Fall has officially arrived in Disney World, and while we’ve been talking so much about all the fall and Halloween fun over in Magic Kingdom, there are TONS of amazing fall offerings over in Disney Springs. Halloween Cookie From exclusive fall snacks to the return of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Halloween overlay, we cannot wait to immerse ourselves in all the delicious autumnal fun, and we just got a preview of some of the snacks you can expect to find at Disney Springs during the fall season, so of course, we are bringing you along for the ride! The preview event began with a walk-through look at some of the Halloween merch that guests can find at World of Disney! This was mostly merch we’ve seen already throughout Disney, but we loved the chance to see all of the adorable merch again, including one of our favorites, the Cutie Ghost Collection. Cutie Ghost Halloween Disney World of Disney And then outside of World of Disney, there was lots of amazing fall entertainment, including Stilt Walkers, drummers, and performers. This was such a fun surprise and the perfect way to get us in the Halloween spirit. Halloween Entertainment So now it’s time to dive into ALL of the food we were able to snag at this event, starting with the Halloween Cookie from Amorette’s Patisserie. This is a classic chocolate chip cookie with chunks of toffee laced between layers of dark chocolate, and it was delicious. Halloween Cookie This cookie is so rich and decadent, but be warned: it is VERY messy. It melted very quick in the hot Florida sun, so make sure to have napkins on hand. The cookie was well baked with a great chewy texture. Our only complaint is that the decorations on top did not SCREAM Halloween. The Vampire Mickey was cute, but we were hoping for more; this was a fantastic cookie. Halloween Cookie Then it was time to head over to the preview of Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar to check out some of the exclusive food and drinks. Before the event began, we also got to hear from Chef Gary about each of the menu items, and he explained that this Halloween menu has been in the works since January. First up, we tried Jock Lindsey’s Midnight Relic. This is made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Ube Syrup, Cream of Coconut, Lemon Juice, and Edible Glitter. Midnight Relic This was a very light, refreshing, and well-made cocktail. You could taste the vodka, and the syrup and coconut cream added a nice sweetness, and the lemon juice created a great balance. Midnight Relic Next up, we grabbed the Viper’s Nest. This is a non-alcoholic drink made with DOLE Pineapple Juice, White Cranberry Juice, Green Apple Syrup, Blue Curacao Syrup, Sprite, Butterfly Pea Extract, topped with Green Apple juice-filled pearls and gummy candy. Viper’s Nest This drink was super sweet with a sour kick, and the pineapple juice mixed with the blue curacao added a nice citrus note. The green apple added to the sourness while the Sprite gave it a much-needed carbonated kick. The popping pearls added a fun burst of sour flavor and a great texture. Overall, this was a fun, sweet, colorful, and fruity drink. Viper’s Nest Now let’s move on to the eats. First, we grabbed the Bone Kebabs. This was incredible! It was the perfect mixture of sweet, salty, and chewy that we were a big fan of. Bone Kebabs The meat flavor was amazing and came through very strong, and the tomato sauce added an acidic balance that brought this whole dish together. The meat also came playfully wrapped around the bone that you could hold and tear off, which was a very fun presentation for this snack SO much meat! We also grabbed the Candelabra Eggs. These were deviled eggs, topped with crispy fried chicken, served in an iconic Candelabra display. If you love deviled eggs, then you will love this snack. It is a classic deviled egg with a kick of spice, which made for a really nice burn. Candelabra Eggs The crispy fried chicken was well dressed in a spicy sauce that was delicious. We really enjoyed this one and will definitely be ordering again! Candelabra Eggs Next we tried the Midnight Mayhem Popcorn Chicken. This is made with big chunks of crispy fried chicken with candy bacon pieces, spiced walnuts, popcorn, and hot honey sauce. This one was very interesting, and while all the flavors individually were very good, we just felt like they did not come together cohesively. Midnight Mayhem Popcorn Chicken We also grabbed the Dark Forest Dip. This is a well-made hummus that is covered with herbs, carrots, and lots of other toppings. This was very good and definitely felt like an elevated form of hummus. If you love hummus, then this should be on your fall must-try list! Black Forest Dip Then we grabbed the Alien Invader Sliders. These are fried chicken sliders with perfectly melted cheese, pickles, layered in with hot honey. These sliders are the only repeat from the menu last year, and we can see why they came back! These were spicy, delicious, and the balance between the acidity and spice was incredible. Plus, the presentation is just too fun! Alien Invader Sliders We also tried the Skull of the Dead Dip. This is a beef barbacoa dip with cheddar sauce and spicy fried onions, served with plantain chips. The plantain chips had a simple flavor that really let the dip shine; they had a solid crunch, but the dip did not coat the chip well. Skull of the Dead The dip had a thick and creamy consistency, with the cheddar being the most prominent flavor. The beef barbacoa added a subtle meaty flavor underneath the cheese. The spicy fried onions added a great crunchy texture but didn’t contribute much flavor-wise. If you love cheese dips and meat, then this is worth a try next time you’re in Disney Springs! Skull of the Dead Dip That wraps up all of the items we got to try over at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar, and you might think that we’re done, but that’s where you are WRONG! We still have more snacks to share with you, including Goofy’s Halloween Popcorn Mix from Goofy’s Candy Co. Halloween Popcorn Mix This is classic buttered popcorn covered with melted milk chocolate, chocolate sauce, marshmallows, and candy corn. This feels like you took all of your leftover Halloween candy and dumped it into a bowl of popcorn. Overall, this popcorn treat is extremely sweet and will be a fan-favorite among kids! Halloween Popcorn Mix Last up, we grabbed the Haunted Mansion Portrait Bars from The Ganachery. These chocolates come in four flavors: Raspberry, Chipotle Chocolate, Caramel Chocolate, and Passion Fruit. The Raspberry was not super sweet and had a dark chocolate exterior that had a good crunch, but the dark chocolate balanced out the sweetness. The tart fruitiness was subtle, but the most prominent flavor was that dark chocolate. Haunted Mansion Portrait Bars The Chipotle Chocolate had a real hit of spice with a dark chocolate ganache filling. Anyone spice-averse would not enjoy this at all since it packs a strong bit of spice. The Ganache was super creamy, and the outside chocolate coating was well-tempered. If you love spice, you should give this one a try! Haunted Mansion Portrait Bars The Caramel Chocolate was so dreamy and smooth. Caramel lovers will absolutely flip over this. It had a super buttery quality that only good caramel has, and the chocolate was so well tempered on the outside that it added a crunch to go with the creaminess; this was absolutely delicious. Finally, The Passion Fruit had a chunkier interior, and there was a fruity flavor in each bite. It was similar to the raspberry but with more citrus flavor. The exterior was more of a milk chocolate flavor, which complemented the fruitiness well! We might be knee-deep in Halloween stuff in Disney World right now, what with all the Halloween food and drinks, decor, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but OF COURSE, it’s also time to start looking ahead to the holiday season. ©Disney Now, the holidays in Disney World are VERY special, so much so that last year, The Hallmark Channel announced that a Hallmark Christmas movie SET in Disney World was in the works. Well, that Hallmark Disney World Christmas movie is completed, and now, we know when it will premiere. You’ll finally be able to watch Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True on The Hallmark Channel on November 28th at 8 CT/9 ET. The film will then be available on The Hallmark Channel’s streaming service the day after, November 29th. ©Hallmark Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True stars Lacey Chabert as Lindsey, a woman traveling to Disney World with her extended family for Christmas. However, Lindsey discovers her room is next door to Philip (Travis Van Winkle), whom she had a disastrous first date with recently. Turns out he’s also there on a family trip. ©Hallmark Their paths continue to cross during the holiday vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth, and they start to realize they have a lot in common. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is coming up THIS week, and that means we are ready to celebrate all things Disney with Disney and other Disney fans. This event is jam-packed with SO much to see and do, including a LOT of shopping, as well as a ton of booths, exhibits, celebrity appearances, and panels. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Now, one panel we’re REALLY excited about is the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday night, which is where we’ll learn more about what’s coming to the theme parks and Disney Cruise Line. Speaking of theme parks, we think we’re going to hear a LOT more about everything happening in Disney World, so we’ve got some predictions about what big Disney World announcements we’ll get during this panel. Disney Villains Land Rides There are a LOT of questions remaining about the Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom, and we’re really hoping to get some answers. One of the biggest questions has to do with what the rides in the land might be like. We’ve got the initial concept art, but there have been rumors that Disney has decided to go in a different, more family-friendly direction with rides. Since Disney has been pretty quiet about the area, we’ll be thrilled to know what they’re working on. ©Disney We’re hoping to get some clarification on what rides in the Villains Land might be like. Plus, it would be really nice if Disney would give us the name for this new land! Piston Peak opening timeline and more ride details Construction on Piston Peak, aka the Cars expansion in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland, is well underway, and we’ve been following its progress. We’d really like an idea of when the new expansion might open, so we think Disney might give us an opening timeline announcement. ©Disney We’re also hoping that we get more ride details. We know there will be two rides in the expansion: a rally race ride and a slower-paced, family-friendly Cars-themed attraction. That’s not much to go on, though. So we could get some ride names and more details at the D23 panel. Monstropolis opening timeline and attraction details Construction for Monstropolis is also well underway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so we’re hoping that we’ll get an announcement about an opening timeline for the new land. However, we also still don’t have a ton of details about the ride’s roller coaster, which is based on the doors scene in the first Monsters, Inc. movie. The ride will be the first suspended roller coaster in Disney World, so we might learn more about that, too, and even get the ride’s name. ©Disney Another detail we have next to NO details about is the show going into the Glob Theater, which we can see on concept art, so we’re expecting to learn more about that. Puebla Esperanza opening timeline and ride details Yep, a LOT is going on in Disney World right now. Dinoland, U.S.A. started closing in phases in early 2025 to make way for Puebla Esperanza construction, so it’s already been a while since Disney broke ground on the new land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If we get any opening timelines for new lands in Disney World, we bet this is the one we’ll get. Overview of Pueblo Esperanza coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom We also think we’ll learn more about the land’s three new rides: a carousel, an Encanto-themed ride, and a new Indiana Jones ride. More ride updates Disney has been busy updating a lot of rides, including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Carousel of Progress is getting a complete overhaul soon. We believe Disney might announce some more ride updates (and our wishful thinking has us begging for that big Spaceship Earth update we were once promised that never happened). Spaceship Earth needs an update So we’ll be looking out for some ride update announcements during the Experiences panel, too. We’re gearing up for one of the biggest Disney events out there! D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event Coming up this weekend is D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and it’s going to be HUGE. This multi-day offering includes a variety of panels and showcases where you can get the latest Disney news and behind-the-scenes info, as well as a showroom floor where you can shop, check out interactive exhibits, and just enjoy being a fan! We can’t wait to go! And while you’re there this weekend, there’s a new merchandise collection that we’re sure will be quite popular. If you’re hoping to do some shopping at D23, the biggest place to stop is Mickey’s of Glendale. Disney says, “Named after its original home in Glendale, California, Mickey’s of Glendale is the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store, with exclusive merchandise assortments, pins, and more products made for Imagineers, by Imagineers.” This year, the pop-up shop will be featuring multiple new collections! ©D23 Disney has dropped teasers for the FINAL collection for Mickey’s of Glendale in 2026, and it’s all about Imagineering! This is the Walt Disney Imagineering Pavilion collection. The items all say “Imagineering: Horizons” which is also the name of the Disney Experiences showcase that’s happening Saturday night. ©Disney The sneak peek shows off a themed glass and a matching hat with the logo for the showcase, as well as a t-shirt. There are also magnets and collectible pins not pictured. Disney describes it by saying, “The collection draws from the design language of the 1964 New York World’s Fair, early Tomorrowland architecture and graphics, and classic attractions like Carousel of Progress. When it comes to room service, there are only two locations at Disney World that offer it. That may come as a surprise, since for many guests, room service is an essential element of a hotel stay, arguably more of a basic necessity than a “perk.” It’s a beautiful resort! Disney’s flagship resort, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, offers room service — or “private dining options” — from both breakfast and dinner menus. However, that Deluxe Tier Resort isn’t our focus today. Rather, we’re looking at the other hotels where room service is available on Disney property: The Swan & Dolphin. Before we continue, an important caveat: While the Swan & Dolphin are on Disney property, they are NOT owned by Disney. The Michael Graves-designed hotels, both of which opened in 1990, were initially part of a joint venture between Disney, the developer Tishman, insurance company MetLife, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. The hotels are currently operated by Marriott’s Sheraton Hotels and Resorts brand, after Marriott acquired Starwood in 2016. That ownership situation is likely why these independent resorts offer room service. Swan Reserve Entrance The Swan & Dolphin offer breakfast from 6 AM to 11 AM and dinner from 5 PM to 11:55 PM. Guests can order breakfast or dinner via the resort’s Mobile Dining options, including its app or website. ©Swan & Dolphin So, what does the resort offer? With the rise of social media, especially TikTok, there have been some videos posted about loopholes that work in Disney World, like how to save a little money or get free things. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Yes, some of them do work, but not all of them. Some of the most viral ones are actually the defunct ones! We don’t want you to be surprised on your next trip when one you’re hoping to do doesn’t work, so we’re sharing the FIVE loopholes that don’t work in Disney World! Loopholes That DO NOT Work Parking at Disney Springs for Free Parking Disney Springs has recently changed their transportation rules, which means that a loophole that used to exist is no longer. Parking at Disney Springs and boarding a resort bus or boat is now prohibited for guests not staying or dining at that resort. Guests must now have a valid reservation to board the resort buses and boats at Disney Springs. So, getting free parking at Disney Springs to go to a resort or park is no longer an option. New Disney Bus Rule Uh-Oh. Something BIG Is Missing from Disney Springs Mobile Ordering a Cheap Meal at a Hotel for Discounted Parking Many guests think they can mobile order at a resort’s quick-service restaurant to get “discounted parking,” but this is not the case. Because of the limited parking spaces at the Disney resorts, a lot of them are limited to guests staying there and with valid table-service dining reservations. Yes, sometimes the security guards will let you through, but it is not guaranteed, AND if they do let you through to pick up your mobile order, please don’t treat it as “discounted parking” and go to the parks. Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Did Disney World Just Quietly Add a NEW Mobile Order Rule? Making an Early Dining Reservation at a Hotel for Free Parking Yes, we’re still talking about free parking loopholes because there are just so many untrue ones! Disney World has a rule where guests can cancel their dining reservations up to 2 hours before their designated time, unless this reservation was booked at a signature dining location — those require 48 to 72 hours’ notice. Disney has now started giving out slips to place on your car’s dashboard with your designated reservation time and a 2-hour window. So, no, you cannot get by with parking at a Disney World resort 2 hours and 5 minutes before your dining reservation and cancel when you’re there — it doesn’t work that way! Trattoria al forno 5 Disney World Restaurants Everyone Will Be Booking in 2027 Skipping the Attraction Lines Because It’s Your Birthday We see HUNDREDS of guests with a “Happy Birthday” button every day in Disney World. Does that mean every one of those guests will skip attraction lines? Absolutely not. It’s definitely possible for a Cast Member to give someone a “Magical Moment” and allow them to skip the line because it’s their birthday, but don’t expect it. Happy Birthday Button We Went to 7 Disney World Parks and Hotels in a Day — Here Are 13 New Things We Noticed Getting a Free Upgrade Because You Asked for It If you’ve booked a Standard Room and gotten a free upgrade to a specific view or a preferred location, congrats — there was availability! But not every situation is like this. Just because you want a free upgrade doesn’t mean the Cast Members have to give you one. You paid for a specific tier of room, and that’s the one they’re obligated to put you in, so they don’t need to give you an upgrade because you asked for it. Tower Room with Resort View at Coronado Springs If This Doesn’t Convince You To Stay At This Hotel 15 Minutes From Disney World, We Don’t Know What Will Loopholes That DO Work Because we don’t want to fully rain on your parade, we’re giving you some loopholes that you can actually use on your next Disney World vacation! The 3-Hour Lightning Lane Window Don’t worry if you’re running a little late to your Lightning Lane because there is a 3-hour grace period where you can scan into your Lightning Lanes EVEN if it’s already way past your return time window! Disney could change this rule at any time, so we don’t suggest relying on it unless you really have to, but it’s a great trick to have up your sleeve if you’re stuck waiting in line for a different ride or your dining reservation ran a little over time. Kali River Rapids Lightning Lane CONFIRMED: The Hardest Lightning Lane to Book in Magic Kingdom Is NOT What You Think Getting Into the Park Without Early Entry Early Entry is a perk for guests staying at Disney hotels and other select resorts where they get 30 extra minutes in the morning to ride attractions in the park before it opens to the general public. But you actually don’t need to be staying at a Disney resort to scan into the park. While you do need a valid reservation to board attractions and enter certain lands, you don’t need to be staying at a Disney resort to actually enter the park. This is a great time to grab your morning coffee, take pictures with fewer crowds, and leisurely stroll without the worry of higher wait times. Early Entry Signage at Animal Kingdom 10 Disney World Hotels That Make Early Entry 10X Harder, and 13 You Should Stay at Instead Ordering a Kid’s Meal Disney World isn’t a place where they’ll check your age when you mobile order from a kid’s menu. It’s actually something we recommend you do! The portions are often a pretty great size, AND you’ll be saving some money by doing it. Some of our favorite kids’ meals to order are the Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen, the Salmon from Columbia Harbour House, and the Mickey-shaped Waffle Platter from any resort for breakfast! Cheeseburger Pods Adults Are Secretly Ordering THESE Kids’ Meals at Magic Kingdom The Gift Card Hack Disney World can be expensive, and saving a few dollars here and there can actually add up. Buying gift cards ahead of time can not only help you budget out your vacation, but it can also help save you some money depending on where you buy them. Wholesale clubs like Sam’s Club, Costco, and BJ’s often run deals on gift cards, causing them to be cheaper than the value. For example, a $500 Disney Gift Card at BJ’s is currently $479.99. Yes, it’s only $20, but if you’re spending $2,000 in gift cards on your vacation, you’re saving $80! That’s approximately 13 extra DOLE Whips!!! Gift Card! Okay, so who thinks that Halloween is the BEST time of the year in Disney World? We love how spooky Magic Kingdom gets decorated for the season (and the Mickey Halloween wreaths are just SO iconic). Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is also SO much fun, plus we even get to go trick-or-treating as adults at the party. What’s not to love? It’s a Ghost Minnie Cake pop! However, what really makes Halloween stand out for us in Disney World are the special treats you can find ALL over the resort. Now, we’ve already tried all the special treats at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but now, we’re trying treats OUTSIDE of the party, including a new ADORABLE treat we just found at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The Minnie Mouse Vanilla Pop is available at Beach Club Marketplace, and it may just be the most adorable Halloween snack we’ve seen yet. Granted, it’s more of a cake BAR than a pop, but Disney is calling it a pop, so we will, too. It’s a vanilla cake pop enrobed in white chocolate for $5.99. Just look at her! It’s adorable We will warn you now…this is a VERY sweet treat, which means kids are going to love it, especially considering the way it looks. It has a classic vanilla cupcake flavor with that vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream vibe, but our sweet tooth was pretty much fulfilled after just a few bites. Kids and those with a major weakness for sugary treats, though, will probably devour it quickly. The flavor also gave us nostalgic vibes as it’s just so classic. EPCOT has never been short on dining options that double as experiences. Grilled Snapper From the global flavors around World Showcase to the character breakfasts and themed sit-downs scattered through, EPCOT’s restaurants are often just as much a draw as the park’s rides. Some of these spots have become bucket-list dining destinations, not necessarily because the food is unforgettable, but because of the atmosphere that surrounds every bite. That’s exactly the case for one of the park’s most unique restaurants, and unfortunately, we’ve got some closure news to share about it. The Coral Reef Restaurant, tucked inside the Seas Pavilion at EPCOT, is set to temporarily close on September 8th. If you’ve never dined here, Coral Reef’s biggest draw isn’t what’s on the menu — it’s what’s on the other side of the glass. The restaurant is lined with panoramic windows that look directly into the massive aquarium at The Seas with Nemo & Friends, meaning you can watch sharks, rays, sea turtles, and countless fish glide by while you eat. It’s one of the most distinctive dining setups in all of Walt Disney World, and it’s part of why the restaurant has held onto such a loyal following over the years. Coral Reef Restaurant As for why Coral Reef is closing, Disney hasn’t given us a clear answer. There’s no official reason listed alongside the closure, and no reopening date has been announced either — Disney has only said the restaurant is expected to return later in 2026. That leaves a pretty wide window of uncertainty for anyone hoping to plan a visit. Coral Reef This wouldn’t be the first adjustment Coral Reef has seen this year. Back in January, the restaurant shifted to a reduced, dinner-only schedule, cutting lunch service entirely starting January 4th. Since then, Coral Reef has only been open from 4 PM to 9 PM daily. Disney never clarified whether that reduced schedule was a temporary test or a permanent shift, and now, with this closure looming, it’s fair to wonder if the two are connected. It’s very possible this is simply a routine refurbishment — restaurants close for maintenance all the time, and Coral Reef is due for some updates. But given the schedule change earlier this year, it’s also possible this closure is another step in some larger plan Disney has for the space. Right now, Disney has not clarified. Surf and Turf If we’re being honest, Coral Reef’s food has never been the main reason to visit — it’s long been more about the setting than the menu. So while we wait to see what this closure brings, we’re hoping Disney uses the downtime for more than just structural upkeep. A menu refresh that finally matches the quality of the atmosphere would go a long way toward making Coral Reef as memorable on the plate as it is through the glass. Coral Reef Restaurant If you had your hopes set on dining at Coral Reef from September 8th or later, you’ll want to make other plans, at least for now. We’ll be watching closely for any updates from Disney about a reopening date or the reason behind the closure, so keep an eye on DFB for the latest as soon as we know more. Spooky season has arrived at Magic Kingdom, and now fall treats are popping up at other parks around Disney World! What’s this?! We recently went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios because we heard about a new treat that had arrived for the Halloween season, and it sounded scary good! As avid Disney food lovers, you know we couldn’t wait to go grab it. Of course, we also couldn’t go eating it and not tell you all our thoughts. One of our favorite quick-service dining spots at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land. They have some great lunchtime options, frozen drinks, and sweet treats. You’ll find it located across from Alien Swirling Saucers and beside Toy Story Mania. Woody’s Lunch Box The dining spot often gets new tarts every once in a while, and the place rarely misses. When Toy Story 5 released in theatres, Woody’s Lunch Box actually dropped a Lilypad-themed tart for the summer! They also dropped a 4th of July tart for the holiday. Well, now that spooky season is here, a brand-new tart has arrived. Something new is here! The new treat is called the Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart! It’s a pumpkin pie-filled pastry topped with marshmallow fondant, Halloween sprinkles, marshmallows, and a chocolate jack-o’-lantern. You can grab the new treat for $5.29. Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart The tart had a classic flaky pie crust filled with just enough pumpkin spice filling to really get the flavors of all the spices. We really appreciated that it’s not too cinnamon-forward. In fact, the treat is really well balanced. The icing on the outside is a classic icing, and it isn’t overpowering whatsoever. Here it is! We really enjoyed this treat! The pumpkin has just enough of that autumnal warmth of spices that you would associate with a really good pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. It’s not really sweet even though it’s basically a Pop-Tart. The marshmallows were soft and added a reminiscent taste of the classic side dish of sweet potato, as far as the bites that had marshmallow go. This was so good! We’re telling you, every time a new tart drops at Woody’s Lunch Box, you have to make a trip over there. It’s so worth it, and this one is just another delicious treat to add to its resume. Halloween season has officially arrived in Disney World, and we’ve been to the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year. We got to check out everything the party offers, including special entertainment, special food, and trick-or-treating. Allergy-friendly trick or treating location However, for some, the trick-or-treating experience has changed this year. If you’re trick-or-treating for allergy-friendly treats, the process is now a lot more convenient and easier, and we think you’re going to love it. So let’s talk about it. In the past, if you needed to go allergy-friendly with the trick-or-treating at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you picked up a teal treat bag, and when Cast Members at treat trails saw it, they would give you a teal token. So instead of candy, you would collect the tokens if you had the teal treat bag. Then, you traded in your tokens at one of two allergy-friendly locations to receive allergy-friendly treats. Token Well, that has changed. Now, you just go to the allergy-friendly locations directly, and Cast Members just give you the candy right there. There are two locations: one at Merchant of Venus and another at the Liberty Square ticket office. You’ll see a sign outside of each location indicating that it’s an allergy-friendly experience. Allergy-friendly treat location You no longer have to go through individual treat trails to get the tokens. You’ll still get a full bag of treats, but they’ll all be allergy-friendly. Allergy-Friendly trick-or-treating There’s also a really good variety of allergy-friendly treats, including YumEarth ChocoYums Chocolate Candies, YumEarth Gummy Bears, YumEarth Organic Pops, Sugar-Free Werther’s Apple Hard Candy, Free2Be Sunflower Butter Sun Cups, and more. Full list of allergy-friendly treats Overall, we think this is a huge upgrade and saves a lot of time if you still want to collect treats. So keep that in mind if you’ll be visiting Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with allergies. We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney World news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. If there’s one thing we love about Disney, it’s all of the subcultures that come along with the brand. Disney Pins! We all love Disney, but some of us have favorite aspects of the parks, like obsessing over the snacks, meeting characters, and even pin trading! Pin Trading is easily one of the most popular subcultures, and weekly pin drops are how we keep the obsession at an all-time high. This week, we found 4 new pins that we think fans are going to love! They’re small, affordable souvenirs, and they often show love to some more niche characters and films. They are also a great way to mark specific celebrations in the parks. The newest pin drop is no exception! Figment Slider Pin ©Disney Figment fans, let us hear you! Go crazy in the crowd for this new pin! This new drop is inspired by EPCOT’s famous purple mascot and his home at the Imagination Institute. Figment can slide up and down behind the podium to show off his famous yellow sweater. Real fans will remember this scene from the ride that inspires the pin! Shop on the Disney Store Mad Hatter and March Hare Pin ©Disney Next up, theme park fans can also get excited about this one! This pin is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Tea Party in Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. Inside that famous spinning teacup, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare can be seen smiling on what we can only imagine is their un-birthdays. This new pin celebrates The Great Mouse Detective‘s 40th Anniversary. The famous villain, Ratigan, can be seen holding open that nefarious yet gorgeous cape. In front of him, Basil of Baker Street stands tall with his detective magnifying glass. There’s also a 40th anniversary logo on Ratigan’s cape! This Halloween pin features Mickey Mouse dressed up with a cape with a houndstooth pattern in the background and a pumpkin pendant at his throat. His classic yellow buttons have been swapped for Jack-O-Lanterns, and his treat bag is FULL of candy we just know it. The best part? This pin glows in the dark for the perfect Halloween vibes! Boo-To-You! We just spent an evening in Magic Kingdom at the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and we’re still feeling all the spookiness and not-so-scariness of the evening. Happy Halloween! We trick-or-treated, we got a kick out of some fun costumes, we saw a parade and witnessed some EPIC creepy fireworks. But more importantly, we ate and drank some exclusive party snacks and drinks. Well, now that we’ve experienced it ALL, we’re going to tell you about our best food and drink picks of the evening! Most Eerie, Yet Tasty, New Snacks Okay, so let’s start out with the best of the Not-So-Scary snacks! These are the new snacks that blew us away and will have us booking another party before Halloween season is over. Up first is the Graveyard Hot Chicken and Waffle at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments! Graveyard Hot Chicken and Waffle This is made with Nashville hot chicken strips, blue cornmeal waffle, and pickle ranch. We LOVED this! The chicken tenders come coated in a balanced Nashville hot honey with just a touch of smokiness, and were perfectly cooked. The heat here does build — so you may want to keep that in mind. The flavors were bold and packed with a chili punch, and the fresh scallions on top were an excellent addition. The waffle is blue cornmeal, though it looks more black. Still, ours was soft, warm, and moist rather than crisp. Overall, we can’t stop raving about this one. The spice on these builds! Next up is the Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe! This is an Angus beef burger with Boursin and brie fondue, crispy onions, and garlic pickles on a toasted black bun, served with French fries. Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger The patty was your typical Cosmic Ray’s burger, but everything else was elevated. The bun had a bit of a nice crunch on the outside and was super airy and soft on the inside. The Boursin and brie cheese mix was creamy and thick, and the flavors went together so well — creating a lovely mild and herby taste. There are chunks of garlic in it, which pack a punch. The pickles provided a welcome acidity and dill flavor, and everything tasted super fresh and crunchy. Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger We also loved the Frightful Black Bean Burger at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. This is a plant-based burger topped with jalapeño-ranch slaw and jalapeño chips on a purple bun, and served with French fries. We really didn’t like anything at Pecos for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but this was great! Frightful Black Bean Burger The black bean patty was smoky, hearty, and packed with plant-based protein. It was smoky and had a barbecue taste to it, and the slaw was really delicious and not too tangy. Let’s take a bite! So that covers new treats, but what about returning ones? Ghastly Returning Snacks You Can’t Miss Now, a lot of the snacks and drinks we had this year have returned from previous years, so we have to tell you about those, too, because we think those shouldn’t be missed. That includes the DOLE Whip Mango and Chamoy Float at Aloha Isle Refreshments. It’s made with DOLE Whip Mango, pineapple juice, chamoy, and chili-lime seasoning, and it’s one of our favorite DOLE Whips EVER. We love how the seasoning isn’t overwhelming — there’s just enough of it to punch up the mango and pineapple flavors. DOLE Whip Mango Chamoy Float We also LOVE LOVE LOVE the Not-So-Poison Apple Doughnuts (doughnuts rolled in apple cider sugar and drizzled with caramel sauce) at Friar’s Nook. The doughnuts are perfect little pillowy pastries with just a bit of a crispy crust, and the apple cider sugar and caramel just complement their flavor so well. Not-So-Poison Apple Doughnuts We’re also still wishing the Candy Bowl Sundae at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies would be available year-round. It’s Vanilla soft-serve topped with chocolate cone dip, SNICKERS bar pieces, TWIX cookie bar pieces, and M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies Halloween Blend. So you’ve got that lovely hardened chocolate cone dip on top, plus those candy bar pieces, and it’s just PERFECTION. It’s like trick-or-treating, but in sundae form. Seriously, this is a contender for our best Disney World sundae EVER. Candy Bowl Sundae Folks craving some spice should check out the Jalapeño Popper Hot Dog at The Lunching Pad! This hot dog is topped with queso fundido, pickled and fried jalapeños, bacon, and onions — and it has no business being this good. Savory, with a freshness from the onions as well as a blend of textures, this hot dog is on the spicier side, but nothing guests with decent heat tolerances can’t handle. Jalapeño Popper Hot Dog If you’re feeling brave, definitely give this a go! Best Not-So-Scary Treats For Kids Of course, there are plenty of treats to please little ghouls, too. We want to highlight a popular dessert! Minnie’s Witch Hat The Minnie Witch Hat at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is a sugar cookie topped with strawberry-banana mousse, buttercream, and two chocolate discs to make 3D Minnie ears. This year, it’s a strawberry-banana version, and it was a BIG win. The strawberry flavor was super subtle, while the banana was really unique for a party dessert. Together, they were light and filling. The outer coating with its thin layer of white chocolate was sweet and thin, and the icing along the bottom was a nice thick buttercream that provided some nice density. Minnie’s Witch Hat Over at Pinocchio Village Haus, you gotta try the Cruella Cookie Sandwich! This treat is filled with raspberry ganache dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles. Cruella Cookie Sandwich The cookie is a thick, nearly fudgy, chocolate chip cookie, and it has a chewy element that’s not too soft. It’s almost like a brownie that’s baked just enough. It’s a messy treat, but that’s probably a plus for kids. This is so tasty! Kids are sure to love these snacks as much as we did. Best Spooky Restaurant Vibes Several Magic Kingdom restaurants are open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. So if you do take up valuable party time for a table service meal, where should you eat? Well, our most consistent experience was at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments! Sleepy Hollow Refreshments The Doom Buggy Dumplings (chicken dumplings with red miso gochujang sauce, furikake, and chili threads) had a nice kick and some good flavor. Doom Buggy Dumplings We already talked about how much we loved the Graveyard Hot Chicken and Waffle! Spicy! We also grabbed the Hatbox Ghost Pop (chocolate crumbs layered with chocolate mousse and dulce de leche, topped with blue crispy pearls and a chocolate piece), and this landed somewhere between a caramelly chocolate pudding and a mousse. It featured big chunks of chocolate crunchies that gave it a great texture. The push-pop format isn’t ideal, but the payoff is worth it — especially given the portion size. Hatbox Ghost Pop We also dug the returning Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae! This pumpkin funnel cake topped with pumpkin gelato, whipped cream, pumpkin-spiced caramel, candy pumpkins, and sprinkles is PERFECT for lovers of all things pumpkin spice. Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae Spoopiest Snack Halloween might be scary, but some of these snacks are downright ADORABLE. Our pick for the prettiest snack goes to the Headless Horseman Treat at Casey’s Corner! Headless Horseman Treat This thing is just so photogenic! This is a pumpkin pie tart topped with whipped cheesecake, spiced caramel panna cotta, candied pecans, and marshmallow buttercream “flames”. The pumpkin pie filling was so smooth, and it held its own against the whipped cheesecake layer, rather than being overpowered by it. The pumpkin filling is also lightly spiced, offering a great balance. The whipped cheesecake layer was the real standout, though. It was silky smooth with just the right amount of tang — providing a classic cream cheese cheesecake flavor without tasting artificial. The pâte sucrée crust was soft, tender, and delicately crumbly. Pumpkin fans will love! The candied pecans added a welcome crunch and a toasty, spiced contrast to all that creaminess, but we wanted more. Otherwise, this was an amazing treat! Most Terrifying Snack Of course, this is STILL a Halloween party, so some snacks dressed the part. We’re talking things shaped like skulls and poison apples and spooky things from Regions Beyond. So which was the MOST terrifying? The new Hades Cake Pop at The Lunching Pad stood out. This is made up of Mexican hot chocolate cake with popping candies dipped in chocolate with blue marshmallow “fire”. Hades Cake Pop The marshmallowy exterior looks like Hades’ hair, and you get some great dark chocolate flavors with each bite. The popping candies definitely come through and provide a crunchy texture, and we ultimately found this to be a very fun treat. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is right around the corner. Literally, it starts THIS weekend. Which means that exciting Disney announcements are almost here! D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event And we just found out about ALL of the perks that Disney+ members can expect to find during this event, so let’s dive in! D23 runs this year from August 14th through 16th in Anaheim, California, and includes everything from exclusive performances, special merchandise, and of course, TONS of brand-new Disney announcements. August is already setting up to be a big month for Disney+ Subscribers thanks to high-profile debuts on the streaming service, including Camp Rock 3 on the 14th and the Leslie Iwerks documentary Disney Worldbuilders on the 20th. However, those additions aren’t the only things to be excited about. Cinderella Castle Disney+ just added a series of NEW perks to its already long list of offerings, including new savings, sweepstakes, and even some X-cellent reading material. Let’s run down some of the latest perks available to Subscribers, some for a limited time. Vacation Savings! Disney+ Subscribers can save 25% on rooms and get free Park Hopper benefits at Disney World when booking select 4-night, 4-day room-and-ticket packages on select nights between September 25th and December 24th. It may technically still be summer, but Halloween season has officially arrived in Disney World. EPCOT We’ve obviously been talking a lot about all the Halloween fun over in Magic Kingdom, but we just found one EPCOT store that has been completely transformed for the Halloween season! On our last visit to EPCOT, we were wandering around World Showcase when we noticed that one store in the American Adventure Pavilion looked completely different. The Art of Disney store, which typically showcases, you guessed it, Disney art, is now filled with tons of Halloween merch! Ghoulish Gallery There is still a bunch of Disney art on the walls, but now the center of the room is full of different Halloween merch. And after speaking with a Cast Member, we found out that the store even got a temporary name change. So for the Halloween season, The Art of Disney has transformed into the Ghoulish Gallery! The Art of Disney has transformed! And if you look around the walls, it even looks like they have added more Halloween and Villain art to match the spirit of spooky season. Spooky Art This is an amazing way to transform a space to perfectly fit into the Halloween vibes, and we already know we will be making more than a few stops here to check out the fun art and spooky merch. We’ve got some great news for the podcast fans out there, especially if you find that you also love seeing the behind-the-scenes of what’s happening in the room while a podcast is being recorded! ©Disney There are a few shows on Disney+ right now that have podcasts that go along with them, detailing additional details of the show, such as Percy Jackson, but now it looks like something similar is on the way for more shows. If you’re a fan of video podcasting, you’ll love this new Disney+ announcement! Today, Disney+ and Hulu today announced a video podcasting deal with iHeartMedia for six iHeartPodcasts titles for popular shows, beginning with none other than Hey, Jonas, which will stream on Disney+ and Hulu starting August 14th. ©Disney That’s not all, though! Video editions of iHeartPodcasts’ Pod Meets World will come to Disney+ soon, as well as Desperately Devoted, Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald, StraightioLab, and Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim to Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for subscribers with the bundle. ©Disney When speaking about the new partnership, Lauren Tempest, Head of Content Planning & Partnerships, DTC at The Walt Disney Company said, “Fans can’t get enough of the stories and talent they love, and podcasts have become one of the fastest growing ways for audiences to connect with them. Desperately Devoted on Hulu will begin streaming with video for the first time on November 2nd, while fans of Scrubs can also revisit each episode of the hit series alongside co-stars and real-life best friends Zach Braff and Donald Faison with Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald, streaming on Hulu beginning later in 2026. Pod Meets World is also slated to premiere August 24th. ©Disney This expansion joins the existing lineup of podcasts on Disney+ and Hulu, which includes titles like Handsome and We’re Here to Help, in addition to rewatch podcasts like The Mess Around with Hannah and Lamorne, Prison Breaking With Sarah and Paul, and That Was Us. Companion podcasts are also available for Disney+ and Hulu’s most popular series, are are quite popular.
