McDonald’s just announced some new Happy Meal toys “launching into a new universe” on July 14th, and we are OBSESSED! McDonald’s Happy Meal If you’re a fan of the popular South Korean boy band BTS, you’re going to want to keep reading because some new collector’s items are coming your way! BT21 is collaborating with McDonald’s as the newest Happy Meal toy, and here’s what we know! On July 2nd, McDonald’s took to their social media and teased a new theme to their happy meals. While we didn’t know exactly what it was, there were some hints — heart shapes, bunny ears, music notes, and flying saucers. @McDonalds on X The video showed shadows of the familiarly looking characters, so we had a guess on what they could be. From this teaser itself, we were 99% sure it was about B21 — a character brand created by BTS in collaboration with LINE FRIENDS, which feature eight unique characters designed by the boy band themselves. ©B21 But now we’re 100% sure because IT’S CONFIRMED — new B21 toys will be available in Happy Meals beginning July 14th! @mcdonalds on Instagram This follows the first McDonald’s x BTS collaboration after last year’s BTS’ TinyTan figurines in Happy Meals. ©McDonald’s The B21 figures will be available exclusively will Happy Meals while supplies last. These will be a hot commodity since they often sell out at launch, so if you want to guarantee yourself one of these figures, we recommend you confirm with your local McDonald’s that they will have them on release day and get in line right when lunch starts serving at 11 AM! Magic Kingdom might be the most stressful park in Disney World. While they all have their pros and cons, Magic Kingdom is likely the one that comes to mind when you picture Disney World: the iconic castle, the most popular rides, and SO much to do. Magic Kingdom There’s a lot of advice as to what you should do first during your Magic Kingdom day. What ride should you head to first? What are the ones to avoid? We’re here to offer something else: ignore the haters, and do THIS first in Magic Kingdom. We know that you probably want to head onto your first ride immediately, but if you’re stressing out in the morning, you’re probably not going to have a great rest of your day. Beeline-ing straight to an attraction is a great way to get one extra ride in, especially the popular ones, but it can cause a lot of stress from picking the right one, making sure it’s up and running, and more. Cinderella Castle What we recommend is to actually head straight to coffee and breakfast! There’s something so magical about grabbing coffee and watching the morning castle show while everyone else runs to their next ride. While you might miss out on one ride, a relaxing morning can totally be worth it. Joffrey’s in Magic Kingdom Now, you might be tempted to head to Starbucks, something you probably already know and love, but we’re telling you to head somewhere else. Starbucks has a different name in the four Disney Parks, and for Magic Kingdom, it’s called the Main Street Bakery. Instead of heading here, which is usually PACKED in the morning, you should head to a Joffrey’s location! Starbucks line We love the one by TRON Lightcycle / Run, which is perfect if you plan on rope-dropping it or are skipping out while the rest of the family climbs on the roller coaster. Joffrey’s in Tomorrowland You can also find Joffrey’s coffee at smaller locations, but they might not have the full selection you’re looking for. Cold brew fans will really love finding them in different locations, too. Golden Oak Outpost While you’re grabbing coffee or hot chocolate (we are seriously obsessed with Joffrey’s hot chocolate), you can grab one of their many pastries and massive donuts, which are delicious. DONUTS! You can also head to a few other locations for a great breakfast treat. We like the Cheshire Cafe, which offers some Joffrey’s coffee options along with a Cheshire Cat Tail, which is one of our favorite pastries. They’re super pretty to take pictures of, too. We’ve found in the morning that these are the warmest and freshest, and yes, it’s worth skipping an attraction for. Cheshire Cat Tail While you might just want to run in line, you likely still have a pretty significant wait ahead of you, and the wait is far worse when you’re hungry and cranky and don’t have that needed caffeine. It’s inevitable — Disney World increases prices on at least something every year. Disney World Annual Pass And from 2025 to 2026, we saw quite a few changes when it came to prices. Here are SEVEN things that increased in price this year. The BOATHOUSE: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats Most recently, we found some price increases on the menu over at The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs. Prices on some menu items increased by just $0.50, while others increased by a whopping $6. Most notably, the 7-ounce Petite Filet Mignon is now $60 compared to the prior $54. Other major changes include the NY Steak* & Fries now for $42.50, Pan-Roasted Corvina now for $41, and Pan-Seared Gulf Grouper now for $48.50, all of which increased by $3. The BOATHOUSE THIS Menu Is the Reason We’re Going to Disney Springs on Our Next Trip The Edison Another Disney Springs restaurant that has seen price increases so far this year is The Edison. Back in February, this restaurant saw price increases on menu items from $0.50 to $6. The Electri-Fries made with loaded l. burbank fries, black truffle fontina sauce, bacon, parmesan and green onion, truffle oil were previously $12, but now $18. Other price increases on the menu include the Spinach Parmesan Dip now for $18, Fried Pickle Spears now for $15, and Cracklins now for $12 — all of which saw a $3 price increase. The Edison This NEW Disney Springs Restaurant Just Took a BIG Step Toward Opening Special Event Tickets Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins one month from today! But something that came along with this year’s party is price increases on admission. Last year, tickets cost anywhere from $119 to $199 depending on the night you purchased them for. This year, tickets range from $119 to $229! While the lowest price didn’t change, the highest price increased by $30! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! The same (but opposite — you’ll know what I mean in a second) goes with Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. In 2025, ticket prices for Jollywood Nights ranged from $159 to $199, and this year, event tickets cost $169 to $199 per ticket. Again, this all depends on the date you’ll be attending, but Jollywood Nights saw a $10 increase in the cheapest ticket rather than the most expensive one. Jollywood Nights Wristband In regard to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the cheapest tickets were also the ones that increased. Last year, admission ranged from $169 to $229 per ticket, and this year, tickets cost $189 to $229 per ticket, which means that this special-ticketed event saw a $20 increase! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Map Every SOLD OUT Date For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Iconic Mickey Snacks In May, the iconic Mickey-shaped Pretzel increased its price by $0.50. Before, guests were able to purchase a Mickey-shaped Pretzel with Cheese Sauce for $7.99, and now, guests will have to pay $8.49. Mickey-shaped Pretzel Even Though You LOVE Them, I Avoid These 4 Snacks in Magic Kingdom Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie In May, this popular French bakery saw some price increases on several menu items. Some menu items at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion at EPCOT increased by $0.10 to $1. Although these are only small increases, they can still add up over time, especially when 16 items experienced an increase. The two items that received a $1 increase are the Croissant Jambon Fromage, now for $7.95, and the Pissaladiere, now for $6.95. Les Halles Boulangerie-Pâtisserie We Tried 5 (!!!) EPCOT Snacks at Les Halles — Here’s What You Should NOT Skip, Even When the Line Is out the Door Yak & Yeti Restaurant Another restaurant that saw price increases on menu items in May is Yak & Yeti Restaurant in Animal Kingdom. This restaurant saw a price increase on a whopping 26 menu items! These increases range from $0.30 to $1.50. The Crab Rangoon Dip saw the largest increase from $18.49 to $20.99. And behind that item were the Bhaktapur Duck now for $40.99 and the Cantonese Pork Belly Bowl* now for $37.99 — both of which increased by $1. Yak & Yeti Restaurant We’ve Got a Big Update on the Tropical Americas Land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Hollywood Studios Fantasmic! Dining Package Heading over to Hollywood Studios, the price for the Fantasmic! Dining Package at one restaurant changed. This package offers a meal at a participating restaurant in Hollywood Studios and reserved seating for the nighttime spectacular Fantasmic! Guests can choose between four popular restaurants in the park, but the one we’re focusing on is Hollywood & Vine. The restaurant is both a character meal and a buffet, and the dining package includes a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and older. Hollywood & Vine Before, the Fantasmic! Dining Package at Hollywood & Vine costs $81 for adults and $51 for kids. But now, the same package costs $82 for adults and $53 for kids. While a $2 price increase doesn’t seem like much, this price can add up fast for larger groups. Mickey at Hollywood & Vine We Know When Lightning Lane Prices Will INCREASE in Disney World CFO Emphasizes Price Increases Will Continue And these price increases aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Hugh Johnston, the CFO of Disney, spoke at the MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference in May about price increases and why they’ll stick around. When new attractions open, this is the time that demand surges, so instead of offering discounts, Disney charges the same — and sometimes even more — because it’s offering something that wasn’t there before. With expansions and new offerings, Disney is focusing on growth in both attendance and pricing. World of Frozen Disneyland Paris So, according to the consistent trends of price increases and the fact that Disney CFO Hugh Johnston emphasized that price increases will continue, we can assume that price increases are here to stay and won’t be going anywhere any time soon. It’s important to note that we typically see a HUGE wave of price increases for Disney World tickets, food, experiences, and more in October, so we’ll be on the lookout as the year continues. With all the construction going on at Disney World, we bet you forgot about this smaller refurbishment at Magic Kingdom! Storybook Circus Since February of this year, Big Top Souvenirs in Magic Kingdom’s Storybook Circus has been closed for refurbishment. Disney has yet to announce an opening date, so we’ve been popping by from time to time to check on the progress. This most recent update is HUGE! The Big Top Souvenirs tent has officially been replaced! The tent had been completely removed a few months ago, with just the steel frame where the tent had been remaining. However, it’s finally been replaced, and it’s looking fresh and new. The tent is back! This just means we’re one step closer to the reopening of the popular souvenir shop! It’s been a process since its closure on February 20th, but we knew it was going to be a lengthy refurbishment. It’s supposed to open later this year, but there hasn’t been any word on a specific date. The new tent! Big Top Souvenirs is one of the more underrated stores in Magic Kingdom. It’s a great place to grab Disney souvenirs, treats, slushies, and more. It’s also a great spot to just step inside and cool down. There are tables for families to sit at and kids to color at. We hope it opens soon! For now, we’ll have to enjoy the other things that Storybook Circus has to offer. There are plenty of meet-and-greet opportunities, some great rides for kiddos (including the iconic Dumbo ride), and even a circus splash pad. We’ve got some big news out of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, and it may not be the announcement you were expecting! Celestial Park Lots of Universal Orlando Annual Passholders have been anxiously waiting to see if adding Epic Universe to their pass will be an option, and it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see if that will become a reality. In the meantime, Universal has just announced an all-new after-hours event for the park, the first for this park! Universal Orlando has just announced that the new Universal Nights at Epic Universe will arrive on Saturday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 17th. This new limited-capacity nighttime after-hours event will include access to attractions, entertainment, character interactions, and more, as well as unlimited complimentary specialty snacks and beverages. The ticket will allow you access to the park from 9 PM to midnight, though you can enter the park as early as 7 PM. ©Universal Tickets will go on sale August 13th and will start at $179.99 plus tax per person. Universal says more information will be shared in the weeks ahead, and we’re thinking part of that will be whether Annual Passholders will get any sort of discount on tickets. Super Nintendo World Don’t forget that today, July 7th, is the debut of Epic Universe’s new nighttime spectacular, Universal Celestial Goodnight, which will take place each evening in Celestial Park. It’ll combine 600 synchronized light fixtures, over 350 larger-than-life fountains, seven million LED lights, and a high-energy musical score to create a spectacle you’ll never forget. Since the showtime for this event is currently later in the evening, it’s very likely that seeing the spectacle will also be included in the new after-hours ticket. More Recent Epic Universe News! We’re BACK at one of our favorite spots on Disney’s BoardWalk, because yes, there’s ANOTHER new menu item, and you know we had to head there to try it out immediately. Who’s ready for cake? The Cake Bake Shop may be pricey, but wow, are those cake slices and other treats from the bakery absolutely divine. That’s not even touching on the actual restaurant side, which also ranks very high for us, but we love how accessible the bakery is. If you want a sweet treat that will take you right back to your childhood, look no further than this new cake slice. The newest addition to the Cake Bake Shop bakery menu is the Cotton Candy Cake. One slice of this costs $22, but it’s massive, just like all the others, and it’s strawberry and vanilla cake layers filled with cotton candy buttercream, frosted in blue, pink, and white cotton candy buttercream, and topped with swirls. Slice of Cotton Candy Cake When we saw the description at first, we were nervous it would just taste like a mouthful of sugar, but we’re SO relieved that that’s so far from the truth. The layers of vanilla and strawberry cake are subtly flavored and so light and airy that they remind us of cotton candy melting on our tongue. The buttercream is whipped to perfection, like always, really adding to that light cotton candy experience. Look at those fun colors! We loved that there’s just a hint of the cotton candy flavor in the buttercream, as it’s very pleasant with the alternating layers of vanilla and strawberry cake. The subtle strawberry flavor of the two layers reminds us of the mind tricks pink cotton candy plays on you, where you go, “Is this actually strawberry-flavored, or do I just think so because it’s pink?” It was far from overpowering and was such a fun, beautiful take on a childhood classic. Just about a week after its release, one of the most affordable Disneyland Resort tickets seen in recent history has now completely sold out. Disneyland Entrance Last week, Disneyland released a new limited-time ticket deal for just $59, where guests could visit the park in the evening for a few hours for a much lower cost than your average ticket. The deal was popular, clearly, because now, just six days later, the ticket is no longer available for purchase. The Disneyland website has now suspended the sale of the $59 1-Day Evening Ticket with Admission to 1 Park, though it hasn’t been completely removed from the website, meaning it’s possible it could go back on sale in the future. Currently, the ticket is listed as unavailable, but all information about it is still available to be read. ©Disney The ticket is available for use Sundays through Wednesdays from July 12th through August 5th, and being an evening ticket, admission is only allowed later in the day. For Disneyland, the ticket is valid from 7 PM to park close, while Disney California Adventure allows access from 5 PM to park close. Disney California Adventure entrance While there’s no telling if and when this ticket will return, Disney has also just introduced a new $71 ticket for Anaheim Residents looking to visit Disneyland Resort as well. The new deal is for a 1-day ticket starting at $50 for children ages 3 to 9 and $71 for ages 10 and up, and becomes available on July 16th. It’ll be available for trips from July 20th to October 8th, 2026, and this ticket will allow you access into the park for the whole day! More Recent Disneyland Resort News! You can even meet characters you’ve always loved. There’s also an entirely secret side of Disney World that we’re here to let you in on. If you’ve been wanting to get into one of Disney World’s most popular bars without a long wait or a reservation, we have a secret way to grab a delicious sip. If you’re a Star Wars fan or a theme park enthusiast, we would bet you’ve heard of Oga’s Cantina. This super popular bar is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it’s taken straight from the Star Wars films. There’s a robot DJ, unique space creatures, and some delicious beverages inside. DJ R-3X All of these things together make this a very popular bar in Hollywood Studios. Reservations can be hard to come by, and if there is a walk-up wait list, it might mean waiting a long time in the sun. A lot of guests also don’t want to waste a second of their park day by going to a table service or bar experience. Luckily for anyone wanting to check out Oga’s without the time commitment or the hard-to-get reservation, we’re here to remind you about a secret way to enjoy those space drinks. Oga’s Cantina If you didn’t know, there is a To Go Line at Oga’s! That’s right, there’s a special line where you can walk inside the lively bar, grab a specialty drink, and then be on your merry way. Once you wait your turn, you can head inside the bar with a Cast Member where there’s a little open area along the bar for to-go orders. The to-go line! Once inside, you can check out the menu, grab your drink, and then continue your Hollywood Studios exploration. During our latest experience with the to-go line, the Cast Members made it a very efficient experience by making sure the line kept moving. If you want to hang out, you’ll need to toss your name on the walk-up wait list. Our to-go drink! We grabbed one of those famous Fuzzy Tauntaun, which is just as good as drinking it inside the bar! Now, this line isn’t new. It’s been here for roughly 2 years, but a reminder about this “secret” entrance never hurts. Disney World summers continue to be a serious topic in our virtual household! Storms in EPCOT! The heat can make people sick, and storms can throw big wrenches in your day. If you’re not prepared with the best tool bag and the right mentality, it can turn your magical vacation into a nightmare! If you’re in Disney World this week, you need to hear this big word of warning before heading into the park. Summer in Disney World continues to live up to the hype. Before going to Orlando, you might have had people warn you about the heat and summer showers and thought to yourself, “Oh, I’ll be okay!” Well, this week is here to prove exactly WHY people warn you. According to Click Orlando, this week is going to be a typical Disney World summer. Magic Kingdom This week is kicking off with storms on Monday, July 6th. The greatest chance for rain is around 60% to 70% near and south of Seminole County. The outlet predicts the storms could be strong enough to produce lightning and winds between 45 and 55 miles per hour. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s before the storm, but those muggy conditions won’t end with the rain. They will continue through the night. Storm clouds in EPCOT On Tuesday, rain chances will be lower, so you won’t be as soaked. (Hopefully). By Wednesday, isolated showers and storms are expected to continue. Thursday is expected to be mostly dry with rain chances sitting between 20% and 30%. The heat is more concerning than the rain, though! Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom High pressure is expected to build over the Southeast, which will make way for temperatures to climb into the mid and upper 90s during the latter half of the week. That means stay hydrated and keep your fans charged! The heat index could reach or exceed 108 degrees, which means Heat Advisories might be issued. Shark Chill Pill Fan Going into the weekend, you can continue to brace for rain. Rain chances are expected to grow again by the weekend, so keep those umbrellas and Frogg Toggs handy. Bad weather doesn’t mean you need to have a bad Disney day! We like to stay prepared by keeping our Frogg Togg ponchos, our best fans, a great water bottle, and sturdy shoes with us at all times. Things are changing at Disney Springs! Ghirardelli at Disney Springs After nearly 30 years at its current home, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop has been temporarily relocated while its Marketplace location undergoes a renovation. The renovations are expected to be completed sometime in Spring 2027, so we stopped by the temporary location to check it out and bring you all the details you need to know! Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop’s original location has closed and will reopen at a new, temporary location in the Disney Springs Town Center area. The updated shop in the Marketplace is expected to reopen in Spring 2027. The remodeled store will feature increased guest seating, more efficient guest checkout, and a “few surprises.” Chocolate surprises?! Say less. Original location is under construction! The new, temporary location is located in the Disney Springs Town Center area, in the former Sprinkles Cupcakes location, which was more recently home to the Black Tap Crazy Shake pop-up. Temporary Ghirardelli location We stopped by to check it out, and while the temporary location is lacking some of the whimsy that the original location had, we are happy that we can still get our Ghirardelli fix at all during the renovation! You’ll still be able to shop plenty of those little chocolate squares… Ghirardelli chocolates …and all of the ice cream treats and milkshakes you love from Ghirardelli are still available in the temporary location as well. For now, an official reopening date for the original Ghirardelli location has not yet been announced, but we’ll keep an eye out for any updates. Who’s ready to go to Disneyland? Disneyland Disneyland just dropped a new ticket offer for locals, and you’re going to want to take advantage of this incredible deal. If you’re looking to pop in for a day to experience the magic, this new ticket offer is going to be right up your alley. Anaheim residents can now grab a 1-day ticket starting at $50 for children ages 3 to 9 and $71 for ages 10 and up. The tickets will be available for purchase online starting on July 16th and will be for visits from July 20th to October 8th, 2026. Hey, Mickey! July 17th, 2026, marks the 71st anniversary of Disneyland, and this way, locals can get in on the magic before the 70th anniversary celebration ends on August 9th. They can also get in on some Halloween action, which starts on August 21st. We’re celebrating 70 years in Disneyland! Disneyland also just started offering an Evening Ticket, which lets you into Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for a few hours. Tickets start at $59 and are available Sundays through Wednesdays from July 12th to August 5th. World of Color You can enter Disneyland from 7 PM to park close and Disney California Adventure from 5 PM to park close. July 4th may have come and gone, but there’s another celebration cooking up over in EPCOT, and it goes unnoticed by so many people! Japan Pavilion On July 7th, you’ll want to head over to the Japan Pavilion in World Showcase to check out one of the rarest celebrations, as it happens only once a year. Not only that, the celebration only takes place for FOUR hours, so you’ll want to set your calendars! Tomorrow, July 7th, is Tanabata, also called the Star Festival. This holiday celebrates the legendary meeting of two stars that are said to reunite just once a year! If you want to celebrate in Disney World, you’ll want to head over to Mitsukoshi in the Japan Pavilion between 1 and 5 PM. Mitsukoshi To celebrate, you’ll get the chance to take part in this cherished Japanese tradition by writing your wish on a tanzaku (wish paper) and hanging it on the bamboo trees. Your wish will hang with hundreds of others from all around the world! The Cultural Representatives in the Japan Pavilion will be dressed in Kimonos, and guests are welcome to wear Kimonos as well while they celebrate. @Mitsukoshi on Facebook This is a fantastic way to make a wish on a star, as well as learn about a beautiful celebration that is part of another culture. Disney World Resort hotels offer refillable mugs for guests to purchase and use for free refills throughout their vacation, but this is only applicable at the resorts. These are 16-ounce mugs that can be used for unlimited free refills on fountain drinks, coffee, and tea at participating Disney resorts for the length of stay up to 14 days. Disney Refillable Mugs Each mug costs $22.99 or comes with the purchase of a Disney Dining Plan. An RFID barcode is located on the bottom of the mug, which enables the mug to deactivate when your vacation is complete. Pricing Sign for Rapid Fill Refillable Mugs And if you decide you liked having a resort mug on your Disney vacation and want to do it again on your next, you’ll likely have to purchase a whole new mug. While some visitors have reported being able to reactivate the RFID chip in old mugs, it’s not guaranteed, and this is where Dollywood is superior. Your cabinet is going to start looking like this… At Dollywood, you’ll be able to purchase a refillable mug for refills at the start of your vacation AND bring it back on your next…and your next…and your next for MORE refills until the end of the season! Dollywood typically closes for the winter in early January and typically reopens in mid-March, so if you purchase a refillable mug in March, you’ll be able to use it ALL THE WAY until January!
