Disney World costs are rising AGAIN! Cinderella Castle Each year, around this time, Disney will raise costs on pretty much everything. From park tickets to hundreds of snacks, there are very few areas that remain untouched by the price hikes. While they’re mostly small, those small amounts can seriously add up over time. This time around, Disney’s special tour prices have also changed. If you wanted to see a special slice of Disney World, it might cost you more now! If you don’t know, there are tons of ways to experience Disney World, and it’s not just going to the theme parks and hotels. The holiday season is about to get a whole lot louder at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! From November 4 through January 6, The Electric Mayhem is putting its own spin on the season with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay, a limited-time experience turning their already legendary concert into a festive celebration filled with seasonal tunes and new surprises. The celebration begins before you even step inside G-Force Records. Festive music fills the courtyard surrounding the attraction’s iconic guitar marquee, setting the stage for a holiday concert that only The Electric Mayhem could deliver. New Holiday Moments Backstage Once inside G-Force Records, you’ll find Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips deep in rehearsals for their holiday spectacular. While the band puts the finishing touches on its seasonal set list, a few familiar Muppets friends stop by the studio to offer a helping hand… or at least try to. Of course, this is The Electric Mayhem we’re talking about. As the countdown to showtime continues, the band’s holiday preparations don’t exactly go according to plan. But that’s all part of the fun when your headliners are known more for rocking out than sticking to a schedule. You’ll be fully immersed in the story with the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, brought to life using motion-capture technology of Scooter the Muppet (yes, the actual adorable Muppet you see in the photo above). By recording and tracking Scooter’s performance, Walt Disney Imagineering was able to build and program a figure that looks, moves, and emotes exactly like Scooter should, right down to the small details. Joined by the finest audio engineers (all penguins, of course), Scooter is doing his best to convince The Electric Mayhem to stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans. But will it be enough to get the band across town and on stage in time? Thanks to the newest technological advancements from Muppet Labs, we’ll board a super-powered vehicle in the alleyway just behind Studio C known as the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.)! Cue The Carolers: The Holiday Set List Has Arrived What would a holiday concert be without a brand-new set list? For this seasonal celebration, The Electric Mayhem is bringing four new holiday-inspired tracks to Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, including collaborations with a few special guests. Here’s what’s on this limited-time holiday set list: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson Silver Bells – The Electric Mayhem ft. Cyndi Lauper Each song unwraps its own mix of holiday cheer, high-energy riffs, and rock star attitude, creating a concert-style experience like no other. So deck the halls and get ready to rock around the coaster track with The Electric Mayhem. Please sing the following to the tune of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree: “Rockin’ around the galaxy, it’s a happy holiday!“ Why did I begin this blog with such a galactically festive start, you may ask? I’ll tell you – from November 25 through January 6, 2027 at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will give guests the opportunity to defend the galaxy to the tune of three holiday songs. Seasonal Songs The holiday season is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World – across the resort, holiday décor, limited-time offerings, tasty seasonal treats, and holiday overlays are a gift the whole family can unwrap to enjoy together. At EPCOT, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30 to bring the traditions of global holidays to visitors. And in 2026, you’ll have an additional way to celebrate the holidays at EPCOT – at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This year, you’ll have the opportunity to get festive with three different seasonal songs shuffled to create a fresh experience for every ride. Check out the rockin’ holiday tracks you may hear November 25-January 12, 2027, on the attraction! “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams “Chrismas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra 8 “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Inside the World Discovery neighborhood at EPCOT, the Wonders of Xandar pavilion introduces park visitors to the culture and technology of the Xandarian people – but that culture exchange goes both ways. Hero of Xandar Star-Lord, a Terran himself who once visited EPCOT as a kid, is quick to share his own love of earthly rock ‘n’ roll music. Once it’s about time for the guests to save the galaxy from the latest threat (of course, it is about time. Have you not been paying attention?) the action is accompanied by one of six rockin’ songs. Each track gives its own vibe to the galaxy-saving experience, bringing the attraction to life in a way perfectly suited to the quirky humor and heart of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Outside of the holiday season, the save-the-galaxy soundtrack includes six songs from Terran musicians: “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps “Conga” by Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls “One Way or Another” by Blondie Find more information on festive happenings around the resort here on the Disney Parks Blog – and happy (early) holidays! 2026 EPCOT Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators Lineup 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Details Spaceship Earth to Receive Reimagining The post New Holiday Tracks Coming to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. At the Magic Kingdom, the turn of the calendar from October kickstarts the holiday season and leads to a slew of changes at Disney World’s original theme park in November. This year, one of those changes includes the closure of a beloved ride! Magic Kingdom Christmas Decor From the kickoff of a massively popular seasonal event — and the effects it has even on this without tickets — to holiday decorations, November marks some major changes heading into the end of the year. Christmas is Coming While the Halloween season and party dates run all the way until October 31st, elements of the Christmas season will begin sneaking in certain places as the month comes to an end. Then, as soon as Halloween ends, the bulk of decorations goes up just after Halloween in early November, usually being complete within the month’s opening days. In addition, holiday snacks will start popping up around the park (YUM!). Magic Kingdom Christmas Tree SNEAK PEEK at Disney’s 2026 Holiday Collection (Looks Like I’m Buying ANOTHER Backpack) Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Closure The beloved water flume is scheduled to close for what Disney is referring to as a “routine refurbishment” on November 2nd. While no reopening date has been specified, the official website states that the ride is “expected to reopen in December 2026.” If that preliminary timeline ends up being accurate — always remember that refurbishment length is subject to change — then the ride should be open for the later part of the holiday rush, but it’s still going to be down during some of the Magic Kingdom’s busiest weeks of the year. Of course, we’ll keep you updated with any announcements and news! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins… November will see the 2026 debut of the ever-popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. As usual, the event will offer special entertainment, like Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Club Tinsel, and Disney Junior Jingle Jam! Guests will also have access to Magic Kingdom attractions (some with Holiday overlays), photo opportunities with characters, exclusive treats, and tasty cookie and cocoa spots offering complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the party! Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Plus, several Magic Kingdom attractions will offer special Holiday overlays: Space Mountain will feature “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.” The Tomorrowland Speedway transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor, and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.” The Mad Tea Party becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.” Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns.” Of note, the Jingle Cruise can be enjoyed during the party or all day long at the Magic Kingdom. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.” Jingle Cruise Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party launches November 8th. Further November dates: 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, 27th and 29th. Let’s gooo! … And This Leads The Park To Close Early On Some Nights Non-party guests visiting the Magic Kingdom on the aforementioned dates should be aware that the party will have some major ramifications for their visit. For starters, the park closes to day guests at 6 PM, which means there won’t be Happily Ever After fireworks, late-night dinner reservations, or Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade on these nights. Welcome to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Happily Ever After Changes On non-Very Merry Christmas Party nights throughout November, the Happily Ever After fireworks show will take place at 8 PM each evening. Happily Ever After November 2026 brings a slew of changes to the Magic Kingdom, as the park prepares for the final quarter of the year. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is preparing to open a BRAND NEW THEMED LAND featuring those lovable monsters from Monsters. Inc.! Humans can visit Monstropolis soon, as the land will open in phases starting in 2027. ©Disney We’ve been keeping up with all the construction and screaming with excitement as we wait for every detail we can get our human hands on. Disney previously shared that this new land will be home to multiple eateries, including the iconic Harryhausen’s from the original movie, along with Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, but we didn’t have many more details — until now. It’s time to dig into new details about what we can expect from these restaurant menus, along with a first look at the food! Disney shared that these restaurants will feature “grossly fun” food: familiar flavors reimagined with monster-inspired twists. At Harryhausen’s, some of the menu items the team is exploring include ramen bowls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors, but with “monster-sized personality.” The dishes will feature familiar, classic ingredients like rich tonkotsu broth and alkaline ramen noodles, plus others with monster twists like fishcake sliced to look like eyeballs and green eggs! ©Disney Over at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, the vibes are all about Monsters University, and this quick-service restaurant will feel like a beloved pizza spot where generations of monster college students gathered with friends after class. Not only that, but a staple from the franchise will make its debut at this spot: Blort. Blort is one of the most popular soft drinks in all of Monstropolis, but this will be the first time any human has ever tasted it! Expect to see something like a purple frozen spin on the soda topped with a Scream Apple Foam that’s so tasty, it’s scary. ©Disney In August 2026, Disney revealed a sneak peek at the Sushi Chef Audio-Animatronic coming to Harryhausen’s! Just like in the movie, guests at the restaurant can watch as the chef’s tentacles whip up Monster-worthy creations. This spot will open during the initial opening phase in 2027 — we can’t wait! ©Disney Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza is inspired by Archie, Fear Tech’s beloved six-legged mascot, but after years of being ‘borrowed’ by mischievous MU students, he’s become a fan favorite on both campuses. This restaurant will also open during the initial opening phase in 2027. Monstropolis Entrance We’ll be on the lookout for additional news about Monstropolis, including full menus for these restaurants and more. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and beyond! Check out more Monstropolis news at the links below! Next year, the gates of Monstropolis from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, inviting humans into this monster-filled metropolis for the first time ever. Guests of all ages will have the chance to step into a bustling city full of laughs, adventures, and some monstrously delicious dishes. Before guests can enjoy their first bites and celebratory toasts at the iconic Harryhausen’s and the all-new Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, Disney culinary and beverage experts face an unusual challenge: creating food that feels authentic to monsters while remaining delicious for humans. This monstrously talented team is bringing memorable food moments from the films to life by taking characters, locations and even the tiniest details from the films and turning them into experiences guests can actually see, smell, and taste. To learn more about how the team is bringing the flavors of Monstropolis to life, we recently sat down with Chef Brian Piasecki, Director of Culinary and Concept Development, and Evan Rosenthal, Beverage Director – two of the creative minds developing the menus – for a sneak-shriek! A Taste of What’s Coming From the streets of Monstropolis to the food on your plate, this land will be packed with monster-sized personality, and its dining experiences are no exception. The unique creative challenge of creating menus fit for a monster but still appetizing to us humans led to a series of questions this culinary team never thought they’d ask themselves: Do they slurp? Do they chew? Is this too many eyeballs? “There were so many moments where we asked, ‘Is this too much?'” said Evan. “And sometimes we’d hear back, ‘No. Can we take it further? Can we make it brighter, bolder, and more interesting?’ Those are the moments of true collaboration.” “Monstropolis is full of fun, adventure, zaniness, and craziness,” Brian explained. “We’re taking familiar dishes and adding unexpected twists that feel authentic to this world.” The result is something the culinary team affectionately calls “grossly fun” food: familiar flavors reimagined with playful monster-inspired twists. Two New Restaurants Coming to Monstropolis Two new-to-human restaurants will come alive in Monstropolis and invite guests of all ages in for a bite, slurp or chomp! At Harryhausen’s, Imagineers are building what you saw in the film – including its head sushi chef, a new Audio-Animatronic figure you’ll see using eight talented tentacles to prep food in the center of the dining space. The table-service restaurant will offer a vibrant dining experience that feels like it’s straight out of the movie and features more than just sushi. While the teams have room to invent new menu items and experiences, every decision starts with staying true to what fans know and love about Monstropolis from the screen. “In a place like Harryhausen’s, it’s the swanky place that you go for a night out, but we want it to be fun for guests of all ages,” said Evan. “Making sure that the menu appeals to younger guests, to older guests, and then challenging ourselves and taking things that we love and saying, is there something we can add that gets people talking about it and gets them to come back because it’s delicious and entertaining.” Some of the menu items being explored at Harryhausen’s include iconic ramen bowls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors, but with monster-sized personality. The dishes will feature familiar, classic ingredients like rich tonkotsu broth and alkaline ramen noodles, plus a few others with playful, monster-y twists like fishcake sliced to look like eyeballs and green eggs. Just down the street, Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza showcases a completely different side of Monstropolis. Inspired by Monsters University, this quick-service restaurant will feel like the beloved pizza spot where generations of monster college students gathered with friends after class. “When ideating the menu, we kept those thoughts of nostalgia in the front of our minds, remembering what we loved from our neighborhood pizza shops as kids, and finding a way to add those elements of fun unexpectedness,” said Evan. “At its core, it still feels like the pizza shop that you want to go back to time after time.” A staple from Pixar’s Monsters University will make its real-world debut at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza. Blort is one of the most popular soft drinks in all of Monstropolis, but no human has ever seen it or tasted it, giving Disney beverage teams the opportunity to dream big. The result? Maybe it’s a purple frozen spin on Monstropolis’ favorite soda topped with a Scream Apple Foam that’s so tasty, it’s scary. Together, Harryhausen’s and Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza offer two distinct ways to experience everyday life in Monstropolis, from a lively night out on the town to a favorite hangout for Monsters University’s finest students. All Eyes on Monstropolis Dining When thinking of the creative direction behind the food that fuels our favorite monsters, the culinary team worked together with Walt Disney Imagineering, studying the rich storytelling in Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University to cook up menus that guests of all ages will love. “The best part of our job is that with every project and every story, we get to see it through a new lens and then add things to it that feel uniquely Disney and can’t be replicated anywhere else,” said Evan. “Whether that’s with one eyeball or dozens of them.” And if you’re wondering whether there can be too many eyeballs on the menu? The team already has the answer: you can never have enough eyeballs in Monstropolis! Amid all the fun of finding ingredients to make dishes playfully monster-inspired and showcasing the iconic dining locations from the films, the heart of this new land is its storytelling. Each dish and experience is thoughtfully designed to create meaningful memories for fans and families, inviting them to step through the screen and into the beloved story of Monsters, Inc. in a way like never before. We can’t wait for you to experience Monstropolis when it welcomes humans in for the first time in 2027. With two dining experiences ready to serve up many laugh-powered flavors, start working up an appetite now and save some room for the delicious creations that will leave you growling for more! It’s time to set sail… however, this Disney cruise will be like no other! For the next three days I’m taking you with me on a scavenger hunt aboard the Disney Wish to find clues about the new experiences and offerings coming to Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Believe. I’ll be joining a hosted group of content creators and media who will be coming onboard this week to help tell the story of the Disney Believe. It’s up to us to solve all the mysteries before the ship’s reveal takes place later this week. I hope you’ll follow along, share your guesses, and discover if you’re right by tuning in this Wednesday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. ET on the Disney Parks YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The livestream for the official reveal will announce all the news hinted at during the scavenger hunt, including Disney Believe’s homeport, itineraries, themed venues, and entertainment. Where do I watch the livestream? See the livestream on @DisneyParks social channels to tune in to the show. Now, who’s ready to decipher some clues? Day One: The Disney Believe Scavenger Hunt Begins with Embarkation Day The excitement was palpable as everyone gathered in Luna to hear the opening remarks for this one-of-a-kind experience. To my surprise, we had the most special guest kick things off for us – Trent Hitchcock, the opening Cruise Director for the Disney Believe! For those of you who don’t know Trent yet, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to the person who will be overseeing the entertainment, youth spaces, and recreation onboard the newest Disney Cruise Line ship. He passed along a few nuggets of wisdom to our group, arming us with the scavenger hunt tips we’ll need to uncover the secrets of the Disney Believe before the ship is revealed. And he let us know that every task has a meaning and every clue is intentional. The First Puzzle The first task was a group puzzle. As the crowd dispersed into three separate groups, each team went to work to decode the hidden meaning behind their challenge, looking for a single number. All at once, numbers were shouted in the crowd as people started to decipher their puzzle. “6, 7, no… it has to be 3!” Finally, the numbers 7-2-3 were displayed on stage. But what did it mean? “Well, 723 is the Disney Believe,” shared Trent. “You see, when cruise ships are built at a shipyard, they are assigned a hull number. Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering have lots of fun hiding that number in the design as a little nod to every ship’s beginning. And at Meyer Werft Shipyard, the Disney Believe’s hull designation is – you guessed it – 723! Which means… we have some news from the shipyard.” And with that the president of Disney Signature Experiences, Natacha Rafalski came to the stage to share our first bit of news! Just a few days ago, the team celebrated a new milestone for the Disney Believe by holding the ship’s keel laying ceremony. Honoring a longstanding maritime custom, a specially crafted coin featuring Tinker Bell was ceremonially welded to the ship’s keel block to bring good fortune to the ship and its future crew. Starting our Story-Hunt with Hugo and Beatrice After getting a first look at photos from the keel laying ceremony, we were joined by Hugo and Beatrice, a pair of Story Sea-kers that joined our group just for this special celebration. These lively travelers and explorers, known for story searching themselves, helped us kick start our own story hunt to uncover the tales behind the Disney Believe. With our 723 warm up complete, everyone was ready for the bigger challenges to commence! A Message in a Porthole As part of the next clue, our group was tasked with finding a special porthole on the ship, and it was clear the portholes contained a hidden word. But what does it mean? Porthole Puzzle One Porthole Puzzle Two Porthole Puzzle Three Porthole Puzzle Four Well, that hidden word within the porthole brought me to another puzzle to unscramble with my teammates. Before I could finish picking out the different letters to form a word, others in my group were already saying “Ariel.” Thankful for a speedy group to work with, we shared that Ariel’s hair is red to our Story Keeper and were handed a letter with well-known tunes from The Little Mermaid. Now, this was my time to shine! I’ve sung enough Disney songs in the past to fly through the list: Under the _____. ____ the girl. Part of your _____. Poor unfortunate _____. Make your way to the place where nightingales sing and share your answers to receive your handsome reward and continue your storybook journey. With the missing words from this list above, I made my way to the next location — Nightingale’s, also known as my favorite piano bar. However, this was no casual trip to the whimsical lounge. Once we shared our word bank from the latest puzzle, we were met with a reward I wasn’t expecting until Wednesday’s livestream… a first look at an offering coming to the Disney Believe. It turned out, each porthole mystery led to a different brand-new food and beverage item coming to the ship. But let’s not forget to ask, what do these items mean? Is it another clue for a venue, a show, or maybe a character? Only time will tell! But with that, we’re done for the first day, so make sure to come back tomorrow. Only time will tell what else will be revealed! The post Get a Sneak Peek of the Disney Believe… If You Can Solve These Puzzles appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. View the full article

We found MORE spooky season treats at Disney World, so you already know we had to go try them for ourselves! Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich Disney World has SO many incredible snacks and treats for the Halloween season that we just keep finding more and more to try. On our last visit to Animal Kingdom, we found two new treats, and we are bringing you our FULL review. On our last trip to Animal Kingdom, we visited Terra Treats to check out two of their new fall treats, starting with the Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae for $8.49. This is made with cookies and cream ice cream, pieces of chocolate, pumpkin candy, and Halloween sprinkles, served in a waffle cone bowl. Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae The ice cream was smooth and so creamy. The little chocolate candies throughout came in various shapes that added a great crunch to each bite. We would have loved it if there were more cookie pieces in the cookies and cream ice cream, but all the toppings made up for it! Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae The waffle cone bowl was nice and crunchy, and was lined with sprinkles and chocolate icing. If you are a fan of cookies and cream and want to get into the Halloween spirit with a fun treat, this dessert is a very cute option. While this wasn’t anything groundbreaking or super unique, if you’re craving some good ice cream, you will not be disappointed with this! Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae We also grabbed the Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich for $8.29. This is made with vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, chocolate brownie, chocolate chips, fall sprinkles, and sea salt flakes. Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich This is the fall version of the iconic Ice Cream Sandwich, and if you love cookie dough, this should be a must-try treat for you. The cookie dough, ice cream, and brownie all blend together nicely, with the sprinkles adding a nice, much-needed crunch. This is an incredibly sweet dessert, so if that is something you enjoy, you’ll love this. But if super-sweet treats are not your thing, we would recommend trying something else. Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich Overall, if you really love cookie dough, you should try this one, but we did enjoy the sundae more and would pick that one on our next visit. Look at those layers! We will continue to bring you food reviews from across Disney World, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog so you never miss anything! Pour yourself a Mickey-shaped cup of coffee, because we need to talk about the Disney Believe! Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship is set to debut in late 2027, and we’re already on the edge of our seats. As the fourth ship in the Wish class, it’s dedicated to dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after. Disney Believe Here’s the thing: Disney hasn’t spilled many details about this cruise ship yet. But there’s a livestream reveal of the Disney Believe scheduled for October 7th, and you’d better believe (ha) fans will be glued to their screens. In fact, we’ll actually be at this event in person, bringing you everything you need to know about the Believe — and all the fun has already started! The Disney Believe ship will be the ninth Disney Cruise Line ship and the fourth Wish Class ship in the fleet, and it is set to open in late 2027. We were invited out on the Disney Wish to celebrate and learn more about the Disney Believe, which recently saw the first of the gigablocks completed and floated out in the shipyard! If you are unaware, a gigablock is basically a large puzzle piece, and when they are all put together, you get a fully built cruise ship. We’re on the Disney Wish learning all about the Disney Believe! Disney just told us that the second gigablock construction is currently underway, which means we’re getting closer and closer to having a fully put-together cruise ship! The Believe also just hit a major milestone: the keel laying ceremony! This is a maritime tradition that is designed to bestow good luck on the ship. ©Disney Disney previously revealed that the atrium statue for this ship will be Moana, the bow of the ship will feature Tinker Bell, and the stern will have Buzz and Woody coloring the ship’s name. ©Disney During our first day on the Disney Wish, we received this card with somewhat of an ominous message. You see, Disney is going to just give away all the details about the Believe. Instead, they’re sending us on a scavenger hunt for clues! We’ll have to find the clues in order to be able to get details, and it all culminates during the Disney Believe livestream taking place on Wednesday, which we’ll be attending in person. What does it mean?! We also got to preview a drink that will be exclusive to the Believe! Of course, Disney didn’t share many details — other than the fact that it’s Evil Queen-themed. We’re wondering if this is a hint about one of the lounges coming to the ship, like the Spellbound Lounge on the Disney Adventure — which is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-themed and has LOTS of Evil Queen details. Evil Queen drink We thought the drink was tasty, but very sweet. It had a heavy green apple flavor and featured a subtle amount of bubbles. The green apple flavor was more syrupy and sugary than fruity. We think there may have also been some notes of caramel, but they were very, very subtle. We can’t wait! Make sure you mark your calendar and set your alarm for the Disney Believe livestream on Wednesday, October 7th at 4:30 PM ET! We’ll be on the lookout for additional details about the Disney Believe throughout our week away at sea! In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. Will you be booking a trip on the Disney Believe? Let us know in the comments below! If there is one thing Disney World has taught us, it’s that the margin of error between “BEST DAY EVER!” and “I would like to return to my hotel immediately” can be surprisingly small. Hello from EPCOT! Sometimes it’s a dead MagicBand+. Sometimes it’s a backpack slowly cooking your back. Sometimes it’s realizing the people in the hotel room next door have decided 1AM is the perfect time for a spirited family discussion. That’s why we’re always testing Disney World essentials, and right now, several of the ones we’ve used ourselves are on sale at Amazon. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We’re tracking the biggest and best Disney deals on Amazon right now. We will be updating this list daily leading up to the sale and all throughout the sale! You can see over 100 Disney deals happening online now by clicking the button below! view 100 disney deals ON AMAZON Doohoeek Charging Station 4-in-1 for MagicBand+ If your Disney World hotel room looks like a small electronics repair shop by the end of the night, we understand. We’re all in that same boat of device-dependency. Phones. Portable chargers. Watches. Fans. MagicBand+ chargers. And they all require an outlet! Charging Station for MagicBand+ That’s why we’ve become fans of this MagicBand+ charging station. It lets you charge up to FOUR MagicBand+ devices at once instead of bringing individual charging cables for everyone in your group. Charging our MagicBand We did find during our testing that getting the bands situated on the charger can take a little fiddling, so this isn’t a completely flawless solution. But once everybody’s bands are parked for the night, you have one charging station doing the work of four. For families using MagicBand+ throughout their trip, that is one less cable nest to excavate every morning. view ON AMAZON Shark ChillPill 3-in-1 Fan, Mist and Cooling Plate We have tested enough portable fans at Disney World to qualify for some sort of unofficial degree in Florida Heat Management. And the Shark ChillPill is an interesting one. It combines a fan, misting function, and cooling plate in one portable device. During our testing, we weren’t blown away by every feature. The fan wasn’t as powerful as some larger options we’ve tried, and we barely noticed the mist. Shark Chill Pill But that cooling plate? That’s a new level of genius. It gets surprisingly cold, and pressing it against the back of your neck when Disney World has turned into one enormous outdoor sauna feels fantastic. Shark Chill Pill Fan This is normally one of the pricier cooling gadgets we’ve tested, so a sale is a much better time to add it to your park bag. view ON AMAZON Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine We’ve talked about this thing a lot, and for good reason. Disney World hotel rooms can be wonderful places to collapse after walking 25,000 steps. They can also come with hallway conversations, toilets flushing next door, doors slamming, kids discovering the exciting acoustic properties of hotel corridors, and the occasional neighbor whose indoor voice never made it to Florida. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine The Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine is tiny enough that we don’t mind sacrificing suitcase space for it. It has 16 sounds, 35 volume levels, a timer, and USB-C charging. This is one of those Disney World purchases that doesn’t feel particularly exciting while you’re packing. At 12:47AM, when somebody outside your room is loudly debating tomorrow’s Lightning Lane strategy? Now, you’re glad you have (and that it has those 35 volume settings!). view ON AMAZON VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer Let’s discuss the dreaded Disney World Backpack Back. You know it. You remove your backpack after several hours in the parks and discover that Florida’s newest unexplored swamp area has been growing between your back and your bag. VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer We tested the VentaPak for months, and this strange-looking little contraption won us over. It attaches to your backpack and creates a gap between the bag and your back, allowing air to circulate instead of letting your backpack sit directly against you all day. We also found that it helped redistribute the weight of our bag across our back. Look at that air flow! There are trade-offs. You’ll need to tighten your backpack straps to get the best fit, and it can make your bag slightly more annoying to take on and off. But if you carry a backpack around Disney World from rope drop until somebody starts sweeping you toward the exit, we’d argue that reducing the swamp situation happening behind you is a pretty compelling benefit. view ON AMAZON BAGSMART Travel Toiletry Bag This BAGSMART bag has reached “DFB recurring character” status. We’ve used it ourselves, and it keeps showing up in our packing recommendations for one reason: it holds a LOT without turning your toiletries into one enormous pile. Okay y’all, if your phone has been buzzing nonstop and your calendar looks like a game of Tetris gone wrong, Southwest Airlines has a new campaign just for you — and it could win you some Rapid Rewards points that you can exchange for free airfare! What could be better than that?! Southwest Airlines In a recent Southwest-sponsored survey, a whopping 76% of people said they’re feeling burned out, and 68% believe a trip is one way to take back their time. (Tell us something we don’t know!) Called “Enter Airplane Mode,” this new campaign is all about escaping the daily grind, and you could potentially get free flights out of it! Here’s everything we know. Southwest is pairing the campaign with flexible policies like no change or cancellation fees, a huge domestic network, and what they call the best Crew in the sky. The idea is to help you turn that “I can’t take one more email” moment into your booking moment! Southwest Airlines at MCO Here’s where it gets fun. Through an interactive online experience called Notification Vacation, you can upload a screenshot of your overflowing homepage notifications and earn Rapid Rewards points. Yes, really! Turn those pings into perks. There’s also a Burnout Quiz to see just how fried you are and find inspiration for your next getaway. Between the two, there are more than 185 million points up for grabs, with limits per member. Southwest Airlines To advertise this new perk, Southwest enlisted the help of Will Speck and Josh Gordon to direct new commercials, voiced by Adam Scott, whose recent workplace-series role adds a perfectly timed wink to the whole “disconnect from work” theme. The campaign starts airing today and follows relatable stressors like packed commutes, endless meetings, and calendars that never quit (we know the feeling!). Southwest has also rolled out updated boarding and assigned seating, plus free WiFi for Rapid Rewards Members thanks to T-Mobile, powered by Starlink’s speedy in-flight WiFi. Grim grinning ghosts aren’t the only ones coming out to socialize this season, because the Halloween treats have officially arrived at Disney World! If you’re anything like us, you’ve been counting down the days until pumpkin-spiced everything and spooky sprinkles start popping up around the parks. Candy Corn Cake Pop We’ve been making our way around Disney World, trying all of the spooky snacks at the parks and beyond this year to find out which ones are worth grabbing and which ones we’d send straight to the graveyard. Grab your Mickey ears, a pumpkin-shaped souvenir bucket, and a very large napkin, because we’ve got another Halloween snack review comin’ at ya! We stopped by Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom to try the Candy Corn Cake Pop for $6.29. This is a spiced cheesecake with apple butter swirl and brown butter graham crackers, dipped in white chocolate. Sounds like the perfect fall treat, but is it worth a stop on your next visit? We’re kind of obsessed. This is no ordinary kids’ cake pop. In fact, we’d venture to say it isn’t a cake pop at all. You might even want to keep this one from the kids, because it’s that good. Inside is a spiced apple cheesecake filling that’s creamy, smooth, and melts in your mouth. The apple is bold and cinnamon-forward in every bite. But the real star, my friend, is the brown butter graham cracker crust. The brown butter is nutty, warm, and rich, and it pairs beautifully with the toasty graham. Combined with the ethereally creamy filling and the apple, you’ve got the perfect fall Halloween treat. LOTS of filling The white chocolate shell is perfectly tempered and pleasantly thin, though we still found ourselves flicking off pieces to get to that center. Don’t be put off by the controversial candy corn shape. This one is 100% treat, no trick. Super creamy filling We’ll be on the lookout for additional snacks you need to know about at Disney World and more. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Pumpkin pie from Cake Bake Shop We recently stopped by the Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk to check out their version of the quintessential fall treat — pumpkin pie. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! We stopped by the Cake Bake Shop to try their pumpkin pie — and we’re glad we did! This slice is $15, which is pricey, but it’s not the most expensive treat we’ve had at this spot by any means. In the past, we’ve had pumpkin cake and pumpkin cheesecake from Cake Bake, so we were excited to see if the pumpkin pie was another hit. Pumpkin pie This is as close to a perfect pumpkin pie as we have had in a very long time. The custard is well set without being thick or gelatinous, and it doesn’t ooze, which is a nice touch. The spice level is just right, with no single spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, or clove) overpowering the others. Every bite is balanced and full of autumnal flavors. The whipped cream is in perfect proportion to the custard and covers the entire pie, which we appreciate because we love a little whipped cream with every bite. It’s not overly sweet, has a pleasant texture, and pairs beautifully with the custard. LOTS of whipped cream Our only complaint is the crust, which gets soggy on the bottom. We have yet to find a pumpkin pie that avoids this, and this one is no exception. Still, it’s a winner overall. If you’re a pumpkin pie fan, we highly recommend stopping by for a slice to get your Thanksgiving on. Plenty of filling too In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Is there really anything better than eating and drinking your way around the World Showcase during an EPCOT festival?! No, we didn’t think so either. The 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is running from August 27th through November 21st, 2026, celebrating 30 years of this beloved event, and we’ve made our way to every single booth, trying old and new favorites. 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival eats While we have plenty of best eats of the festival, there are a few that we feel the need to warn you about — and not because they’re not good, either! Instead, we need to give you a heads up about these eats because, well, they’re just too dang hot. Listen, don’t get us wrong — we love the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival and all it has to offer, but we have one specific complaint that we think is worth warning you about. A few booths this year feature eats that are served in little ramekins or tins, which makes them super cute, but the problem lies in the fact that the dishes are served PIPING HOT and the tins are made of metal. 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Now, look, I’m not a scientist. Let’s just say there’s a reason I am an editor and writer instead, but even I know the basics — and the basics say that metal conducts heat. It’s why pans and ovens are made of metal, after all. So, when Disney serves these dishes hot in these little metal tins, they can get pretty dang hot. We experienced this firsthand on the very first day of the festival, when we headed over to grab the Blackberry Buckle from Regal Eagle Smokehouse. We absolutely LOVED this dessert — it’s made with blackberry gelato and streusel — but the tin it was served in nearly burned our fingers because it was so hot. Blackberry Buckle And, over at The Alps booth, the new Tartiflette is another dish served in a tin. It’s made with potatoes gratin, caramelized onions, bacon, thyme, crème fraîche, and brie. Sounds super bubbly and gooey, right?! This one was also served on a plate, but we found that, just like the pot pie, we had to grab the tin to get a good forkful of the dish itself. The Tartiflette Since these dishes were raved about by our team, we do think you should try them — we just think you need to use caution when doing so! We don’t want you to burn your fingers and potentially ruin your day! The Blackberry Buckle We’ll be on the lookout for even more Food & Wine Festival updates you need to know about and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest news and more! IT'S WINE & DINE TIME! Food & Wine Festival can be a bummer. Dollywood – – the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee theme park that celebrates the late, great Dolly Parton – – is one of the most popular theme parks in the U.S. In fact, the park has been named the country’s top theme park numerous times by various publications over the years, including topping Disney numerous times! The Dolly Parton Experience Truthfully, we can see why, as there are several things that Dollywood just flat-out does BETTER than Disney, at least, for now. Height Wristbands Is there anything more depressing than a youngster excitedly approaching a Disney World ride to be measured, only to be turned away if they’re just an inch or so TOO short? Now, imagine that happening multiple times a day? Ugh. Talk about HEARTBREAK. Big Bear Mountain! That’s why we LOVE how Dollywood handles height requirements WAY more. The park gives you the option to have kiddos measured RIGHT after they enter the park, then they won’t have to get measured again for the rest of the day. When you enter the park, you’ll find a centralized measuring station. A Dollywood Team Member will take a child’s height and assign them a color-coded height wristband to wear that day. This wristband’s color will let other team members know IMMEDIATELY if they are tall enough for a certain ride, so you don’t have to worry about any back-to-back tears and screaming fits. NightFlight Expedition All Day In-Room Dining (INCLUDING CINNAMON BREAD) Once upon a time, Disney World had in-room dining resort-wide, but after the COVID closures, in-room dining is now strictly reserved for the deluxe-level Grand Floridian Resort guests ONLY, with breakfast being served between 7:00 AM and noon, and dinner being served from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. On the other hand, Dollywood’s hotels not only have in-room dining, but they have in-room dining pretty much ALL DAY LONG, starting at 7:00 AM and wrapping up at 11:00 PM, with no downtime. The Dollywood Resorts even make in-room breakfast SUPER easy on ya by providing doorknob hanger ordering cards in each room. All you have to do is fill out that card and hang it outside your door the night before to let the team know what you’d like sent up to your room for breakfast, and what time in the morning you’d prefer to have it delivered by. Best of all? You can even have Dollywood’s FAMOUS GRIST MILL CINNAMON BREAD sent up to your room FRESH, which is an unbeatable way to kick off your morning! Just make sure you’ve got that card placed on your door BEFORE MIDNIGHT the night before. What we ordered! EXTRA Hotel Perks Dollywood’s special hotel perks don’t stop with their in-room dining, as the hotels offer additional perks that Disney guests either have never received, or haven’t for ages: Daily Housekeeping: Compare this to Disney World, which used to do this across ALL of their hotels, too, before the COVID closures. However, since the resort reopened, Value and Moderate Tier Resorts provide housekeeping every other day, while the Deluxe resorts still offer daily service. Free TimeSaver Passes: At Dollywood’s hotels, each person under a given hotel reservation receives FREE standard TimeSavers, which’ll give you 5 skip-the-ride-line TimeSaver entries to use across select rides. Compare that to the exactly zero Lightning Lanes Walt Disney World hotel guests receive. Golden Hour: Once again, Disney World USED to offer all of their hotel guests one extra hour of park time on select mornings before these select parks opened up for the general public. However, these days, Disney World has split up their Extra Magic Hours into TWO separate categories: Early Entry continues to be available for ALL of Disney’s hotel guests (value, moderate, and deluxe alike) EVERY SINGLE DAY across EVERY SINGLE PARK, but only offers a 1/2 hour. Meanwhile, Disney’s Extended Evening Hours are for Deluxe Tier Resort guests ONLY, giving them up to two hours of extra time in select parks on select nights. Dollywood’s hotel guests? They’ve got GOLDEN HOUR at their disposal. That gives hotel guests an EXTRA HOUR of park time in the morning, and they can freely use the rides’ Timesaver entrances during that extra hour across all their attractions without using any of their 5 complimentary TimeSavers! Complimentary PREFERRED Parking: While Disney World’s hotel guests do still receive FREE parking at the hotels AND theme parks, Dollywood kicks this perk up a notch. Not only do hotel guests receive free parking at the hotels and theme park, but they receive free PREFERRED parking at the park right near the entrance! Complimentary Hotel Delivery: At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Disney World USED to have complimentary hotel delivery services for their resort guests before the pandemic, but the service has yet to return. On the other hand, Dollywood hotel guests can have their park purchases (over $25) delivered BACK to their resort, free of charge! The bedroom The White Noise Machines Speaking of the Dollywood hotels, each room at the Heartsong Hotel has a white noise device that features 255+ sound combinations, mixed between eight soothing sounds that include whirring fan blades, chirping insects, a crackling bonfire, the pitter-pattering of rain, ocean waves, a trickling stream, Tibetan singing bowls, and chirping birds. Each sound has its own volume control, so you can make them as loud or as soft as you want them to be. This device also serves as an ambient night light — featuring four brightness levels, as well as a soothing breathing-light mode that gently cycles through each brightness, and features a built-in auto timer for 60, 120, or 180 minutes – and will turn off for you once you’re fast asleep. ©Amazon Refill Cups That Work ALL YEAR Disney’s refillable mugs cost about $23 and last for the length of a guest’s stay for up to 14 days, and offer beverages only at the resort’s hotels. Each mug features an RFID barcode, which enables the mug to deactivate when the designated time is complete. Meanwhile, for $25 at Dollywood, you can get a mug that’ll not only give you free soda refills (and discounted $5 ICEE refills) across the theme park AND hotels during your visit, but it’ll continue to give you free refills for the REST OF THE SEASON. Meaning if you decide to come BACK to Dollywood before the end of the year, your free refill cup WILL STILL WORK. Dollywood Refillable Mug Education Over Everything Unlike Disney, Dollywood doesn’t just cover “tuition for its employees pursuing an education.” They give certain employees who want to go far in the culinary industry an opportunity to do so. Back in 2020, Dollywood teamed up with the Tennessee Department of Labor AND Walters State Community College to create a very specific (and paid) apprenticeship opportunity for culinary students. These students are hired on at Dollywood for a three-year, hands-on program that gives them the experience needed to take on future roles in food and/or hospitality service. (PLUS they’ll receive a full benefits package as they pursue their degree, too!) After a student successfully completes the program, they’ll have the college credits needed to help ‘em reach a technical certificate or an associate’s degree in hospitality management/culinary arts. On top of that, if these students have been enjoying their time working in Dollywood, they won’t get the boot right after graduation. In fact, they’ll actually have the option to accept a leadership position in The Dollywood Company, setting them up for success, right from the get-go. The Wildwood Tree all lit up! EXCLUSIVE Dippin’ Dots Flavors: Disney’s not really big on Dippin’ Dots, as the only place to find the “ice cream of the future” inside the Disney World bubble is at the water parks. However, what Disney lacks in Dippin’ Dots, Dollywood makes up for in DROVES. There are SEVERAL Dippin’ Dots kiosks ALL around Dollywood to satiate your inner Dippin’ Dots desires, and along with the standard Dippin’ Dots flavors like the Mint Chocolate and the Rainbow Ice, Dollywood also offers a specialty Big Bear brownie batter EXCLUSIVE to the park. Big Bear Brownie Batter Furthermore, there are special seasonal Dippin’ Dots flavors too during their different festivals. These have included the Strawberry Cheesecake from the I Will Always Love You Festival, and the Summer Celebration flavor made with cherry, blue raspberry, and vanilla Dippin’ Dots in honor of America’s 250th birthday. Dollywood also sells refillable Dippin’ Dots cups that allow guests to refill their cup at a discounted rate. Jukebox Junction THRILL Rides Disney has plenty of thrilling rides. But even Disney World’s biggest coasters still don’t necessarily compete with Dollywood’s from an adrenaline standpoint. Sure, the resort offers the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, Expedition Everest, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and TRON: Lightcycle/Run, but those rides are spread out across the four theme parks. Meanwhile, Dollywood WILL give you that back-to-back adrenaline rush that your older kids and teens might be craving more of, including: Wild Eagle is a suspended coaster that dangles you in the air, featuring a 135-foot drop, four inversions, extreme banking, and maximum speeds of 61 mph. Thunderhead is a wooden coaster ride with a 100-foot drop, 22 accelerating quick turns, extreme banking, and maximum speeds of 55 mph. Tennessee Tornado is a multi-loop steel coaster with a 128-foot drop, three inversions, and speeds up to 70 mph Mystery Mine is a steel coaster featuring an 85-foot drop, a 95-degree drop, two complete inversions, extreme banking, and maximum speeds of 43 mph. Lightning Rod is yet ANOTHER wooden coaster that takes you up a 20-story lift hill, where you’ll face twin summit airtime hills before racing down its 165-foot drop. Dollywood Affordability There’s no way to sugarcoat it: Dollywood is more affordable than Disney World. Now, that’s not to say that Dollywood isn’t PRICEY. It is still a THEME PARK vacation destination, after all, but it’s still cheaper than the domestic Disney properties. Let’s do some price comparing for a minute: For two pick-a-day tickets to Dollywood, prices start at $124.99, while Disney World prices start at $128. While that price difference doesn’t SEEM very drastic YET, the SURGE PRICING is where things change. Even if you decide to get a two-day ticket for Dollywood’s PEAK SEASON TIME, prices only tend to go up by a few dollars – from $124.99 to $129.99. On the other hand, Disney tickets (minus any bonus discounts that you might come across on the Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts page) are gonna spike up WAY more than that, with peak prices getting as high as $194 per day. Welcome to Dollywood! It’s not limited to just park tickets either. Average prices for Dollywood’s resorts tend to cost around the same as Disney’s Moderate Tier Resorts. The Songteller Hotel Then there’s food prices: We watched our friends Emma and Quincy from AllEars actually STRUGGLE to find an in-room dining meal that cost over $30. One of the MOST expensive items they found on that menu was the $49 family meal deal – but FOR that price, you’re getting a Large Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza, 12 Wings or 6 Chicken Tenders, AND Garlic Cheese Bread, which, again, will feed an ENTIRE family without anyone having to leave the room at the end of a long park day once everyone’s already settled in. Butterfly Chicken Sandwich Of course, to be fair, Dollywood doesn’t have as much to offer their guests as the domestic Disney parks do. So with the prices that you’re paying in Disney, you’re receiving more theming, more attractions, and more potential park experiences overall. But if you’re looking for a cheaper theme park alternative for your next family vacation, Dollywood might provide you with a financial silver lining. The Dolly Parton Experience at Dollywood No Gameplan? No Problem. It’s no secret that a trip to Disney World these days requires A LOT of planning. Advance Dining Reservations, Lightning Lanes, etc. To be fair, we love strategizing and finding the hidden tips and tricks to share with you. However, not everyone feels the same way. And that’s fair. It can be daunting to wake up at 6:00 AM ET to secure popular dining reservations, or create a Lightning Lane game plan, or figure out how to get around a theme park property that’s the same size as the city of San Francisco. When it comes to Dollywood, you don’t have to do NEARLY as much planning, and you can still have a great time. Granted, it is still a high-end theme park with lots of great rides, shows, and restaurants, so you’ll still want to do SOME research to make sure you don’t miss out on your top priority experiences. But honestly? Getting Dollywood knocked out in a day or two isn’t too difficult to accomplish. TimeSavers are just a band that you can scan for rides at any time; table-service restaurants are first come, first served; and since Dollywood isn’t NEARLY as big as Disney World… getting around doesn’t have to stress you out.
