We found MORE spooky season treats at Disney World, so you already know we had to go try them for ourselves! Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich Disney World has SO many incredible snacks and treats for the Halloween season that we just keep finding more and more to try. On our last visit to Animal Kingdom, we found two new treats, and we are bringing you our FULL review. On our last trip to Animal Kingdom, we visited Terra Treats to check out two of their new fall treats, starting with the Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae for $8.49. This is made with cookies and cream ice cream, pieces of chocolate, pumpkin candy, and Halloween sprinkles, served in a waffle cone bowl. Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae The ice cream was smooth and so creamy. The little chocolate candies throughout came in various shapes that added a great crunch to each bite. We would have loved it if there were more cookie pieces in the cookies and cream ice cream, but all the toppings made up for it! Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae The waffle cone bowl was nice and crunchy, and was lined with sprinkles and chocolate icing. If you are a fan of cookies and cream and want to get into the Halloween spirit with a fun treat, this dessert is a very cute option. While this wasn’t anything groundbreaking or super unique, if you’re craving some good ice cream, you will not be disappointed with this! Boneyard Cookies & Scream Sundae We also grabbed the Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich for $8.29. This is made with vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, chocolate brownie, chocolate chips, fall sprinkles, and sea salt flakes. Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich This is the fall version of the iconic Ice Cream Sandwich, and if you love cookie dough, this should be a must-try treat for you. The cookie dough, ice cream, and brownie all blend together nicely, with the sprinkles adding a nice, much-needed crunch. This is an incredibly sweet dessert, so if that is something you enjoy, you’ll love this. But if super-sweet treats are not your thing, we would recommend trying something else. Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich Overall, if you really love cookie dough, you should try this one, but we did enjoy the sundae more and would pick that one on our next visit. Look at those layers! We will continue to bring you food reviews from across Disney World, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog so you never miss anything! Pour yourself a Mickey-shaped cup of coffee, because we need to talk about the Disney Believe! Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship is set to debut in late 2027, and we’re already on the edge of our seats. As the fourth ship in the Wish class, it’s dedicated to dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after. Disney Believe Here’s the thing: Disney hasn’t spilled many details about this cruise ship yet. But there’s a livestream reveal of the Disney Believe scheduled for October 7th, and you’d better believe (ha) fans will be glued to their screens. In fact, we’ll actually be at this event in person, bringing you everything you need to know about the Believe — and all the fun has already started! The Disney Believe ship will be the ninth Disney Cruise Line ship and the fourth Wish Class ship in the fleet, and it is set to open in late 2027. We were invited out on the Disney Wish to celebrate and learn more about the Disney Believe, which recently saw the first of the gigablocks completed and floated out in the shipyard! If you are unaware, a gigablock is basically a large puzzle piece, and when they are all put together, you get a fully built cruise ship. We’re on the Disney Wish learning all about the Disney Believe! Disney just told us that the second gigablock construction is currently underway, which means we’re getting closer and closer to having a fully put-together cruise ship! The Believe also just hit a major milestone: the keel laying ceremony! This is a maritime tradition that is designed to bestow good luck on the ship. ©Disney Disney previously revealed that the atrium statue for this ship will be Moana, the bow of the ship will feature Tinker Bell, and the stern will have Buzz and Woody coloring the ship’s name. ©Disney During our first day on the Disney Wish, we received this card with somewhat of an ominous message. You see, Disney is going to just give away all the details about the Believe. Instead, they’re sending us on a scavenger hunt for clues! We’ll have to find the clues in order to be able to get details, and it all culminates during the Disney Believe livestream taking place on Wednesday, which we’ll be attending in person. What does it mean?! We also got to preview a drink that will be exclusive to the Believe! Of course, Disney didn’t share many details — other than the fact that it’s Evil Queen-themed. We’re wondering if this is a hint about one of the lounges coming to the ship, like the Spellbound Lounge on the Disney Adventure — which is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-themed and has LOTS of Evil Queen details. Evil Queen drink We thought the drink was tasty, but very sweet. It had a heavy green apple flavor and featured a subtle amount of bubbles. The green apple flavor was more syrupy and sugary than fruity. We think there may have also been some notes of caramel, but they were very, very subtle. We can’t wait! Make sure you mark your calendar and set your alarm for the Disney Believe livestream on Wednesday, October 7th at 4:30 PM ET! We’ll be on the lookout for additional details about the Disney Believe throughout our week away at sea! In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. Will you be booking a trip on the Disney Believe? Let us know in the comments below! The candy canes, the Mickey wreaths, tons of peppermint…ah, I can picture it now. That’s a Disney Christmas if I’ve ever seen one! Christmas is coming up, and even though it feels a bit early, now is the best time to grab holiday essentials before they sell out. You also want to make sure it ships in time so you can decorate when you want and have those perfectly wrapped presents under the tree when you need them. ©Disney The Disney Store has so many new finds for all your holiday needs. From new Loungefly bags, toys, and Mickey ears, we’ve got all of our favorites right here. Santa Mickey Mouse Loungefly Crossbody ©Disney To start us off strong, this Loungefly is perfect for your visit to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It has a removable coin bag to store small essentials, and we love this year’s color palette, which still screams Christmas without being over the top. SHOP NOW Minnie Mouse Plaid Ear Headband ©Disney Another park essential! These ears are elegant with a soft velvet bow in the middle. Beautiful details include rhinestone Mickey icons and beads. Paired with leggings and a spirit jersey, this might be our go-to outfit all season long. SHOP NOW Mickey Mouse Velvet Hip Pack ©Disney Looking for a small bag to hold your essentials without being over-the-top holiday? This might be perfect. The hip pack (or fanny pack, like we used to call it) can be worn around your waist or as a crossbody bag and is perfect for your phone, wallet, and keys. We love the velvet details and the tiny Mickey head. SHOP NOW Santa Mickey Mouse Crocs for Kids ©Disney These would be amazing to wear while unwrapping Christmas presents! It also has two water bottle pouches on the side and two big zippered compartments to keep everything organized. SHOP NOW Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Headband Plush ©Disney Are you a fan of the customizable headbands? Then you need to add this to your collection. If there is one thing Disney World has taught us, it’s that the margin of error between “BEST DAY EVER!” and “I would like to return to my hotel immediately” can be surprisingly small. Hello from EPCOT! Sometimes it’s a dead MagicBand+. Sometimes it’s a backpack slowly cooking your back. Sometimes it’s realizing the people in the hotel room next door have decided 1AM is the perfect time for a spirited family discussion. That’s why we’re always testing Disney World essentials, and right now, several of the ones we’ve used ourselves are on sale at Amazon. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We’re tracking the biggest and best Disney deals on Amazon right now. We will be updating this list daily leading up to the sale and all throughout the sale! You can see over 100 Disney deals happening online now by clicking the button below! view 100 disney deals ON AMAZON Doohoeek Charging Station 4-in-1 for MagicBand+ If your Disney World hotel room looks like a small electronics repair shop by the end of the night, we understand. We’re all in that same boat of device-dependency. Phones. Portable chargers. Watches. Fans. MagicBand+ chargers. And they all require an outlet! Charging Station for MagicBand+ That’s why we’ve become fans of this MagicBand+ charging station. It lets you charge up to FOUR MagicBand+ devices at once instead of bringing individual charging cables for everyone in your group. Charging our MagicBand We did find during our testing that getting the bands situated on the charger can take a little fiddling, so this isn’t a completely flawless solution. But once everybody’s bands are parked for the night, you have one charging station doing the work of four. For families using MagicBand+ throughout their trip, that is one less cable nest to excavate every morning. view ON AMAZON Shark ChillPill 3-in-1 Fan, Mist and Cooling Plate We have tested enough portable fans at Disney World to qualify for some sort of unofficial degree in Florida Heat Management. And the Shark ChillPill is an interesting one. It combines a fan, misting function, and cooling plate in one portable device. During our testing, we weren’t blown away by every feature. The fan wasn’t as powerful as some larger options we’ve tried, and we barely noticed the mist. Shark Chill Pill But that cooling plate? That’s a new level of genius. It gets surprisingly cold, and pressing it against the back of your neck when Disney World has turned into one enormous outdoor sauna feels fantastic. Shark Chill Pill Fan This is normally one of the pricier cooling gadgets we’ve tested, so a sale is a much better time to add it to your park bag. view ON AMAZON Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine We’ve talked about this thing a lot, and for good reason. Disney World hotel rooms can be wonderful places to collapse after walking 25,000 steps. They can also come with hallway conversations, toilets flushing next door, doors slamming, kids discovering the exciting acoustic properties of hotel corridors, and the occasional neighbor whose indoor voice never made it to Florida. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine The Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine is tiny enough that we don’t mind sacrificing suitcase space for it. It has 16 sounds, 35 volume levels, a timer, and USB-C charging. This is one of those Disney World purchases that doesn’t feel particularly exciting while you’re packing. At 12:47AM, when somebody outside your room is loudly debating tomorrow’s Lightning Lane strategy? Now, you’re glad you have (and that it has those 35 volume settings!). view ON AMAZON VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer Let’s discuss the dreaded Disney World Backpack Back. You know it. You remove your backpack after several hours in the parks and discover that Florida’s newest unexplored swamp area has been growing between your back and your bag. VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer We tested the VentaPak for months, and this strange-looking little contraption won us over. It attaches to your backpack and creates a gap between the bag and your back, allowing air to circulate instead of letting your backpack sit directly against you all day. We also found that it helped redistribute the weight of our bag across our back. Look at that air flow! There are trade-offs. You’ll need to tighten your backpack straps to get the best fit, and it can make your bag slightly more annoying to take on and off. But if you carry a backpack around Disney World from rope drop until somebody starts sweeping you toward the exit, we’d argue that reducing the swamp situation happening behind you is a pretty compelling benefit. view ON AMAZON BAGSMART Travel Toiletry Bag This BAGSMART bag has reached “DFB recurring character” status. We’ve used it ourselves, and it keeps showing up in our packing recommendations for one reason: it holds a LOT without turning your toiletries into one enormous pile. BAGSMART Travel Toiletry Bag It has multiple compartments to separate makeup, skincare, brushes, toiletries, and all the other little things that somehow multiply the second you start packing for vacation. There are mesh pockets, elastic straps, and a waterproof section that can help contain wet items or products you’re worried might leak. BAGSMART Travel Toiletry Bag And because the bag opens wide, you don’t have to perform an archaeological dig every time you need the sunscreen that has inevitably migrated to the bottom. If you’re still traveling with three cosmetic bags, two plastic bags, and one bottle of shampoo wrapped in a prayer, this might be the upgrade. view ON AMAZON We’ve tested these products, packed them, carried them through the parks, and brought several of them back on subsequent trips. And when the things we already recommend drop in price, that’s when we’re paying attention. We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! View the full article

Grim grinning ghosts aren’t the only ones coming out to socialize this season, because the Halloween treats have officially arrived at Disney World! If you’re anything like us, you’ve been counting down the days until pumpkin-spiced everything and spooky sprinkles start popping up around the parks. Candy Corn Cake Pop We’ve been making our way around Disney World, trying all of the spooky snacks at the parks and beyond this year to find out which ones are worth grabbing and which ones we’d send straight to the graveyard. Grab your Mickey ears, a pumpkin-shaped souvenir bucket, and a very large napkin, because we’ve got another Halloween snack review comin’ at ya! We stopped by Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom to try the Candy Corn Cake Pop for $6.29. This is a spiced cheesecake with apple butter swirl and brown butter graham crackers, dipped in white chocolate. Sounds like the perfect fall treat, but is it worth a stop on your next visit? We’re kind of obsessed. This is no ordinary kids’ cake pop. In fact, we’d venture to say it isn’t a cake pop at all. You might even want to keep this one from the kids, because it’s that good. Inside is a spiced apple cheesecake filling that’s creamy, smooth, and melts in your mouth. The apple is bold and cinnamon-forward in every bite. But the real star, my friend, is the brown butter graham cracker crust. The brown butter is nutty, warm, and rich, and it pairs beautifully with the toasty graham. Combined with the ethereally creamy filling and the apple, you’ve got the perfect fall Halloween treat. LOTS of filling The white chocolate shell is perfectly tempered and pleasantly thin, though we still found ourselves flicking off pieces to get to that center. Don’t be put off by the controversial candy corn shape. This one is 100% treat, no trick. Super creamy filling We’ll be on the lookout for additional snacks you need to know about at Disney World and more. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Pumpkin pie from Cake Bake Shop We recently stopped by the Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk to check out their version of the quintessential fall treat — pumpkin pie. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! We stopped by the Cake Bake Shop to try their pumpkin pie — and we’re glad we did! This slice is $15, which is pricey, but it’s not the most expensive treat we’ve had at this spot by any means. In the past, we’ve had pumpkin cake and pumpkin cheesecake from Cake Bake, so we were excited to see if the pumpkin pie was another hit. Pumpkin pie This is as close to a perfect pumpkin pie as we have had in a very long time. The custard is well set without being thick or gelatinous, and it doesn’t ooze, which is a nice touch. The spice level is just right, with no single spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, or clove) overpowering the others. Every bite is balanced and full of autumnal flavors. The whipped cream is in perfect proportion to the custard and covers the entire pie, which we appreciate because we love a little whipped cream with every bite. It’s not overly sweet, has a pleasant texture, and pairs beautifully with the custard. LOTS of whipped cream Our only complaint is the crust, which gets soggy on the bottom. We have yet to find a pumpkin pie that avoids this, and this one is no exception. Still, it’s a winner overall. If you’re a pumpkin pie fan, we highly recommend stopping by for a slice to get your Thanksgiving on. Plenty of filling too In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Is there really anything better than eating and drinking your way around the World Showcase during an EPCOT festival?! No, we didn’t think so either. The 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is running from August 27th through November 21st, 2026, celebrating 30 years of this beloved event, and we’ve made our way to every single booth, trying old and new favorites. 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival eats While we have plenty of best eats of the festival, there are a few that we feel the need to warn you about — and not because they’re not good, either! Instead, we need to give you a heads up about these eats because, well, they’re just too dang hot. Listen, don’t get us wrong — we love the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival and all it has to offer, but we have one specific complaint that we think is worth warning you about. A few booths this year feature eats that are served in little ramekins or tins, which makes them super cute, but the problem lies in the fact that the dishes are served PIPING HOT and the tins are made of metal. 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Now, look, I’m not a scientist. Let’s just say there’s a reason I am an editor and writer instead, but even I know the basics — and the basics say that metal conducts heat. It’s why pans and ovens are made of metal, after all. So, when Disney serves these dishes hot in these little metal tins, they can get pretty dang hot. We experienced this firsthand on the very first day of the festival, when we headed over to grab the Blackberry Buckle from Regal Eagle Smokehouse. We absolutely LOVED this dessert — it’s made with blackberry gelato and streusel — but the tin it was served in nearly burned our fingers because it was so hot. Blackberry Buckle And, over at The Alps booth, the new Tartiflette is another dish served in a tin. It’s made with potatoes gratin, caramelized onions, bacon, thyme, crème fraîche, and brie. Sounds super bubbly and gooey, right?! This one was also served on a plate, but we found that, just like the pot pie, we had to grab the tin to get a good forkful of the dish itself. The Tartiflette Since these dishes were raved about by our team, we do think you should try them — we just think you need to use caution when doing so! We don’t want you to burn your fingers and potentially ruin your day! The Blackberry Buckle We’ll be on the lookout for even more Food & Wine Festival updates you need to know about and beyond. Dollywood – – the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee theme park that celebrates the late, great Dolly Parton – – is one of the most popular theme parks in the U.S. In fact, the park has been named the country’s top theme park numerous times by various publications over the years, including topping Disney numerous times! The Dolly Parton Experience Truthfully, we can see why, as there are several things that Dollywood just flat-out does BETTER than Disney, at least, for now. Height Wristbands Is there anything more depressing than a youngster excitedly approaching a Disney World ride to be measured, only to be turned away if they’re just an inch or so TOO short? Now, imagine that happening multiple times a day? Ugh. Talk about HEARTBREAK. Big Bear Mountain! That’s why we LOVE how Dollywood handles height requirements WAY more. The park gives you the option to have kiddos measured RIGHT after they enter the park, then they won’t have to get measured again for the rest of the day. When you enter the park, you’ll find a centralized measuring station. A Dollywood Team Member will take a child’s height and assign them a color-coded height wristband to wear that day. This wristband’s color will let other team members know IMMEDIATELY if they are tall enough for a certain ride, so you don’t have to worry about any back-to-back tears and screaming fits. NightFlight Expedition All Day In-Room Dining (INCLUDING CINNAMON BREAD) Once upon a time, Disney World had in-room dining resort-wide, but after the COVID closures, in-room dining is now strictly reserved for the deluxe-level Grand Floridian Resort guests ONLY, with breakfast being served between 7:00 AM and noon, and dinner being served from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. On the other hand, Dollywood’s hotels not only have in-room dining, but they have in-room dining pretty much ALL DAY LONG, starting at 7:00 AM and wrapping up at 11:00 PM, with no downtime. The Dollywood Resorts even make in-room breakfast SUPER easy on ya by providing doorknob hanger ordering cards in each room. All you have to do is fill out that card and hang it outside your door the night before to let the team know what you’d like sent up to your room for breakfast, and what time in the morning you’d prefer to have it delivered by. Best of all? You can even have Dollywood’s FAMOUS GRIST MILL CINNAMON BREAD sent up to your room FRESH, which is an unbeatable way to kick off your morning! Just make sure you’ve got that card placed on your door BEFORE MIDNIGHT the night before. What we ordered! EXTRA Hotel Perks Dollywood’s special hotel perks don’t stop with their in-room dining, as the hotels offer additional perks that Disney guests either have never received, or haven’t for ages: Daily Housekeeping: Compare this to Disney World, which used to do this across ALL of their hotels, too, before the COVID closures. However, since the resort reopened, Value and Moderate Tier Resorts provide housekeeping every other day, while the Deluxe resorts still offer daily service. Free TimeSaver Passes: At Dollywood’s hotels, each person under a given hotel reservation receives FREE standard TimeSavers, which’ll give you 5 skip-the-ride-line TimeSaver entries to use across select rides. Compare that to the exactly zero Lightning Lanes Walt Disney World hotel guests receive. Golden Hour: Once again, Disney World USED to offer all of their hotel guests one extra hour of park time on select mornings before these select parks opened up for the general public. However, these days, Disney World has split up their Extra Magic Hours into TWO separate categories: Early Entry continues to be available for ALL of Disney’s hotel guests (value, moderate, and deluxe alike) EVERY SINGLE DAY across EVERY SINGLE PARK, but only offers a 1/2 hour. Meanwhile, Disney’s Extended Evening Hours are for Deluxe Tier Resort guests ONLY, giving them up to two hours of extra time in select parks on select nights. Dollywood’s hotel guests? They’ve got GOLDEN HOUR at their disposal. That gives hotel guests an EXTRA HOUR of park time in the morning, and they can freely use the rides’ Timesaver entrances during that extra hour across all their attractions without using any of their 5 complimentary TimeSavers! Complimentary PREFERRED Parking: While Disney World’s hotel guests do still receive FREE parking at the hotels AND theme parks, Dollywood kicks this perk up a notch. Not only do hotel guests receive free parking at the hotels and theme park, but they receive free PREFERRED parking at the park right near the entrance! Complimentary Hotel Delivery: At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Disney World USED to have complimentary hotel delivery services for their resort guests before the pandemic, but the service has yet to return. On the other hand, Dollywood hotel guests can have their park purchases (over $25) delivered BACK to their resort, free of charge! The bedroom The White Noise Machines Speaking of the Dollywood hotels, each room at the Heartsong Hotel has a white noise device that features 255+ sound combinations, mixed between eight soothing sounds that include whirring fan blades, chirping insects, a crackling bonfire, the pitter-pattering of rain, ocean waves, a trickling stream, Tibetan singing bowls, and chirping birds. Each sound has its own volume control, so you can make them as loud or as soft as you want them to be. This device also serves as an ambient night light — featuring four brightness levels, as well as a soothing breathing-light mode that gently cycles through each brightness, and features a built-in auto timer for 60, 120, or 180 minutes – and will turn off for you once you’re fast asleep. ©Amazon Refill Cups That Work ALL YEAR Disney’s refillable mugs cost about $23 and last for the length of a guest’s stay for up to 14 days, and offer beverages only at the resort’s hotels. Each mug features an RFID barcode, which enables the mug to deactivate when the designated time is complete. Meanwhile, for $25 at Dollywood, you can get a mug that’ll not only give you free soda refills (and discounted $5 ICEE refills) across the theme park AND hotels during your visit, but it’ll continue to give you free refills for the REST OF THE SEASON. Meaning if you decide to come BACK to Dollywood before the end of the year, your free refill cup WILL STILL WORK. Dollywood Refillable Mug Education Over Everything Unlike Disney, Dollywood doesn’t just cover “tuition for its employees pursuing an education.” They give certain employees who want to go far in the culinary industry an opportunity to do so. Back in 2020, Dollywood teamed up with the Tennessee Department of Labor AND Walters State Community College to create a very specific (and paid) apprenticeship opportunity for culinary students. These students are hired on at Dollywood for a three-year, hands-on program that gives them the experience needed to take on future roles in food and/or hospitality service. (PLUS they’ll receive a full benefits package as they pursue their degree, too!) After a student successfully completes the program, they’ll have the college credits needed to help ‘em reach a technical certificate or an associate’s degree in hospitality management/culinary arts. On top of that, if these students have been enjoying their time working in Dollywood, they won’t get the boot right after graduation. In fact, they’ll actually have the option to accept a leadership position in The Dollywood Company, setting them up for success, right from the get-go. The Wildwood Tree all lit up! EXCLUSIVE Dippin’ Dots Flavors: Disney’s not really big on Dippin’ Dots, as the only place to find the “ice cream of the future” inside the Disney World bubble is at the water parks. However, what Disney lacks in Dippin’ Dots, Dollywood makes up for in DROVES. There are SEVERAL Dippin’ Dots kiosks ALL around Dollywood to satiate your inner Dippin’ Dots desires, and along with the standard Dippin’ Dots flavors like the Mint Chocolate and the Rainbow Ice, Dollywood also offers a specialty Big Bear brownie batter EXCLUSIVE to the park. Big Bear Brownie Batter Furthermore, there are special seasonal Dippin’ Dots flavors too during their different festivals. These have included the Strawberry Cheesecake from the I Will Always Love You Festival, and the Summer Celebration flavor made with cherry, blue raspberry, and vanilla Dippin’ Dots in honor of America’s 250th birthday. Dollywood also sells refillable Dippin’ Dots cups that allow guests to refill their cup at a discounted rate. Jukebox Junction THRILL Rides Disney has plenty of thrilling rides. But even Disney World’s biggest coasters still don’t necessarily compete with Dollywood’s from an adrenaline standpoint. Sure, the resort offers the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, Expedition Everest, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and TRON: Lightcycle/Run, but those rides are spread out across the four theme parks. Meanwhile, Dollywood WILL give you that back-to-back adrenaline rush that your older kids and teens might be craving more of, including: Wild Eagle is a suspended coaster that dangles you in the air, featuring a 135-foot drop, four inversions, extreme banking, and maximum speeds of 61 mph. Thunderhead is a wooden coaster ride with a 100-foot drop, 22 accelerating quick turns, extreme banking, and maximum speeds of 55 mph. Tennessee Tornado is a multi-loop steel coaster with a 128-foot drop, three inversions, and speeds up to 70 mph Mystery Mine is a steel coaster featuring an 85-foot drop, a 95-degree drop, two complete inversions, extreme banking, and maximum speeds of 43 mph. Lightning Rod is yet ANOTHER wooden coaster that takes you up a 20-story lift hill, where you’ll face twin summit airtime hills before racing down its 165-foot drop. Dollywood Affordability There’s no way to sugarcoat it: Dollywood is more affordable than Disney World. Now, that’s not to say that Dollywood isn’t PRICEY. It is still a THEME PARK vacation destination, after all, but it’s still cheaper than the domestic Disney properties. Let’s do some price comparing for a minute: For two pick-a-day tickets to Dollywood, prices start at $124.99, while Disney World prices start at $128. While that price difference doesn’t SEEM very drastic YET, the SURGE PRICING is where things change. Even if you decide to get a two-day ticket for Dollywood’s PEAK SEASON TIME, prices only tend to go up by a few dollars – from $124.99 to $129.99. On the other hand, Disney tickets (minus any bonus discounts that you might come across on the Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts page) are gonna spike up WAY more than that, with peak prices getting as high as $194 per day. Welcome to Dollywood! It’s not limited to just park tickets either. Average prices for Dollywood’s resorts tend to cost around the same as Disney’s Moderate Tier Resorts. The Songteller Hotel Then there’s food prices: We watched our friends Emma and Quincy from AllEars actually STRUGGLE to find an in-room dining meal that cost over $30. One of the MOST expensive items they found on that menu was the $49 family meal deal – but FOR that price, you’re getting a Large Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza, 12 Wings or 6 Chicken Tenders, AND Garlic Cheese Bread, which, again, will feed an ENTIRE family without anyone having to leave the room at the end of a long park day once everyone’s already settled in. Butterfly Chicken Sandwich Of course, to be fair, Dollywood doesn’t have as much to offer their guests as the domestic Disney parks do. So with the prices that you’re paying in Disney, you’re receiving more theming, more attractions, and more potential park experiences overall. But if you’re looking for a cheaper theme park alternative for your next family vacation, Dollywood might provide you with a financial silver lining. The Dolly Parton Experience at Dollywood No Gameplan? No Problem. It’s no secret that a trip to Disney World these days requires A LOT of planning. Advance Dining Reservations, Lightning Lanes, etc. To be fair, we love strategizing and finding the hidden tips and tricks to share with you. However, not everyone feels the same way. And that’s fair. It can be daunting to wake up at 6:00 AM ET to secure popular dining reservations, or create a Lightning Lane game plan, or figure out how to get around a theme park property that’s the same size as the city of San Francisco. When it comes to Dollywood, you don’t have to do NEARLY as much planning, and you can still have a great time. Granted, it is still a high-end theme park with lots of great rides, shows, and restaurants, so you’ll still want to do SOME research to make sure you don’t miss out on your top priority experiences. But honestly? Getting Dollywood knocked out in a day or two isn’t too difficult to accomplish. TimeSavers are just a band that you can scan for rides at any time; table-service restaurants are first come, first served; and since Dollywood isn’t NEARLY as big as Disney World… getting around doesn’t have to stress you out. Nothing can ruin your Disney World day faster than the weather, but if you’re prepared, you can still have the time of your life! Most of the time, rainstorms at Disney World don’t last all day; instead, they may only last for a few minutes or an afternoon. And take it from this Native Floridian — there are still ways to make sure you’re having fun, even in the rain. Look at this rain! If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this week, we need to warn you that the weather might not be your best friend. Central Florida is heading into a wet stretch of weather that might impact your plans — here’s what you need to know. According to News 6, showers and storms are returning to Disney World on Monday, with rain chances even higher on Tuesday and Wednesday as a stalled front sets up across the area. Additionally, repeated rounds of heavy rain may lead to flooding concerns. Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom On Monday, rain chances range from 30% to 80%, with the highest chances for rain being from 4 PM to midnight. Stronger storms may produce lightning, 35-45 mph wind gusts, and very heavy rain. Some locations might see 1-3 inches or more of rain per hour. Not only that, but temperatures will climb into the mid-80s to around 90, with heat indices in the mid-90s to near 100 degrees. Rainy day at Animal Kingdom Tuesday and Wednesday will see a cold front stall over Central Florida, with rain chances jumping to 60% to 90% each day, with the most widespread showers during the afternoon and evening. Repeated rounds of heavy rain could lead to flooding of roadways and low-lying areas. Central Florida is under a Marginal Risk for excessive rainfall on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Storms in EPCOT! Rain chances remain above normal Thursday through Saturday, with scattered to widespread showers each day. Luckily, the cold front will bring seasonable to slightly below normal temperatures, so at least it will be a little cooler. Our biggest tip is to not let the rain ruin your day! For the most part, the crowds will really thin out when it rains. So if you stick it out, you will likely have the opportunity to enjoy lower wait times. Rainy day in EPCOT The indoor merchandise areas will likely get very crowded, and wait times might initially spike. But we suggest heading towards an attraction with an indoor queue. Wet socks are the worst and can really ruin a few hours of your day. So just throw another pair in your bag in case you find yourself caught in the rain! We know that rain gear can be a bit bulky and seem cumbersome. But bring it!! It will more than likely rain on your trip, and you don’t want to be caught in the middle of the parks with no rain gear at all. Ponchos in the parks are really expensive, and they can sell out. Tropical Storm Debby at Animal Kingdom We think Magic Kingdom is the best park for a rainy day simply because there are so many indoor attractions and locations. Even if quite a few outdoor rides shut down due to lightning, there are still many things to do and places to eat inside. Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom We’ll be on the lookout for even more weather updates you need to know about for Disney World. If you’ve ever rope-dropped EPCOT, you might have noticed almost everyone heads in one direction — straight to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This is a fan favorite ride, and honestly, we’re totally in on the hype. “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and “September”? Say less. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind It’s definitely a team favorite here, but the pre-show isn’t necessarily everyone’s favorite. You’re packed into a room where a lot of people will push towards the next door to get on the ride faster, and other guests like to yell out during a short gap in the pre-show. Well, a new change has hit the ride, and while guests still might be pushing towards the exit, at least you don’t have to hear someone yell “alcoholics.” Previously in the video with Terry Crews, he is trying to figure out what the names are for people who live in EPCOT, you know, EPCOT-ians, Citizens of EPCOT, that sorta thing. Crews asks someone off camera, “Does anyone know what they call themselves?” When he’s asking this, guests in the room like to yell out some off-brand words like “alcoholics” or “drunks” in reference to people who choose to Drink Around the World. The pre-show While some might have found it amusing, most of us groan after hearing the joke a hundred times and how it doesn’t quite fit the Disney World aesthetic. Disney just changed the pre-show to close the gap, eliminating the chance for guests to yell out their own answers. Disney World is always changing, but this isn’t the only one at EPCOT. Right now, it’s the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and four new booths recently opened, a few weeks after the initial start date. We were pretty obsessed with the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese on Baguette at The Alps, and it was a total hit for us. Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese on a Baguette with Jambon and Apple-Mustard Relish CommuniCore Hall has also turned into Cheers to Cheese with The Wedge booth, which is full of mac and cheeses, a cheese board, and small exhibits around the room to learn about cheese. Honestly, who could ask for more? Cheers to Cheese! We’re always looking for new changes at Disney World, so keep following the Disney Food Blog for more news you need to know before your next vacation. 50 AMAZING THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW WERE IN EPCOT Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! If you’ve scrolled social media lately, you might think every snack at Disney is “life-changing,” but after tasting our way through the parks’ most-hyped treats, we can tell you what’s actually worth it. Biscoff Latte Some of these snacks are worth the time, money, and wait. Others look great on camera and taste like something you could get at home. Here’s our honest take on eight of the most talked-about Disney World snacks right now. 1. “I’m Nemo” Cheesecake Over at the Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you can find the “I’m Nemo” Cheesecake for $6.29. This is a classic cheesecake coated in a shimmering blue ocean glaze with graham cracker sand and a white chocolate Nemo on the front. Overall, this is not the most unique treat flavor-wise, but if you love cheesecake, Nemo, or just want an adorable treat. This one was made for your camera roll. I’m Nemo Cheesecake Fans had been asking for it to come back for years, and now it has. Once you get past the looks, though, it’s just a plain cheesecake. It’s soft, creamy, and easy to eat, but the glaze is mostly there for decoration and doesn’t add much flavor. Verdict: Only for the photo. If you’re staying at Art of Animation and love Nemo, go ahead. Don’t make a special trip for it. REVIEW: After Years Of Begging This Popular Treat Has Returned! Hi Nemo! 2. Biscoff Latte Over at Café Rix at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for $10. This latte took over social media earlier this year. It has three shots of espresso, cookie butter syrup, and your choice of milk, poured into a cup lined with Biscoff spread. It’s topped with cold foam, caramel drizzle, and Biscoff cookie crumbles. It only comes iced, and only in a 24-ounce size. Biscoff Latte If you love cookie butter, this drink is basically dessert in a cup. If you actually want to taste your coffee, you’re out of luck. The sweetness drowns out the espresso almost completely, and it’s a lot of drink for $10. Even our team is split on this one. Verdict: It depends. Worth it for cookie butter fans with a serious sweet tooth, and a skip for coffee purists. Café Rix closes in the early afternoon, so plan to go in the morning. REVIEW: Why People Keep Paying $10 for a Cookie Butter Latte in Disney World Biscoff Latte 3. Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Fried Hawaiian Rolls This treat is found at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s Boardwalk for $11. This is Blue Ribbon’s fall version of its popular fried King’s Hawaiian rolls. You get three rolls on a skewer, fried golden and coated in pumpkin spice sugar, then topped with cream cheese frosting and pumpkin drizzle. It’s also available at the Downtown Disney location at Disneyland. Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Fried Hawaiian rolls This was very good! The pumpkin flavor was excellent but a little too subtle. The cinnamon sugar added a nice crunch, and the fried rolls held their crunchy, fried exterior surprisingly well. This came with three rolls, which were all dense and very sweet, so it could definitely be shared with multiple people. Verdict: Worth it if you share. This is a fun fall treat, but split it with at least one other person. And if you’ve never tried the original cinnamon sugar version, you might like that one even more. REVIEW: Pumpkin Spice Fried Rolls? Sign Us Up! Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Fried Hawaiian rolls 4. Werther’s Original Caramel Pumpkin Swiss Roll At Karamell-Küche in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion, you can find this viral dessert for $6.49. This one doesn’t get as much attention online as some of the other items on this list, but it deserves more. It’s pumpkin cake rolled up with salted caramel buttercream and Werther’s Original caramel. Let’s eat some caramel! The cake is moist and spiced without tasting like a candle, and it holds up well in the Florida heat. The caramel is soft and gooey, and the buttercream is light enough that the whole thing doesn’t feel too sweet. It also counts as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. Verdict: Worth it. This is one of the best-value fall treats on property right now. REVIEW: Disney, Please Keep the Caramel Coming in the Germany Pavilion Because We’re Eating It UP The perfect roll 5. Chocolate-Pistachio Cookie If you’ve heard of any snacks from this year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, then you have likely heard of this cookie found at Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina. For $4.29, this is Disney’s version of the Dubai chocolate trend, and it’s become the sweet treat of this year’s festival. It’s a soft, very chocolatey cookie filled with creamy pistachio. Chocolate-Pistachio Cookie It lives up to the hype, but plan ahead: it’s messy. Grab a stack of napkins and find a place to sit down before you take a bite. This center had a crunchy pistachio cream, and it was salty and nutty, giving an amazing contrast against the sweet chocolate cookie. The cookie itself was soft, and the pistachio pieces added a nice crunch while the strong pistachio flavor came from the filling. Verdict: Worth the hype. If you like pistachio at all, put this at the top of your Food & Wine list. Read Our Full Review Here! Chocolate-Pistachio Cookie 6. Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings Keeping with the Food & Wine snacks, over at Gyozas of the Galaxy, these dumplings have some of the longest lines at the festival, and these new dumplings are the reason. They’re chicken dumplings topped with basil pesto, cheesy fonduta, tomato confit, and a little balsamic. Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings The combination sounds unusual, but it works. The dumplings are covered in it, giving the dumplings a rich, cheesy flavor. If you don’t like tomatoes, don’t fear this dish, because we couldn’t taste them. It just adds to the firm texture of the dumplings and gives it a little sweetness. Verdict: Worth the hype. Try to get to this booth early in the day, before the line gets long. REVIEW: Yes, Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings Are a Thing, and Yes, You Should Absolutely Try Them Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings 7. Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich This is probably the most viral Disney snack of 2026. This snack is at Terra Treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For $8.29, it’s vanilla ice cream layered between a chocolate brownie and a thick layer of edible cookie dough, topped with chocolate chips. The lines got so long that Disney added a second place to buy it in the park. Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich We’re happy to report that this one lives up to the hype. The cookie dough layer is the star, and the ice cream balances out all that sweetness. A fall version with fall sprinkles and sea salt flakes just arrived. Verdict: Worth the hype, and the wait. Go right when Terra Treats opens to skip the worst of the line. This Disney World Snack Is SO Popular It Should Have Its Own Lightning Lane Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich 8. Edible Waffle Cup Affogato Vivoli Il Gelato’s new Flamingo Crossings location, about 10 minutes from Disney Springs, serves espresso drinks and affogatos in a thick cup made of waffle cone. When you’re done with your drink, you eat the cup. The Edible Waffle Cone Coffee Cup! This is the first time a waffle cone coffee cup has been made — you probably won’t find it anywhere else other than Vivoli Il Gelato! The cup is pretty thick, so you don’t have to worry about it breaking with gelato in it. Why have your gelato in a paper cup when you can have it in a waffle cup and eat it afterwards — it’s the best of both worlds! However, since it’s so thick, just be prepared for your teeth and use those molars. Verdict: Worth it if you have a car. It’s a fun novelty, and the Flamingo Crossings location is much less crowded. If you can’t get there, the original affogato at Disney Springs is still excellent. REVIEW: Trust Us, You’re Gonna Want To LEAVE the Disney Parks for These Exclusive Treats Pistachio Affogato Viral doesn’t always mean delicious, and with Disney snack prices where they are, every purchase should be worth it. That’s why we eat, we wait in the lines, and we give you our honest take. Mickey and Minnie are packing their bags… again! Disney has announced that Vacation Fun, the Mickey & Minnie animated short in the Mickey Shorts Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, will temporarily close at the end of October. Vacation Fun And if this sounds like déjà vu, you’re totally not imagining it. This attraction has given us whiplash with its closures and reopenings so far this year, and we’re starting to wonder what exactly Disney is thinking with this back-and-forth. Vacation Fun only reopened on September 28th, which means it lasted about a month before getting the “see you later” treatment. Here’s everything we know. Vacation Fun at Hollywood Studios is closing again on October 28th, after only being open for a month following a prior closure. The attraction previously closed on August 9th so Disney could use the Mickey Shorts Theater for Annual Passholder Magnet distribution. Before that, the attraction was closed from April 29th to May 5th for a Star Wars May the 4th Merchandise Event located in the theater. Vacation Fun For those planning a Hollywood Studios visit who want to see the show, your last day to do so will be October 27th. As of now, Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date or what this closure might be for, but the timing would suggest that it might have something to do with Jollywood Nights, which starts on November 7th. Vacation Fun Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed holiday event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that takes place on select nights from November 7th, 2026 to January 5th, 2027 (extending into the New Year for the first time!). Tickets are now on sale. Jollywood Nights Throughout the park, guests are able to experience unique music and entertainment inspired by different genres. On Commissary Lane, for example, guests can explore the lively Holiday Fiesta en la Calle, while Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy host a live holiday special at Theater of the Stars with some other Disney special guests (like Princess Tiana and Belle). Disney Jollywood Nights And Jack Skellington himself hosts a special sing-along themed to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas at Hyperion Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a DJ spins holiday tunes on Hollywood Boulevard. And several times throughout the event, Hollywood Boulevard hosts a skating spectacular, Glisten, featuring international champion skaters set to holiday music! Jollywood Nights We’ll be on the lookout for additional Hollywood Studios updates and more. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and beyond! You may or may not be a Disney Adult if a tiny Disney World app change makes you beam from ear to ear and text your entire family. We also may or may not have done that… ©Disney We’re pretty obsessed with the Disney World app, since that’s your go-to spot for dining reservations, Lightning Lanes, hotel bookings, and anything else you might need during your trip. We also can’t tell you how often we check the ride wait times on it every day (…it’s a lot). Well, we admire this new change every day. You know how you can pick your profile character for your account? You can pick your favorite characters (and mine is Kermit the Frog, in case anyone was wondering), but Disney just added new characters to choose from. @Disney Check it out! You can now choose characters like Orange Bird, Oswald, and Launchpad McQuack. @Disney If you’re ready to change your character, tap the three lines at the bottom of the app (also called the hamburger menu, if you’re in the mood). From there, scroll down to “Profile” under Account, then click “Change Character.” ©Disney Beyond being fun, it’s also an easy way to quickly identify each family member in the app. Booking a Lightning Lane for one person and not the other? Easy when you can spot Cinderella versus Heihei. Need to add everyone to the dining reservation? You know you need to add Mickey, Oswald, Minnie, and Scar. Of course, the names are listed too, but this makes it easy to glance at when you’re in the middle of walking from Tomorrowland to Adventureland. ©Disney Recently, Disney made another change to the Disney World app that fans aren’t really getting behind, like these new characters. Disney announced it will integrate an artificial intelligence (AI) planning system into the app to help you book your trip based on personal preferences. It will compare prices and experiences, but fans don’t seem to love the upcoming changes. Some fans were concerned about removing the human travel agent from the process or worried about Disney using AI in general. ©Disney While those changes are still rolling out across systems, we’re going to be oogling over the new characters and organizing our whole family’s profiles. Keep following Disney Food Blog for more news, plus tips and tricks to make the most of your upcoming trip. “LITERALLY NO ONE WANTS THIS!!” FANS SPEAK OUT ABOUT NEW AI CHANGE TO DISNEY WORLD APP Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Remember when Disney+ was $6.99 a month and subscribing felt like an easy little add-on to your entertainment budget? That era has left the building. ©Disney Disney has rolled out another round of streaming price increases in the United States, and the biggest change is hitting Disney+ Premium subscribers. The ad-free plan has jumped from $18.99 to $21.49 per month, an increase of roughly 13%. And while $2.50 might not sound enormous on its own, the bigger picture is a lot harder to shrug off. Disney+ now costs more than three times what it did when the service debuted in 2019, and plenty of subscribers are starting to wonder just how much higher this thing can climb. Disney+ Is More Than Three Times Its Launch Price To understand why people are grumbling, you really have to look backward. Disney+ launched at $6.99 per month in November 2019. The first increase arrived in March 2021, when the monthly price moved to $7.99. Disney confirmed that increase itself, along with an annual jump from $69.99 to $79.99. Disney+ Then things accelerated. In December 2022, Disney introduced its ad-supported tier at $7.99 per month and moved the existing ad-free service, newly called Disney+ Premium, up to $10.99 per month. In October 2023, Premium increased again to $13.99. October 2024 brought another increase to $15.99. Then, in October 2025, Disney+ Premium jumped another $3 to $18.99 per month. And now we’re here. Disney+ Premium costs $21.49 per month. Here’s the full progression: Date Disney+ Ad-Free Monthly Price November 2019 $6.99 March 2021 $7.99 December 2022 $10.99 October 2023 $13.99 October 2024 $15.99 October 2025 $18.99 September 2026 $21.49 That works out to an increase of about 207% from Disney+’s original monthly price. For a little perspective, general inflation hasn’t come close to keeping pace. The latest data shows that price inflation rose about 30% between November 2019 and August 2026. If Disney+ had simply kept pace with inflation, that original $6.99 subscription would cost roughly $9.10 today, not $21.49. So while just about everything has gotten more expensive since Disney+ debuted, this particular price increase is playing in an entirely different league. Disney+ Hulu bundle Put another way, the service now costs a little more than three times what it did at launch. That $6.99 introductory era is not merely gone; it’s been placed in the Disney Vault. Here’s What Disney+ Costs Now Disney’s current U.S. pricing breaks down like this: Disney+ with ads: $12.49 per month, up from $11.99. Disney+ Premium without ads: $21.49 per month, up from $18.99. Disney+ Premium annual plan: $214.99 per year, up from $189.99. ©Disney That 50-cent increase for the ad-supported tier works out to a much smaller percentage hike of about 4%. Premium subscribers are taking the much bigger hit. Their monthly plan increased by $2.50, or roughly 13%. And if you pay monthly for Disney+ Premium all year, you’re now looking at $257.88 for 12 months. Back in 2019, 12 months at the original $6.99 monthly rate would have cost $83.88. We have officially traveled quite a distance from “Eh, it’s seven bucks, why not?” Your Bill Might Not Change Yet The new pricing began September 23, 2026, for new U.S. subscriptions. If you were already subscribed before September 23, Disney says the price change will appear during your billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026. Pricing through third-party billing providers may also vary. ©Disney So if you checked your bank account and thought, “Mine hasn’t changed,” enjoy this fleeting moment of peace. Your billing date may simply not have arrived yet. Understanding the Bundles This is where Disney’s pricing strategy gets particularly noticeable. A standalone Disney+ Premium subscription now costs $21.49 per month. The Disney+ and Hulu Premium bundle, which gives you both services without traditional ad breaks, costs $21.99 per month. For 50 cents more per month, you can add Hulu. That feels less like a subtle suggestion and more like Disney standing behind you and gently rotating your shoulders toward the bundle button. ©Disney The same thing is happening on the ad-supported side. Disney+ with ads costs $12.49 per month, while the Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads remains $12.99. In other words, Disney has kept some of its bundles relatively attractive while letting the standalone plans, especially Premium, creep higher. If you already use Hulu, the math is pretty easy. If you don’t, it may still be worth checking your subscription before another billing cycle sneaks by. Disney Says It’s Investing in the Service Disney has pointed to continued investment in Disney+, including technology improvements, new features, personalization, and its broader effort to bring more of its streaming ecosystem together into one experience. The company also emphasized that its popular Disney+/Hulu bundle with ads did not increase in this latest round, while the standalone ad-supported Disney+ price rose by a comparatively modest 4%. ©Disney And Disney+ has certainly changed since 2019. Hulu programming has become increasingly integrated into Disney+, ESPN content now has a larger presence, and Disney continues reshaping the app into something much broader than the original library of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars titles. The question for subscribers is whether those additions feel like an extra $14.50 per month compared with the launch price. Fans Are Getting Tired of the Increases Disney+ price increases have become an annual fall tradition. The latest announcement sparked plenty of frustration online. Of course, subscribers who get vocal with their opinions on social media don’t automatically mean Disney is about to experience a giant subscriber collapse. We don’t have evidence of that. But the irritation is understandable. ©Disney Streaming originally sold itself on flexibility and relatively low prices. The whole appeal of the services was to stop spending hundreds of dollars on cable premium services for channels you might not even watch. The concept of “cutting the cable” was to save money and streamline your on-screen experience. Now consumers are juggling numerous services, multiple advertising tiers, bundles, annual plans, and regular price increases that are beginning to look suspiciously like the cable bills everyone was trying to escape. That $6.99 Price Feels VERY Far Away Disney+ in 2026 isn’t the Disney+ that launched in 2019. There is more content inside the platform, Hulu and ESPN have become increasingly connected to it, and Disney is clearly betting that bundles will become the center of its streaming business. But the price has changed just as dramatically. Going from $6.99 to $21.49 per month in less than seven years is hard to ignore, especially when subscribers have now watched the price increase year after year. ©Disney And this latest increase creates a particularly weird choice. Pay $21.49 for Disney+ Premium alone, or pay another 50 cents and get Hulu too. At that point, Disney may not need a pop-up telling you which button it wants you to press. As always, we’ll keep watching Disney’s streaming prices, bundles, and subscription changes, because if the last several years have taught us anything, it’s that today’s Disney+ price probably shouldn’t be written in permanent marker. We know we say it all the time, but Disney World during the holidays is truly a different type of magic. Yes, all of your favorite rides are still running, and Mickey Mouse is still waving at you in the parade, but everything is covered with an extra layer of twinkling lights, and there may or may not be Santa hats involved. Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Parade Everyone who visits Disney World during the holiday season, which runs from November 13th to January 6th this year, gets to experience the Christmas trees and Mickey wreaths, but if you want another layer of magic, you might want to check out the exclusive after-hours events. These events take the holidays to the next level, and they start in about a month, bringing major changes to the parks. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights in Magic Kingdom from November 8th to December 22nd, and Jollywood Nights run on select nights from November 7th to January 5th in Hollywood Studios. Both are a total blast, but you might find yourself leaning toward one event over the other, depending on your family. November 7th is our kick-off, and we couldn’t be more excited. Once Upon a Christmastime Parade If you like classic Disney holidays, you’ll probably want to check out Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Since it takes place in Magic Kingdom, it feels even more magical with the castle in front of you, and the special entertainment is not to be missed. Fireworks for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party The parades and fireworks shows are some of the best Disney World has, and there are also tons of meet-and-greets available, along with exclusive food you can only get during the party (and this usually includes a popcorn bucket, too!). While both events are family-friendly, more families head to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The event has been around for a long time and is a holiday tradition for many families who come every year. Gingerbread Milk Shake Magic Kingdom closes to the public at 6 PM, and guests with holiday party tickets can enter starting at 4 PM. There are typically pretty short waits for rides, except for those with holiday overlays like the Jungle Cruise, but lines can be massive for parade spots, fireworks viewings, and meet-and-greets. Since there’s so much to do, it can often feel like a hustle to get it all done, and it can get chaotic when you add in the large number of guests also trying to do everything. Crowds at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Now what about Jollywood Nights? This event is geared more towards adults, but the whole family can still enjoy a trip to Hollywood Studios. You know how Hollywood Studios tends to be geared towards teens and adults? It’s the same idea, but with more Christmas thrown in. Twilight Soiree There is also exclusive entertainment, including a show with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy that our team freaks out about every year, and a Nightmare Before Christmas show where you get to see the coveted Jack Skellington puppet up close and personal (he’s MASSIVE, by the way). We tend to find that Jollywood Nights is a bit calmer than Very Merry, and you might have time for the shows plus a ride or two. Kermit and Miss Piggy! Don’t forget about the snacks! There are also tons of exclusive food options plus a whole sit-down dining experience at the Hollywood Brown Derby, where the menu changes to feature holiday classics. Full Spread at Hollywood Brown Derby during Jollywood Nights 2024 There are also tons of special meet-and-greets for Jollywood Nights. If you’re debating between the parties, it might be best to figure out which characters your family likes best and base it on that. We tend to base it off of snacks, but that’s just us. Phineas and Ferb at Jollywood Nights The events start on November 7th and 8th and only run on select nights. We see tickets sell out all the time, typically with Very Merry selling out first, so if you have your eyes on certain dates, you’ll want to grab tickets sooner rather than later. We’re still clinging to the last bit of fall, but our heads are already thinking about Christmas! Keep following Disney Food Blog for more news, plus tips and tricks on how to make the most of the parties and your trip to Disney World. An absolutely quintessential Tomorrowland attraction in Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is an original ride conceived by Walt Disney himself. It made its debut at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair, and later opened in Disneyland in 1967 (where it has since closed). It opened at Magic Kingdom in 1975, where it has remained a classic and iconic attraction nearly synonymous with Magic Kingdom itself. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress For many parkgoers, a visit to Magic Kingdom isn’t complete without a spin on the ol’ Carousel of Progress, which takes riders through different decades and (as the name implies) the progress made in each. Earlier this year, Disney announced that the Carousel of Progress would undergo a complete transformation, updating the ride to reflect more recent history and advances. Carousel of Progress closed on July 6th, 2026, for the updates, which will debut in late Spring 2027, and Disney just shared details about one of the new (well, sort of) voice actors! A familiar voice is returning to Carousel of Progress! Debi Derryberry originally voiced Patricia, the daughter in the ride’s focus family, but she’s taking on a new role in the rethemed version. via @waltdisneyimagineering on Instagram That’s right, Debi Derryberry is back, and she’ll be taking on a new role as Grandmother when Carousel of Progress reopens in 2027. Disney shared some behind-the-scenes footage of Derryberry in the studio recording her lines. We can’t wait to hear them! via @waltdisneyimagineering on Instagram So, what else is coming with these changes? Quite a bit! All four decade scenes will be changed, and a new opening scene with Disney World’s first Walt Disney animatronic will be added. And don’t worry, the iconic song, “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow,” will be sticking around! Walt Disney animatronic at Disneyland Act 1 will be about the 1960s and will open with the historic moon landing. The family will be gathered around the television to witness one of humanity’s greatest achievements. Act 2 will take us to the 1980s, where everything is bigger and better. It will be Halloween Night of 1985, and Sarah will be taking center stage, talking about her new appliances and gadgets. Don’t worry, Uncle Orville will still be covered regarding the lack of privacy. Carousel of Progress Concept Art ©Disney Moving on, Act 3 will be the New Millennium with New Year’s Eve 1999. Not everyone might make it to midnight, but the whole family is here to celebrate. The final fourth act will push towards the possible future where a helpful robot might assist with everyday tasks, to even space travel, since a beautiful tomorrow is just a dream away. Sneak Peek at Carousel of Progress at D23 2026 We’ll be on the lookout for even more Carousel of Progress updates you need to know about. New food JUST arrived at Magic Kingdom in Disney World! The Diamond Horseshoe has officially transformed into a cowboy-themed lounge for a limited time this fall. The Diamond Horseshoe Pop Up Lounge The Diamond Horseshoe Lounge just opened with a brand-new menu, and we’re trying EVERYTHING so you can find out if this spot is still worth a visit on your next trip to Liberty Square! Atmosphere This space has been transformed to feel like a fall wonderland! The outside of the building still has the same sign for The Diamond Horseshoe, except now there is a banner underneath that reads, “Cowpokes & City Folks Welcome,” and there are fall leaves strewn around the sign. Enterance When you enter, you are immediately met with warm fall aesthetics and so many leaves, pumpkins, and fall decor filling the whole space. It still feels like the classic Diamond Horseshoe but just with some extra fun decor that really puts you in the cozy fall spirit. We love all the fall decor! On the stage, you can see the self-playing piano with signs on either side. The Stage The signs read, “The World Famous Self-Playing Piano.” Piano But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The Diamond Horseshoe serves a Wild West-inspired menu of small bites, featuring chipotle chicken tostadas, burnt end queso, glazed sticky ribs, and more. Menu The drinks menu is wide, with a variety of alcoholic cocktails, including margaritas, rum punches, and more. Specialty Cocktail Menu There is also a selection of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. More drinks And now, onto the main event — the food! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Cactus Rose Margarita for $17. This is made with Lalo Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime, and agave. Cactus Rose Margarita This was an extremely light and smooth margarita. The agave was sweet and helped to lighten the drink up nicely. The lime did not come through much, and the drink probably would have benefited from more of that lime flavor. Cactus Rose Margarita This one is also extremely sweet, so if you love a nice and sweet drink, this is for you! But if you don’t want anything super sweet or would prefer something with a stronger alcohol taste, we would suggest trying something else instead. Cactus Rose Margarita We also tried the Caramel Root Beer with Sweet Cream for $6.99. This is root beer flavored with caramel and topped with sweet cream. Caramel Root Beer This was a fun and extremely unique sweet treat. It was very reminiscent of an iced caramel latte made with root beer instead of coffee. The sweet cream was not our favorite and was a little overpowering. But this was extremely good, and kids will probably love it! Caramel Root Beer Eats First up, we grabbed the Charcuterie for $22. This is made with cured beef, candied bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar, and pickles. Charcuterie We are so happy to have a great Charcuterie board available in Magic Kingdom! The smoked cheddar cheese slices were surprisingly sweet, and the pickles tasted fresh and were slightly sweet with a kick of spice. The bread had the consistency of a tortilla, where you tear it into little pieces instead of a traditional charcuterie board that has crackers. Charcuterie bread The bacon was crunchy for the most part, with some chewy parts, and was very well seasoned with salt and pepper. The green chile cheese was a highlight on the board and was very creamy and balanced the spiciness of the pickles well. The cured beef was very tender and was sitting in a nicely sweet syrup. Overall, we really enjoyed this a lot. Bacon Then, we tried the Glazed Sticky Ribs for $16.99. These are ribs glazed in root beer, served with cowboy beans and jalapeño crisps. Glazed Sticky Ribs The sauce was sweet and sticky; it also crystallized a little on the outside, really enhancing the crispiness of the ribs. The root beer flavor of the ribs did not come through very strongly, but they were still very tasty. Glazed Sticky Ribs The ribs were tender on the inside, and the cowboy beans had a nice kick of spice and were well cooked and seasoned. The jalapeño crisps on top added a great crunch, although they did get slightly soggy from the sauce. These were really tasty and unique ribs! Glazed Sticky Ribs We also got the Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends for $15. This comes with warm tortilla chips for dipping. Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends This queso was very creamy, thick, and so savory. It comes with a lot of tortilla chips, and the burnt ends were tender and well seasoned. We did notice that the dish was a little shallow, so there wasn’t a ton of queso. We would have loved to have a little more since it was so tasty! Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends After that, we snacked on the Sweet Golden Corn Fritters for $12. These are topped with cilantro ranch dressing and red chili honey. Sweet Golden Corn Fritters These had an amazing crispy exterior while being very fluffy inside. These were not as sweet as we expected, but they still almost tasted like a dessert. The red chili in the honey did not come through much, and it was not as spicy as we anticipated. If you’re looking for a sweeter, more dessert-like option, this would be amazing for you to try. Sweet Golden Corn Fritters Then we grabbed the Chipotle Chicken Tostada for $14, a tostada topped with queso fresco, lime crema, and pickled cactus salsa. Chipotle Chicken Tostada We really enjoyed this one! The lettuce was very fresh, and the pickled cactus and the pulled chicken were both excellent. The tostada maintained its crunch and held up all the toppings nicely. This was one of our favorite items we tried, and we would definitely get these again. Chipotle Chicken Tostada Last but not least, we tried the Mini Hot Dog Platter for $12. These are mini hot dogs wrapped in a pastry and served with tortilla chips and a side of queso. Mini Hot Dog Platter The outside of the crust was flaky, and the hot dog itself was very tasty. But they were very small and only came with four. You do get a side of queso and chips, but for $12, this was a pretty small portion and nothing super unique. If you are really craving mini hot dogs, these were a good and fun option, and kids will probably really enjoy these! There are just other items on the menu we would recommend trying more. Mini Hot Dog Platter Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You want to try a brand-new Disney World menu. While The Diamond Horseshoe is not new, this lounge experience is opening with an all-new menu. So if you visit Disney World a lot or are just interested in trying something brand-new to the park, then this is a really great spot to visit. You are looking for a nice break from the heat with a great fall atmosphere. This space is an amazing place to sit down, grab some AC, and relax on your Magic Kingdom day. Plus, all of the fall decor really made this an excellent spot to visit if you want to soak up all those fall vibes and be immersed in the season. We also wonder if the fall decor will maybe swap to Christmas with the rest of the park in early November, which is something we will be keeping an eye out for. You want some really fun and unique drinks. We were impressed by both the cocktail and non-alcoholic option we tried; both were really tasty and unique. And as we were in the space, all of the drinks we saw other tables ordering looked delicious. We love that Magic Kingdom now has a second spot, other than The Beak and Barrel, to relax and grab a fun drink in the park. You love trying lots of shareable plates and appetizers. If you love bar bites, trying lots of appetizers, and splitting with your group, then this is the spot for you! We really enjoyed the food we tried today, and if you love this style of dining experience, we really think you will enjoy visiting the lounge. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You are looking for super unique food. We really enjoyed everything that we tried at the Lounge; it was all well made and really delicious. With that being said, there wasn’t anything extremely unique on the menu, and most of it felt like traditional barbecue-inspired bar appetizers. There is nothing wrong with that, but if you are looking for something a little more upscale or very unique, you won’t find that here. You want to have a full meal. This is a lounge experience complete with drinks and shareable appetizers, and while it’s possible to order several menu items and split with your party for one of your meals in the park, it is not a traditional sit-down meal. So, if you are looking for a spot to sit down and order full entrees, you should check out one of Magic Kingdom’s sit-down restaurants instead. You are not visiting in the next few months. This lounge is a limited-time experience, and Disney has not yet shared how long it will be around. So if you are planning a trip several months away or into next year, we wouldn’t count on visiting this spot, since we do not know how long it will be around. Overall We love seeing Disney transforming and trying new things with spaces they already have. We think this lounge is a great way to breathe new life into an underutilized space and bring an entirely new menu of food and drinks to one of the Disney World parks known for having the most underwhelming food. We enjoyed everything we ate today and were really impressed by the drinks we tried, as well as the Charcuterie and the Chipotle Chicken Tostada. If you are looking for a nice break on your Magic Kingdom day, The Diamond Horseshoe Lounge is definitely worth a visit. The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up Lounge In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Christmas at Disney World comes with a very important logistical question: Where, exactly, should you meet Santa? Because the answer is not quite as simple as you might think. Some Santa meets require a theme park ticket. One requires a separately ticketed Christmas party. A couple involves meals that can turn your Santa photo into a surprisingly serious line item on the vacation budget. And then there are a few places where meeting Santa doesn’t technically cost anything, although you may pay for it in time and patience instead. Santa! So, we’re ranking Disney World’s 2026 Santa experiences from the ones we’d have the hardest time recommending specifically for Santa to the ones we’d choose first. This is, of course, subjective. If you’re already attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or staying near one of these locations, that changes the math considerably. We’re weighing cost, convenience, atmosphere, wait-time potential, and how much you actually get out of the experience. #9 Dinner with Santa at The Cake Bake Shop Let’s start with the Santa meet-and-greet most likely to make your wallet quietly weep the tears of a burst budget. The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk is hosting Dinner with Santa Claus on November 24th and December 1st, 8th, and 15th in 2026. This is a full event, not just dinner with a quick Santa photo. Adults receive up to three beverages, an entrée, dessert, a professional family photo with Santa through Disney PhotoPass, and a take-home gift. Kids get their own meal, dessert, beverages, photo, and gift. ©Cake Bake Shop The problem is the price. Dinner costs $200 per adult and $150 per child age 12 and younger, before tax and gratuity. The restaurant also adds a 24% gratuity. A family with two adults and two kids is already at $700 before either of those extras get calculated into the final tab. Almost a thousand dollars for a family of four to meet Santa? Even the gloriously frosted cakes at Cake Bake can’t make that total easier to swallow. Garden View Room decor If you want an upscale holiday dinner and Santa happens to be part of the package, this could absolutely be a memorable splurge. If the primary objective is simply “child needs to tell Santa about the LEGO set,” there are much cheaper ways to accomplish the mission. #8 Santa’s Christmas Carnival During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Santa’s Christmas Carnival at Storybook Circus is simply whimsical. Storybook Circus becomes a Christmas destination during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, complete with Santa, crafts, and other holiday fun. It feels more substantial than walking into a room, snapping a photo, and leaving. The catch is admission. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets cost between $189 and $229 per person in 2026, with children ages 3 through 9 receiving a $10 discount. Santa at Storybook Circus Now, we would NEVER suggest buying a party ticket solely to meet Santa. You’re also paying for five hours of party-exclusive entertainment, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, fireworks, character appearances, holiday attraction overlays, cookies, drinks, and more. If you’re already going to the party, absolutely stop by Santa’s Christmas Carnival. It’s SANTA! But if we’re comparing Santa meets on accessibility and cost, requiring a roughly $200 Christmas party ticket sends this one toward the bottom of our list. #7 Breakfast with Santa at Maria & Enzo’s Maria & Enzo’s Breakfast with Santa is still a splurge, but the numbers are significantly friendlier than our first two entries. The Disney Springs restaurant is offering its Breakfast with Santa on December 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, and 24th, with seatings around 9:30 AM through 10 AM. The experience includes a family-style breakfast, a visit with Santa and his elves, a family photo, takeaway treats, holiday carolers, and a Prosecco mimosa for adults 21 and older. Maria & Enzo’s Breakfast with Santa menu Pricing varies by seating category. After the early-booking period, Gold seating costs $79 per adult and $55 per child, while Platinum costs $89 per adult and $55 per child. Tax and an 18% gratuity are added. That’s not a cheap breakfast. Still, you’re getting a roughly 90-minute holiday experience rather than paying specifically for five minutes with Santa, which makes this easier for us to justify. The tree at Breakfast with Santa We’d especially consider it if Breakfast with Santa itself is supposed to be one of the big events of your trip. If you’re just trying to check Santa off the holiday list, keep reading. #6 Santa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom This one gets a giant 2026 asterisk. Disney has confirmed that Santa will visit all four theme parks this holiday season, including Animal Kingdom. What Disney hasn’t announced yet is exactly where he’ll be stationed in Animal Kingdom. See you soon, Santa! The old Santa experience at Restaurantosaurus is gone along with DinoLand U.S.A. And it was so fun because last year’s location had personality. Santa was essentially attending a Dino Institute holiday party, complete with wonderfully weird dinosaur Christmas decorations. Whatever replaces that meet could be great, but we haven’t seen enough yet to rank it higher. Santa at Restaurantosaurus You’ll also need valid Animal Kingdom admission, so we wouldn’t recommend making a special trip into the park solely for Santa. If Animal Kingdom is already on your itinerary, though, keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for 2026 greeting times and the new location. This ranking could move once we actually see Santa’s new digs. #5 Daytime Santa at Magic Kingdom Magic Kingdom gets bonus points for atmosphere. Santa meets at Storybook Circus, which becomes Santa’s Christmas Carnival during the holiday season. You get a proper themed setting rather than Santa parked beside a Christmas tree and a velvet rope somewhere. And unlike the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party version, Santa can also meet daytime guests during the holiday season. SANTA! That’s the version we’d target if Santa is important to your family and you’re already planning a Magic Kingdom day. The downside is obvious: Magic Kingdom requires theme park admission, and character lines here can eat into valuable ride time fast. Meet Santa at Magic Kingdom Check the My Disney Experience app for greeting times before trekking across the park. If Santa is a priority, we’d rather get this done earlier in the day than discover late in the afternoon that the entire population of Central Florida apparently had the same idea. #4 Santa at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Hollywood Studios has historically been a lower-key spot to meet Santa, which is a big point in its favor. Disney has confirmed Santa will return to Hollywood Studios in 2026, although the final location and schedule haven’t yet been posted. In 2025, he met guests inside Walt Disney Presents, typically from around 10 AM until later in the day through Christmas Eve. Hi, Santa! We liked that setup because Walt Disney Presents is indoors, tucked away, and nowhere near as chaotic as some of Disney World’s more obvious holiday gathering spots. Of course, you’ll need Hollywood Studios admission, and we’re waiting for Disney to confirm whether Santa returns to Walt Disney Presents or lands somewhere new in 2026. Walt Disney Presents Assuming the setup remains similar, this could be one of the easier park Santas to work into your day. Check My Disney Experience before heading over, especially since Disney can adjust character locations and appearance times. #3 Santa at EPCOT EPCOT isn’t free, but once you’re inside, this is probably our favorite traditional Santa experience in a Disney theme park. During the 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Santa Claus will meet guests inside CommuniCore Hall daily through December 24th. Specific greeting times will be available in My Disney Experience. It’s Santa! CommuniCore Hall gives you an indoor location, and there’s enough holiday activity happening around EPCOT that meeting Santa doesn’t feel like the only reason you’re there. In fact, EPCOT is practically collecting Santas. You can also see Père Noël sharing a French Christmas story, Barn Santa in Norway, Father Christmas in the United Kingdom Pavilion, and Goofy dressed as Santa over at The Odyssey. Santa Goofy So if you’re looking for one park that can turn “meet Santa” into an entire afternoon of holiday entertainment, EPCOT makes a strong case. The only thing holding it out of our top two is that pesky theme park ticket. #2 Santa at Disney Springs Here’s the obvious choice for families who don’t want to burn a theme park ticket just to deliver a Christmas list. Santa returns to Disney Springs through December 24th, typically greeting guests in the Marketplace area near Disney Pin Traders. There’s no theme park admission required, which is a huge advantage. Visit Santa in the Disney Springs Marketplace But free does not always mean effortless. Disney Springs is one of the most popular Santa stops at Disney World, particularly as Christmas gets closer. In 2025, Disney used a virtual queue instead of a traditional standby line. Disney hasn’t yet confirmed whether the exact same system will return in 2026, so check My Disney Experience before your visit. The wait will likely be MUCH shorter here! Either way, we suggest avoiding Saturday afternoon if you have any control over the situation. Try a weekday, go earlier in the season, and check Santa’s hours before leaving your hotel. Disney’s holiday schedules can change, and the closer you get to December 24th, the more families suddenly remember that somebody needs to inform Santa about the Bluey Dreamhouse. Meet Santa at Disney Springs! Disney Springs is one of the most convenient options on this list. You just need to plan around everyone else who has realized the exact same thing. #1 Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin This is our sleeper pick. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is once again declaring itself “Santa’s Favorite Resort,” and Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their elf Kandy Kane will appear at Santa’s Holiday Hangout near the Swan pool. Even better, the resort says local guests and visitors from around Disney World are invited. You do not have to buy a theme park ticket just to attend the meet. ©Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin For 2026, Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled from 6 PM to 8 PM on: November 27th and 28th December 4th and 5th December 11th and 12th December 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st There are a couple of catches. The schedule is MUCH more limited than Disney Springs, with only a handful of two-hour windows. Most dates also fall on weekends, which means we wouldn’t stroll in at 7:55 PM expecting a Christmas miracle. Meet Santa Claus at the Swan and Dolphin! But the setting is different: you get Santa AND Mrs. Claus, and this one flies slightly farther under the radar than Disney Springs. Plus, Florida-vacation Santa hanging out near a resort pool is exactly the sort of extremely specific Disney World Christmas memory we enjoy. If one of these dates works with your trip, this is the Santa meet we’d try first. So Where Should You Meet Santa? If you’re already headed into EPCOT or Magic Kingdom, don’t overcomplicate this. Meet Santa while you’re there and save yourself an extra transportation adventure. If you’re attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Santa’s Christmas Carnival is a fun addition to a night you’ve already paid for. We just wouldn’t buy the ticket specifically for him. It’s Santa! The two restaurant events work best when the meal itself is part of the attraction. Maria & Enzo’s is considerably easier to justify than the $200-per-adult Cake Bake dinner, but both turn Santa into a larger holiday event rather than a quick meet-and-greet. Pere Noel For everyone else, we’d look outside the parks. Disney Springs offers the most flexibility without requiring admission, while the Swan and Dolphin gets our vote for the most interesting free Santa stop if your dates line up. Just remember that Santa has places to be on December 24th. Check those schedules before you promise anyone that the sleigh is waiting beside the Skyliner.
