One of the best parts about staying at a Disney World hotel has to be all of the food around the resorts. Especially at the Deluxe Resorts, which have a plethora of fantastic dining options to choose from. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge But if you’re staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge this week, you’ll want to hear this news because it’s about to get more difficult to eat at one spot. This week, The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will be available through Mobile Order only as both the food court and dining room close for brief maintenance. The full menu is set to be available, and the required Mobile Order will last from September 21st through September 25th. While this is slightly inconvenient for anyone staying at the resort, we are thankful that Disney has kept this spot open for guests to order food from, even if the actual space is closed. The Mara The Mara serves classic entrees as well as a selection of grab-and-go options. If you are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge this week and are looking for a dining location where you can sit and enjoy your meal, there are still several other options, including Boma, which is open for breakfast and dinner, serving an all-you-care to enjoy buffet. Boma There is also Jiko if you are looking for a more signature dinner dining experience. Jiko Over in the Kadani Village section of the resort, you can also eat at Sanaa, which is a sit-down restaurant serving African cuisine with Indian flavors, open for lunch and dinner. Sanaa There are also several lounges and pool bars around the resort you can visit for a quick bite to eat and a drink. We love dining at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and despite The Mara being offered through Mobile Order only, this should not impact your trip too much. We regret this INSTANTLY because a bottle of water costs nearly $5 now! That’s why we bring a reusable water bottle whenever we can — we specifically love the HYDAWAY Collapsible Water Bottle! ©Amazon Because it’s collapsible, it’s easy to carry around, so it’s not weighing down our park bags while still keeping us hydrated! The only options? Hide in a building until the rain stops or buy a poncho that rips after one use. When we remember to bring a poncho, our go-to is the Frogg Toggs Poncho! It’s a little more expensive than your average Disney World poncho, but this thing lasts a LONG time. Frogg Toggs Poncho This poncho is THE BEST! It’s certainly no secret that Magic Kingdom is changing in a major way, with the upcoming additions of Villains Land and Piston Peak National Park. Piston Peak National Park While we might not know exactly when either new land will open just yet, Disney is already hard at work making them come to life. Construction is well underway, and we’ve been doing our best to keep an eye on it — even though it’s not easy to spot from the ground. Luckily, there are some new photos that give us a better look at how things are going. Let’s check them out! Things are certainly moving along with construction at Piston Peak National Park! Thanks to @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter, we have new aerial photos of the land, complete with a large tower crane in the middle, which is likely for constructing the Cars Ridge Run Rally ride. Access to Piston Peak will be between the exit area of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Haunted Mansion, so now those two areas of the park will be directly connected. via @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter You can see Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in the upper right corner of the photo below, just to give you an idea of exactly what you’re looking at. Disney has shared that the Peak in Piston Peak will be designed to match the nearby attractions, including these. via @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter Here’s another look at the construction, this time from the Big Thunder Mountain Queue. While the land won’t be large in terms of size, it will be packed with two rides, and potentially dining and shopping as well, though Disney hasn’t officially announced anything. The upcoming area is inspired by National Parks, and more specifically Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The name of Piston Peak stems from the fictional land, Piston Peak National Park, from the 2014 Disney film Planes: Fire & Rescue (which is part of the Cars universe). View of construction from the Big Thunder queue Get ready to race through the mountains on wild terrain along mountain trails as you dodge geysers and splash through mud holes on an exciting and thrilling ride: Cars Ridge Run Rally! Disney shared that “The course will take racers through the rugged beauty of America’s national parks, including a climb up Piston Peak itself, where an icy, snow-covered mountaintop awaits.” View of construction from the Big Thunder queue The second ride will be geared toward “smaller racers” and will be fun for the whole family: Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along! Here, you’ll enter into a demolition derby with Miss Fritter and her “larger-than-life personality,” in her form as a high school-sized bus animatronic! If you’ve been following Disney World news closely over the past few months, then you know there have been a lot of changes in one Animal Kingdom line. Expedition Everest Recently, Disney has changed the way they load guests on Expedition Everest, making the Single Rider line move more slowly. But now the Single Rider line has been officially removed. Single Rider lines are one of our best tips for getting on certain Disney rides a little quicker; if you don’t mind being split from your party, you can save a lot of time in line. And one of our favorite, and most efficient, Single Rider lines was Expedition Everest. You could save a lot of time and get on the ride much quicker than the Standby line. Old Everest Single Rider Sign However, recently Disney updated the way they loaded guests onto the attraction. Instead of guests in the Standby making their way all the way to the front of the line and then being given a row, with single riders filling in the gaps, Disney started to pre-sort guests in the final room of the queue. In this room, guests are sorted into odd and even groups, meaning that there were fewer gaps for the single riders to fill in. Expedition Everest While this made the Standby line move more quickly, it made Single Rider much less efficient. Well, as of September 21st, Single Rider is no longer an option for this attraction. We visited the attraction to check it out, and sure enough, the Single Rider sign has been removed from the queue. Single Rider sign is GONE While this decision is not surprising given how much they have changed the loading process over the past few months, we are sad to see this Single Rider option go. However, we hope this will mean the Standby line will continue to move more quickly. Disney has also made it clear that this change only applies to Everest and that the other Single Rider lines around the parks will still be used! Do you remember the 21st night of September? Because it’s time to celebrate over at EPCOT! Crowds! Every year on September 21st, EPCOT plays the song “September” all day long at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s an awesome tradition, and today we visited to check out all the fun and see if the crowds showed up. Spoiler Alert: they did! One of the best parts about riding Cosmic Rewind is the songs that play on the ride. There is a selection of six songs that can play, and each time you ride, one of them is randomly chosen. The line is already long Many people have the goal of getting all six of the songs, which are: “September” “Disco Inferno” “Conga” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” “I Ran” “One Way or Another” And if you only have “September” left, or it’s just your favorite, today is the perfect time to ride. The iconic opening line of the song goes, “Do you remember the 21st night of September?” and, as a fun tradition, “September” will be the only song to play at Cosmic Rewind today, September 21st! When we got to the ride this morning, the crowds were already showing up and getting in line. September 21st Crowds In fact, by 9:30 this morning, the line was already at 140 minutes, which is over a two-hour wait. In addition to the song playing on the ride, we also spotted a DJ outside the attraction playing Star Lord’s playlist. We even got to see Star Lord himself walking around and interacting with guests. DJ playing Star Lord’s Playlist In years past, this has always been a very popular day to visit EPCOT and ride this attraction, so these higher crowds are not surprising. The wait time remained high throughout the morning and, as of 1:30 PM, only dropped slightly to 125 minutes. So many people! In addition to all the entertainment, there is also a specialty drink for the celebrations called the Supernova Sip available for $6.49. This is a lemonade with spicy hot honey syrup, edible glitter, topped with cotton candy. You can also grab it with bourbon for $17. But we tried the nonalcoholic version. Supernova Sip This drink was very interesting and was an odd combination of both spicy and refreshing. The spice does not burn your lips but rather has a pleasant burn as you drink. It is not overpowering, but if you do not like spice, we would suggest avoiding this one. Supernova Sip The lemonade itself was not too sour and added a nice sweetness against the spice. The design of this drink is very cute, and the addition of the cotton candy and the edible glitter was a very fun touch. Cotton Candy! If you are spice-averse at all, you should probably skip this one, and we think it could be too spicy for kids. But if you love spice, are looking for something unique, and want to celebrate September 21st in style, this is a really fun drink! Keeping up with everything new happening at Disney World has basically become a full-time job at this point (that’s where we come in!) Hurly-Burly The parks are getting entirely new lands, major expansions are breaking ground, fresh rides are headed our way, and classic attractions are finally getting fixed up, so yeah, a lot is happening. But if we’re being honest, it’s the new restaurants that really get us excited. And right now, there is a lot of change at Disney’s BoardWalk. Let’s take a look. We’ve been tracking the construction process of Hurly-Burly, Disney World’s new lounge at Disney’s BoardWalk ahead of its official opening date on October 1st. As that is coming up soon, progress is coming along pretty quickly now. Recently, a new SIGN appeared along the top of the building’s entrance, letting the world know that this is Hurly-Burly. new Hurly-Burly sign Hurly-Burly will be a family-friendly space in the afternoons for activities like trivia and other games. However, at night, starting at 9 P.M., the space will become a 21-and-over venue with live music and “coastal-inspired cocktails.” We can see that coastal theme carried out on the exterior of the venue as well with the new shades of blue. New paint on the exterior The lounge is currently surrounded by planters and a guardrail, so we can only view the outside, but we are getting so excited for this new location to open in less than a month! Opening Oct 1st Hurly-Burly isn’t the only new restaurant coming to the Boardwalk! Disney confirmed that a brand-new quick-service restaurant is on the way to the BoardWalk, though details are being kept close to the chest for now. The official word is that more info is coming later this summer, and honestly, we think this is just what the Boardwalk needed — a solid counter-service option. New quick-service restaurant coming soon! While we don’t know the exact details, we can guess that it will be placed in the former Big River Grille & Brewing Works Restaurant. This is a big deal for resort guests who don’t always want a sit-down meal, and we’re very curious to see what Disney has in store. Right now, we just have construction walls up surrounding the former restaurant, but we are on the lookout for more information and updates! We can’t wait! A new shopping experience is coming to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, and it’s going to offer vintage charm. The new retail experience is called Basin on the BoardWalk, and it will be rooted in the resort’s classic boardwalk heritage. The store will offer a sensory shopping experience that is described as “both timeless and distinctly new.” Right now hedges are surrounding the doors and windows, but we are waiting on Disney to share more information on this location. One thing that we love about visiting Disney World so often is that we’ll often have an experience that’s unique from anything we’ve had before…and it happens all the time. From extra magic created by Cast Members to a fun interaction with a character, this is how Disney remains magical, even for those who go all the time. The Seas with Nemo and Friends Well, a NEW detail just popped up in EPCOT that made us smile, and we had to share it with you. Remember the sea urchins in EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion? Well, sometimes Disney dresses them up, and now they’re dressed up to celebrate the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. Seriously, though, just WAIT until you see them! So first, we need to explain something about sea urchins. Their natural behavior has them covering their bodies with materials they find in their environment. This “covering behavior” helps these animals thrive in harsh habitats. So, sea urchins wear “hats” in their normal environments, which means Disney is just using the sea urchins’ natural behaviors by dropping materials near them that they will eventually pick up and “wear.” Sea Urchin with Mickey hat Well, now the sea urchins are wearing hats to represent the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, so the little hats include things like cheese, baguettes, and even forks. We recently visited the SeaBase Aquarium to see for ourselves, and we saw urchins wearing a cheese wedge as a hat. It’s wearing CHEESE We also saw a sea urchin with a baguette on its head. WE…CAN’T…EVEN. Baguette This is just another way Disney creates extra magic by just counting on sea urchins to do what sea urchins do…wear hats. But even as simple as this is, we are officially obsessed. You’ll want to come check it out for yourself if you plan on visiting the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. EPCOT Food & Wine Festival While you’re at the festival, you’ll also want to check out the food booths that recently opened later than the rest of the festival like The Wedge and Festival Favorites. Disney World is going through some serious changes right now, all over the parks and beyond. Magic Kingdom Hollywood Studios will soon be home to Monstropolis, while Pueblo Esperanza is under construction at Animal Kingdom. And, over at Magic Kingdom, construction has begun on not one, but two new lands: Piston Peak and Villains Land. That’s not the only construction recently spotted at Magic Kingdom, though, as a mystery building has suddenly popped up backstage. A mystery building has started to pop up behind Magic Kingdom, leaving many wondering exactly what it will end up being. Thanks to @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter, we’ve got an aerial view of the construction. According to @bioreconstruct, this new building might be an office building. It’s currently being built backstage, behind Adventureland, next to the service canal for the Electrical Water Pageant barges. via @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter Right now, it’s not exactly clear what the building will be used for, but if we had to guess, it will likely be either an office building or some sort of staging building for Cast Members. According to a commenter on X, it will be the new home for Entertainment, including costuming, parade operations, and more, though this has not been confirmed, so just keep that in mind. The site was previously used by Disney Performing Arts, so it may continue to be used for that once construction is complete. via @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter The building is also somewhat near the new Piston Peak and Villains Lands, so it’s possible that this new building will be used for something that has to do with those expansions. On average, it takes around two to three months for Disney movies to start streaming on Disney+ after they premiere in theaters. That amount of time varies depending on the popularity of the movie and the box office success. Today, we are going to be going over some of the popular movies from this past year that are already on Disney+ and when others will be debuting. Starting with what is currently available to watch on Disney+. ©Disney Popular Movies From 2026 Available on Disney+ Zootopia 2 Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Hoppers The Devil Wears Prada 2 ©Disney Now, let’s look into what everyone is really curious about: when the rest of the movies released this year will be available on Disney+. Disney+ Streaming Dates for These Popular 2026 Movies Toy Story 5 — September 23rd, 2026 Live Action Moana — Late 2026. Disney has not provided an exact date, but we suspect it will be released on Disney+ sometime in October or November! ©Disney Now, there are many other highly anticipated movies set to release soon, especially Avengers: Doomsday, which will premiere in theaters on December 18th, 2026. Now, with a movie like this, it will most likely not follow the typical two- to three-month streaming rule. While many Marvel movies are released and do hit streaming within this window, Doomsday is the first full Avengers movie to be released since Avengers: Endgame back in 2019. ©Marvel And Endgame took over six months to arrive on Disney+. It is important to note that Avengers: Endgame did appear on Disney+ with the launch of the service in 2019. So, while we predict that Avengers: Doomsday will not hit Disney+ until several months after it premieres (most likely more than three months), it will probably not be a full six months. A more accurate comparison would be movies like Deadpool & Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts, which all took closer to four months to debut on Disney+. Have you ever dreamed of working for Disney? Becoming a Disney World Cast Member is a dream come true for so many people, but it’s not every day that Disney is looking to hire folks in roles at the parks. We LOVE Cast Members! However, that’s about to change. According to WESH, Disney will soon be hiring THOUSANDS of new Cast Members for jobs in Florida, so maybe it’s time to dust off that resume, polish up your interviewing skills, and start checking the Disney jobs site for openings. Disney World will be adding 5,000 NEW jobs in Central Florida over the next five years. Of course, this makes sense, considering just how BIG Disney World is about to get. Right now, Magic Kingdom is getting a Cars-themed expansion in Frontierland and a Villains Land. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a new land, Pueblo Esperanza. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also getting a new land, Monstropolis. A new hotel, Lakeshore Lodge, is also on the way. ©Disney This news comes after Disney’s new CEO, Josh D’Amaro, announced efforts to restructure the company at the corporate level, including some layoffs. Currently, Disney World is the largest single-site employer in the U.S. with around 80,000 Cast Members. EPCOT Cast Members What kind of roles will Disney be looking to fill? Well, some will be those Cast Members you don’t see often. Disney Ambassador Kylee Withers said, “There’s a whole operation behind the scenes, and those cast members are laying the foundation to help create that experience. And I think the cast members that you don’t see oftentimes are the ones that help really immerse our guests in that experience.” Haunted Mansion Cast Members Disney has said that three out of five Disney leaders began their careers in hourly roles, while full-time cast members in professional, leadership, and skilled operations stay with the company for around an average of 12 years, which is much higher than the national average. Hurly-Burly We’ve got Piston Peak in Magic Kingdom, Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios, Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom, and more. While we are thrilled for these new lands to open, we still have a long wait until they do, which is why we are so excited that a brand new experience opens in Disney World next week! That’s right, after much waiting and anticipation, Hurly-Burly officially opens next week on October 1st. This all-new lounge experience will open on Disney’s BoardWalk and is themed to “the golden era of seaside leisure, offering family entertainment by day and splashy live music by night.” ©Disney Here, you can expect specialty cocktails, small plates, and live entertainment as you are transported back in time to the 1920s while enjoying the theming and entertainment of this new space. Now, the name of this spot is very interesting. Hurly-Burly actually means a loud state of commotion and uproar, so we suspect this location will be full of fun, music, and high energy, which we are very excited to experience! Listen, I’m not trying to be dramatic, but I think some Disney World chicken strips and fries would heal me right about now. Chicken Tenders at Cosmic Ray’s Okay, maybe that is a bit dramatic, but there’s just something about Disney’s chicken strips that scratches an itch for me. Maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe it’s the fact that everything tastes better when I’m at Disney World, or maybe it’s just the fact that I love me a good chicken strip. No matter the reason, sometimes I drive all the way to Disney World just for the chicken strips, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Every once in a while, I will turn to my husband and proclaim the need for Disney World chicken tenders. Not any chicken tenders that I can get nearby, but specifically the chicken tenders you’ll find at several different quick-service spots around Disney World. So, he will indulge me, and soon enough, I’ll be riding Passenger Princess-style on the roughly two-hour drive to the parks. Chicken Strips and Fries I know what you’re probably thinking: “Those chicken tenders really aren’t anything special.” And, objectively, you’re right. But somehow, they’re still special to me. Are they mass-produced by a food distribution company like Sysco? Yes. Could I probably find the exact same chicken tenders at a restaurant near my home? Also yes. But would they taste as good if I’m not eating them in the Most Magical Place on Earth? Absolutely not. ©Netflix Call me crazy, but I even prefer them to other popular chicken tenders at Disney World, like those at Chicken Guy! I don’t know what it is, but something about the good ol’ quick-service tendies just does it for me, and now that Disney has introduced some ~elevated~ versions of these tendies, I’m basically in heaven anytime I get to eat them. What can I say? I love me some chicken tenders. My favorite of the saucy chicken tenders at Disney World can be found at Backlot Express in Hollywood Studios. The Honey Buffalo Chicken Strips with Ranch are completely glazed in a honey buffalo sauce and drizzled with ranch, and I am all about it. I love buffalo sauce. I love ranch. I love buffalo sauce and ranch together. So, yeah, these chicken strips are basically my dream come true. BIG FAN OVER HERE And, now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to tell my husband we’re going to need to plan a chicken tendie mission soon. We don’t always eat our way around Disney World…okay, yeah, we do. We ALWAYS eat our way around Disney World, and that means this week, we did even MORE eating. We got to check out a newly-reopened EPCOT Food & Wine Festival booth, enjoyed a delicious flatbread at what is probably one of our least favorite Magic Kingdom restaurants (hey, sometimes, those restaurants surprise us!), and were disappointed when one of our favorite meals in Disney’s Hollywood Studios changed. Disney World has seen SO many changes this year, including new rides, restaurants, and experiences. And believe it or not, even more changes are in store for October 2026. Cinderella Castle Several restaurants and food options are opening in Disney World in October, while two will temporarily close. Plus, one park is opening later, another park is closing later, and an annual marathon will start in the Most Magical Place on Earth, too. Hurly-Burly Opens Hurly-Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk opens October 1st, 2026, offering live entertainment, vintage drinks, and lite bites. Hurly-Burly During the day, the lounge will welcome guests for family-friendly fun, including host-led activities like trivia and other games. At night, the lounge will become a 21-and-older nightlife venue. FULL MENU Announced For Disney’s NEW Hurly-Burly Lounge New Food & Wine Festival Booths The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is officially underway, but not every booth has opened yet! The 2026 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival The last four booths, Coastal Eats, Earth Eats, The Alps, and India, will open on October 2nd and be available through the end of the festival. 6 Booths With Delayed Openings At The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Scat Cat’s Club Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is known for many things, but the delicious beignets at Scat Cat’s Club are one of the biggest ones. If you’re a big fan of this fluffy, delightful snack, where you can snag them will be CHANGING for the coming few months. Mickey Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Scat Cat’s Club Café and Lounge close on October 6th. The refurbishment is expected to take until December for the Café, while the Lounge is expected to open in January 2027. During the closure, beignets and coffee will also be available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory, and a temporary bar will be available near the café from 5 PM to 11 PM each night. Beignet Fans, DON’T PANIC, But Your Beloved Disney World Snack is Moving Diamond Horseshoe The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom will reopen on October 4th with a brand-new cowboy-themed menu. ©Disney Reservations open on September 29th, but walk-ins are available. NEW MENU REVEALED for Magic Kingdom Restaurant Olivia’s Cafe Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will end brunch service on October 6th. This meal has been a longtime favorite of ours, a true hidden gem in Disney World. Now, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Olivia’s Cafe Brunch Spread Starting on Tuesday, October 6th, breakfast will be served from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 2 PM, and dinner from 5 PM to 9 PM. Disney World Is Removing Brunch From One of Our Favorite Restaurants Animal Kingdom Extended Evening Hours If you’re staying at a deluxe Disney World resort in October, you’ll get access to Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom. You’ll get an extra two hours in the park from 6 PM to 8 PM! Pandora at night On Tuesday, October 20th and Monday, October 26th, you can take advantage of lower ride wait times and even catch Pandora: The World of Avatar all lit up at night! A FULL List of Disney World Park Hours for October 2026 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend The runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will be held from Friday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 25th, featuring a 5K, 10K, and half-marathon race, plus a 19.3-mile challenge. ©runDisney Instead of its usual 9 AM opening (8:30 AM Early Entry), EPCOT will open at 10 AM (9:30 AM Early Entry) on Friday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 25th to account for the early morning races. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Would you believe us if we told you that a lot of the best options aren’t in the parks themselves? It’s true! Flatlands Bar & Grill We recently stopped by Flatlands Bar & Grill at Flamingo Crossings, located super close to Disney World but technically outside of the parks and hotel bubble, to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, especially since you can’t take a Disney bus or other mode of transportation to get there? We’re finding out! Atmosphere This is a brand new restaurant that opens soon at Flamingo Crossings, which is less than 10 minutes from Disney World. It’s located directly across from Simply Capri and is the latest creation from Nick Valenti, owner of Simply Capri and partner in Vivoli Il Gelato’s U.S. locations. A look outside! The inspiration behind the new concept is the flatlands of Florida and the different groups of people who have immigrated there. It’s meant to have a more intimate feel and not be as large as Simply Capri. However, the bar is massive, with plenty of space for seating along the gorgeous wooden counter to watch the bartenders in action. We’re here! As for the outside, it makes you feel like you’re in someone’s upscale backyard. Nick Valenti, the owner of Flatlands Bar & Grill, told us that he wants this restaurant to be an “everyday experience” with a touch of upscale offerings. That way it can be a Friday night destination or a spot where people come to celebrate special events. Look at that design! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Here you can find food and drinks sourced from local breweries, along with produce and beef from quality providers throughout the United States. It serves us fresh fish, steaks, gelato, “the best burger in Florida,” and other dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Menu Don’t worry — there are plenty of drinks on the menu as well! Drink Menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Cherry Sour, which is made with Amaretto Disaronno, Aperol, Old Forester 86 Bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and Amarena cherry syrup. It’ll cost you $16. We didn’t find it extremely sour, but we could see how someone who’s a little bit more sensitive to those kinds of tones would think it’s a sour drink. Cherry Sour We will warn you this one’s kind of dangerous; it doesn’t taste like alcohol. Instead, it tastes like a cherry limeade with more emphasis on the cherry, but with a little bit of a kick to it. We think the sour tones come from the foam that sits on top of the drink. If you’re more into fruity drinks and sour stuff, this is something you’ll definitely lean towards on the menu. That foam on top is the most sour! We also grabbed the Orange Blossom Collins. This will cost you $18 and is made with Gunpowder Irish Citrus Gin, Dry Curacao, Orange Blossom & Honey Syrup, and Grapefruit Soda. Orange Blossom Collins This drink is so refreshing it’s not even funny. It’s giving a mix of semi-sweet lemonade mixed with semi-sweet orange juice in the best way. This is another drink that’s dangerous because you just can’t really tell there’s alcohol in it. You get a little bit of a kick on that initial sip, but it’s hard to tell if that’s the gin or the grapefruit soda. The honey and orange notes give this a sweeter taste, but it’s balanced with the grapefruit soda, which makes it a little bit more bitter and tart. Another winner, in our book! This one is a winner! The Sugar Cane Cooler will cost you $14 and is Mint-infused Bacardi Rum & Cachaça, Mandarin Pureé, Demerara Syrup, cold pressed Lime juice. Sugar Cane Cooler This one’s probably the best drink we had here! The waiter told us that it was popular amongst the people who are coming here, and we can see why! Interestingly, it tastes like less tangy pineapple juice, or like a less citrusy orange juice. Yet another dangerous drink where you can’t really tell there’s alcohol in it. Delicious! Each sip has a little bit of mintiness to it, and the aroma adds to it as well if you keep the mint leaves in. The waiter warned us that it was going to be too sweet, but it really isn’t — it has the right sweetness for a fruity drink, so if those are your style of drinks, we think it’s a must-have. Eats First up, we grabbed the Mini Lobster Rolls, which are $27 and made with Butter-poached Maine lobster, spicy mayo, and toasted brioche. Mini Lobster Rolls This is WORLDS better than the lobster roll in EPCOT. Every bite of these is so flavourful and soft and fluffy. The lobster is clearly the standout flavor with this dish, as rich as it is, but the toasted brioche bun brings it all together. The spicy mayo gives it a little bit of a kick, while the arugula gives it a more earthy flavor and tone. Overall, this is mostly soft thanks to the brioche and lobster; however, there is a little bit of a firmer texture to the bite because the bun is toasted, which we loved. This is one of our new favorites! Meanwhile, the Cornish Hen is a herb-roasted Cornish hen, Yukon Gold whipped potatoes, grilled asparagus, natural jus, grilled ciabatta, and fresh herbs, and will cost you $36. Cornish Hen If you’re looking at this and you think it gives Thanksgiving vibes, you are 100% right! This really does taste like a Thanksgiving dish, from the taste of the hen to the seasonal vegetables to the sauce. The hen is cooked very well — it’s firm, but not hard to chew. The vegetables are a great bonus on the side, but what really brings this whole thing together is the sauce. It’s very rich in flavor, and it’s savory, like an earthier-toned gravy. An amazing dish! The potatoes that this dish comes with are absolutely delicious. They’re very different here than anywhere else you’ll go. The chef grills them in the sauce, then tosses them in the pan to give the outside a darker tone. They’re moist, soft, and SO flavorful. You do have to maneuver around a lot of bones in this dish, but overall this was a 10/10 for us. We can’t recommend this enough! We also grabbed the 22 oz Prime Ribeye, which will cost $68 and is served with your choice of house sauce. 22 oz Prime Ribeye Come hungry if you’re getting the prime ribeye because it is a big piece of meat! We chose to get ours medium-well, which did come out pretty pink. We grabbed the truffle fries as our side, and got chimichurri as our sauce. The ribeye is very juicy, so if you’re looking for a piece of meat that just has flavour to it, this is your go-to. It’s chewy but not overly so, and it also has that somewhat more charred flavor to pair with the juiciness. It’s a BIG piece! This was another item that was just recommended to us by a bunch of waiters and waitresses. Again, we can see why! They don’t overdo the truffle fries, which we appreciated. They taste like normal French Fries with a little bit of emphasis on the flavor, so if you’re looking for a LOT of flavor, you may find these lacking a bit. These truffle fries aren’t too overpowering For dessert, we grabbed the Chocolate Chip Cookie for $17, which is served with Vanilla Ice Cream, shaved almonds, and caramel sauce. Chocolate Chip Cookie If you’re a sucker for warm baked goods that melt in your mouth, this is calling your name. The chocolate is melted inside the cookie, and the ice cream soaks into the cookie as well. It’s nothing crazy unique, but it’s a great dessert option! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for a restaurant with a fantastic menu. We really didn’t encounter a single bad thing on this menu, which leads us to believe that it’s practically a win all around. You want great drinks to pair with your incredible meal. We were also insanely impressed with each of the drinks we got to try here, and feel all of them are going to be great options, as long as you know what you’re looking for. You’re looking for a spot that will feel intimate without feeling too cramped. The space this restaurant takes up means that you feel like you’re able to have great conversations with your group without yelling over the people around you, but you also don’t feel like you’re right up next to the table near you. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not willing to travel outside of the Disney bubble. Yes, this spot is super close to Disney World, but you won’t be able to take a Disney bus or other mode of transportation to get there, maybe making it harder to get there. You’ve got pickier kiddos or adults in your group. The menu isn’t wildly expansive, so if you’re looking for something that will appeal to a large group, or a pickier group, this may not be the best place. You want a spot that doesn’t need a reservation. While it’s possible to be able to walk up and grab a table, reservations are strongly recommended, and that means that it’s not easy to eat without planning ahead. Overall We think this restaurant is a MAJOR win, and we cannot WAIT for it to officially open on September 21st. We think it’s going to be a big hit, and personally, if you’ve driven your own car or you’re open to taking a rideshare, we think it’s absolutely worth a visit. Things are ALWAYS changing in Disney World! Lately, it feels like the parks are entirely new places thanks to upcoming projects like Villains Land, Piston Peak, Monsters Inc. Land, and more, and while that sometimes can be overwhelming, we’re here to help you navigate it all. Expedition Everest Each week, it feels like Disney is constantly dropping new information, details, and more! That’s why we like to do a weekly wrap-up of the biggest news so you don’t miss a single thing. We got a TON of announcements this week, so get ready. This week’s news takes us into multiple different Disney World parks, including the water parks! Not only that, we also got a major shakeup in the world of Disney technology. Water Park Pass is BACK! If you’ve wanted to visit Disney’s water parks, Blizzard Beach and/or Typhoon Lagoon multiple times, but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg each time, this returning deal is FOR YOU! Disney has brought back their seasonal water park pass for just $89 plus tax (0r $83 for kids 3-9). It’s available to be used up until May 15th, 2027, and you can start using it RIGHT NOW! Typhoon Lagoon There are a few blockout dates to keep in mind, however: February 19th to 21st and March 20th to 28th, 2027, which is peak spring break season. This pass gives you access to both water parks, if they’re both open, or to whichever one is open at the time of your visit. $89 Season Pass Is BACK at Disney World, and We’ve Got All the Details! The Disney Play App is No More We’ve got some bad news if you loved the Play Disney Parks app. As of September 16th, the app has been discontinued. If you search for Play Disney Parks in the App Store or on Google Play, you won’t find it. While we did find the web page for the app on the Disney World website and in My Disney Experience, the download links no longer work. @Disney The app is still showing up on phones that have downloaded it, but if you click on its icon, you’ll get a message letting you know that the app is no longer available. Most of the games on the app aren’t working anymore, but as for the Star Wars Bounty Hunters game, it still seems to be active. Disney has not yet explained how the game has changed. CONFIRMED: This Disney App Has Gone Away For Good The Expedition Everest Single Rider Line Will Soon Be No More As of September 21st, the single rider line option at Expedition Everest will go away forever. However, this didn’t come as a huge surprise since Disney started changing the way the ride loaded recently. Previously, when you reached the end of the line, Cast Members would assign you a row and then have single riders fill the gap. However, Disney started experimenting with pre-sorting guests in the final section of the queue into even and odd groups, allowing ride vehicles to be loaded more efficiently. This meant that fewer single riders were getting called, and the single rider line began moving slower. Everest Single Rider Line Disney did stress that the single rider option at other select rides still offers a useful tool to help Cast Members fill the remaining seats in ride vehicles that aren’t occupied, so it will remain in place at other attractions. Target And you know what? Fine. Sometimes the best shopping lists are just four things that made us stop scrolling and say, “Wait, Target has THAT?” So, in no particular order and with no attempt whatsoever to make these things make sense together, here are four Disney finds worth checking out at Target this September.
