A long day at Disney World starts with the right pair of shoes, and the smartest park visitors know that happy feet can make or break a vacation. One of our favorite shoes! Between walking several miles a day, standing in attraction queues, and hopping from park to park, supportive footwear has become just as important as your park bag or portable charger. If you’ve been wondering what comfortable shoes Disney grandmas are packing for their latest trips, these are three standout options worth adding to your list. Your Feet Will Thank You Before Lunch Hoka Clifton 10 The first few hours in Disney World are always easy. It’s the late afternoon when tired feet start slowing everyone down, especially after miles of walking on concrete. That’s why so many frequent visitors look for shoes that deliver cushioning without feeling bulky. The Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 has become a favorite because it was built for everyday running and walking while staying incredibly lightweight. HOKA updated this version with an extra 3mm heel-to-toe drop for an even softer underfoot feel, while the breathable jacquard knit upper helps keep feet comfortable during long Florida days. The compression-molded EVA foam midsole provides featherlight cushioning, and the double-lock lace helps prevent the tongue from sliding around while you’re on the move. It’s the kind of shoe that makes a rope drop through fireworks day feel much more manageable. view ON amazon Don’t Let Sore Feet Cut Your Day Short On Cloudswift Sneakers Disney sidewalks aren’t exactly forgiving, and plenty of experienced visitors know that responsive cushioning makes a noticeable difference after several hours. The On Women’s Cloudswift Sneakers were designed specifically for hard city surfaces, which makes them a great match for the Disney parks. Their CloudTec cushioning system pairs with Helion superfoam to create soft landings while still giving every step a little extra energy. The engineered mesh upper encourages airflow on hot afternoons, and the supportive cage construction helps keep your foot secure whether you’re power walking to your Lightning Lane return time or heading across EPCOT for dinner. If comfort is your priority, this pair deserves a spot on your packing list. view ON amazon Florida Heat Calls for Something Different — 23% OFF ©Amazon Not everyone wants to wear sneakers every day, especially during the hottest months of the year. Some Disney regulars prefer sandals that stay secure while still offering the support needed for long walks. The Chaco Women’s Z1 Classic Sandals have earned a spot on this list thanks to their fully adjustable straps and podiatrist-certified LUVSEAT footbed, which provides dependable all-day comfort. The quick-drying straps are perfect for surprise rain showers or water rides, while the grippy outsole helps provide steady footing around the parks. They’re also built to last for years, and Chaco even offers repairs so your favorite pair can keep coming along on future vacations. view ON amazon Comfort is one thing you never want to compromise on during a Disney World vacation. Whether you prefer cushioned running shoes or supportive sandals, investing in footwear that keeps you comfortable from morning until nighttime spectaculars can make every park day a little more enjoyable. We’re suckers for a cool piece of Disney merchandise! Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea Over the years, we’ve purchased many, many souvenirs. However, no souvenirs tempt us quite like those in the international parks! Tokyo Disney Resort is particularly good at releasing must-have merchandise, and fans are going to OBSESS over the new pin that dropped. When Fantasy Springs opened in Tokyo DisneySea in 2024, a gorgeous popcorn bucket was released, themed to Peter Pan. The bucket was surrounded on four sides by stunning artwork from the film and made to look like Big Ben. It was incredibly popular at the time! Peter Pan popcorn bucket The bucket even comes topped with a Tinker Bell figure and has an internal light to light up the clock face. It’s perfect for the parks at night, and you can still snag it in Fantasy Springs now! ©Disney But if you want to level up your souvenir game or you’re obsessed with this bucket, you can now snag the Peter Pan Popcorn Bucket Pin. Tokyo Disney Resort announced this new piece of collectible merchandise with a photo alongside the bucket, and they’re TWINS. A souvenir based on another, popular souvenir? It hasn’t been a great year for travel, including flying. Airlines have been struggling due to rising fuel costs, which have resulted in them making some pretty hard decisions, including raising prices for services like checked bags. One airline even went completely out of business. ©American Airlines However, many airlines have felt the need to cut flight routes to save some money. In February, Frontier Airlines cut flights to 10 cities. American Airlines cut six routes in June. Delta has also followed suit by cutting some of its flights. Now, according to AFAR, American Airlines has removed thousands of flights from its schedule. American Airlines is cutting about 5 percent of its domestic routes, more than 23,500 flights, for the rest of the summer through September. This would be the largest amount of flights cut by a major U.S. airline in 2026. The good news is that United isn’t completely canceling every route to specific cities, but it’s focusing on using larger aircraft in those cities as opposed to smaller planes. The biggest change will be fewer departures per day, so you’ll see less choice with flight times. ©American Airlines Most cuts happened in regional markets and with shorter routes. However, United hasn’t released a list of every city that will be affected by these cuts. Higher costs for jet fuel aren’t the only reasons behind American downsizing its routes, though. United had plans for an expansion with Chicago O’Hare International Airport that never happened, so some of the flights that were removed were flights that had been added in anticipation of those changes that never came. American Airlines Plane United is also still flying more in the summer of 2026 than in the summer of 2025, according to a United spokesperson, who said, “While we’ve adjusted our summer schedule, United will fly more flights and offer more seats this summer than last summer. Our summer flying is increasing, not decreasing.” American Airlines/American Eagle plane If you have plans to fly this summer, you’ll want to stay on top of schedule changes. Make sure you have multiple ways for an airline to contact you regarding changes, including email, text messages, and via the airline’s app. You’ll also want to stay a little flexible so you can handle any changes that might happen. It’s a good idea to continue to check your flights regularly after you book them. ©American Airlines We’ll keep an eye out for more travel changes, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Secret menus at Disney World are hiding in plain sight, and these are the items that guests can’t stop ordering lately! Pao de Quiejo Secret menu items are a fun find at Disney World restaurants and lounges all over property. While not every location has some, there are a few that do, and when you find them, it feels like a little scavenger hunt. It’s always worth asking your server if they do have any secret items because you’ll never know what you can find! Pao de Quijo One of the more not-so-secret “secret” menu items can be found at Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. The Pao de Queijo, or cheese bread, has been a favorite of ours here at DFB for a while! Skipper Canteen We’re talking about little balls of cheesy bread served alongside a poblano cream cheese and chimichurri sauce. POBLANO CREAM CHEESE?! These are SO good. We loved the sweet sauce with the slight heat from the pepper cream cheese. We don’t think it was too, too hot, so even those who are spice-aversed might enjoy it! The bread was super doughy, although not as cheesy as the Pao de Queijo we’ve had at EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. ALL THE SAUCE Secret Drinks at Polite Pig Over at Disney Springs, one popular quick-service restaurant is actually keeping a secret—a secret drink menu! The Polite Pig is known for its delicious barbecue, but next time you stop by, head to the bar for these drinks. The Polite Pig You’ll need to tell the bartender “the pig sent me,” and bam! You’ll get the secret drink menu right in front of you. There are three cocktails listed on the menu, including the D3 Private Flight, a Spiced Old Fashioned, and the Black Cherry Old Fashioned. Secret Menu Lobster Mac and Cheese at Nomad Lounge Next, over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can find the Nomad Lounge right next to the signature restaurant, Tiffins. Hand-crafted cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic specialty drinks and small plates, are on offer. But because this lounge shares a kitchen with Tiffins, that also means you can order some secret menu items that you’ll find at the signature restaurant next door. Nomad Lounge The Lobster Mac and Cheese is a hit, but you may not see it on the menu, so ask your server if it’s available. It’s made with chunks of lobster, shell noodles, and a homemade cheese sauce. We thought this dish was super flavorful! Lobster Mac and Cheese Secret Drinks at Yak & Yeti While you’re at Animal Kingdom, head over to the Yak & Yeti for more secret menu drinks. There are four new secret menu drinks right now: Camp VI made with Old Forester Bourbon, yuzu simple syrup, and habanero shrub Scorpion Sting made with Milagaro Tequila, Cointreau, yuzu, cucumber, lime, and siracha Ridgeline made with Tito’s Vodka, Licor 43, pandan extract, espresso, simple syrup Blueberry Zen Yak & Yeti Restaurant bar We recently tried the Blueberry Zen for $18, made with Tito’s Vodka, Cointreau, blueberry, lemon, pineapple, and orange citrate. The orange was really the star here! It tasted like the part of the orange where the orange ends and the rind begins. The vodka was subtle with a slight burn, and the pineapple and blueberry also had their moments to come through. The blueberry was not a main flavor, but the other ones were quite enjoyable together. It wasn’t as sweet as we might have preferred, and we wouldn’t call it a fruity drink, despite the description. That being said, if you want a simpler drink that’s pretty, this could be the one for you. Blueberry Zen Keep your eyes open for secret menu items around Disney World, and it’s always worth asking your server! For more dining reviews and Disney news, be sure to follow DFB! Disney World does everything possible to accommodate people with allergies, as well as those with certain food intolerances, to make dining an incredible part of your vacation. However, one thing Disney World cannot control is the outbreak of a parasite. Mixed Greens Salad The spread of cyclospora cases has been making headline news all over the U.S. Now, CBS News has reported that Florida has also reported cases of cyclosporiasis in recent months. So what does that mean for your Disney World trip? Let’s look at the data. The CDC has reported cyclospora infections in 17 states, including Florida, with a combined 145 confirmed cases from early May through June 16th. According to ClickOrlando, 36 of those cases have happened in Florida, with the heaviest concentration of cases in Lee and Broward counties. Tropical Salad at Typhoon Lagoon The cause of the recent rise in cases hasn’t been determined, but the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has pegged previous outbreaks in the U.S. and Canada to bagged salad mixes, fresh cilantro, fresh basil, raspberries, snow peas, and scallions. This is why the CDC has stressed the importance of washing all fruits and vegetables under running water, as well as scrubbing harder fruits and vegetables. 1981 Salad at Homecomin’ So how does this affect Disney World? Well, no cases have been linked to the theme parks, and part of the fresh produce you eat in restaurants there is actually grown at the resort. If you’ve ever been on Living With the Land in EPCOT, you’ll learn more about how produce is grown for Disney World restaurants. However, because Disney World has so many restaurants and mouths to feed, the rest of its produce probably comes from local farms and food services like Sysco. Side Caesar Salad According to the CDC, you’ll usually begin to have symptoms of cyclosporiasis about a week after eating or drinking contaminated food or beverages. Common symptoms include diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss, cramping, bloating, nausea, and fatigue. Most who contract the disease recover without needing medical treatment. However, this could mean that there are many unreported cases, so the numbers could be higher. Tuna Salad Sandwich Again, no outbreaks have been linked to Disney World, and the Disney World area, including Orange and Osceola counties, has only seen a total of four cases. So, as of now, this outbreak should not cause severe issues for your Disney World vacation. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom We’ll keep an eye on the situation and keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Downtown Disney is one of the best ways to start your Disneyland trip. We love to check into our hotel in the morning and then spend the afternoon and evening eating, drinking, and shopping around the district. Din Tai Fung The shopping area is full of well-known brands, Disney-created stores, and local restaurants, and together they make a perfect combination of things you know, with more to try. A new drink is hitting the menu at one of the restaurants, and we are so excited. Starting on July 14th, you can grab the Little Red Dragon at Din Tai Fung in Downtown Disney. It’s a bold, spicy-meets-tropical cocktail and will only be available at this location. ©Din Tai Fung Crafted with Din Tai Fung’s signature chili oil-infused Ilegal Mezcal, the cocktail is shaken with bright pineapple, fresh lime and agave, then finished with a sesame Tajín rim for the perfect balance of smoky, sweet, citrusy heat. ©Din Tai Fung While you’re at Din Tai Fung, make sure you grab some of the buns! We’ve tried a few throughout the years, and one of our favorites is the Kurobuta Pork Buns. Seriously, look how pretty they are. Kurobuta Pork Buns The Shrimp and Pork Spicy Wontons are pretty fun too. We love the kick of the spice and how the wontons were light and fluffy with plenty of filling. Wontons Okay, we also really like the Chicken Dumplings here. What can we say? You really can’t go wrong here and we love to dive into wontons, pork buns, bao, and dumplings. Chicken Dumplings Make sure you grab the Little Red Dragon while you’re there. We love specialty drinks, especially if they’re only there for a limited time. A new restaurant from one of our favorite celebrity chefs has finally opened at Disneyland! Let’s eat! Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is now open at Downtown Disney, and we’re taking you along with us to try it for the first time. Should this new restaurant be at the top of your list when visiting? Let’s find out! Atmosphere Right off the bat, we were in love with how open the space feels. It brings those California vibes in but serves classic British dishes, including some of Gordon Ramsay’s most famous dishes. Outdoor seating The terrace overlooks Downtown Disney and offers a great view of the fireworks on select nights. The view It will serve dinner from 4:30 PM to 10 PM. You can make a reservation on OpenTable, though some walk-up tables may be available. Inside bar Menu The menu is packed with British favorites plus a few American classics. There are appetizers that include Parker Rolls and G.F.C. Chicken Wings… ©Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby …salads such as a Carnaby Heirloom Tomato Salad, Caesar Salad, and a Waldorf Salad… ©Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby …and some incredible steaks to try. The Prime Rib Cart sounds amazing! ©Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby If you’re a fan of Gordon Ramsay, you might see a few familiar dishes on the entrees list! There’s a Beef Wellington and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, and we noticed other British classics like Bangers & Mash and Cottage Pie. ©Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby There’s also a small kids’ menu and a few sides to add on. ©Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby They also offer a few different desserts, and we can’t stop eyeing the Sticky Toffee Pudding. ©Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby Now that we know the menu, let’s eat! Eats First up, we started with the Parker Rolls for $14, which are warm brioche and whipped butter. Parker Rolls What a perfect way to start off our meal! These were warm, fluffy, and delicious. The brioche bread was buttery, with a slightly baked, crunchy outside and a moist, soft, flaky interior. There was also salt on top, and it felt seasoned to perfection. Everything paired really well with the butter, too. SO fluffy We couldn’t resist the Beef Wellington! This costs $73 and is served with potato puree, fresh herb salad, and a red wine demi. Beef Wellington The Beef Wellington is famous for a reason, and our reporter called it “utter perfection.” It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, then wrapped in a crispy puff pastry with mushroom duxelles and Dijon mustard. The red wine demi-glace poured over it complemented the dish and brought it together. We even loved the potato puree, which was like elevated mashed potatoes that went beautifully with the red wine demi as well. Perfectly cooked We also had the Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips for $33, which comes with triple-cooked chips, tartar sauce, and mushy peas. Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips The tartar sauce totally stole the show on this one! Without the sauce, we felt the breading on the fish was a little bland, and the fish itself was a little over-salted. It wasn’t quite our favorite, and the fries didn’t really stand out to us either. Now, once you add that tartar sauce, we did enjoy it, but we might opt for something else since there are so many fun things we want to try on the menu. Flaky Then we tried the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese for $16, which is one of the side options. Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese The mac and cheese felt elevated from your traditional mac and cheese with that smoked gouda flavor coming through. It has a thick, creamy texture that complements the perfectly cooked noodles. The gouda has that smoky flavor, but it’s not overpowering and pairs well with the rest of the sauce and noodles. Even once it cooled down, it stayed creamy and gooey, and our reporter said, “probably the best mac and cheese of my life.” Now that’s a huge compliment! Digging in Finally, we ended our meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding for $15. This is a warm date cake with ice cream, topped with toffee sauce. Sticky Toffee Pudding Now this is the perfect way to end the meal — seriously, don’t skip this one! It was insanely delicious. It was ooey and gooey, and an easy dessert to share at the table because it was so rich. The toffee sauce was served warm and complemented the cake, and the ice cream on top was just what it needed to tie it all up together in a delicious bow. Incredible. SO good Nosh or Not You should head to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby if… You’re looking for a show-stopping meal — We were blown away by almost everything we ordered, and trust us, we eat a lot of Disney food! The restaurant truly blew away our expectations, and it is easily going to be near the top of our favorite Downtown Disney restaurants. You are a celebrity chef fan — If your family has watched every season of Hell’s Kitchen together, the restaurant can feel nostalgic. You can finally try all the dishes you’ve heard about on TV from Gordon Ramsay’s actual recipes, which can be a dream come true. You’re ready a more upscale meal and somehwere to relax — Disneyland can be full of chaos and running around and sometimes, it’s ncie to sit back and relax over a longer meal. It can be great for a special date night or celebration, or just when you need a few moments during your trip. You might want to skip if… You prefer more affordable options — While we felt like the portion sizes were good for the dishes, it’s still a hefty price tag, especially for some of the more iconic dishes like Beef Wellington. The bill can easily add up for a party of two, so you can imagine what it is for the whole family. You’re not planning on dining in Downtown Disney — There are plenty of food options throughout Disneyland, and you might not want to leave the parks for a longer meal there. While Downtown Disney is nearby (unlike Disney Springs in Disney World), you can still lose precious park time that you might not be willing to spare. You have access to great British food — While it can feel special in America, if going back home means you already have your favorite fish and chip place, it might not be necessary to take the time to try food you can have at home. Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby Overall We had a seriously good time here! The restaurant exceeded our expectations, and the service was top tier. We felt like the portion sizes were great, and almost all of our dishes were major hits that we would order again. If you’re a Gordon Ramsay fan, you’ll want to come try his signature dishes, but even if you don’t care whose name is on the outside, you’ll find classic dishes taken to the next level and full of flavor. We couldn’t stop saying “delicious” the whole time, and we’ll be back easily to try more. In the meantime, keep following Disney Food Blog for more restaurant reviews, so you know what’s worth stopping for on your Disney trip. From the best sit-down restaurants that your family will talk about for years to come to the ice cream treat you need after a long day in the parks, we have it all right here at DFB. There are NEW attractions coming to Magic Kingdom! ©Disney If you recall, Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat closed in 2025 to make way for a new Cars-themed area in Frontierland. This addition is called Piston Peak, and it will include two new attractions. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction to see the progress, and today we have a fun update! Walls completely surround the former Rivers of America these days, and they cover a great deal of the construction, but from certain angles in Frontierland, you can see past the walls to get a glimpse of what changes are being made. For instance, it looks like there’s a NEW addition to one of the old boat docks! A new building? The structure pictured here in front of Memento Mori was a secondary boat dock previously used for the Rivers of America that hadn’t been in operation for a long time. It was briefly used as extended queue area for Haunted Mansion, but now it’s behind walls and being transformed for Piston Peak. A shed-like structure has been added to the outside, which looks like it will enclose part of the space. Something is being added! Other than that, much of the construction work being done still revolves around moving dirt and leveling the area. We can’t wait to see more of the structures getting put into place! Piston Peak Construction And the former Liberty Belle Riverboat boarding area? It’s still standing and ropes close it off. Walls cover the entry to the dock itself. After a long, hot day exploring one of Disney World’s theme parks, there are very few better feelings than plopping down onto your hotel’s bed for the night. Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort Hotel Room However, be warned that you might run into an annoying issue with your Disney hotel room’s sheets. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. The issue to look out for is the dreaded “short sheet.” Disney uses flat sheets as opposed to fitted sheets, and because of either the size of the sheet they use or the fact that the bottom sheet is tucked in so tightly at the top of the mattress, there’s barely any length left to properly tuck in at the foot of the bed. This causes the sheet to not reach its full length and extend past the end of the mattress enough to stay secure. Disney’s Beach Club Resort So, the sheets tend to “creep up” the bed, especially on those with a tendency to move in their sleep, leaving guests sleeping directly on their mattress. This can be incredibly annoying, especially when one is trying to get a good night’s sleep between long theme park days. Royal Guest Room at Port Orleans Resort – Riverside Now, there is a hack to get around this: Bring your own fitted sheet. Toss a basic, inexpensive fitted sheet that doesn’t take up much space in a suitcase, then pop it on over the mattress pad when you arrive at your hotel room. The fitted sheet will stay in place, your feet will stay covered, and the sheets won’t wake you up in the middle of the night. Disney hotels even have laundry available, so you can wash the sheets before you head home if you wish. Laundry Machines at Port Orleans French Quarter Simple solution, right? Well, it should be… as long as you get the right kind of sheet. ©Amazon For example, this set from Amazon Basics is super soft, made with a breathable, wrinkle-resistant material, and is a 4-Piece Bed Sheet Set with 14-Inch-Deep Pockets, so you can bring the whole set to your Disney resort. SHOP HERE From our experience, what you don’t want to do is try something like these Disposable Bed Sheets. We were NOT a fan of these. The texture is similar to the paper smocks you wear at a doctor’s office, and we could easily see where that could be triggering/bring up bad memories for people. In other words, this is definitely NOT what you’re looking for on vacation. We’re not a fan of these disposable bed sheets! If you don’t like the sound of running into the “short sheet” problem at Disney World, we’d advise throwing your own sheet into your suitcase. Just make sure it’s not the disposable kind! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World tips. 7 Things That Will Definitely Surprise You About Your Disney World Hotel Room Have you ever dealt with the “short sheet” issue at a Disney World hotel? When you’re planning a trip to Disney World, one of the most important things to consider is where you will be staying. There are a lot of opinions about which Disney Resorts are the best, which are worth a splurge, and which are not. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Well, we reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask which Disney hotels were their absolute dream to stay at, and it’s safe to say there are a lot of opinions about where you should be spending your money when you stay on Disney property. Let’s dive in! After posting this question, we got SO many replies, and while you might think that everyone’s dream hotel was a super fancy deluxe resort, that was not always the case. One user shared, “Port Orleans Riverside has my heart!!” This resort is in the Moderate category, but it is so peaceful and pretty that it is many people’s favorite hotel. But, unsurprisingly, the majority of replies were discussing which of the Deluxe hotels was worth the price and a dream come true to stay at. Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside Someone shared, “The Contemporary. I absolutely LOVE a room in the tower with an MK view! Nothing beats sitting out on the balcony and watching the boats, hearing the train, and seeing those fireworks at night. It’s pure magic!” Not only is the Contemporary on the Monorail, giving guests easy access to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but there is also a short walking path directly to Magic Kingdom, which is an amazing perk of this resort. The Contemporary While someone else said, “Dream resort is Riviera. One day I’ll splurge on it. One day.” Disney’s Riviera Resort is a gorgeous hotel, and although we love the vibes, the rooms can be very small, which is something important to consider since it is a more expensive hotel. Another user shared, “For years and years it’s been Beach Club. The lobby smell, the closeness to Epcot… just can’t be any better for us.” We love that this hotel is within walking distance to both EPCOT and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, giving you access to so many great food options just steps away from your resort. The Riviera Resort But it seems like many people share this user’s sentiment, “Are we allowed more than one??” Which we totally understand! There are so many incredible resorts across Disney property, it can be extremely difficult to choose the right one for you and your group, and to know which are worth the hefty price tag. Walt Disney World’s Skyliner has been one of the resort’s most popular transportation methods since it opened back in 2019. Skyliner at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort However, there are some important things first-time guests need to know – – or returning guests need to remember – – before hopping into one of the gondolas. Weather Issues Can Happen Rainy weather is pretty common in Central Florida, and when the seemingly daily summer rainstorm happens, the Skyliner may be delayed. In fact, if there’s lightning, too much wind, or any other weather condition that can affect the safety of guests, the Skyliner will be shut down. Rain on the Skyliner When the Skyliner unexpectedly goes down — either due to weather or technical issues — things can be a bit of a nightmare as other Disney transportation systems at the Skyliner parks or hotels, like boats or buses, become swamped. After all, according to Disney, the system’s 304 gondolas currently carry over 10x the ridership of New York City’s well-known Roosevelt Island Ariel Tramway annually, which means when it’s down, there’s a lot of people to move. Look for a sign to let you know the Skyliner is closed! Those Afraid of Heights Should NOT Ride The Skyliner, as the name implies, soars high above Walt Disney World, with its gondola cars suspended by cables. While that may seem like common sense, people can sometimes be fooled at the ground level by just how high the Skyliner actually is. Suffice to say, we wouldn’t recommend riding to those who don’t like being high up, especially on windier days when the gondolas have a tendency to sway a bit. Skyliner The Cabins are NOT Air-Conditioned Be aware that the Skyliner gondolas are NOT air-conditioned. Now, they do have vents to keep the air flow while the vehicle is moving. However, if they stop even briefly, the Skyliner cars can get a wee bit toasty, especially at the height of summer. Inside the Disney Skyliner Taking the Skyliner to EPCOT May Change Your Rope Drop Plans While the Skyliner does travel to EPCOT, it doesn’t drop guests off at the front of the park, but rather at the International Gateway in the World Showcase between France and the United Kingdom Pavilions. So, if a guest wants to rope drop EPCOT and head immediately to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or even Frozen Ever After, they’re good. EPCOT Skyliner However, trying to rope drop, say, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, probably won’t work given how far the International Gateway is from that coaster. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Be Wary of January Each January, the Skyliner closes for annual maintenance. For example, 2027 will see the gonodola system closed from January 24th through January 30th. During these closures, Disney does provide complimentary bus service between the four Skyliner resorts (Art of Animation, Pop Century, the Riviera Resort, and the Caribbean Beach Resort) and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Disney World Skyliner Whether your next trip on the Skyliner is your first, 50th, or 500th, be sure to keep these things in mind before going airborne. There are lots of changes going on in Disney World these days! This is a big change! The theme parks are expanding, and the hotels are getting big updates. While not every switch has been well received, this new change has been popular with Disney fans online. Here’s what you guys are saying about Disney World’s new Aunt Flow products! In case you missed it, Disney has started introducing Aunt Flow products to their bathrooms… FOR FREE! If you’ve never heard of Aunt Flow, it’s a woman-owned business whose mission is to “fight period poverty and end the stigma surrounding menstruation.” The company advocates for businesses and schools to offer high-quality pads and tampons for free in all of their bathrooms because their core belief is that if toilet paper is free, period products should be too. Aunt Flow products in EPCOT In Disney World, you could find period products for free in deluxe hotel rooms and First Aid, although those were in limited quantities. In other bathrooms throughout the resort, you would have to purchase period products in Disney World, and if you didn’t have change, you were out of luck. Now, thanks to Aunt Flow, these free products are expanding to multiple Disney World bathrooms. Online, hundreds of Disney fans had big opinions about this update! On Instagram, @fire.wine.victory wrote, “This is BRILLIANT. And it’s not like Disney can’t afford it!” One of the tampons “This isn’t a small change! It’s a huge step towards normalizing and widely accepting what naturally happens with our bodies. It’s a basic and fundamental component of life for half the population. To not have to panic and find loose change or run to first aid like a broken person is a big deal. I want my daughters to never have to feel panic and shame over their periods!” commented @arianne31. In EPCOT’s bathrooms @beccahsmith_ commented, “As someone who was ‘surprised’ in the Adventureland bathroom, with no quarter and had to diy, this is amazing!” We’ve been there too! They’re free! @shaylovessports commented, “Disneyland parks have had free tampons and pads for years. Glad to see WDW catch up.” It’s true, Disneyland has been leading the pack on this change for a while now. We’ve also seen that this has been expanded to the Disney Cruise Line as well, so it’s not just the theme parks. During our time in the parks, so far we’ve seen them in quite a few bathrooms like the ones in the American Adventure Pavilion, the Morocco Pavilion, the Odyssey Pavilion, the restrooms near Test Track, and more. We’ve also noticed them in the bathrooms at the entrance of EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, so they are slowly expanding to all of the bathrooms. The back of the package! In a rare moment online, we didn’t see any glaringly negative comments on the news in our comment section! Some fans did express concern that people might take all of the period products to “stock up” instead of just grabbing them as needed, but other fans replied, asking us to “have a little faith” in each other. So far, Disney has kept the restrooms we have seen the Aunt Flow products in well stocked, so hopefully this won’t be an issue in the future. This is a small but mighty change for tons of Disney guests, so we are extremely excited to see it. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news, updates, fan opinions, and more. There is no avoiding it, Disney World is HOT in the summer. Between the heat and the humidity, your days in the park can get uncomfortable fast, especially at midday when the sun is hottest. It also has a great misting feature that really helps to get you cooler than a traditional fan. We also love that it has three different speeds, so you can decide which setting helps cool you down best. Say it ain’t so! As construction continues around Disney World, you’ll need to learn new walking paths, remember which rides are closed, and more to navigate your vacation. Frontierland In Magic Kingdom, one of our favorite ways to navigate the crowds is officially gone, but not in the way you might think. We’re breaking down what this subtle update to the My Disney Experience app really means. If you’ve ever been in Frontierland when a parade is going on, you might know that it’s a madhouse! The crowds are extremely apparent in this area, and it can be really hard to navigate your way to get to your next stop. That’s why we love the Frontierland Boardwalk path! The boardwalk path in Frontierland This walking path is the best way to avoid crowds while heading to Big Thunder Mountain or even the Haunted Mansion. It’s a wide path where you can’t watch the parade from, so it doesn’t get as crowded as the rest of the streets during those busy times. We’ve had a feeling that the boardwalk path wouldn’t survive the land’s construction, but now we think our suspicions have been confirmed. The land is currently adding a new area called Piston Peak, which will be a Cars-inspired land. Piston Peak construction Our first suspicions started when Disney released some concept art that didn’t clearly show the boardwalk path in it, implying the boardwalk would be removed along with the rest of the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. This concept art below was released in 2024, and has since been updated. So far, it has survived! Cars Area Concept Art ©Disney Then, Disney gave us new concept art in 2025 that showed the walking path! This left us hopeful that the designated path might stick around for our “parade avoiding” path. ©Disney Now, the path has disappeared! Well, only sorta disappeared. It has officially been removed from the My Disney Experience app, leading us to once again believe that the walking path will be removed once Piston Peak construction continues. ©My Disney Experience There is still a small section of it, which takes you around the bottom of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, towards Big Thunder Mountain. That being said, the rest of it has been removed! Disney, please say it ain’t so! We love this cut-through! ©My Disney Experience At the time of writing, the path is still around in the park, though! Guests can still use it to cut through the masses for some thrills. It does make us worry that it won’t be around forever. Hopefully, this is just a temporary change to the app, and it signals construction coming to the walking path, not that it’s being removed entirely. ©bioreconstruct Piston Peak, which doesn’t have an opening timeline yet, will have 2 new attractions as well as new characters, shopping, and more. For the main attraction in the area, guests can check out the Rally Racers Attraction, where you can race through the mountains on wild terrain along mountain trails as you dodge geysers and splash through mud holes on an exciting and thrilling rally race ride. @Disney There will also be a family attraction for “smaller racers” that Disney hasn’t released more details on just yet. We’re hoping we will get more information during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this walking path can somehow survive the Frontierland carnage, but we aren’t too hopeful. You might think that if you’re visiting one of Disney’s international theme parks, like Tokyo Disney Resort, you might need some extra help navigating Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. It can be confusing traveling to a park you’re not as familiar with, after all. Ariel at Tokyo Disney Resort However, if you plan on hiring a tour guide to help you during your Tokyo Disney Resort trip, you need to know that the resort has issued a warning about using certain tour guides. A new warning has appeared on the Tokyo Disney Resort website that states the following: “Please Be Aware of Private Tours Unaffiliated with Tokyo Disney Resort. It has been confirmed on social media platforms that reservation sites for private tours where tour guides, unaffiliated with Tokyo Disney Resort, are offering tours of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Please do not book or purchase from such sources. Additionally, Tokyo Disney Resort prohibits any unauthorized commercial activities.” ©Tokyo Disney Resort That means if you’re hiring a tour guide from social media that isn’t directly affiliated with Tokyo Disney Resort, you should not hire them. This is generally a prohibited activity in ALL Disney Parks, but it serves as a reminder that if you want a tour of Tokyo Disney Resort, you should hire guides directly from the resort. Tokyo Disney Resort does have VIP Tour Services, and you can find more information on the resort’s official website.
