushing to the souvenir shop immediately once on board. Relatedly, the shops are not open on disembarkation day, as the ship is already back at port by the time most passengers wake up. Treasures Untold Head to the Buffet Immediately While the shops may not be open, the buffet-style marketplaces (which are included in each sailing) sure are, and they get BUSY. Most experienced cruisers will skip the first hours of the journey, either grabbing food before boarding or ordering room service to hold them over until dinner. Marceline Market on the Disney Wish Cruise Ship They Skip the Elevators (If They Can) Speaking of crowded areas, the elevators are usually slammed with people heading to their cabins or exploring the ship on their first day. If they can, experienced passengers – – especially those familiar with the ship’s layout – – will use the stairs to maneuver their way around the ship. Stairs BONUS: They DO Unpack Most experienced Disney Cruise passengers unpack in their cabins and get settled in before sail away. This way they can enjoy their cruise without digging for belongings the whole time or living out of a suitcase, which is tougher in a cruise cabin than a hotel room. To the verandah! Whether your next Disney Cruise is your first, fifth, or fifteenth, be sure to keep in mind what NOT to do on your first day! Stay tuned to DFB for more sailing tips. 5. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is less than one week away, and that means that we’re getting prepared for a weekend FULL of Disney news. ©D23 One of the events we’re looking forward to the most is the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase, which is often where Disney announces some of the biggest news. In the past, we’ve heard tons of major Disney park news at this showcase, as well as other information that shapes Disney trips and vacations for the future, but it’s been a little hard to follow along when you’re not in person. While we’ve still got a few days to go until the actual event, Disney just released new information on what to expect, INCLUDING how you can watch from home WITHOUT a ticket to the event! The event will take place at 7 PM PT on Saturday, August 15th, and is officially called Horizons: A Carousel of Progress. In person, you’ll want to be at the Honda Center to see the announcements happen in person, but if you’re watching from home, you’ll be able to stream it live on Disney+ starting at that same 7 PM PT mark. ©Disney Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the event, and he’ll be joined by the artists, storytellers, and creative leaders working to bring Disney’s new additions to the next level. We’ll get to see a series of conversations with Walt Disney Imagineering leaders and creative talent, interspersed with high-energy performances, special moments, and Disney magic. Disney has said these conversations will take the audience “on a journey through Disney’s unmatched storytelling legacy, the spirit of adventure at the heart of so many Disney stories, the remarkable creative process anchored by exploration and curiosity, and the bold promise of possibility that has guided Imagineers for more than seven decades.” ©Disney What exactly will we be seeing, though? Are we finally going to get updates on some of the new lands coming to Disney parks? Well, Disney has just revealed that we’ll be getting “project updates, first looks, new artwork and renderings, behind-the-scenes stories, creative insights, and a closer look at how some of Disney Experiences’ most ambitious projects are progressing.” That sounds promising! ©Disney Below is a list of the Imagineers and other creatives we know we’ll get to hear from during the event: Thomas Mazloum, Disney Experiences Chairman Bruce Vaughn, President and Chief Creative Officer, Walt Disney Imagineering Ali Rubinstein, Senior Vice President, Global Creative & Development Studios Michael Hundgen, Vice President Creative, Walt Disney World Emily “Emo” O’Brien, Portfolio Creative Producer, Disneyland Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort Caroline May, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney World Claire Weiss, Portfolio Creative Director, Disney Cruise Line Brent Strong, Executive Creative Director Chris Beatty, Portfolio Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney World Jason Grandt, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney World ©Disney Not only will we be at the event in person to bring you all the latest news, but we’ll also be watching from home to make sure we don’t miss a single second. 6. Disney World restaurants have a wide range of options, and some may be more affordable than you think. Steakhouse 71 Stack Burger and Wedge Salad On one end you’ve got quick-service counters where you can grab a burger and fries without blinking, and on the other you’ve got signature restaurants where the tasting menu costs more than your park ticket. And somewhere in the middle is this wonderful, slippery category of restaurants that feel like a splurge but really aren’t. Here’s the thing about “affordable,” though — it’s totally subjective, especially at Disney World. What feels like a great deal to one family might feel steep to another, and that’s okay! We all have different budgets, different priorities, and different ideas of what’s “worth it”. So with that disclaimer in place, we rounded up 9 restaurants that give you way more bang for your buck than their ambiance, theming, or reputation might suggest. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall If character dining is on your must-do list but Cinderella’s Royal Table‘s price tag makes you wince, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion is the move. You still get princesses table-side, you still get that “we’re dining with royalty” magic, but the price point is noticeably friendlier than its Magic Kingdom counterpart. It’s proof that you don’t have to break the bank to get the princess experience — you just have to know where to look. Princess Tiana at Akershus Grand Floridian Cafe The Grand Floridian Cafe is a masterclass in “fancy vibes, friendly prices.” You’re seated in one of the most elegant resorts on Disney property, surrounded by chandeliers and that unmistakable Victorian charm, and yet the menu has plenty of approachable options. Sandwiches, salads, and comfort-food classics sit right alongside pricier entrees, so you can dip a toe into Grand Floridian elegance without committing to a Grand Floridian bill. Grand Floridian Cafe Steakhouse 71 Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary Resort is one of those restaurants where the name might scare off budget-conscious guests — but it shouldn’t. Yes, you can order a beautiful steak if that’s what you’re craving, but you can also order a burger that would feel right at home. The wide range of pricing on the menu means everyone in your party can order what fits their appetite (and their budget) without anyone feeling like they’re settling. Stack Burger Boathouse Similar story over at The Boathouse in Disney Springs. This waterfront restaurant looks and feels like a special-occasion splurge, with its vintage boat displays and lakeside views. But like Steakhouse 71, the menu spans from a solid burger to a serious steak or seafood dish. That flexibility means you can walk in for a casual bite or a celebratory dinner, and the restaurant will meet you exactly where you are, budget-wise. Yacht Club Sandwich The Plaza Restaurant The Plaza is a bit of a hidden gem tucked into Magic Kingdom, and it’s one of the most affordable table-service options in the entire park. It doesn’t get the hype of some of MK’s flashier restaurants, but that’s part of its charm — you get a sit-down meal, air conditioning, and a break from the crowds, all without the premium price of the park’s more famous eateries. The Plaza Restaurant Spice Road Table At Spice Road Table in Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion, you’re paying for shareable Mediterranean tapas — and that’s exactly what makes it feel like such a good value. Order a few small plates for the table, split them among your group, and suddenly that “expensive-looking” waterside restaurant with the gorgeous World Showcase Lagoon view feels a lot more reasonable per person than a plate of individual entrees would. Spice Road Table full spread Sebastian’s Bistro Sebastian’s Bistro at Caribbean Beach Resort has quietly become one of the best values in family-style dining. The prix fixe, family-style format means the whole table shares a spread of dishes for one set price, and lately that price has been notably more affordable than comparable family-style meals elsewhere on property. It’s an easy way to feed a group without stressing over individual menu prices. Taste of the Caribbean Platter The Polite Pig The Polite Pig in Disney Springs earned Michelin recognition — which sounds like the opposite of “affordable” — but it’s still a quick-service spot at heart. That means you get chef-driven, genuinely impressive barbecue without the table-service markup. It’s a rare case where the accolades outpace the price tag. Butcher Board Cake Bake Shop The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant is the wildcard on this list, because its affordability comes with an asterisk: go during lunch. That’s when the choose-two deal kicks in, letting you pair a soup, salad, or sandwich for a set price that’s a fraction of what you’d spend ordering dinner or a la carte. Time your visit right, and this favorite becomes a genuinely budget-friendly stop. French Ham & Brie Sandwich w/ Lemon Caesar Salad Choose Two At the end of the day, “affordable” at Disney World will always mean something a little different for every family and that’s exactly why it’s worth knowing which restaurants overdeliver on value. 7. It’s almost time for one of the best EPCOT festivals of the year, the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. This festival is also one of the most popular because it brings the Eat to the Beat concert series to EPCOT, as well as a variety of foods and beverages, the Eat to the Beat concert series, fun activities, and more. 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival display That also means that if you visit the festival on certain days, you are inevitably going to face some SERIOUS crowds, but there is a way to avoid most of that. So we’ve put together a list of dates when you should avoid the festival, if you can. The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival starts on August 27th and runs through November 21st. You don’t have to buy a separate ticket to attend the festival, but you will need a valid park ticket to enter EPCOT. The festival is generally a lot of fun with SO MUCH great foods and drinks to try, but if you’re going, we suggest you avoid the following dates: August 27th — Opening Day The very worst day to visit the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is on the first day, which is August 27th. That’s because EVERYONE wants to check out the festival, plus many of us in the media are there to get you all the festival details, and you will run into long lines for pretty much every food booth. Crowds on opening day in 2025 If you can only avoid one day, this is the one you should avoid at all costs. Plus, we’ll be there to cover it for you, so you can sit at home and enjoy it from the comfort of your couch through us (plus, we’ll make sure you know which food and drinks are the best to get). August 29th — Opening Weekend Likewise, the first Saturday of the festival is generally very crowded because those people who couldn’t go on opening day due to work will be there on that first Saturday, when they’re off. It’s not QUITE as crowded as opening day, but it’s close. You’ll also run into crowds on opening day weekend So if you can, also avoid the opening weekend of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. Weekends, in general If you can avoid weekends, that’s probably a good idea, too. Weekends are when a lot of locals visit the festival because, once again, they’re off work and they can pop into the parks each weekend to try something new. You’ll run into some crowds on Saturdays and Sundays. Most weekends are busy, too The best time to visit the festival is generally Mondays through Thursdays, although Fridays are usually not TOO busy. September 5-7th — Labor Day Labor Day weekend is always one of the most crowded weekends in Disney World. Many people have all three days off, which means they’re headed to Disney World to enjoy some downtime. That means lots of extra folks are also visiting EPCOT for the festival. Labor Day crowds in EPCOT If you can avoid visiting EPCOT during Labor Day weekend, your EPCOT Food & Wine Festival experience will be much less stressful. October 10th-12th — Indigenous Peoples’ Day Weekend Another long weekend for many people happens on October 10th through 12th, which is Indigenous Peoples’ Day Weekend. Three days off means more time in the parks, which also means more people in EPCOT. This is prime festival time right here! Indigenous Peoples’ Day in EPCOT The general rule of thumb is to avoid holidays and long weekends, if you can. November 11th — Veterans Day Speaking of holidays, Veterans Day falls on a Wednesday this year, and that’s probably going to be when many locals will visit EPCOT because they’ll have the day off from work (and many kids are out of school). So that could be one of the busiest weekdays you’ll see during the festival. Magic Kingdom So if you’re visiting Disney World that week, you may want to visit EPCOT on any other day than Wednesday. November 21st — Last day Finally, don’t visit the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival on the last day. This is when a lot of people head to EPCOT to enjoy the final day of the festival and squeeze in one last bit of eating and drinking around the food booths. So if you can visit the festival before that, well, that’s probably your best bet. EPCOT Food & Wine Festival crowds We hope this gives you a good idea of when to plan (and when not to plan) your trip to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. 9. Changes are EVERYWHERE around Disney World right now — a brand-new hotel is being built near Magic Kingdom, the BoardWalk is welcoming new restaurants and stores, attractions are currently being updated, and new lands are being built around two parks! Piston Peak Construction While EPCOT has been on the quieter side of change lately, one of its pavilions in the World Showcase is preparing for some change! If past years are any indication, the Germany Pavilion is getting ready for some change — here’s what we know! The Germany Pavilion has actually been the “hub” of construction in EPCOT lately, with a majority of the Volkskunst store being closed, as well as the public bathrooms being covered by construction walls. If this is the change you think we’re talking about, think again — the Germany Pavilion will be getting ANOTHER change soon! Germany Bathroom Construction Fall is right around the corner, and with that season comes some specially themed treats! 10. If you’ve ever visited Disneyland Paris, you know that getting from the airport to the park can be a little tricky sometimes, but there are usually numerous options available. Disneyland Paris You can take a magical shuttle to take you directly to the hotel you’re staying at, you can rent a car, or take public transportation, like the TGV highspeed train. If you’re traveling to Paris soon, though, there’s been a change in transportation you need to know about, as it’ll likely reroute your path to the park. For the next few weeks, one of the most popular ways to get to Disneyland Paris (and one of the easiest) is experiencing disruptions that are about to make your trip a little more difficult. When traveling with Île-de-France Mobilités, the public transportation system, you can usually get to Disneyland Paris by taking just one train. You’ll board an eastbound RER A train, remain aboard until the Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy stop, and find that you come out beside Disney Village, bringing you right near the entrances to both Disneyland Paris and Disney Adventure World. That’s not the case for the next few weeks, though. Mickey and Minnie in Disneyland Paris From August 8th through August 23rd, the RER A is interrupted from Noisy-le-Grand to Mont d’Est to Vincennes, meaning that you can’t get to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy unless you board at Noisy Champs, which is the stop just before Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. Now, the Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station is still getting RER A trains from the east side of the interruption, but the problem for Disneyland Paris travelers comes in the middle of their journey. ©Île-de-France Mobilités So what should travelers do instead? Well, the recommendation from Île-de-France Mobilités is to take the RER A towards Boissy-Saint-Léger to Nogent-sur-Marne, then get on the replacement bus to Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d’Est, then take the RER A to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy. Note, though, that if you need to get back into Paris in the evening after your park day, you’ll want to allow for more travel time. The last train from Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy to reach Paris is at 11:14 PM. ©Île-de-France Mobilités We know this can seem stressful, so we recommend allowing more travel time than you typically would if you’re traveling this month. Again, this will only last through August 23rd, so there are only a few more weeks to go! More Recent Disneyland Paris News! 12. Disney World park hours usually stay pretty steady, but it’s incredibly important to check them before your trip anyway, because it IS possible for park hours to change unexpectedly. Hollywood Studios Sometimes the park hours change is due to a special party, such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which closes the park for non-party guests at 6 PM. If that was your day to head into the park and you didn’t check the hours first, you’ll likely find yourself disappointed that you don’t get a full day, even though you paid the same price as if you were getting one. Other times, the parks close early for no publicly stated reason, and that’s exactly why you won’t want to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios on this ONE October day. If you’re planning a Disney World trip for October, you’ll want to take a close look at October 20th. While the park is usually open until around 9 PM each day, the park will be closing early at 5 PM. Disney has not revealed what the early closure is for, and it’s common that they often don’t disclose such information, so we’re not expecting to see an announcement. ©Disney These early closures are usually due to private events happening in the parks, which, as you can imagine, is quite expensive. However, we’ve seen large companies rent out the parks for a few hours in the past, and therefore it’s possible that’s what’s happening here as well. Based on past experiences, it’s our assumption that crowds around Hollywood Studios during operating hours will likely be lower than usual, as most people traveling in for their trips want to spend a whole day in the park. This means that for locals, or those who are more interested in lower crowds than having a full day in the parks, it’s a great day to visit. It also means that you can expect crowds to be higher at the other parks, most likely EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. Hey Buzz! The same principle applies throughout October 31st for Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and will also be true in both Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios during the holiday season this year. Both parks will close early on their respective party days for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights, so planning around crowds does become more challenging. 14. We’ve got some bad news for those thinking of staying at Wilderness Lodge, because the resort has been having a pretty hard time for the past few months. Wilderness Lodge in Disney World Back in June, the AC in the entire resort shut down for a number of days. Yes, in the middle of summer — it was exactly as bad as you think it was. Now, part of the resort is facing yet ANOTHER major problem — the water is currently out in Boulder Ridge, and there’s no telling when it’ll be back up. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is located closest to Magic Kingdom, and is just a short waterway away from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. You’ll also find Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground not far away, yet it does often feel like you’re a bit separated from the rest of the resort. If you’re looking for a hotel that makes you feel like you’re in nature without actually BEING in nature, this is a great choice. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge However, the water in all of Boulder Creek, a section of the hotel that’s separate from the main building, has been off since Saturday night, and as of Sunday afternoon, still wasn’t back on. We overheard Cast Members talking about needing more buckets, which we’re assuming meant they’re giving guests buckets of water to use to flush the toilets in their rooms, and it was also mentioned that the showers by the Boulder Ridge pool are open to use, but showering in public is SO different than being able to shower in the privacy of your room. Wilderness Lodge While we were investigating, we also ran into a young man staying at the resort and watched as he circled the seemingly closed pool area, looking to get in to use the showers. We were able to connect him with a Cast Member, who did confirm the pool area is open for the showers, but it was closed for swimming due to inclement weather, so there were no lifeguards around. We could understand the hesitation of not wanting to just walk into a pool area that looked totally closed! Regardless, if you’re staying at the resort currently, even if the pool is closed due to inclement weather, the showers should be available for you to use while the water is out. Public bathrooms We also noticed that the bathrooms in the main lobby of Wilderness Lodge — NOT Boulder Ridge — were closed when we visited, but the ice machine was still up and running. This is certainly a very interesting, less-than-ideal situation, and we’re very curious to know if Disney will be offering guests any reimbursements or compensation for the unexpected issue. Closed bathrooms in the lobby We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this as we hear more, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! 17. We’re suckers for a lot of Disney merchandise; that’s a fact for sure, but sometimes we see something that really makes us stop in our tracks…for better or for worse. @disneyparks on Instagram With this newest release, we’ll be honest, we’re a little stuck in the middle. Disney just announced the arrival of Batuu Adventure Buddies at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park, and the first one is none other than an adorable Ewok. There’s only one problem — what in the WORLD is going on with his teeth? The Ewok will be the first in the new Batuu Adventure Buddy collection, which will officially launch in Disneyland on August 13th, but don’t worry, he’ll be making his way to Disney World at a later date. You can find him at the Droid Depot, and more friends are on the way, which is all fine and dandy, but these TEETH?! Disney, what is happening? ©Disney From afar, it doesn’t look super noticeable. Don’t worry, we’ve done the work for you — let’s zoom in, shall we? ©Disney AHH! Yep, there they are. It’s a small detail, yes, but from the moment we first saw it, now it’s all we can see. However, we will admit that this little guy has a lot of fun functionalities that will likely distract you from the horror story that is those teeth. The Ewok is interactive and has expressive eyes, motorized facial expressions, and a mix of signature sounds, including giggles, laughs, and chatter to showcase its personality, and the other two coming to the collection have the same features. @disneyparks on Instagram The Ewoks can also interact with other droids built in the Droid Depot, which is quite impressive. If you tap a single time on its head or tap twice on its belly, you’ll get a random response, but three quick, consecutive head taps enable two special animations: the Endor Dance Party or the Forest Call Chain. Your buddy can also be further customized with optional accessories that are available for an additional fee inside the Droid Depot. The food, toys, and tools that come with the gear sets connect directly to your pal’s left hand and trigger unique animations, sounds, and reactions — they’re more than just for show! ©Disney We’re very excited these are also coming to Disney World, because despite the teeth, we’ve got a feeling they’ll be quite popular, especially with their interactive elements. No release date has yet been announced for the other two toys coming to the collection, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out, so stay tuned to DFB! Disney Is About to Level Up the Snack Carts. How? 18. When we’re in EPCOT craving a snack, the Japan Pavilion is our go-to spot. Where else in Disney World can you get sushi, ramen, and boozy shaved ice all in one place? Tamago Sando We love the quick-service restaurant Katsura Grill for a quick and authentic Japanese meal, but recently, we saw a new menu item that stopped us in our tracks: Disney World now has egg sandos! Tamago Sando with Panko Fried Shrimp is $12 at Katsura Grill. This is a Japanese-style egg sandwich made of fluffy egg salad tucked into buttery brioche, finished with a sweet-and-savory tonkatsu sauce. Tamago Sando The bun is soft, but isn’t the ‘buttery brioche’ described on the menu. This is more like a hot dog bun in taste and texture. The egg filling is a firm, chopped texture throughout, not a creamy, smooth egg salad; think a chopped hard-boiled egg without much flavor. The panko-fried shrimp has a crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft shrimp center, and shrimp is the most prominent flavor of the sandwich. The sauce adds a balance of sweetness and tanginess in each bite. Tamago Sando If you love shrimp and savory seafood flavors, this sandwich is worth a try! It’s well-balanced with the shrimp and tangy sauce. However, this isn’t your traditional Japanese egg sandwich, so you might be disappointed if you’re expecting something more authentic. Tamago Sando We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all of the new food at Disney. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World food reviews! Wait, WHAT?! You can order it as either an alcoholic cocktail or a non-alcoholic mocktail at Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs. ©Disney Plus, when you purchase the Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Weeks Drink, you’ll receive a complimentary Half & Half appetizer! You can only get one free appetizer per DVC Member a week, but if you’re already getting the drink, you’re saving $17. What a steal! Doesn’t this look delicious? The Half & Half appetizer is half guacamole verde, half toasted pumpkin seed “hummus”, jícama, and cucumber, served with tortilla chips. We’ve tried this before, and the pumpkin hummus was extremely creamy with lots of flavor and spice. While we thought the guacamole was good, it wasn’t super special. The Half and Half The pumpkin seeds, jalapenos, and onion on top add the perfect amount of flavor. The red salsa on the side had a great smokey flavor with a bit of spice while the green salsa was a bit spicer than the other options. Overall, we really loved the pumpkin hummus the most and if you like creamy, pumpkin flavors, you’ll love this! If you aren’t a huge fan of spice, steer clear. 22. When we’re looking for a delicious treat in Disney World and we don’t mind splurging a bit, we head straight to Disney’s BoardWalk to stop by The Cake Bake Shop! It’s time to visit Cake Bake! This spot often gets new cake flavors that we hear about, and then immediately hop in line to grab, because we’ve VERY rarely been disappointed by anything here. Yet another cake slice has dropped, and here’s what we’ll say right off the bat — chocolate lovers are going to ADORE this treat! The new cake slice that recently debuted is the S’mores Cake Slice for $22. This is three layers of French Valrhona chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache, graham cracker, and toasted marshmallow buttercream, then frosted with dark fudge frosting and topped with toasted Italian meringue. S’mores Cake Slice This cake was very chocolatey, which was definitely the strongest flavor. The marshmallow buttercream balanced with the chocolate well and created that s’mores flavor the name implies. There was very little graham cracker, sadly, and we would have loved to see more to help break up the soft texture here a bit. A small complaint for a cake as moist and delicious as this one, though, so if you’re a chocolate fan, we think it’s absolutely still worth the grab. The topping did melt off nearly immediately in the Florida sun, too, so that’s also something to keep in mind. It’s a very chocolatey cake! 23. Picking a Loungefly for Disney World requires strategy. You need enough room for your phone, portable charger, sunglasses, emergency snacks, and the seven receipts you swear you will organize later. But it also has to match the park. Carrying a pirate bag through Adventureland feels intentional. Carrying it through EPCOT after three festival booths feels like you may have commandeered the wrong vessel. We found some of the BEST Loungefly bags and accessories for each Disney World park, including choices inspired by classic attractions, new movies, and characters who deserve considerably more park merchandise. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Here is what we would carry to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Magic Kingdom Loungefly Disney Villains Club Mini Backpack Magic Kingdom has spent decades building its reputation around princesses, fireworks, and cheerful mice. The Disney Villains would presumably like a word. Disney has announced a new Villains-themed land for Magic Kingdom with two major attractions, dining, and shopping planned for the expansion. Disney has not announced an opening date yet, but the villains are officially waiting in the wings. Maleficent in the house! That makes the Loungefly Disney Villains Club Mini Backpack an excellent bag for getting ahead of the trend. The design feels like you have stumbled into a suspiciously exclusive meeting attended by Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Ursula, and some more Disney Villains! It has enough dark Disney energy to stand out against Cinderella Castle without looking like part of a Halloween costume. ©Amazon Carry it to Magic Kingdom now, then bring it back when the new land eventually opens. You will look prepared. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Jack Sparrow Pirates of the Caribbean Cosplay Mini Backpack Some Disney World outfits are inspired by characters. Others perhaps by popular attractions or films. The Loungefly Disney Jack Sparrow Pirates of the Caribbean Cosplay Mini Backpack borrows details from Captain Jack Sparrow’s delightfully chaotic wardrobe, including textured materials, embroidered elements, metallic accents, buttons, and an enamel zipper charm. Jack Sparrow This is the bag to carry when your Magic Kingdom itinerary includes Pirates of the Caribbean, a DOLE Whip, and at least 20 minutes spent browsing pirate merchandise you absolutely did not plan to buy. ©Amazon The cosplay design is detailed enough to become the center of an outfit, so you can keep everything else fairly simple. Add a loose white shirt, dark shorts, or a red accessory, and suddenly you have a low-effort Disney Bound that looks suspiciously high-effort. It also has the advantage of being recognizable without relying on mouse ears. Your head will appreciate the afternoon off. view ON AMAZON EPCOT Loungefly Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Ravager Badge Mini Backpack EPCOT contains the World Showcase, experimental agriculture, space travel, and a talking turtle. Naturally, we needed a bag capable of handling several competing themes at once. The Loungefly Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Ravager Badge Mini Backpack is our pick for anyone planning to visit Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The attraction anchors the Guardians firmly inside EPCOT’s World Discovery neighborhood, where guests board a rotating coaster for an intergalactic chase through space and time. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind The bag is inspired by the Ravager badge from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Its sleek design is less cartoonish than some character-shaped Loungeflys, which makes it easy to wear beyond the parks. It includes adjustable straps, side pockets, a front zippered compartment, and appliquéd and printed details. ©Amazon Pair it with a Cosmic Rewind T-shirt, then spend the rest of the day telling everyone which song you got. EPCOT security may escort you out if you fail to mention it at least six times. view ON AMAZON Loungefly x Disney Three Caballeros Zip-Around Wallet EPCOT fans understand the power of a deeply specific character reference. Mickey Mouse merchandise is lovely. Donald Duck dressed for a musical boat ride inside the Mexico Pavilion, however, tells people you don’t visit Mexico just for the margaritas. He’s #1 The Loungefly x Disney Three Caballeros Zip-Around Wallet features Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles in a colorful design inspired by the trio. The zip-around style helps keep cards, cash, and gift cards contained, even after you have opened the wallet at every festival booth between Mexico and Canada. ©Amazon A wallet is also a smart option for EPCOT guests who already have a neutral park bag but want to add a little personality. Slip it into your backpack, belt bag, or tote, and you still get the satisfaction of pulling out The Three Caballeros every time another snack needs purchasing. Could Disney put more of The Three Caballeros around EPCOT? Yes. Until that important work is completed, we will carry them ourselves. view ON AMAZON Disney’s Hollywood Studios Loungefly Disney Pixar Toy Story 5 To Infinity and Beyond Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear Mini Backpack Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the natural habitat of the franchise-themed Loungefly. You can walk from Andy’s backyard to a galaxy far, far away in a matter of minutes, which means subtlety has already packed its bags and left the park. Toy Story Land The Loungefly Disney Pixar Toy Story 5 To Infinity and Beyond Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear Mini Backpack celebrates the trio at the center of the Toy Story films. It also arrives at exactly the right time. Toy Story 5 opened in theaters on June 19th, 2026, bringing Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang back for another adventure. ©Amazon The bag is an easy match for Toy Story Land, especially if your morning plans include Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, or a breakfast totchos situation at Woody’s Lunch Box. It is bright, immediately recognizable, and packed with enough character detail to carry an otherwise simple park outfit. It also provides a diplomatic solution for families divided between Woody people and Buzz people. Jessie is there to supervise. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Star Wars The Mandalorian Child in Cradle Mini Backpack This bag appears to be transporting a tiny alien baby through Hollywood Studios. The Loungefly Star Wars The Mandalorian Child in Cradle Mini Backpack recreates Grogu’s floating cradle, complete with his face, dimensional ears, embroidered details, and a tiny froggy zipper pull. ©Amazon It is absurdly cute. This bag belongs in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where you can carry Grogu past the Millennium Falcon, order blue milk, and quietly judge anyone who still only refers to him as “Baby Yoda” — we all know his name now. The Mandalorian The sculpted elements make this one more dramatic than a standard printed backpack, so expect attention from other guests. You may also find yourself instinctively protecting it in crowded queues. This is the way. view ON AMAZON Disney’s Animal Kingdom Loungefly Disney Pixar A Bug’s Life Princess Atta Mini Backpack Animal Kingdom merchandise tends to favor lions, giraffes, elephants, and whatever animal has recently appeared on a popular T-shirt. The bugs have been waiting patiently. The Loungefly Disney Pixar A Bug’s Life Princess Atta Mini Backpack gives Princess Atta the royal treatment with a figural design, iridescent wings, and a matching ear headband that can be stored directly on the bag. ©Amazon Yes, the bag comes with its own ears. The garden-inspired colors and wing details fit naturally into Animal Kingdom, particularly around Discovery Island and the lush trails throughout the park. And for those who remember that A Bug’s Life walked so that Zootopia could run. Discovery Island Trails Wear the matching ears when you want the full Princess Atta effect, then attach them to the backpack when the afternoon humidity begins negotiating directly with your scalp. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Zootopia 2 Mini Backpack Zootopia has a much stronger presence at Animal Kingdom now, which makes this bag’s park assignment easy. Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opened inside the Tree of Life Theater in November 2025, bringing Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other residents of Zootopia into the park’s attraction lineup. Zootopia: Better Zoogether! The Loungefly Disney Zootopia 2 Mini Backpack features characters from the sequel with a cotton-candy-inspired design. Nick Wilde appears on the front pocket, while other characters cover the main bag in sugary, pastel versions of themselves. Orange-and-white striped straps finish the look. This is easily the sweetest bag on the list, both visually and in its apparent commitment to turning foxes into carnival food. ©Amazon Carry it to the Zootopia show, then continue through Discovery Island for photos near the Tree of Life. It adds a bright splash of color to an Animal Kingdom outfit without defaulting to traditional safari prints. Nick Wilde would probably sell it to you at a significant markup. Fortunately, Amazon requires fewer undercover investigations. view ON AMAZON Finding the right Disney World Loungefly is partly about storage and partly about choosing which fictional character gets to carry your portable charger. Magic Kingdom fans can lean into pirates and villains. EPCOT has options for Marvel fans and The Three Caballeros loyalists. Hollywood Studios practically demands a Toy Story or Star Wars bag, while Animal Kingdom is finally offering more opportunities for bugs, bunnies, and suspiciously charming foxes. Loungefly options galore Of course, these are only a few of the options available. Our Amazon Storefront has over 100 Loungefly backpacks, wallets, and bags that work for Disney and Universal vacations. Take a look before your next trip but consider yourself warned. Loungefly shopping has a curious habit of beginning with “I just need one park bag” and ending with a dedicated shelving unit. view OUR AMAZON STOREFRONT We’re always hunting for useful Disney essentials, new merchandise, and park accessories, so keep checking DFB for more finds! 24. Many of us know the stress of waiting in a virtual line for the chance to hopefully shop for that exclusive new item or collection that you’ve had your eye on. You watch the clock like a hawk, have memorized your card information (or already have it in your computer), and are hoping the virtual line will land in your favor. Loungefly Ears To combat this issue, Loungefly has announced that they’ll introduce something new to make it fair for everyone, but it also leaves it up to chance. It’s called Pre-Authorization, and we’ve got a feeling we’ll start seeing it for specific new collections VERY soon, including ones seen at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This new process is called Pre-Authorization, and Loungefly describes it as giving you the “opportunity to put in your credit card info for the item you want to enter for a chance to purchase that item.” This won’t be the case for all Loungefly drops, just online special drops, such as con exclusives, such as some of the ones from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that will be available online, as well as at the con. ©Loungefly (2024) To clarify, this won’t affect anyone shopping IN PERSON at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this upcoming weekend, nor will it currently affect any in-person shopping events with Loungefly bags. This is just for special online releases that often garner those massive online lines. How exactly will it work? Well, a pre-authorization window will open for a few days for select special items. On the item(s) you want the chance to buy, you’ll hit “Enter Now” and be taken to where you’ll put in your card info. A temporary hold for the item’s amount will be put on your card, but the charge will only go through if you are randomly selected as a winner for that item. If you aren’t randomly selected, the hold will disappear. If you win, you will receive an email confirming your item has shipped, and you’ll be charged on the card you used for pre-authorization, but if you don’t win, no email will be sent. EPCOT Loungefly Bag Yes, this means that it won’t matter anymore what time you get in line; everyone will be selected at random for the chance to receive the item. Loungefly puts it well, saying, “Instead of having to ensure you have all your credit card info ready to go on launch day, all of your info will already be on file and ready to go if you’re selected as a winner for the accessory you want.” Now, if there is stock left of an item after the pre-authorization period, the rest of the stock will release online as normal for anyone to purchase, without the need for any pre-authorization. The pre-authorization window for D23 exclusives will open on August 10th, 2026 at 9am PT, and close on August 13th, 2026 at 11:59pm PT. Winners will be selected on August 14th, 2026 at 12am PT. ©Disney Want additional chances to “win” the chance to buy an item? You can sign up for Loungefly Fan Rewards, which will gain you an extra entry to purchase these special items by redeeming Fan Rewards points. This is completely free to join, and not only will you get 10 points for every $1 spent, but you’ll also get 100 points just for signing up. More Recent Loungefly News! 25. runDisney weekends are some of the most magical and exhausting experiences you can have at Disney World, but it does come with a price. runDisney merch Between the early morning wake-up calls, the character photo stops mid-course, and the finish line medals that somehow make every mile worth it, it’s no wonder these events have such dedicated fans. But if you’ve ever crossed the finish line and then looked at your bank account, you know that runDisney weekends have a way of costing a lot more than just your race registration fee. Between the Expo, the parks, and all the extras that come with race weekend, the costs can add up fast — and in ways you might not expect. Here are six expenses that tend to sneak up on runDisney participants, so you can plan ahead and enjoy your race weekend without the financial regret. 1. Expo Merchandise (Pins, Shirts, Jackets, and More) Walking into the Health & Fitness Expo without a budget in mind is a dangerous game. The Expo is packed wall-to-wall with exclusive merchandise you genuinely cannot get anywhere else — event-specific pins, shirts, jackets, and accessories that are only sold that weekend. Because the items are limited edition, there’s a real sense of urgency to buy now or regret it later, and that urgency can add up to a surprisingly large receipt. Pins alone can turn into an expensive habit if you’re a collector, and jackets and pullovers commemorating your race can run well into the pricier end of Disney merchandise. It’s worth deciding before you even walk through the Expo doors how much you’re comfortable spending on race-specific gear. Loungefly and other merch at a runDisney expo 2. The runDisney x Brooks Shoes Every year, Brooks releases special edition runDisney-themed shoes that coordinate with each race weekend’s theme, and they’ve become a must-have for a lot of runners. The catch is that these shoes are priced like any other performance running shoe — which is to say, not cheap — and the added “collectible” factor of the Disney design makes them tempting to buy even if you already own a solid pair of running shoes at home. If you’re planning to buy a pair, it’s a cost worth budgeting for separately from your race registration and travel costs, since it’s easy to treat it as an afterthought until you’re standing at the Brooks booth at the Expo. Mickey-themed shoes 3. Park Tickets (If You Aren’t an Annual Passholder) If you don’t hold an Annual Pass, park admission is one of the highest costs of a runDisney weekend that people tend to underestimate. Race registration does not include park admission, so if you want to experience the parks before or after your race — which most people do, especially if they’ve traveled a long way for the event — you’ll need to factor separate park tickets into your budget. Multi-day tickets for a long weekend can add a significant amount to your overall trip cost, and prices vary depending on the time of year and how many days you add. If you’re already an Annual Passholder, this is one expense you can cross off the list, but everyone else should build it into their runDisney budget from the very beginning. 2026 Springtime Surprise 4. Extra Snacks and Food You Didn’t Plan For This one is sneaky because it doesn’t feel like a big expense in the moment. Grabbing a snack every time you walk in and out of your resort’s quick-service location doesn’t feel like much of a splurge, but those small purchases add up fast over the course of a multi-day race weekend. Between pre-race fuel, post-race treats, and simply being surrounded by tempting food options at every turn, it’s easy to spend far more on food than you originally budgeted. Setting a rough daily food budget and being mindful of how often you’re popping in for “just a little something” can help keep this cost from quietly ballooning by the end of the trip. Runner’s Pack 5. Extra Ticketed Events runDisney weekends are packed with optional add-on experiences, and while they can be a great way to enhance your trip, they come with their own price tags on top of your race registration. Think Sunrise Yoga sessions during Princess Half Marathon Weekend, or After Hours events tied to the Food and Wine Festival during other race weekends. These experiences are usually a lot of fun and often sell out, but each one is a separate purchase that can add up if you sign up for several throughout the weekend. Before you register for a race, it’s worth browsing the full list of available add-on events so you can decide in advance which ones are worth the extra cost to you. ©Disney 6. Taking on a Challenge Signing up for a runDisney Challenge — running multiple races over the course of one weekend — comes with its own set of costs beyond the higher registration fee. Many runners find themselves investing in recovery gear, like recovery shoes or similar tools, to help their bodies bounce back between races. Fueling for three races (plus all the walking around the parks in between) also gets expensive, especially since many runners shift toward higher-protein meals to support their training and recovery, which can mean pricier food choices throughout the weekend. On top of that, you’re still budgeting for Expo merchandise and race outfits — and Challenge participants often want a coordinating outfit for each race, which multiplies that cost. If a Challenge is in your future, it’s worth building extra room into your budget for recovery, fuel, and gear well before race weekend arrives. 2026 Springtime Surprise Challenge Medal runDisney weekends are unforgettable, but they’re also an experience where the costs can quietly stack up if you’re not paying attention. 26. The Beak and Barrel is Disney World’s new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge in Magic Kingdom, which has been ultra-popular since it opened last August. Cocktails at The Beak and Barrel The bar counter used to be standing-room-only like Oga’s Cantina at Hollywood Studios, but now you can kick back and relax like a pirate with The Beak and Barrel’s new bar seating! The Beak and Barrel just got a whole lot more comfortable with new seats! For the first time ever, the bar counter at The Beak & Barrel has stools. These wooden barstools are ten times more comfortable than the old standing-room-only bar counter after a long day at Magic Kingdom. Go claim your seat, matey! ©Disney While you’re taking a seat at the bar on these new barstools, you’re probably wondering what drink to get. We’ve tried them all, starting with the Siren’s Whisper for $20. Its flavors are those of a typical rum punch. It is sweet and easy to drink, with a classic Caribbean flavor profile. Siren’s Whisper The Barrels Ablaze is $19, made with Jack Daniel’s Bonded Bourbon, Honey, Lemon, and Chile. This drink is very spicy and has a bit of a bite. If you enjoy more complex cocktails with dark liquor, this is for you. Barrels Ablaze And for a souvenir cup, the Plunderer’s Punch is $46. We thought the souvenir cup was gorgeous, and it actually holds a fair amount of drink. The cocktail itself doesn’t have a heavy rum flavor, but more of a hint of rum. We found this one to be very fruity, with a tropical flavor. Plunderer’s Punch We also tried the non-alcoholic Cursed Treasure, which costs $7.75. This one tasted almost like a cream soda, but without the carbonation. It’s heavy on the creaminess, and you get a toasted flavor from the cookie crumbs. We enjoyed this drink, but it is definitely on the sweeter side. Cursed Treasure We’re so excited to go back to The Beak and Barrel for these yummy drinks with new seating. 27. Things are ALWAYS changing in Disney World! Lately, it feels like the parks are entirely new places thanks to updates like the upcoming Villains Land, Piston Peak, Monsters, Inc. Land, and more. Mickey Pumpkin Wreath in Magic Kingdom! Each week, it feels like Disney is constantly dropping new information and more details. That’s why we like to do a weekly wrap-up of the biggest news so you don’t miss a single thing. Let’s dive into this week’s latest and greatest Disney World news! This week was full of those little updates that add up to be a big deal. From big construction changes to new menus, it was a very exciting week. Fall Decor Fall has officially arrived in Disney World! Disney covered the Magic Kingdom in autumn leaves and Mickey pumpkins overnight before our rope drop on Tuesday the 4th. Mickey pumpkins! The iconic fall decor is on the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station, which we always love to see. We can’t forget about the adorable pumpkins that sit in the middle of the gates; they’re a popular spot to take photos. A MAJOR CHANGE Just Hit Magic Kingdom The Diamond Horseshoe Disney announced on Wednesday that the Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom will become a cowboy-themed lounge for a limited time this fall. The Diamond Horseshoe will still accept reservations and welcome walk-ins, and Disney hasn’t yet announced a specific opening date or closing timeline for the change. ©Disney Disney also announced a brand-new menu for The Diamond Horseshoe with some cowboy-themed snacks and drinks! This new Savory Charcuterie Board is a meat lover’s dream, and you can wash it all down with lemonade, margaritas, and more. Disney promised the full menu is coming soon! BREAKING: HUGE Changes Announced for Magic Kingdom Restaurant Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicked off Friday, August 7th at Magic Kingdom. Ticket prices vary throughout the run of the event, with prices generally increasing as Halloween approaches. All About Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Tropical Americas Entrance The Tropical Americas land is replacing what used to be DinoLand, U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom, and it’s set to open in 2027. We’ve been watching the construction progress, and when we checked it out on Friday morning, we saw that the main entrance to the land is up! The new entrance?
